Didn't have much time to play yesterday so opened up Thronebreaker instead, only to immediately have to battle a huge Nilfgaard army. How do folks actually win these fights? The way I see it, I've got no troops that do damage every turn, I've got no troops that auto-heal/gain health every turn, and I'm limited to 125 total card value. Whereas enemies have no such limits, almost all their units regain health every turn and, with Nilfgaard, some of their units gain health when I do anything that might actually damage some of them. It's nice they put in the "I win button" for these matches, otherwise I'd be beyond stuck, but it would be nice to actually have a chance to beat them myself.

It's not the best choice! It's Spacer's Choice! That sums up what I've been doing for the last few days: killing marauders, outlaws, colorful alien monsters and corporates. I have the Firefly RPGs I never knew I wanted! Some random comments: - I don't think Parvati's casserole is going to taste that good unless it can be frozen. I'm going to have bought that thing weeks before it is eaten.
- This game feels both old school and new school (modern). I like it.
- I'm playing a sniper and it works awesomely. It's also easier to hit the weak spots with one.
- I wouldn't want to eat only saltuna or sprats for the rest of my live.
- Have people seen the rat in sprat?...I have.
- Lots of the companies have interesting acronyms T&L, MSI, ARM...
- The first few minutes were bad for my motion sickness. I had to change the FOV to 80 (75 is too narrow), turn down motion blur, disable headbob and I removed the chromatic aberration preemptively. I must not look at the weapon while sprinting too. Game run like butter on my 5700 XT so FPS drop aren't an issue. Took 2-3 hours to adapt. Greedfall still the most awful game for motion sickness I played in 2019.
- By the way, chromatic aberration sound like D&D monster name
- I got the game via Microsoft game pass for PC (not sure if I'm going to keep it, but it's kinda great for extended demo purpose), which by the way use a beta app that lack features and is a bit buggy...but GOG Galaxy 2.0 see the installed games so I don't care.
I'm talking of The Outer Worlds for those who didn't know.

Decided to take Coteries of New York out for a spin, and it's kinda awesome. The dialogue and writing are rock-solid. That writing in particular has always been one of White Wolf's strengths, even though it also makes all their rulebooks feel ridiculously dense. I'm really liking all the characters so far, especially D'Angelo, Tamika and Benois. The possible replies when talking theology and how it reflects on the vampire existence with Benois aren't anywhere near subtle enough for the topic, but the conversations are still lovely and interesting, and the kind of quiet introspection you'd only ever get in a text-based game. The artstyle isn't doing much for me though. The environments are gorgeously drawn, but when it comes to the sprites... Well, I've really resented the shift from old-fashioned sleaze'n'grease to weird haute couture versions of normal clothes and silly avant-garde outfits in this new edition of the RPG, and it shows a bit in CoNY too. Everyone seems a bit too perfectly put-together and nobody looks like they're really trying to pretend they're human, let alone normal. And it bugs me for a game titled 'The Masquerade'. And vampire society seems to have become strangely lenient even though security has ostensibly been amped up for the Information Age. Apparently leaving mortals "in on it" is okay now as long as they're into it and you don't actually throw it in the Prince's face? When I was a young kindred, that was instantly lethal blackmail material for the local Nosferatu at the very least. Childer these days. Besides all that though, every minute is engaging and well-written. I've started out by playing Andrew, a twenty-something down-on-his-luck corporate wage-slave who dreamt of rebelling against the system... until he was suddenly Embraced by a Brujah and thrown into real life-or-death situations, and figured out how important it us to shut your mouth and follow someone else's lead when you don't know what's going on, or when they're so much more powerful than you that any resistance would hurt you far more than them. I've decided that his main skill is his ability to read social situations and know when to press his advantage or lie down and show his belly, without a whole lot of pride getting in the way of survival or advancement. It's interesting to jump between projected confidence and whole-hearted groveling. Like a dog who's pathetically eager to please, and only barks or raises its hackles when it senses that it's safe to do so. Which I know isn't the usual Brujah style, but I figure even they must have cowards and phonies. Just before logging off I manifested Auspex on one of D'Angelo's missions, which I thought was weird. I'd already used Presence, Potence and Celerity, and figured that was it since they must have wanted each clan playthrough to fell distinguished. Now my guy feels like a Brujah/Toreador hybrid, which vaguely fits his behavior but... why?

