What happened in your fanfic epilogue?
Certain events therein refer to another story. Unfortunately, I never finished "Masks and Mirrors", but its first two chapters are also online.

Mass Effect 2 Really enjoying Miranda and Shepard as a 2/1 Renegade/Paragon Infiltrator. They're both pretty ruthless and resourceful and loyal to a fault, but are complete opposites in every other respect. She's always so poised and categorical and focused like a laser, while he's brusque and casual and keeps prodding and probing at her just to see if there's a real woman in there somewhere. Makes me ant to play ME2 again and romance Miranda, only did that romance once but should have been more patriotic as an Aussie myself. Speaking of poking and prodding the thing that always stopped doing that romance is that they have the make out seen in engineering where Tali works. It always kind of pissed me of TBH, what was wrong with Shepards bed or Mirandas desk.

Absolute Alchemical Potion
Good: The love interests aren't total tropes. The Sprites are cute. The protaganist is skilled and proud of herself. I like that there is a tracker for PC expression that gets you different epilogues.
Not as good: I wish we learned more about the world than we did. Playing it 4 times only took 6 hours. I dislike feeling guilty about how the problems of the love interests aren't solved unless you romance them. the CGs varied in quality, from quite nice to "someone did fan art of this game".
Rankings: Gestalt > Glem >>>> Sitri
Gestalt because he's a full being- you used to date, but you've both spent time apart and had some big changes in your life that brought you together. I find it super sweet that when he was most lost, he fled to you.
I like submissive shy guys by default, and so Glem's devotion was pleasing.
Sitri is half demon and has temper control problems. I understand why he would be brought to the point of strangling the PC but that person shouldn't be a romance option, because being strangled shouldn't be acceptable* in any romance literature.
*Exceptions made for BDSM romantic literature where consent has been discussed.

So bunch more Persona 4. Think I'm getting to the end game stuff but the game just keeps on going. And longer version of that in spoilers. Welp turns out I also had generous time for that boss. Ah well, it made things more fun to try and do it fast I guess.
Did reach an ending I'm quite happy with, but apparently murder is wrong and it's a bad ending. Tsk. I liked it though. But since I had access to the normal ending I decided to go for it.
Was not a big fan of what happened next. Also not a fan that you can't use Go-Home to save just before the final boss. So you need to trek through two floors before facing him. Wasting precious sp.
So fine, let's just go into it, get a feel of the battle while it rips us to shreds. Before the battle starts Rise pipes up with "This is the final fight! Don't hold back!" So let loose with my already drained item supplies. Boss is fairly easy. Sure they drain our supplies, but I'm not in tears or anything.
Then we win, they have their little spiel about life and stuff and then SUPRISE there's more. This is why I have hoarding issues Rise!
So figure this one will do me in, certainly. And yep they did, but did manage to get them down to 1/3 of their health, then the party got wiped. BUT WAIT. Rise comes through and revives the MC! And I screw it over by healing Kanji instead of Youske (who was next in line) and just like that we are super dead. Bleh.
But the end feels pretty close. So grind on the lower levels, learn to love Siegfried and his godly hands, buy a forest full of healing leaves and upgrade some weapons.
Then go back in, ready to rumble. And it ended up working out alright. Sleep well sweet boss.
So figure, this must be it. Get a nice cutscene, some chats, then some more scenes and then some more and It.Just.Keeps.Going. I though it was done. But no, there is a sleep over and supposedly a skiing trip later. Aaaaah.
Still, it's super cute and the scenes will probably fun as usual, so not that much complaining from me.

Ikit got a new ride.
To make matters even better I have a Banner that increases it's speed by a bit (18%) but more importantly lets me run through trees like nothing is there. It's bloody hilarious.

Stardew Valley Finally got a prismatic shard! The rarest item in the game. I just need 2 more now. Only 10 days left before the end of Winter year 2 and me officially "clearing" the game.

