HZD
Finished HZD and hit 79/79. 😄 That makes HZD the third game in which I garnered all achievements. The other two were Dishonored II and Batman The Telltale Series.

You don't like the QT taxes or your PC doesn't support 64 bits? For the credit cost, I did a test last night on my new Consular. Once I left the planet, I had made near 100k credits from quest rewards and selling enemies drops. I would have used the QT 4 times (return to main quest hub after finishing everything in an area). I looked at the cost before travelling back on foot/mount. The total cost would have been a bit under 4k total. The most expensive being the Forge back to the Temple at 2k. On Coruscant, I know I will make somewhere between 500k-700k there, while I will still use QT about 4-5 times again. I saw someone complaining The Works to Senate Tower was max cost (5k) on fleet, so ~25k in QT fee. The cost is going to be very negligible at max level. Conclusion: it's not even worth avoiding the QT taxes after the starter world and I made a bit more money walking back, because I had to kill more mobs. Well "had" because I wanted the XP. QT taxes. What's the purpose behind it? What other mundane game feature are they planning to tack a price tag to? I doubt the devs will stop at QT. New steady credit sink. SWTOR inflation reached new high level of stupid in the last 12 months (it was already bad before that) despite removing CQ credit rewards in 7.0 and the devs are adding ways to slow down the gain of credits so the inflation doesn't get even worst (aka every shit on the GTN selling for 100m+, it's getting there). The QT taxes they added isn't even high enough to make a dent by the way. They also changed the repair formula so combat degradation cost more but death less, but nobody is talking about that so it's probably not that visible of a change. Personally, I think they should have just purged credits until players are left with max 10m and made every cartel items none-tradeable. The inflation would disappear in an instant. *poof*

Hogwarts LegacySome weirdness in the Open World. Started off with a situation where...well Honor got kind of possessed and kept on vaulting over a divide which then plumeted to her death. Like three times. Don't know what that was about. Also there is this Merlin's trial in the middle of nowhere it seems. The gps system just stopped and there was this weird magical shield it seems which just prevented me from getting over there. Which is the other weird thing...why is that there is just some areas that you can't fly in. And to top it all off I got the final Demiguise statue for Professor Moon, already got the tier 2 locking spell keep in mind, go back to him, since this is a goal of mine right now, and then it says 'you have more to find'. I am very confused by this but then when the cutsceen finishes it now says 9/13. Da hell? So yeah not too happy by a lot of this. Though I don't know if people agree with my tactics but right now I have been thinking its easier to find the Demiguise's in the villages rather then Hogwarts itself. Seems to be working but right now may be running out of villages. Then to finish things off though did more stuff with the Room of Requirements. Still dubious about the gear system overall but realized it kind of is interesting with giving you infinite amounts of potential resources to get the traits applied to the gear and upgrade it. So yeah that does kind of solve the problem about having to worry about not having the resources to apply new traits to new gear as you get more gear. Still might be a little bit of a grind to do this.

So yeah that does kind of solve the problem about having to worry about not having the resources to apply new traits to new gear as you get more gear. Still might be a little bit of a grind to do this. I used a guide the second time doing the demiguise quest. The first time, I did it on my own. I raided the hamlets too - found quite a bit of demiguises there.
Hogwarts Legacy
I did the kidnapped child quest with Natty - that one is always heartbreaking, including the follow up quest, where people get bullied by Rockwoods gang. Then I did the Scriptoirum quest with Sebastian and Ominis. That is the quest, where Sebastian looses me (spoilers for the end of Sebastians storyline included):
I mean, it is made clear, you have to want to hurt people for the unforgivables to work - I would guess, that is, why they are unforgivable in the first place - they are only for hurting/killing people and you really have to want to do it. And Sebastian just casually uses Crucio on my character - and before that, he was gaslighting Ominis a lot - he doesn't deserve such a good friend. I mean, I was annoyed before, in the quest, where we found Isidoras home and letters and he bombards you with questions and then is mad at you, because he can't comprehend the concept of ancient magic. And from there on it goes downhill quickly.
I must say, I find it much easier to turn him in at the end than to forgive him. After that, I won two rounds of Summoners Court against Leander (I hate that guy, he is always complaining about everything and the others are always at fault, never he - I have a colleague, who is like that) and Samantha (much more pleasent).
That is, where I left for the night.

Farenheit remastered
Decided to replay this. I don't know if it's really remastered. 😄 Doesn't seem that much of a difference from what I remember of it.
The mechanics of moving the character around was annoying initially because he kept turning when I wanted him to go straight. Finally, I recalled that it's best to keep the forward key down and light tap on the other directional keys.
Camera angle is also atrocious and this caused the character to get caught on the corners of objects, causing them to treadmill. Otherwise, the game is fine.
AC Odyssey
I'm also playing this in tandem. Picked up where I left off. Kassandra has met Stentor and finished the quests he required. Then on to the Wolf of Sparta. I've never seen the point of killing him so he left as usual. Kass's next quest is to find her mom.
I'm not sure I want to get all the achievements for this title, much as I love the combat, as they seem troublesome. I've already scored 83/93, there're only 10 left. One of them is to get all underwater objectives. I could have sworn I dove in every marked ocean spot so I don't understand why I didn't get this one. Would have to look it up.
Another is to perform a overpower attack with every weapon, kill the Makedonian Lion (no idea about this animal), etc.
😤 I may try to get the remaining 10. It's only 10, not 30. bleh.

