Well I was planning on a new run through Witcher 2, but then Geralt's face and hair were annoying me, so I got side tracked into modding them again. It wasn't that long ago that I played it and was happy with the way he looked then, but it was long enough for me to completely forget how to mod Witcher 2, and I spent all day trying to convert .dds files into .xbm's, and then I remembered that I used the Witcher 2 Redkit last time, and it does all the converting for you. It's a bastard getting old, I tell you. Anyway I got the hair toned down a bit and it looks a bit more natural, but still far too shiny, but that will have to wait, it's my wife's birthday on friday (the big seven O) so we have family coming tomorrow and I won't have time to play. "It's a bastard getting old, I tell you. Anyway" Tell me about it, I get so frustrated sometimes after realising I have been trying to do something and having completely forgotten the easy solution that I have used previously, this was the case for me replaying DAO recently and trying to figure out the MODS!!!!

Hearts of Iron: Third attempt at playing Germany. The second attempt, I went the path to oust Hitler. I didn't like it. I didn't like to reside over a ruin of a country when the civil war was finally ended in '43. I also didn't like the rhetoric during the gameplay. It was history ignorant and immersion breaking. Third, I forgot to disable history paths by AI, so much less insanely chaotic, but also more on rails. Never mind. First game I struggled with the lack of general & infrastructure resources, so this time I went: 100 civilian factories or bust. The consequence of that is that I have a constant lack of military hardware instead. Oh well. The thing is that while I'm building military factories now, I still miss out on all the accumulative production that more military factories would have churned out since 1936. Thus I can't give sufficient Lend Lease aid to Finland and Poland. It's very frustrating. ...And ominous, since I'll soon share border with Soviet. Oh well.
Oppose Hitler took you until '43?
Ow. I'll let you know when me and the boahs are playing another game. You will learn a lot from some of them.
Well, I certainly botched the civil war. Too many and too small armies. I managed to cause too many holes for enemy units to slip through, which I then had to hunt down etc. Very confused flailing about. But '43 is where I abandoned the game. I don't know when I had finished dealing with Hitler, could have been '42. This is a learning project. I need to learn how the game works because it sure ain't working like WW2. (In my current game, USA and Britain is at war with each other. This game became crazy too, just a matter of time.). Air power doesn't work properly. It seems like an afterthought. Army land warfare seem to have been the developers main focus. But all that is fine, because this is a game to play around with, not a simulation. But it does mean I have to explore the mechanics. ...At least that is a lot more fun than reading the documentation with a calculator in the hand - which is something I won't do anyway. I have no hurry. Things I'm curious about are things like whether combined arms work well. Seems so. I'm giving my infantry divisions one light panzer battalion for support, but the positive effects could be due to just the strengthening of the division. I don't know. But I'm tinkering with stuff like that.

So not much time to play TD2 yesterday, got myself to L10 and did some side missions and took control of another control point and accidentally called for back-up after I'd taken it . Guy spawned in and was WTF??? He did kill some random NPC's which was great as it dropped a decent piece of gear. One of the side missions was pretty tough and I died on the final phase first attempt but mostly due to my own stupidity as I thought I was stuck in one position . Second time I discovered there was actually a way for me to move to another position so as to avoid getting into a stand up with the Elite Boss due and that made it much easier. Cleared all of one area now and about to clear another area today, not much to do as I'd done some previously. Getting a bit frustrated with the shitty loot drops from doing these missions. The XP is great but it'd be nice to get a decent armour or weapon drop every now and then. Pic's Another couple of Elite guys dead and no damn loot. The guy hiding behind the pole was a pain in the ass, he was part of a mission but actually took off and ran away over 100 metres and I had to chase or not to move onto the next section of the mission. Mmmmm hate the Labs, reminded me of the specimen collection in MEA on The Tempest.

I fired up Nioh not too long ago. Owned the game before I had switched to Win10 so I had re-installed it. I kept running into a frame skipping issue and so I googled it and found a handy thread on Steam addressing the problem. It was my thread I started a year ago about frame skipping issues in Nioh....