Long live the Queen
Well. There went 4 hours and I can't seem to avoid dying of something. I can't tell if this makes it good or bad based on difficulty. It's not like I want to win no matter what but I don't understand how some things effect others

Took my Nissan Silhouette Group-5 car for a spin against pretty brutal AI. And had a catastrophic accident. I hit a bump, air got underneath the car and lost all downforce, sending me flying through the air. To my defense, that car is brutal to control, when the turbo kicks in its hard to keep it in a straight line and it jumps and swings around like some untamed angry stallion. Heh, I just realized a similar accident happened in real life at the same circuit at the exact same spot. And it was a Nissan too! Shows how realistic that game is.

So in my current run of the Outer Worlds I've been playing a bit differently then before. Did some of the Board stuff early which was nice because you can get to the fancy city way faster. Also completed a quest for the Adjutant in a pretty cool way. She sends you to find an kill a lady map maker. I ended up finding and sharing information with another assassin that killed and replaced her old receptionist. Then we both confronted her, I managed to convince the other guy to hear her out and ended up getting her to pay us both off to just let her go. And then as soon as the other guy left I shot her in the face and got an extra 1k bits off her body and then reported the success into the Board for even more goodies lol.

Tittus Yeah figured it out from your post, since I'd seen he makes a call later in the game. But I figured it was just a phone call to give me a vital clue or a mission to make the charges stick. ...guess it something different because of how he turned out. Pretty much ignored him after the first link though, partly because I wasn't too interested and partly because Jesters give me bad vibes. So that will be something for the next run.
Did get to the ending and for laughs and giggles did look up the path to the true ending. And it let me confront the gas station person who kindly offered me yet another dungeon. Don't know if there is a cut off point or something after that, but since I'm planning on a another run I decided to just not and reloaded before getting the Shards of Truth or what ever it was called and just went home. Because darn this game is long. --- What done did. Persona 4. So finished my first run. It was pretty fun. And now onto the next one!

I just beat Retro City Rampage. Decent game. He should have developed his own game mechanics rather than making most stages a pastiche of past titles. The city and open world aspect is pretty impressive but there's not much point to side activities or exploration. I also bought Shakedown Hawaii which looks better in every way and recently dropped on Steam.

Ah....it's 2010 and Miranda and Shepard are my "one couple against the rest of the world" dream team. Then came ME3. As one review put it, ME3's ending even poisons the nostalgia. Now all that is left is a vague memory of how I used to feel about those two. Well, maybe a little more, but only because I wrote a fanfic epilogue set several hundred years after the events. Yup, they're lovely. The ending of ME3 didn't strike me nearly as hard as it did many others, so my nostalgia has luckily remained intact. And my current plan is for Shep to pseudo-cheat on Liara with Miranda, and then break up with her in the beginning of 3 and watch her die on the robot ninja freak's blade for maximum heartbreak and drama. So a happy ending wouldn't have been in the cards in any case. At least, that's the plan. I just landed on Illum to do Miranda's loyalty mission, collect Thane and Samara and do the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC. All while keeping an eye on the suicide mission guide and plotting how to give Jacob the most painful death possible, while hopefully getting rid of Zaeed, Kasumi and Legion as well while I'm at it, plus fifty percent of the crew. Get some names on that memorial wall in the third game. What happened in your fanfic epilogue? Same her tbh it's why I can still play ME3 just fine. Because I had a feeling goin gin to begin wit htha tShep would die in the end to save the galaxy so it wasn' t really a surprise to me to see it in the end

Hada few accident's a tthe Nurburgrin myself on the F1 games over the years. It's definitely a challenging track to drive. Though personally I prefer Hockenheim. Used to love the charge through the forest on that track befoer they changed it in 2002. I still like modern Hockenheim as it's still fairly quick just not as quick.

I absolutely *loved* old Hockenheim, just before they changed the track F1 hit some crazy speed there. I dislike how they butchered most of the old tracks today putting chicanes where they don't belong and creating ginormous concrete run off areas that confuse the entire layout basically turning it into a concrete carparks. Today's tracks are compared to their old layouts.

