Horizon Zero Dawn According to the game statistic I'm 69,42% done with the game, which seems like the perfect point to end the session. Hoho. (A bit of a lie, ended up playing more and am at around 70%). Also realized I'm a big dumb, since I was so annoyed the sound direction seemed to be just utter nonsense. Turned out I had my headphones on wrong. Whoops. Now if I could only find out why she goes colorblind in the rain my woes would be over. (Well that and find out how to remove fall damage since the most deaths on my part have been due to gravity. Odyssey spoiled me). Been mostly having fun over the sessions, so that's nice. Also met Vanasha and her abs and that was just glorious. And learned how to wrestle down the birdies and bind them to my will. Now only if I could send them off to poop at my enemies and life would be just swell. Kill em with birdshit eh? not suer tha twould ever work anyway.

Because the next quest did the same damn problem. So first of all Petrus decides to lure the Mother Cardinal out of hiding and get us some blackmail on her for his own reasons. Now the quest says something along the lines of 'you have to last for five minutes in combat and then be defeated' but the objective says 'defeat champion' so finally, after two attempts I defeated him...it was all part of the ruse was for me to defeat him...now granted I could have missed something but I don't remember hearing about that during the quest so...ok. If you listened to Petrus's plan, he very clearly states a few times that the goal is to convince everyone involved you will lose after a good fight, but the goal is to actually win and put the Mother in massive debts since she would be lured into placing bets on your loss.
Got the Yakuza bundle from Steam (discounts, yay). Started with Yakuza 0. You immediately know you are in a Japanese made game Loads of minigames you can completely ignore, tons of long cutscene interventions and quite a while before you actually feel you got out of the tutorial, only to be hit with more tutorials. So far, so good. It's an interesting game, but the fact you can't see the side quests and they just appear randomly (sorta) is a bit annoying. I think I missed a bunch because I didn't just run around aimlessly in the first area. Stopped playing for the day when a side quest required a mandatory fishing minigame. Like, hake no!

Nowhere Girl
It let's you pick your name and sex at the start but nevertheless, it feels like a game that was written for men that they then decided halfway through had an ambiguous enough protagonist that you could say MC could be feasibly female.* But you're default within an unrequited love with your female coworker and then have a busty female ghost phantom chained to your ankle that you're also supposed to fall in love with to make the "curse" end. soooooooo... I'm just not bisexual enough for this *shrugs*
*if your character is so lacking in personality and other real traits that they could be either male or female, I feel like this should have been a flag that was remedied. It doesn't help that the personality of the MC seems to be "directionless office drone" either.

I think I missed a bunch because I didn't just run around aimlessly in the first area. Pretty sure the side quests never expire nor stop being available, so no worries about missing them time wise. Finding them is another matter entirely Kill em with birdshit eh? not suer tha twould ever work anyway. But these are robot birds Their dropping should be a bit heavier. Or acidic.

Sounds of Verity*laughing* "You are still the Crown Prince even if you organize an uprising against yourself!" Best line of a visual novel ever. It's so beautiful in it's ridiculousness. Did I pay for this? *check* yes. Good. Okay, so I randomly ended up in a lesbian relationship I wasn't even gunning for based off my choices. So I think I've decided that this is a flaw in some romantic visual novels. SURELY I the player know best as this character who I have the feelz for. So it should always be up to the player and not left randomly to arbitrary unclear decisions who the MC ends up with. And if there is only one path to a happy ending so much so that you have to use a Guide to achive it, you've also reduced a lot of the enjoyment of the story as well as the power of the player to express what type of MC they are (with the confined of the allowed expressions anyway.) So I knock it for that, but I nonetheless found the Happily Ever After super adorbs and well done. SO no regrets paying less for this than I did for that garbage, "The Men of Yoshiwara". Took less than 2 hours two, and I kind of like all the potential silly death endings.

Without a Voice
innocent naïve little princess girl befriends what is SO OBVIOUSLY the spirit of a Wisteria tree. While giving her undoubting devotion to her brother that is obviously using her. And somehow my choices led to her turning on the Wisteria spirit that was trying to help her with her own traiterous brother's army marching down on her, obviously meant to execute her in some way. Or less horribly, maybe just marry her off like a pawn.
I'm too irritated by the character being so determined to be as thick as a rock to continue. I don't even know how my choices led to this outcome, as I chose to constantly doubt the brother and never doubt the Wisteria Tree Sprit. Grr.