I broke my thumb playing Celeste. It was dirt cheap on Steam. I don't have a lot of gaming time currently, so I figured a small, simple game would be a nice way to pass the time. Only problem is, I had forgotten how long it's been since I've played any game whatsoever that required high intensity button mashing.
The game itself is cute and wholesome and fun in much the same way Super Meat Boy was. I know a lot of people become enraged playing this kind of platformer, but I find it a strangely soothing experience. I tune out and continue reflexively retrying each individual level until I beat it and tell myself I'll try just one more, and by the time I've come to is twenty screens later and my fingers don't move properly anymore.

So a frustrating day in TD2 today, not much time so decided to do 2 particular missions but as usual got bogged down helping a hostage and clearing roaming enemies so decided to do just one of them. Sanunes it's the one in Federal Triangle with the EMP's you have to disable on the last floor against Sergeant Wilder. Anyway the damn thing has multiple levels and I worked my way through them uneventfully and then got to the last level where you have to disable 3 EMP turrets whilst fighting with limited cover against lots of enemies but disable the EMP's within a time limit. So frantically ran around doing that (within the time limit) and then cleared some enemies and then the boss guy came. Took him down relatively easily if not overly quickly all the while fighting other enemies as well. So the boss guy falls over dead and BAM I got kicked back to the respawn point whilst I was killing his friends. I needed to stop for a minute so hit escape and when I come back the game had kicked me back to a safe house, meaning I have to do the whole damn thing again!!!!! I have no idea why it kicked me to the respawn point, anyway, I watched a video of a guy doing it and he did it taking a longer time than me to disable the EMP's and also killed the boss before the other henchmen just like I did. So I still don't know why it kicked me!!!! So then thought alright I should have enough time to do it again if I just sprint there and don't engage any roaming enemies. Well within 100m of my 500m journey I got set upon by 4 separate groups and died within 2 minutes. So that was the end of that for the day. Really not looking to do the mission again because the first 3 or 4 floors are just a grind, oh well it is what it is. On a happier note I bought a new Monitor today now just have to wait for it, I hate waiting. ASUS VG278QR 27" Full HD 165Hz Ultra Fast Gaming Monitor saandrig

So BF 2...
I got my 2 levels with Rey back, which was always a nice bonus. I don't know what it is but I have been really having some epic kill streaks going with the base trooper of late the other day it was like 33 on Jakku and nearly had it the whole match and now on SK base...before I could get my hands on Rey. It was a bit touch and go there for a while but I did it. And we won the match to boot. Then did a few rounds of HvV which continue to not go too well but it got down to a 2-2 tie with me playing Vader...a flurry of lightsaber blows later and we lost 2-0.

Yeah it is not had much luck myself the last couple of days lost my internet connection so haven' tbeen able to make much progress at all in any of the games I wanted to play. Thankfully I'm now back online now so now I'm playing catch up. Updating my NFS Heat game and hopefully Fifa 20 as well. Especially as I wanted to get all the Black market bits for NFS Heat downloaded along with the 2 new cars. Hope to make some progress on Fifa 20 today though once all the updates are installed. Once they are I can start playing Fifa 20 and download NFS Payback.

So, if a boat is sentient, does we say that we stole a boat or that we kidnapped a boat? And if it she doesn't want to move, is it really stealing/kidnapping? Because that is where Lohse is at in Divinity Original Sin 2. Although, I probably should call it a galleon because it's kinda big. And people where right, a certain NPC does flirt with Lohse. I also saw some of the other Origins around despite me never talking to them since starting this playthrough. That's interesting. By the way, I find that the Seekers are using me: "Hello, can you distract the whole army there at the dock while we steal the boat, we will comeback for you, promise".

It really sucks for I had a crash to desktop in NYC yesterday and when I came back I had to redo an entire mission that had a couple of frustrating points to complete. The plus side at least from my experience was that instead of taking about a hour to complete it only took 30min because I knew all the tricks Ubisoft put into the game to kill me during that mission.

By the way, I find that the Seekers are using me: "Hello, can you distract the whole army there at the dock while we steal the boat, we will comeback for you, promise". Because that ends well in all RPGs out there... The only way you can be certain someone will come back is if they say "I am absolutely, definitely, positively, unquestionably, beyond any doubt not coming back for you. Don't wait, here is my goodbye forever letter with a signed in blood confirmation testimony from the High Priest of my religion and 13 vestal virgins."

