Akash: Path of the FiveGame Mechanic 1: think the game lets you have a hand in choosing who you end up with, but it is still based on points. I was chewing on who I'd go with this time around, and so I had enough points to do either Sirocco or Lux. But Lux doesn't flirt with you, so it was easy to friendzone him again. Better luck next time, Lux.
Game Mechanic 2: I had wondered about whether who you chose as your romantic partner determined what element the PC chooses to become herself. The game has asked a yes/no question, but it's the illusion of choice. Your character declares they know what they'll become (but doesn't say it) or PC states "the Goddess will decide" so it's implied its not chosen by PC. But both options matched me to the romance I'd chosen.
Game MEchanic 3: there are epilogue stories! what! where you meet your romantic partners' families. Rocco's was much more bitter sweet than I expected; it explained his over the top nature as well as why his love confession came off a bit strong. And the epilogue of Ignatious had this moment with his Grandma where she discussed with PC that she was the only other female fire elemental she'd ever met her entire life. That moment of insight into the loneliness the older woman must have felt, and that PC was spared was really deep. It made me wish we'd gotten to spend more time with PC feeling what that was like with her. It's really tough to say who's my favorite between these two.
So. Things I liked about Rocco is that the writer did allow little peeks of his more mature side to show in between pervy comments. Additionally, if you told him off, he took it in stride, and agreed to your boundaries. That I could keep choosing to flirt or tell him to cool off was heavily appreciated; this prevented the whole internal monologue of "even though he's just such a creep I seem to keep thinking about him!" silliness that sometimes comes out with other games' romances. so it was believable that the MC could fall for him. What I loved, LOVED about his route was the method I challenged him into using to get us out of the dungeon. my jaw dropped, not gonna lie. I bluffed, and the game called my bluff. Additionally, and perhaps this isn't so much about Rocco but a strength of the game...
There are moments where PC honestly feels uncomfortable with the events going on. It would make way better sense for her to reach out to her childhood friend, Lux, during moments she felt unsafe. especially at the start of the game when she hasn't spent any 1 on 1 personal time with anyone else yet. Im quite pleased that during these moments, I can rely on the narrative logic of her choosing Lux and to not have that be considered a choice for romancing him. For example, Caspian is cold, logical, disapproving, and overall just unfriendly. It would make no sense for PC to choose him near very start of the game to chaperone her walk so she can feel safer, when he frightens her a little bit just by being himself. So just like with Rocco- he's a bit of a perv. She feels unsafe because Random Villager perved her on her way home. She's not going to ask Rocco to chaperone her walk when she's already feeling vulnerable from such advances. I just think its cool not to be locked into one route just because I didnt select the romance option no matter what for every occasion. Looking forward to playing more, even if the other options aren't as clickable.

Took my Nissan Silhouette Group-5 car for a spin against pretty brutal AI. And had a catastrophic accident. I hit a bump, air got underneath the car and lost all downforce, sending me flying through the air. To my defense, that car is brutal to control, when the turbo kicks in its hard to keep it in a straight line and it jumps and swings around like some untamed angry stallion. These thing shappen in racin ggames unfortunately. Been having a fwe similar issues myself while playing a bit of m yF1 2017 career recently

Akash: Path of the Five
I want to do Ignatius' route again, but not flirt with the Human Guy so I can see how he gets us out of the Dungeon.
I want to confess first to Sirocco as well, to see what he looks like when I do. Especially if I treat him mean first 😁And I wanted playboy Sirocco to propose, but I think the game decides if the boy toy proposes based off a question earlier in the game rather than their personality. So I'll have to replay him just for that 😜
And Rowan 🤦♀️ they are not letting up on the Dumb button in his case, although he has some humor on him I didn't realize he had. I'm about 2/3s through and haven't seen anything particularly amazing about him.
I keep friend zoning Lux, and feel like I'll do him last. As like, a reward for watching me go with everyone else before him. 😛