Finished my third playthrough of Pathfinder: Kingmaker, this one with a female human Paladin of Iomedae.
For the first time i had time to visit all the areas in all the regions of the map which made it possible to open the barrier of the magical prison and fight the lich Farnirras the Pensive, and again i`ve managed to get all the advisors ranked up to level ten except the minister, who i could only got to level eight before running out of time.
All the companions survived, although i had my doubts about Nok-Nok since this time i had made him a jester instead of a hero, but the little guy still survived in the end. Nyrissa was killed this time and after defeating the Lantern king i convinced him to lift the curse and go away. Maybe one day i`ll try to get the secret ending but for now it seems a lot of work (and from what i`ve read i can easily miss a step and not achieve it) for a character that i'm not particularly fond of... so maybe one day.

Orion: Prelude
Legit advertised as "the worst game of all time." You play as one of three classes, fending off waves of killer dinosaurs.
"PROTECT OUR BASE, HOMIE!"
Considering the solid gunplay and that's it's literally 99 cents U.S., this is a great party game.

The Far Rings: A Space Opera
I was emotionally invested. I got the bad ending. And unlike most visual novels, the bad ending felt right. So I shant replay it (probably not). But I liked it. The music was good and appropriate to the setting. The random cute moments got you attached. It was tense and it showed in how people were acting. It was FREE and I recommend it.

It's essentially a lesbian romance game where you play a dragon version of Pokemon Go with the other lesbians and maybe fall in love over it. I was never into Pokemon Go, I'm not very bisexual, but mostly what turns me off is how energetically peppy the main character is. Like Cheerleader ra ra bouncy excited as soon as she wakes up and I cannot relate.
The art is good, the writing is acceptable, and the girls are cute so if you're into women and the premise, I recommend it? sorta?
And with that, I end my pile of Already Purchased and Free Visual Novels. oh wait, there is one more

oh wait, there is one more Destinies War Princess, A war/love story
Oh no. It's by the same Developers as "The Men of Yoshiwara." um.... *clicks anyway* I'm morbidly curious how much of a cluster this will be. *pre reads some commentary about it* oh no, what really *cringe* timey wimey alternate realities where your father, brother, fiance, vassal, and a ninja die and are replaced by people who just think they're your father, brother, fiance, and vassal? Like whyyyyy incest whyyyyy. It's "incest" but "not incest" but still. Why. So, I click on the "fiancé" path. I mean, that seems like safe option. --- First scene is him destroying a flower bed with a sword like a pyschopath and telling you you are being over emotional for caring that he destroyed your favorite flowers. .... Next. I'm not clicking on the Father or brother. The Father came off as a uncaring psycho just in the common route. *clicks the Vassal*-- First scene is him petting a wild rabbit who's taken a liking to him. Aw. Then he's going to kill it. Your gentle heart is disturbed by this, and you ask him not to. He then calls you a hypocrite aaaaand... sorry, I'm vegan. I can usually just ignore all the meat eating in games/stories/movies but to actually have a discussion built in about it where I don't get to save the bunny is just a turn off. Who does that leave me... random murder-hobo ninja or incest... *sigh.* I just give up. *turns it off.

Which birds the big Storm Birds or the Glint hawks are you talking about? Stormbirds are hard but the rope caster helps and tear blaster arrows are good as well. Glinthawks a couple of fire arrows will take them down, literally one or two willcause them to crash and burn. The birds themselves aren't too much a bother, it's just that I don't know how to use them (if you even can) after you've overridden them. Same with all the other machines. Mostly it's just override one and cross fingers and hope it wanders back to their buddies. Would be nice if you could use the lure or something to guide them in a direction at least. Or maybe it's just working as intended Finally have some pics for top spot. So my favorite time of day in the game. When everything goes pink for a moment Yeah i never got the over riding thing for animals you couldn't use to ride. I think only Striders and Tramplers you can ride but over riding the other things just turns them friendly and i think a couple of other times it caused other machines to attack the over ridden one so maybe it's meant to be a distraction. Would have been the best thing ever to be able to ride the Stormbirds!!!!!! Nice screenshot.