Blade Runner I saw this popped up on GOG and couldn't believe my eyes. OMG! It's finally happened after years of waiting. Thank you GOG! Although I have the physical copy of the game, bought way back in 1997, it's not a piece of cake to install it on a modern machine. I bought it and installed it. Wow, sure brings back the memories. I'll not be spoiling anything but the ending depends on the player's actions and decisions. There're 13 variations in all. There is no graphic settings so everything is graphical '97s. Bready. Pixels. I'm not complaining. Voice acting is great and even for an aged game, the animations are good. The chars are not still and stiff in dialogues. Now if GOG could bring back ST TNG Final Unity.

After a weekend of various failed designs I finally made a working submarine prototype in From the Depths. Gave up on the space satellite to rain hell down. Submarine comes with 4 Torpedo launchers and 4 AA missiles. It also features a fat 450mm APS (gun) that shoots supercavitation shells from down below fixed forward & high elevation. I mean it say so in the title "from the depths".
The only thing that doesnt quite work out is the ballast but it is faily stable. And going backwards messes the pitch royally up. Even designed a radar and noise decoy for it. But I found out that I can project Youtube videos to an in-game screen to watch while I drive it, lol.

Decided to give Subnautica a shot. I enjoy the underwater exploration, but I have absolutely no idea what I am supposed to do. So just collected whatever, crafted stuff, fixed the pod, got a scanner, a knife, etc., watched a fiery explosion and can't figure out where to find new materials. And without a map I often find myself wandering in every direction. Sometimes I have no idea where I was and how to get back to that spot The ocean looks the same (more or less) below and I didn't figure you have to surface in order to get your bearings and make a mental note where you are at.
It's fun to swim around, but a bit annoying when you decide to search for materials. Inventory space is too limited, grrrr. Probably will be better when I get to that Habitat upgrade, but I just can't find silver and whatever else I needed for it. I guess I have to learn where the materials are at and stop trying to collect everything. But mine, mine, mine!!!
The exploding fish should die! Hate them! The stalkers are much better. Knife them a couple of times and they retreat. I guess I am yet to meet the bigger fish

I guess I am yet to meet the bigger fish Scan stuff near wrecks to get schematics. You want the seamoth as fast as you can to extend you search area and visit the other biomes. There are some special ones (schematics) in the big ship you'll need (note: you want to go there once your inboard AI start talking about radiations). You can craft lockers and place them in the habitat for more space. You can name beacons which you can craft once you scanned enough broken ones. I usually dump one near place of interest with related names (example: scary trench, monster here, don't go there, etc). There is an interface to toggle their HUD appearance. There is a small storylines, you'll learn about it once you explore the exploded ship. If you love mining, you'll love the Prawn.

Finished The Outer Worlds.
I got the good endings. I think. I do know that the Stranger is totally awesome though.
That's me, by the way. The stealthy sniper who killed only two persons in the last mission (mechs don't count).
and now I need to play something else. Sometimes I don't like being in vacations, too much free time, not enough games (or they are too long to download...I need a better tube to the internet).

Another game joined my mobile collection. The Arcana, Pokemon Masters and King's Raid was joined by A3! Pretty new game, so there's not much that I missed. And I really like curry-obssessed main heroine My Pokemon Sword playtime has surpassed 100h mark a while ago. And due to my shiny hunting and max raiding I'm running out of box space. I hate releasing mu hatched Pokemon but it got to the point where I have to do that. Bye bye little ones I can't wait for Pokemon HOME to start its service so I can store more Pokemon from this game and older ones. Oh and I recently made a mistake. I listened (excessively) to ME soundtrack. Soooooo.......... Ekhm... You'd think I'd learn that listening to soundtrack is the surest way to make me replay ME or DA, but nope.

