The Witcher 3
So a story in four parts today.
Emeyr var emyrys was up first. Tried playing nice. He insulted me. I told him I had no intention of bringing Ciri to him. Though it is a bit on the amusing side to wonder, I just might try it out, I think that is the only ending involving her I haven't done yet.
Then off to Kaer Morhen to deal with Yennefer's...issues. I think you can get dumped in the lake only if you slept with Triss but I was kinda hoping to get dumped into the lake again, because Geralt's 'ah she is mad' is hillarious. But alas, no lake dumping. The conversation with the Elf took on a similar tenor as the one with Emyr in a way. I was the perfect gentllemen...I think. Greeted her honorably in the mother tonuge and no real insults flared and then afterwards Yen was accusing me of acting like a bore...not about to appologize then.
The Final Trial with Lambert. Typically I like Lambert and even think I still do but man what a prick sometimes! My kind of prick I guess. Ahem. Anyways though up first on the issue meter was going to investigate the boy, now games can't account for all options but I could tell it was an illusion right off the bat but I resolved that Geralt would still want to investigate to make sure that a dangerous monster hadn't wandered too close to Kaer Morhen. Sure enough Foglets and we defeated them and Lambert was all 'you fool.' Wish I could tell him off so I did the best I could. Then he provokes the trolls, only to then run the other way, and wasn't about to give up my swords so killed them in the end...man trolls huh? Then his story about his father happened.
Eskel's mission was far more straight forward though. Just a simple monster hunt though it was a little funny how he mentioned how much we wounded the thing. Neat fighting with another Witcher at my side.
So pretty much get to it at last, the end game so to speak, gotta decide which armor I want to use, would appreciate advice. Cat, Wolven, Forgotten Wolven. Found the other notes to after a mis identified objective marker. So, yeah, gonna start looking into it for my final stats and looks for the final part of the game which I should be getting to any time now.

I cannot figure out the shield thing where you change what heraldry/logo is on it. I can get it to change but I cannot figure out how to get the shield back with the new logo on it the whole shield just disappears. You click on the left shield icon. You put your shield in the container. It will equip your shield so you can see the heraldry click the right facing arrow until you get the heraldry you want. Then click the left shield icon again. Your shield should still be equipped with the new heraldry. I also cannot figure out how to apply attributes like Dexterity etc. to armour if that is possible, . I explained how to do that in this post, down the bottom. bsn.boards.net/post/1568089/thread