Akash: Path of the Five Finished Rowan, and other than his epilogue story being more dramatic than I'd imagined it to be, I didn't learn to love him really. Even the MC seems to be like, "Aw, Rowan. You're such a dummy. Good thing you're hot" till the very end. And he's not actually that much hotter than the rest of them. Additionally, sometimes I rate a romance based on how much they seemed to like the MC before all this, and he was like... I didnt actually think you should even be in class with the rest of the men. And I didn't like you romantically like this until I spent more time for you. So his unrequited love is 0, and I guess his comments when you choose someone else is mostly just envy at someone finding a partner and not any jealousy. So I moved on to Caspian, the water elemental who is voiced by Youtube nerd celeb, ProZD. And that was honestly a problem. I'd say about 30% of the time, I was imagining an overweight asian man in silly costumes as reading the lines. Now. To Caspian himself. They actually give a reason for why he was so much of a jerk. I even found it sweet and honorable. But there is just no narrative support for why she'd like this dude enough to get to the tipping point where he finally confesses, there just really isnt anything there. He is logically rude and prone to violence. Then the tipping point is reached, he relaxes, and I can actually see them being an item- you know, if hed sort of been that way all along. He is possessive to the point of embarrassing me/MC by opening the door while she's still naked so he can show off to her childhood friend that they have had sex. To make sure the childhood friend knows she is no longer "ävailable". Judging from the sex scene, I have to assume this was the touch of Dominant Man BDSM that seems popular in romantic visual novels. I dont mind that he was all Grr during the sex scene (although they painted him as a capable lover in spite of the fact of the narrative painting everyone as literal virgins outside of Rocco, who has had sex with human women.) I mind that he would do that at all. In reality, Id have been like, wow. instant regret I slept with you. Bye. But of course, by now we're locked in, so I just pick the option to yell at him about not being an object and carry on with the rest of the story. Making peace with the humans is the obvious route to a happy ending, so I opted to try the ättack the humans!" option this time just to see what happens. It kind of auto ends with a couple of un narrated paragraphs of a bare minimum "happy ending." which seems cheap. It could be honestly argued that retaliation against the humans is a reasonable action their nation could make. Don't make it an option and then not bother to flesh it out. :/ I guess it's time to put Lux out of his misery. I have greatly appreciated his patience, and he deserves a bit of smooching. Even if it's all his own fault for never making a move.

Finished Hearts of Stone - yay! - and now ready to start Blood & Wine
I went back to the wedding party to do the one thing I missed (barn loft, sitting on the pillows) to get that achievement, then got another one I needed by fighting all of Iris' fears at once (pretty easy on easy mode). Outsmarted Master Mirror to save Olgierd. Had to do it twice because the first time I died, not by losing the game but by falling into a hole. Hello, Valeska's Watch all over again (still not as embarrassing as dying in a campfire in W2). This actually worked out better for me since I found the Viper sword the second time.
The rest of the achievements I don't have are combat ones, except for all Places of Power at once. I'm not sure I have the patience (or coordination) to do those but we'll see.

I finished main story of Pokemon Sw&Sh The Crown Tundra DLC. I'm still looking for side stuff I might have overlooked, but overall I like it more than first DLC - especially new area. But I wasn't surprised, I absolutely love snowy regions At one point I entered camp to heal my Pokemon and after finishing curry (which heals them), I saw this. I had no choice but to quietly leave the camp. No way I was waking my doggo up. I also got Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. It's now on big (for Nintendo) sale (from $89.95 to $14.49) and since it's been on my radar for quite a while, I decided to pick it up while it's on sale.

So I've been bitten by the Sims bug again, tried doing some Sims 4...I've bought two game-packs on discount (Realm of Magic and Vampires) to make it a bit more fun But...I don't like it, like...at all...so pretty thankful I bought it on discount and not the full 20,- bucks they usually cost Build a nice house...then came putting on roofs, the roofs don't even fit on the building Then I was like...let's check out the gameplay, so had my witchy sim go to the magic realm to learn some magic...went up to one of the teachers and asked him to teach my sim npc: 'we first need to know each other before I teach you' me: ...why? my Sims 3 witches: ...HAH! *get to do magic from the get go*
So I decided in the end to start up Sims 3 again, and now I'm having fun again...
My favorite N-hood in that game has to be Moonlight Falls (the one that came with the Supernatural EP), mostly because it has some really fun and interesting sims walking around generally I tend to start out a family with two young adult sims...and go from there