I found another game to play, well technically I already had it installed as when I got Game Pass I installed two games: The Outer Worlds and Astroneer.
I wasn't too into Astroneer when I tried the tutorial and a first "save", but I guess I got addicted in my second try now that I finished tOW and I can focus on it. It will probably last me around 20ish hours, but that's fine, I got a bunch of real life things to do in the coming days anyway.

Playing Hitman Blood Money still. There isn't much to the story but there is a little there to connect one mission to another. In back to back missions I eliminated my target with poisoned cake, and I didn't realize until later but those two targets were father and son. The cake was a lie. LOL.

So...since my internet decided to crap out AGAIN in the middle of me playing Anthem...to Madden I went. Namely because Josh Gordon, IRL, once again relasped so he is once more indefinitley suspended from the NFL so..kinda felt compelled to get him off the team. So onto year three of my franchise and this is actually going to be a really interesting year...perhaps my most interesting year to date because Gordon was mid to high 80s. So right now I only have two really good recievers in Edelman and Cooks and the rest are...low eighties high 70s. On the bright side though I think because of this maybe I can really afford to start spreading the ball around more then ever...but more on that in a minute. Opened the season against the Jacksonville Jaguars and beat on them like 62-20. The good news is I had a fairly even start to the game...at least at first. Michel managed to get over 100 yards on 13 carries with 2 TDs....but 74 of those yards came on a single run. At first anyways I had a lot of quick throw type of plays though like to Dorsett and even got Harry involved. Hell Develin had 4 catches including a 23 yard TD reception on fourth down. Brady ended up the day with 195 yards, 6 TDs, 1 interception. Edelman had 6 catches for 113 yards and 2 TDs Cooks had 5 catches, I think a TD and 113 yards. Gronk and Ryder also contributed with TD receptions, Brady hit 11 different recievers ultimatley. The bad news is I am just through week 1 and my running back core has already been decimated with injuries. 3 of them are out for over a month with 2 of them now on IR (Bolden and Michel) which has forced me to sign another Back from free agency and well...this is probably going to lead to a lot more passing in the future. I think Brady can handle it though.

Wrapped up the Car Chase two days ago. Needed 8 tries more in total and one of the tries I could have sworn the game did mull about letting me pass. It did say no, but that's how close I was. Ended up winning because of two tips: Aim at the middle of the green ring around the heads, not the heads themselves. Which I'm not sure is a jerk move or a show of kindness. Second is hide in the car when being shot at, since supposedly metal is better against bullets and missiles than flesh. What nonsense. Moved a bit more with the story and stopped the game close to the end mission. Then took a break the day after because oof. Tried to play Tyranny but gave up near the end of the character creation because the game stresses me for some reason. Played Planescape Torment Enhanced edition instead, and oof it looks so nice and smooth. Also always delighted at how much more sense things make the older I get, but also start questioning how much English I actually understood back then. And if I even understand it now. Either way, got out of the mausoleum and caused a bit of havoc in the city. It was nice. Then did the final mission in Yakuza 0 today and my worries for Majima were unfounded because he did pretty good. But then again, did beef him up quite a bit before hand. He did get his eye poked though, which I feel a bit bad about. But at least he didn't go blind, even if I could have sworn the screen got a wee bit darker. Anyways. Turns out I could have just taken a cab to Sotenbori all along, so that was quite handy. So did that and wrapped up Majima's last quest, got some cool stuff, shot Mr. Shakedown dead, ect. Casual stuff. End game was just as delightful as last time. I both love and hate Majima's new look, both feelings very intense, so that was fun. Kiryu's new suit is just classy and Nishikiyama can't appreciate good fashion. Got quite a bit of stuff to do before 100% completion, except I really don't want to do any of it. It's mostly Majhong, and not the fun match two types. I have no idea what the end goal is, how things work and can't muster the interest to read through the library that is the beginners guide. There is also some arcade game stuff, which is doable, but not really interesting me. Then there are the two Amon's who make Mr.Shakedown look quite cuddly in comparison and some other mini games. So doubt I'll do it, but ya never know. So planning to move on to Kiwami next, which will undoubtedly give me headaches since it's supposedly quite harder than 0. So fingers crossed it will be as fun.