Yeah I wantt ounlock a tleas t1 or 2 more beforeI crank things up but most of the heroes are at Level 4 now as ide from Wolvrein ewho I think is leve l3 and Scarlet Witch who's at level 1 so likel ywon' ttak etoo long t oge ta tleas t1 more t olevel 5. I suspec =t it'll either be Captain America or Captain Marvel really as I think they' re the 2 highest levelled ones atm. I'll admit I'm enjoying the way I'v got Spiderman specced thoug hwit hhi scards. He's been ver useful in thi splaythrough. Whic his jus tas wel as I'v eended up doing a lo tof missions wit h him and why he wa sfirs tacross the line to get his Legendary ability. I d okin dof like Captain Marvels Supernova s oI'm hoping it's her that's next. But I'll see how the gam eplays out rather than try to influence it too much as Captain America's shield charge is pretty cool as well. Yeah, I've been using Blade a lot on side missions and I found a deck for him that's really good. The hero I've used the most is Wolverine. Captain Marvel was great in the first act, but then I got Wolverine who I mentioned before in act 2. All the heroes are pretty good even the one I did not know about like Magik, Nico, and Robbie as Ghostrider. Speaking of Ghostrider he is one of my top tier heroes. But I tell you the truth the game has been a challenge, but since Venom is no longer in the game the other Fallen like Crossbones, Sabretooth, and Hulk have all been pushovers. Also I've gotten better on not letting myself get swarmed by enemies. This was a problem of mine early on and through early act 2. Oh, I don't normally check the Steam forum for this game but apparently the bug I had after finishing act 2 where I would sleep, and then the screen would go black for a long time, and the only way for me to get out was hold the esc key. Well it's a bug introduced with the latest patch. But so far it has only happened that one time. I tried reloading the save but the problem still happened. I think in th ecase of Spideymost of th eresources I've needed have com ein his missions and also I tend t ous ehim a lot in tha tfirs tAct already as most of the quests relatin to Venom require him to come along but yeah all th ehreoes hav esomething cool about them so I don' t really mind who tag salon gwit hm ein the game. Bu tyea hthe gam ecan b echallenging a ttimes but I think it's no tall abou tthe cards you need t ous eth eenvironment around you as well if you can Fo rexampl eif I have a Guardian guarding a Nest Mother I sometimes jus tuse enough cards to tak eout hi shield and then shove or throw the Guardian int othe Nest Mothe rdoin gdamage t oboth and stuff like that and if I'm lacking an yquick cards in m ydeck then I'll use th eexplosives an dleylines on the map t otak eou tthe minions an dstuff like that. It largel ydepends on how muc hheroism you need for your cards and such though becaus edifferen tcards have different amounts but if you have any spare after your card plays it can b euseful t ouse them on the environment. Generally the best method I'v found of dealing with big numbers is try t otak eout as many as you can wit heach play. Minions aer a good way of chargin gheroism thou hbecause as soon as you hit them boom they're dead which is why I always use quick cards o nthem because it's a useful wa yo fchargin gheroism up then assuming I hav eenough I ca nclea rthe rest using abilities like Bladestorm or one of the other heroes legendar ypowers or something. I tcan be tricky to know exactl ywhatto do though a sit reall ydepends on the cards and the map but that's the general idea I think. I hav been unluck ythoug ha little bi ton this plaqythrough as I've been in a position wher the Nes tmothe rtied down a couple of my squad and I didn' thav ean ycards for the on eremainin gcharacter and it's forced me to restart the mission but still it's part of the challenge. But then it's on eof the reasons why w ehave thos eitems too like select a hero draw 2 of their cards but unfortunatel yI didn't have that item with me. It is what it is though I guess. Addendum:Forgot to mentoin this earler bu tAct 2 ends at the point where Fallen Hulk gets his hands on the Parchment and Johhny Blaze and Sabretooth die then so if you've passed that then yes you're onto Act 3.

I started playthrough of Fire Emblem Engage the day it came out... and I really can't get into it. So I'm mixing my FE: Engage with another pt of Persona 5 Royal (this time on Switch), in hopes that dividing my playtime between these two games will actually make me enjoy the first one more. For now it's not working, but I really don't want to give up on FE game just yet

Thanks I will re read the post, I thought I had copied all that to a word doc, but obviously missed that post. In terms of the resources like Silverite, Volcanic Aurum etc. I assume I have to have those in my inventory? I have bought some and found some but not very much is there a way to get them rather than farming shops?

Right so it was actually Alistair's shield I was trying to change, I had unequipped it and put it in the inventory but I had dual weapons equipped so it would have had nowhere to put it back. If you have dual weapons enabled, it will remove your off hand weapon and equip the shield, UNLESS you don't meet the strength requirement to equip the shield. In which case you can still toggle through the heraldry and choose by the name without seeing it. Or you can go into the override mode first and in the "Special" category, add "needs no requirements" to the shield, so you can equip it. In terms of the resources like Silverite, Volcanic Aurum etc. I assume I have to have those in my inventory? I have bought some and found some but not very much is there a way to get them rather than farming shops? No, with Override Mode enabled you don't need any resources for anything. And you can apply any enchantment that's in the game, to any item. You can't choose Volcanic Aurum in the Origins part of the game, it is only available in Awakening, and some DLC's.