Welp, I mostly redid some levels in Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate in order to level up Zuo Ci, Xu Huang, and Deng Ai. I'm trying to level up my characters significantly but also keep themselves more or less level with each other while doing multiple characters at once. So far, it's a bit tedious replaying old missions over and over again, but in a strange way,it reminds me of the good ole' days of the previous Dynasty Warriors titles where I replayed other stages just to level up my character over and over again. In fact: leveling up my characters was almost relaxing in a funny sort of way.

phoray I'd suggest Hustle Cat, if you are looking for a decent VN. It was cute, short and unwanted-advances-free. Or Red Embrace: Hollywood, but not for "romance" (sex is completely optional, which I highly approve of). It is more of a (very, very good) power-fantasy. Or Loren: The Amazon Princess. High fantasy, optional romance, 2 mostly pre-defined avatars to choose from.
--- Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning. I've reached the main hub/city of the region and got a house there. So far, so good. --- About Greedfall. It is possible to ignore Petrus' questline without any consequences (or I just did not notice them).

Horizon Zero Dawn. Visited the Frozen Wilds and noped the heck outta there. Too cold, too daemonic. Hoho. Picked some flowers and completed my collection. Got all the tallboys, all the flowers, all the goat statues and all the vantage points. So think I got it all tbh. Finally got around to doing the Hunters lodge stuff. Hehe. Clean forgot about the birds and just strolled up there with no arrows or nothing. So it was a bit of a scrabble. Then my culling of Snapmaws made the resolution very speedy. Which I'm not happy about, since nobody threatens me and keeps breathing through their mouth hole They get a new throat one with extra air ventilation. But alas, such is life. The lodge led me to killing my first Thunderbird, since I've usually just tied them down and overridden them if they got a too fussy about my presence. And let's just say that it'll be the last one I'll kill unforced. Because they are beautiful and not because I can't wrangle the camera to look up in the air properly, which led to a lot of crossing fingers that the flying menace would just land on the ground and do it's little thunder dance...No sirree. Also got an access to a canon for a mission. Except I didn't understand the manual and just beat up all the foes with my handy dandy stick, because once more, no arrows. Whoops. Did the Deep Secrets of the Earth main quest. And like the main bulk of it was fine, except I really could've done without combat tbh. The bit with the firecracker gun just felt super unfair. Then got to be super unfair back once I got my hands on a deathbringer gun and carried it aaaaall the way to the next encounter. Hoho they never stood a chance. Story bits were real nice though. Liked the little interview logs. But the ending. That voice, that grunt, those pillars and then a 5 second outfit change in a dust cloud. Aloy would've been a natural at theatre in the modern age, that's for sure. And finally learned that cryo tubes can be shot with cryo arrows for big freeze. I got the flame because flames+explosives=kaboom, but the ice stuff just never occurred to me. So yeah much love.