I used to love charging down the long straights. As for them being concrete car parks I think it's mostly for safety reasons why they were changed at least in F1 circles. Thankfully Hockenheim hasn't changed too much as it' s still fairly quick and there is still that curved straight leading into the hairpin whic his quiet a decent overtaking spot as I tend to make a lot of places going through tha tsection. Even had a few tasty battles with Schumacher going through there on the F1 2012 game.

Long Live the Queen
I used a walkthrough guide. Apparently you improve your accounting high enough to get access to magic. Max out your magic and you're pretty much allowed to do whatever you want from there with few if any consequences (so long as you avoid most risky events.) I got to the end with a few mistakes, and was crowned queen. It was underwhelming- I expected more intrigue regarding your potential suitors, a father that wasn't such a robot, and more plot in general? if they were going to keep this distant regarding emotional story, then they should have committed to a story that went beyond the coronation. Let the Queen I form go on to conquer other countries, marry and then murder her husband as politically convenient, bear children she will over control until they themselves attempt to murder her.
So. Eh.

Listening to some unrelated music pulled my mind back into the world of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, so I am revisiting that game. I simply love the mood and the neo-Renaissance style. Gameplay-wise its sequel has significant improvements, but that doesn't make up for the better worldbuilding and the better story.

Earthshine:
Pretty art, unique music. A story that tells rather than shows( which was occasionally tiresome). and exactly one choice at the very end. I spent one dollar for it and it took 57 minutes for me to read so it met my basic requirements for entertainment.
Paths Taken
Free. The one route I tried was cute, but no urge to try another. not enough story to chew. For example, I have no idea why the protaganist was friends with the crown prince. She seemed to lack a title yet could walk up to him whenever

Witches X Warlocks
Its not a stat raising sim, but you do have to do some time management skills. You have to have spells and enough potions. You can skip the potion making if you buy them, but there is only so much money without you working extra shifts. And if you work too many shifts, you won't have time to learn spells. All that said, I primarily made my own potions (occasionally buying some), and learned 12/15 spells and managed to "pass the exams". Then I got to choose out of the two folks I'd flirted with as to whom to celebrate with post Exam Passing Party.
The sprite art is nice, the music and background art is whatever, but it's partially voice acted. And you get three different voices to choose from- Girly, boy-y, and a cross of the two that sounded like a female voice actor pretending to be a boy like Ash Cathum from Pokemon. I went with that one, as -sounding like a girl- is not an option I would definitely choose. IF it'd been like "sound like Xena from Warrior Princess or the voice actress of female Hawke/Ciri" that would be different. (I'm 33, playing a character with the voice of a stereotypical 16 year old doesn't appeal)
I liked partially voice acted, it helped support the feelings they were going for. And the end scenes where the romance culminated were 100% voice acted, so I could swoon while looking at them. Which makes me realize-- fully voice acted by people who don't have annoying voices actually does make me look at the art way more and the words way less. I can see why people prefer them, its just too bad (for me) that most of the fully voice acted VNs arent in English.
As of right now, Zero is my favorite of the three options given in the free version. He has a kinda Fenris-mother hen vibe, and a feeling of maturity I appreciate as an older player.
I didn't pay for it, so I'm going to buy the DLC to support the creator and go after the last male-appearing character (I think he's referred to as non binary.)

A bit more Blood & Wine last night....
Explored the elfy ruins and found all the Wolf School schematics, then headed to the cursed woods/house looking for the spotted wight. Found a curse all right, and figured out how to undo it, leaving an old woman named Marlene in the wight's place. Geralt took her back to Corvo Bianco where BB could look after her and she could recover.
Interesting point....the renovation is still on-going so next morning workers were milling about in the house and outside. Even have scaffolding up around the place. I thought that was a nice touch. I never went back during the 3 day period before so this was the first time seeing them there working.
Went back to Regis to update him and find out what his research turned up. Next stop is going to be an old vampire prison called Tesham Mutna, because a critical ingredient is higher vampire blood, and not the normal kind.