Mmmmm that's weird as I have enough strength, I must have been doing something else wrong. Thanks for your patience and help, I am about to do the final battle in Origins so will mess about with it in Awakenings, I assume the enchanter appears in Wardens Keep?

So cleaned up what I could in Denerim etc. some stuff is just going to have to stay incomplete. Weidly a couple of Mage quests are saying incomplete but have been done??? Did the Landsmeet, defeated Loghain, elected to make him a Grey Warden, Alistair got hysterical and left, agreed again to marry Anora and for some reason leliana thought I was breaking up with her? Morrigan was all fine with it, "Lets see how things play out". Loghain survived the joining, stupidly I forgot to get all the good stuff of Alistair earlier but fortunately through experimenting at the forge I had other stuff to give Loghain. Morrigan and William created an Old God Baby, then off to fight the Darkspawn, got led astray to Redcliffe, killed LOTS of Darkspawn, headed back to Denerim, killed LOTS of Darkspawn, Riordan went for a ride on a Dragon and fell off, William killed LOTS more Darkspawn and Wynne and co defended the gate. Next into the Palace. Pic's Killed slavers Killed Gaxkang Loghain spent the whole fight on his back so wasn't much of a fight Anora did what Anora does, makes speeches and bat's her blue eyes whilst gesticulating emotively Alistair does what Alistair does, has a whinge and runs away I felt SO bad. Loghain is such an upgrade in combat though that's for sure. Time to make a baby, lets call him Kieran, would have been funny if it was called Alistair. Anora rally's the troops Riordan flying high

I assume the enchanter appears in Wardens Keep? If by the enchanter, you mean the Dalish Elf, then no. If you start Awakening with those settings I gave you in your dragonage.ini, then only the anvil and the configuration barrel will be at the keep. But you don't need those as you can do everything from your Forgesmith Tool. Which if it isn't in your inventory when you first start Awakening, save and reload and it will be. Also if you start a new Origins game with those settings, the Elf won't be in camp and nor will there be any Winter Forge related crafting supples in the stores.

So I ended up doing more things in GW2 instead of dabbling in SWTOR. My Norn ranger has now collected every available pets, including all those from expansions. This include the Electric Wyvern which requires a working Dragon's Stand that succeeded (it was a very lucrative one I might add). There are 3 missing in the list technically, but those are higher rank appearance rewards from The Hall of Monument which I never completed in GW1 because " super grind!!!". I don't know what I'm going to do tomorrow, maybe I'll watch something instead of playing video games, but after that Hogwarts awaits!

Company of Heroes
Placement of troops is clunky and stupid at times.
I could direct a squad to cover, trying to get all of them behind but inevitably one or two stick out or end up on the other side. Instead of behind cover, they're standing in clear line of sight of the enemy who of course, killed them. It's not possible to individually position the odd man standing out. Control is the entire squad.
For the defense of Carentan, squads would pop out behind cover, run to the bridge to shoot at enemies coming in. omg, it's so frustrating because there are three defense points. I had to go from point to point every several seconds to see what they're doing and grabbed the idiots back to cover. There's no command to tell them to stay behind cover, STAY there and shoot.
Another bad is there is no key to home in on HQ that is churning out the troops, etc. I had to waste time panning around, trying to find the HQ.
Another annoying feature is the inability to deconstruct sandbags or barbwire that were put up. The only way to get rid of them is to shoot them or throw grenades or something. If there're tanks, get them to roll over it.
Other than all these annoyances, gameplay is fun. At times when there is nothing annoying going on.