On a happier note I bought a new Monitor today now just have to wait for it, I hate waiting. ASUS VG278QR 27" Full HD 165Hz Ultra Fast Gaming Monitor saandrig I expect a full debriefing on your experience after you put the monitor through it's paces. Will do Captain, Sir.

ASUS VG278QR 27" Full HD 165Hz Ultra Fast Gaming Monitor saandrig Sounds like both occasions the game thinks you died and sent you back to respawn points for those areas. It was really weird there was just no warning in the mission it just kicked me in the middle of a firefight and I was full health, so...…. But yeah it will be quicker today unless I just try and get smart. I was mostly annoyed because I actually completed it really well tactically, especially compared to the guy in the video I watched. I think I used only one armour kit and that was as a precaution (still had 50% armour) when the Elite Boss guy spawned.

RDR2 I've been playing a lot over the last couple of weeks, just haven't posted about it. This game is insane. The attention to detail is off the charts good, from what I've seen. It has cracked - in my view - the single biggest issue that I - and others - have with big "open world" games. The 'busy work'...is fun. And it means something both in game and narratively. Because there are survival elements to the game, you have to eat. Hunting and fishing takes care of that, but then you also have a gang of people depending on you to provide for. Now, some of these people I would gladly cast into the void - *glares at Micah* - but a lot of them are very well realised and likeable. The main story missions are all entertaining and challenging, and the optional Honour missions provide a path for choosing what type of person Arthur Morgan is. I'm in Chapter 6 (don't know how many there are) and just picked up the Steam achievement for "Extreme Personality", which is getting the maximum level of Honour or Dishonour (I got Honour). The follow through on some of these optional missions is great - a simple debt collection job early in the game turned into one of the most heart-breaking thing's I've ever encountered in a game just a couple of days ago. You can really see the lives of people who Arthur interacts with changing for better or for worse. This particular instance was definitely for the worse - based on the earlier debt collection - and Arthur's reaction, both to the person who's life he'd ruined and to the Lender of the money, was perfect. I have - for all of my gaming life - been a PC Master Race snob. I saw the reviews for this game when it first came out on console and snorted. "No console exclusive could be that good." etc etc. I was wrong. In my view, this game is a fucking masterpiece. And I'm not even finished yet. Some screenshots

looks so real, reminds me of Odyssey. Was the balloon flying fun, looks like it'd be fun? Very similar to Odyssey in a lot of ways. Odyssey looks a bit...more fantastical, I think. The colours are much, much brighter and more vivid. RDR2 is more muted, so when they throw at lot of colour saturation at you, it really sticks out. The balloon was cool. You're spying on an island prison, so can't get too low, or the guards will shoot at you. But you need to get low enough to see the person you're looking for. But it's the end of the balloon ride where things get intense.

In BF 2... Still haven't gotten the new maps in HvV...*grumble* lol the longer this takes the more this is delaying me from playing that...one annoying AC7 mission. Anyways I was thinking to myself after another very rough HvV round 'man what happened...I was better then this...will I ever have another good round of HvV again'...well then I had back to back great rounds with some of the most unique gameplay and moments imaginable! In brief back to back rounds with Kylo and Rey. Kylo finished 4th, Rey 3rd. With Kylo it was just funny as hell I had somebody playing Maul on my team and there was multiple times throughout the match it looked like he was attacking me as Kylo. Like doing the jump attack he is and he was just swinging at me. Towards the end me and him defeated someone and he just said 'I sense your fear' I believe...I was like mcscuse me. I got like 10+ kills and 16 deaths, for a while it was me and just 2 other people. I THINK it pretty much came down to the wire again. Towards the end me and this one guy got into it constantly killing each other, I think he was targeting me and vice versa. Which continued onto the next round which came down to the wire again... It is a bit weird at the end of the day it takes a long ass time to build up XP if you are not on a tripple or double XP weekend...I guess git good is the rule of the day for that.