Back to Witcher B&W yesterday. I'm mostly traveling the map chasing ?'s, Lebioda rock carvers, knight errant tasks, yet more gwent cards, and whatever quest happens to be in the area. Cleared out the first hanse and forgot there's a cut-scene once you exit that fills the place up with knights. Next time I'll have to make sure I scoop up everything first before all their clutter is in the way.
I finally got my Grandmaster Wolf armor made, for around 10K gold. I'm still wondering where all that enriched dimeritiium plate went to - the only metal is on the shoulders, and certainly not 2 full plates' worth. I was robbed!
Corvo Bianco is all refurbished. Still need a few paintings to hang and completed armor sets to display. The elven shield I picked up during "Extreme Cosplay" can be treated like a painting and hung on the wall. I also gained another trophy to display by winning all the "fist fights" in Beauclair. They all had a bit of a twist to them, which was some much needed relief from the regular pummel matches in the rest of the game: a battle of wits, a GoT / Brienne of Tarth reference, a defensive test, and what seemed to me an homage to Jade Empire's Drunken Master fighting style. No bears though.
Still need to head back to Regis to go rummage around vampire-ville. I think that place is where the cool looking vampire armor is found.

I guess I am yet to meet the bigger fish You have to listen to the radio messages when they pop up. It's better to do what those messages said because you'll find more useful stuff. Beginnings are tough but it'll get better. Trust me, you don't want to meet the bigger fish.

Disco Elysium - almost at the end of my second PT. My strong and agile (but dumb and with zero peoples skills) hero is still going like hot knife through butter on everything the game throws at him. I think I found and did more quests (faster too) than my previous intelligent and emphatic Harry. So far I believe I couldn't get only two quests from my last PT, but the large number of new ones that I stumbled upon more than makes up for it. The bigger downside is that the thoughts for the Cabinet are definitely worse than the ones I could unlock the first time.
I find out much more stuff this time around. I got a conversation with Joyce that I didn't unlock before, which explained a lot about the Pale. And my investigation around the church gave much better insights about...
what actually happened to Harry before the game starts. I didn't quite figure it out the first time, probably because I didn't have high enough Shivers or something else. But now I am convinced Harry went and probably on purpose stuck his head in the 2mm hole in the world, in the hope the Pale either erases his Dora memories or makes him forget everything. Which means Harry is not really in just a drunken stupor, but also Pale crazy, which explains an awful lot.

I restarted my Astroneer playthrough. I did a few pointless things because the item descriptions can be a bit misleading and my base was a mess of organization (resources and machines all over the place). My new base spawned right next the two base materials and a passage leading underground. I removed all the material and then covered the hole to not fall into it...that can be dangerous, especially when driving a vehicle (recent experience ahaha). Speaking of vehicle, I was ready to take off (you have to visit other planets/moons to get certain resources) and all I need was ammonium for the trusters. I found a nice batch in a nearby forest, even had to do the trip twice. But the second time around I didn't take the right way back home and I got lost. Like totally lost. Didn't know how to go back to base. Rushed online to see if I missed a feature but nope. The only solution was: starter base is always at the equator and the stars belts shows the way. Totally accurate. I'm now going to have to pay better attention at the sky to orient myself.