In Greedfall: So I did quite the marathon of this game as things turned out so as always lets see if I can remember what I did. I've really started to nail out the main story quests, something I usually do on the weekends anyways and since I don't seem to have any side quests left or am running low on them it seems almost natural for me to go ahead and bull rush the main quests. Though I should note right now I am in kind of a weird place with this game, as I noted some of its systems are annoying me to the point of the game not being fun anymore so I do want to get through the quests and finish it, I am starting to get an 'Odyssey itch' again, I mean even despite Valhalla coming out almost seems I am getting one anyways, and well it seems like all the plot points are converging. And yet contradictorily I am also worried about finishing the game too quickly. . Though its funny as if the game is reading my mind (something its doing a lot of recently) we have multiple characters insisting that my 'adventure is far from over.'. So I think I did basically three main quest arcs...sort of. Going after Catasach was the first order of the day and this is now my least favorite quest of the main story, though not sure how much is 'its fault'...because it had a massive bug on it which really hindered progress for awhile, a game breaking one, (almost a playthrough ending one if I'm honest). Anyways the quest wanted me to blow up three tenlan nests since they were being aggressive of late and well I didn't have explosives to do all of them so I had to go back to camp and fortunately I could craft the few I needed. But when I went back to it the objective marker had moved...over the head of a native. Even though this was funny (gee does the game want me to blow her up) almost nothing I could do, including reloading saves, was fixing it. Fortunatley I went online and researched where the nests 'should' have been, and when I went to go to the location on the second one I found the correct choice and the marker rebooted when I got close enough. And well Theleme is being dicks now and I am being a dick to Theleme...but more on that later. . The Trial of Waters was a lot better in a lot of ways but it is kind of emblematic of what I am suspecting is the problem with this game, namely what I am dubbing the 'second half' of the game Spiders started to run out of resources and of course had to save some for the end so it seems like this quest just had an...unfinished air to it, while still interesting the potential was there for something a lot more, and given how the native talked it up I was probably expecting a lot more. But anyways I went through it fairly easily and quickly, put the bear looking creatures asleep, the dosantants ambushed me and...the main bit where it seems corners were cut, it seems there was supposed to be a cutscene to explain a ritual just like one which happened before for another ritual...but instead De Sardet just explained what he saw. No big deal I guess but it was a bit jarring. Also I noticed a Nadaig in the background so I was on nerves that if I failed it would attack...I failed and my breath caught...but it did not attack, I got it right the second time though I forgot part of the riddle. And I was pleased with what Glendan had to tell me about my De Sardet's character but A. not entirely sure how that was supposed to prove it and B. it indicated there was a different way to deal with the dosantants but they ambushed me so... The biggest take away from this whole thing though is that the Native hierarchy is super interesting with the mal's and then the council which is led by a secretive High King... Third up went back to Constantin and found out that he was missing...dun dun dun!...and that he left on an expedition with Catasach to go with the coin guard to help him with his pain. A soldier reported in that it did not go well. Now for the most part this game's pacing is really good by how long it takes to get anywhere, that it specifically mentions to you, but now time is very much of the essence to find Constantin. But needless to say after two more lacklustre quests the game has actually gotten good again. I found the mystery of what was going on and who did what to be entirely entrhalling as I was trying to follow the trail of carnage and eventually clues. Burning trees, explosions, corpses of animals and natives and soldiers from the Congregation and the Alliance. Of course the one sour bit of this bit that once again the game took control of De Sardet way out of my hands. He started assuming Catasach was responsible for the attack and that he set all this up as an elaborate ambush for Constantin...which of course pissed off Siora which I the player, had to be like, IRL 'no of course I don't believe it'...I mean this would seem like an instance of the game telling the player who was responsible and making sure a plot point was driven home but surprise surprise...he did not do it. And given the Bridge Alliance soldiers nearby and De Sardet mentioned 'canons' maybe being involved (and perhaps my own biases given how much of an ass hole they have been to this point) they were the first, best suspects, not Aidan. Now going off to the outpost come to find out there was a survivor of the attack there as well, but he was badly wounded. Come to craft the potion and he mentioned native 'sorcerors' were involved...so off to the natives I went. I was also nervous because knowing where I was I knew I had to go through that one native camp for the third time, the one where I pissed off the natives and killed some of their dudes...but this time they were peaceful. So I confronted them and they were like...predictably...how can you blame us for the attack! We would never attack a donegaid...but they did have the body. Long story short we ran a ritual which let us see the last moments of his life and interestingly enough Constantin's abductor was...Vinbarr the High King that has been missing. Of course this begs a lot of questions both about what Catasach was intending to do and why Vinbarr would be pissed enough to kill him for the idea but he did mention 'you want to bond with the death bringer'...which makes me think that Catasach was going to lessen his pain by doing the same ritual on the Constantin that might make him an On...thingamabopper. Which begs the question then if the Malichor could be transferrable to the rest of the island magic system via this bond and that is what Vinbarr meant by 'death bringer' or is something else going on? *tries not to think about the vid titles he saw...ahem* Anyways though I decided that was enough main questing for the moment so I went to go knock off some side missions. First up helping Siora discover the truth about the pact her mom made with Theleme...they lied what a shock. Though because I did not go and 'confront' them with it first (I missed the game telling me about the objective) they were pissed and I lost reputation with them. No big loss though. And I gained three rep with Siora which bumped her up to friendly, visions of De Sardet getting lucky danced in my head... but then I misinterpreted some dialogue which pissed her off and knocked me back down. ...seems there is still a chance though. Finished up by starting to look into the 'secrets of the Nauts' side quest line and investigating a Naut sailor selling information to other nations. I don't think Alba is the one responsible though the set up seems too easy. Though I lost more rep with Theleme when I killed the Inquisitor torturing a native. I did it fully wide awake though and thinking that might happen but my other option was to just ask him to delay his hunt...which I thought wouldn't have freed the native he was torturing to death so figured that was a price well worth it. Granted while I may never play this game again I do have some interest in trying to figure out what some of these other paths might do, specifically it would seem very hard to believe that going after the healer for either Theleme or the Bridge might cause the sequence of events I outlined above..though of course its possible.