Been playing Caligula Effect Overdose. Not done with Persona just not ready/ got some cutscene envy seeing the FES gameplay. Got spoiled by Persona's "retry from last floor" and got lazy with saving. Which bit me the first session when lvl 117 decided to join a lvl 60 party and oh my that's an hour gone… But made me decide to skip the musicians route this time since I don't think gender changes anything, which cuts down a few dungeons. Also makes me lose out on Stork and Shonen Doll time, but makes seeing another variable easier I guess. Highlights have been seeing the male protag try to meditate away from the hot spring cutscene and got a chuckle that the guys implied that Ayane was planning to murder the protag when she asked to meet him on the roof. Or maybe that she would just yeet him off the roof. Hue hue hue. Instead she gave him a handkerchief so she could keep the one he let her borrow. The variable I was waiting for probably only happens in the musicians route. Which makes sense in hindsight because a certain scene needs certain drama. Oh well. Getting creeped by Eiji was….really uncomfortable, which is good but also nope. Cease and desist. Got the last enigmas and befriended the students I needed for the achivos, very much thanks to the internet. So that was neat. And with that wrapped up my second run. It was nice, even if I was kinda done with combat by the end. But story was still neat, liked the tunes and characters (-Eiji) were lovely. So instead of picking up my Persona run I started Caligula Effect 2. So far, so charming. Loving the first two companions. One of them likes trains. Nightmare was creepy but also kinda touching? Picked "fear of future-> wanting someone to tell me what to do" trauma because I relate to that. While I miss the "three attack" chains I love being able to see what moves my party will do if on auto. Also the overdrive move has her high-five her buddy at the end so that's neato. Love the protags face but the jacket model does not match the sprites coolness. Game is a lot more colorful so far, which is nice but sometimes a bit overbearing. UI is very pretty and sleek. Music so far is nifty. So far, so good.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

Finally, I managed to return to my JW Arizona (which might get a remake) and it was so cute adding things like cage decorations in there:

Marvel's Midnight Suns
Have not progressed in the story mainly been doing side missions and trying to max friendships. Did get the memento from Caretaker's room for Agatha's ritual.

Marvel's Midnight Suns Have not progressed in the story mainly been doing side missions and trying to max friendships. Did get the memento from Caretaker's room for Agatha's ritual. Ahh you'er at tha tpoint too. Thas tmeans yo uhave I think 3 or 4 main quests left. As Agatha's ritual takes plac eafte rth enex tmain quest as I did Agatha's ritual yesterday. My nex tone i spicking the Hulk up as I cleanse him of corruption as I've only got 2 left that an dthe finale. Hoping t ofinis htoday but will be doing a fwe missions afte rpickin Hulk up thoug hso I ca nlevel him up but other than that I'm pretty much done.I tsounds like you're at the point where you have to tak eout Crossbones nex twit hCaptain America. It's a tricky missoin because whils tyou hav t otak eou tCrossbones he has one of Faustus's bombs with him that you have to prevent exploding so you have to focus on that as well.. OK Wanda time for you to get badass.

Over in FFXIV So my most recent adventures have been of more technical nature. Up until now, I've been using TexTools as my tools of choice for applying visual mods, which has been reliable for me personaly, but lacking some functionality more recent tools have, as well as directly modifying game files. While Penumbra doesn't directly touch gamefile, as well as allowing things like choosing who things like character mods apply to. And there is another tool that links into it that allows others to see your modded look. So this weekend I spent roughly 6 hours migrating all my over. I did not expect it to take that long, but I had to learn how to use the tool, because while importing full modpacks is simple, doing so with collection of loose files that I used to apply freckles to my character is not so easy. But I did figure it out and migrated everything, as well as added some more which weren't really an option before. Specifically, muscles. After all, my character is a dark knight, wielding a sword as large as she is. Only makes sense she would have muscles, yes? Other than that, I stumbled my way into a Savage raid static group, and completed my first Savage raid fight ever. It was a couple patches late to this particular one, as they only just started running through Pandaemonium, but the plan is to progress to the most current fights. Funny story with that, because my joining this group was complete accident. Last week I was casually running my daily Expert roulette, when the red mage said that they need to get together their BiS to get better damage. So I conversationally say, Imagine have BiS /nonraider. And apparently I was doing well enough as the dungeon's tank that they extended me an invitation to join their group, because they just had an opening.