Akash: Path of the Five So, Lux's route is full of some serious cheese. But it doesn't come off as empty as it did from Rowan, because you've been best friends for 12 years at this point. Lux has loved you from day 1, and whether it was with him or someone else, he wants you to be happy and safe. That sentiment rang sincere throughout. He is a bit repressed though- teasing him, flirting with him, was about as unfulfilling as it could be. He was so concerned about making you uncomfortable, or taking your sexual innuendo seriously enough to make your friendship awkward, that mostly he just shut down awkwardly. So taking a serious approach was almost always the right choice, and I'm a playful banter lover, so it wasn't my sugary jam, per se. But when he said, "I believe the Goddess put you in my life. I feel like we're soulmates, and feel like I would have loved you even if you'd ended up a man."
Oh boy. That bumped him up so hard in my esteem. Like, whoa. My love for you is so hardcore, it would transcend my natural sexual inclinations is just wow. Be still my fluttering heart. And there were some other super solid moments. His response to MC's desire to go after a hunch was also super spot on as well. His epilogue story was underwhelming though. I guess it's hard to peel back the layer of a man who had few layers to begin with; he cant lie, and he's super emotionally open and mature, so what big back story was there to reveal really? *drumroll* The rankings. - Ignatious, aka Nate. The playful banter- it was SO FUN TO TEASE AND FLIRT WITH HIM. And when you did things like yell at people, flip them off, and stuff your face with cake, he was there to join in. There was no "aw, that's not nice, you should be more polite" back talk and I loved that he wasnt there, judging my actions.
- Lux. His love confession just pushed my buttons, even if he was a bit too repressed to have fun with all the time.
- Rocco. It was a tough call to demote him to third place. The common route just has too many issues with him being a bit sleazy during a time when you are already feeling like the world is eying you up like sex having baby making candy. It al turns out all right in the end, but I gotta judge the common route just as much as the romantic branch route. His epilogue story was so illuminating as well, that I want to play him again and promise him marriage and babies, as well as confess to him my lurve before he does it first.
- Caspian: his common route actions did not leave much room for coming to like him a natural fashion. Up until the romance branch, it felt forced, like MC didnt even know why I was clicking on the Caspian options to have her think about them. AFTER the branch, he had some rough momemnts but also some really nice moments, but they kinda cancel each other out.
- Rowan: as problematic as Caspian was, at least I remembered what he did and said. Rowan is such a blank of bland, on top of his being way too dumb. His epilogue story was really nice though.
- Daniel: the DLC human I'm not going to bother with, because when I partial romanced him, I was so uninspired by his justification for liking MC I'm just bleh.
I spent 14.5 hours on the game so far, and have a few more things I want to see (I want to hear Rocco propose to me, yum) so let's say 15-17 hours will be spent before I squeezed everything out of it. So that gives me about $2/hour of entertainment, not counting having some pleasure in recounting my adventures here as well. There is a lot about this game I like. Some of the music was stuck in my head this morning when I woke up. I appreciate the effort it too to put some of these scenes into animated 3D clips, it's going to be rough going to the still shot art again after this. The art itself was pretty. The voice acting was WAY up there, even after 4 times of playing, I wasn't clicking through every scene just trying to get through it already ( because I read faster than I lsiten.) in fact, I would stop myself from reading and just look up to watch the character expression while listening. Total first game for me doing that (regarding visual novels).
Flaws. Saves were a bit rough, as it was a minute marker with a picture of common vs which romance route you were on. The mini games were unplayable, but you could skip them. That the narrated lines would be reused is a given to save money. But why the heck is the writing exactly the same regardless of it's lack of narration when MC is thinking to herself or doing things on her own. One of the other glowing reviews had written that once you played one route, you've pretty much played them all, because MC's actions and thoughts hardly deviated regardless of the romance option. Exceptions being Rocco and Caspian having very distinctly their own approach to doing something. There just could have been more nuances of the MC to express when it wouldn't have cost any more (since it's just lines on a screen). It's very obvious when one plays all five routes closely together.
Definite recommend regardless.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning. Destroyed the House of Sorrows by completing their questline. I must admit, I did not see this coming (the general pace of the game kind of dulls senses). The ironic part that the best course of action would be just to ignore them, like I did in the previous playthrough of the original game. I've also recovered (and read) Til's book collection. Seemed to be on pair with the Argonian Maid, but without overarching storyline. Screenshots:

Started Persona 4 yesterday since I was feeling frustrated with the other games I got going on, so decided to check it out for laughs and ended up having them along with a blast. Don't think I'm too far in the game, but yet some way in. Currently navigating a Steamy Bathhouse and being kinda skewered with a difficulty spike. Which I guess I had coming for me, since I had such an easy time with the dungeons that came before it. So a good chunk of this session was spent grinding and enjoying the combat music. Also enjoying this. Because her reaction to getting them was hilarious and I love it.