Finished Watch Dogs 2 last night. It was "fine". Will likely not play it again, though, which makes me glad I got it for free.
Marcus is a fantastic protagonist and - EdgeLord supreme "Wrench" aside - I liked Marcus' crew well enough, the hacking puzzles were good and the quad-copter was a lot of fun once you'd fully upgraded it, but I just didn't really "feel" it.
Will head back to Odyssey next - Kassandra is doing everything in her power to avoid confronting her destiny. Procrastination is a time honoured tradition.

Finished the main story of Horizon Zero Dawn. Struggled quite a bit with the last two battle sections. Was pretty happy I learned how to use the Osaram Cannon in that side quest and it was a nice weapon, but I just don't like using it and my hands were kinda aching by the end. Which probably made me more grumpier than I would been, because I was just not in the mood to roll around the next boss. Pretty grateful that they had autosave checkpoints between the reinforcements bits, because redoing the whole thing would have felt way too soul crushing. Ended up cheesing it by the end though, because my salt levels were too damn high, so just crammed Aloy behind a flowerbed on the edge of the map and took pot shots at the boss while the allies dealt with his cronies. Which is very cheap but the mood was oh so sour by that point. Otherwise I enjoyed the endgame quite a lot. The last two bunkers were really interesting, the build up for the final battle was really well done and I loved how many of the sidequests bore fruit at that point.
Leaving the Frozen Wilds dlc for later or never, because I currently don't want to see this game's combat ever again. But who knows what I'll think tomorrow.
But all in all it was a nice game. Can see why people love it, but it just didn't click that much with me. Except for the end of Deep Secrets of the Earth. I loved that bit. And Nil. Nil was fun.

I really liked the Frozen Wilds and highly recommend it but there are some really nasty machines to deal with near the end. I found the quests and NPC's really good in the DLC and the main story as well. I was a bit hesitant to do it myself but I am glad I did it on normal and if I did it again I'd do it on Story because i too struggle with the combat more than I usually do in games. On Story you can pretty much just stick to using the bows. Well done on the Lodge stuff did you complete all the trials? I skipped them first PT cause I suck but managed to get enough done this time to get a pass to The lodge but that PT has stalled due to stupid nerve injury in neck. No gaming except for the ACOD Weekly.

I recommend doing the dlc because it has strong ties with the base game and it'll be important for the sequels. Also, it explains the derangement.

In Greedfall: So I finished up looking into the Secrets of the Nauts...and well yeah it was Captain Reuben in not a big surprise. Helped Siora put her mom to rest and got bak up to friendly with her as a result. And now looking into where Vinbarr went and the Cavern of Knowledge. Which does seem a little hinky since Doneigarde can only go into, which what's her face isnn't...and we aren't either...yet she is letting us go in there. Though it was a rather big shock seeing the Bridge Alliance people we rescued way back in the quest is the ones who was doing the capturing and the torturing and calling the natives animals...which I mean what goes around comes around but I was quite unhappy over the whole thing. Also awkward moment I snuck up and killed one of them before the cutscene where I confronted them triggered.

The natives are such lovely people with no agenda...