Started Blood & Wine....so far Geralt has: -Helped the knights deal with the bandits before heading south to Toussaint -Killed a barrel-wearing giant
-Started investigating murder #3
-Won the first Skellige deck gwent card, and learned about a tourney in town from a note on the back of it (I've played every match so far using Northern Realms; will be strange to use the Skellige deck in this tourney)
-Killed a bruxa who was taking a strange interest in the body of victim #3, and an extra hand that came with the corpse; took the hand as "evidence to look at later" (I really don't want to know where/how exactly Geralt is storing this hand in the meantime; then again, given my inventory, Roach needs a 3-segment wagon behind her to hold it all)
-Defeated (but didn't kill) a shaalmaar that beat the crap out of Guillaume the wanna-be knight; couldn't keep Palmerin from face-planting
-Met with the Duchess (finally!) and her guard captain Damien (first time I played this I thought for sure Damien was going to end up a bad guy; was nice to have that not be the case) to find out more on the first two murders
-Raced off with Anna Henrietta to try to stop murder #4 after deducing who the likely target would be
And, then it was dinner time, and baseball time, and soon to be bed time, so likely won't pick up again until next weekend.

In Madden:
Not much to report but a hilarious story did happen. Well a couple of things that has never happened before and been rare occurrences. First I got flagged for an illegal forward pass which, I wasn't exactly sure was even possible in Madden. And then the craziest play ever happened. Brady was picked, which was as always quite annoying, but this time the defender had to run right up the gut of the field. Where one of my offensive linemen just completely leveled him which caused him to fumble...which Edelman scooped up and ran the other way, all the way for a touchdown. Bad news though, Gronk dislocated his shoulder and is now out for the rest of the year though I did get Andrews and Shaq Mason back though. I beat the Browns in the Divisional Round and the Chargers in the Championship. Brady has thrown 10 TDs in the last two games.

WFH, part 2. So I am back to playing visual novels. With the nearest holiday being Halloween, Monster Sweethearts seemed like a good choice. The general idea (dating sim with female LIs, but also monsters) was great, the execution was less great. Numerous misspellings successfully ruined the immersion. And the PC was completely predetermined. There were 2 action (QTE) sequences and 1 dialogue with open answers, though I did fast-forward for the last 2.5 routes. The VN was fun, but world-building/lore were somehow lacking. Screenshots: The game includes the developer's commentary, which is rather nice. This is the PC. For some reason werewolves are just girls with wolf ears and these don't replace their human ears. I am quite sure that the word is "whether". My personal favorite - "good residence". No spellchecker could have made this.

I should be fin et oaccess i tduring the evenings and if I jus tfocus on the SP I shoul db efine. I recentl yfound a youtuber going throug hthe ME games fo rth efirs ttime an dhaving fun with it. I might watch hers whil emy bathroom's being done as she's part way through ME2 now. I haven' twatched too much o fhe rvids yet but she seems to be enjoying it.

In Madden: Not much to report but a hilarious story did happen. Most sports games generally have all the rules in them s oit' ascertainl ypossible as I know Fifa has offside hand ball and things like that in it. As I've often got flagged for things like offside on it. Can get really annoying sometimes especially when you think you're through on goal and just have the keeper to beat. I have sevreal different career modes on Fifa on the go atm that I'm kind of alternating between lately.

To take a break from BG3 EA, I loaded up Stardew Valley. My old save from last year that was almost done.
I already started Winter and I just need 20 more days to get Grandpa's visit to tell me I was awesome and made a lots of money.
Except that Winter is quite boring. At least my fishes aren't dying, just asking for seashells.

Yup, liking this import now I've seen it under a few conditions. It's my Victoria Chase Shepard. I'm also really impressed with the ALOT textures, as well as the unofficial patch and up resolutioned videos. Who needs a remaster?