GW2April's Fool is on. That means SAB (Super Adventure Box, aka retro 3D gaming inside a game) is back for a few weeks and this year the Lion's Arc special is....Fashion Wars! The dev created a fashion show system for players. And my character, I'm now ready to start the mission I hates the most, especially on a melee-centric class like Reaper. SWTORI finished Coruscant on my new Consular and I went to get Amity (the new companion from the Galatic Season). I was high enough level, actually since he's at the entrance of Alderaan spaceport, I feel like the text saying you need level 24 is overblown. You won't fight anything to get him properly. His Selonian's sound bits is slightly annoying in combat (I feel these new GS companions bark too much in combat actually), but I really likes him with a force user, even if he says his group mostly helps out non-force users. I'm his bodyguard now apparently. He also seems to be less crazy than Qyzen during combat, which is a plus. Qyzen tends to go fight the farther enemies possible despite being on healer mode and his healing ability having limited range. Amity has stayed by my character side so far and barely try to hack things.

Hogwarts Legacy
Spent a lot of time just running around trying to get Demiguise statues. This time focussed on Hogwarts and Hogsmeade for this evening and well I got them all. It must be said that after the day I had there is something to be said about there being 'busy work' in Open World RPGs that you can just do. Little chores that don't take a lot of brain power and you can just relax.
In the process though I did discover a couple of interesting things here and there. Some of the Dragon Sconces that give you field guide pages are actually half way up the walls in some places. One of them even required me to use accio to get to. Kind of impressed at all the stuff that is interactable in this game, I knocked an owl out with basic cast, and while wife was not looking, bumped a cat with one. For science I swear. OH I almost forgot I actually also found Sirus Black's cell in the top tower of the Chamrs area. It had to be to because 'who knows what it will be used for in the future'. The detail! Also discovered some of the moth paintings in Hogsmeade.
But yeah, got all the Alohamora stuff so I am off.
Also in the grand scheme of things I can actually see why this game could take so long. Spent 32 hours on it...well no 33...and while the story stands at 62% done the Field Guide is still less then 40. Of course probably won't 100% it but now I see why it could take people 100 hours plus to complete.

Yeah that's one of the reasons why I'm thinking of addin ghte gam eto my comfort collection as it's one of thos egames that's easy to relax while playing. Onl ythin gawkward abou tthe game ae rsom eof the puzzles tbh. As I d ofind the comba tpretty easy as outside of the trolls and spider's it feels pretty straightforward. Especially once you get your plants and potions. Becaus ethe comba tin general is no moe rdifficul tthan sa yMsas Effect's or Dragon Age's really. Only thing tha tmakes it maybe a tad tricfky is like Andromeda you have to fire off your spells on the fly but I think those of us who are used to MEA's combat know how to handle that so I don't consider it too bad.

Farenheit
The chapters went by quickly. The obstacle in this game is the sync key pressing events. I managed to get all the sequence right when Tiffiny, Lukas's previous GF, dropped in to pick up her stuff and asked him to play his guitar. What happened, happened. Lukas woke up in the middle of the night but I chose not to investigate the open bedroom door. I had him go back to sleep instead. Probably missed out some scary stuff.
AC Odyssey I have the Power! 😂 I simply change weapon when I hit a bandit camp and used Overpower. Hit the achievement easily. I can't say I like the daggers. The animation is great but it takes far longer to kill a target with daggers than with a sword.
I tried to get the chain assassination with the Sword of the Lion. The requirement is to use this particular sword as it has the CA buff. To get the achievement, I have to make four kills in succession. That meant four mobs must be in range of one another. Hitting the forts or a bandit camp is ideal.
I didn't make any headway after a couple of attempts because a wall or a tent was in the way. The chain must be in a smooth sequence, with no breaks. I hit a Spartan fort and realised I wasn't going to succeed either because it was night and some of the soldiers were sleeping. There were many walls and stairs too.
I would have to get the attention of a group so I set about it. Not difficult really. Getting their attention meant I would not be able to use the ability. It's supposed to be assassination after all. I led them to a selected open area, got out of their LOS then hit the first target with the skill and within seconds all four were down. Second achievement attained.
Next in line is Rain of Arrows, Parry to Carry and Surgical Sniper. Child of Poseidon will take the exploration of the entire ocean so it'll be the last to finish.

I've been replaying Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order ahead of Survivor's release. Unlocked the key cosmetic Traveled to Kashyyk (whatever) to meet with the Wookiee chief Tarful The first part of the journey up the Origin Tree is creepy I really, really hate the plants that creep towards you... Helped out the Shyyo bird And it gave a me a lift by way of thanks Dealt with the Ninth Sister Which was much easier than I remember it being... Then returned to Bogano to use the double jump to access new areas and try to clear that map. I love the giant dragon dog.

Farenheit The chapters went by quickly. Has this had a remaster? Or are you playing the OG version? Edit - never mind - saw your post above

SWTORRushed through Coruscant the other day, and arrived at Taris as well With the pace I'm going at I might be able to do one planet per day, which should get me back up to speed concerning my YouTube playthrough in a week or two

Hogwarts LegacyBest way to deal with the Vietnam effect and a crappy day at work? Just wade through the enemy bases like a frickin Hurricane casting spells with a torent of want flicks as fast I can press the buttons. More then a little theropeutic. Also discovered that apparently you can use Petrificus Totalis on Trolls. Which is interesting. It was kind of a dick move by the game though an Ancient Magic Hotspot with one of the fonts was placed right in a troll layer...not with one troll...but two of them. And the Petrificus Totalis didn't actually do too much damage. Though I think with the right potions, the right traits, and everything, yeah I really haven't been optomizing my build so far. Something to keep in mind. Though I also discovered that Mandrakes can work on them to. In The Shadow of the EstateYou know I literally just thought I think this quest begins to tie the old past stuff into the modern day that I was curious about.
So went off to meet Anne with Sebastian and that was a little tough to watch. Not exactly sure what was going on or the implications there of but... found it hard not to be sympathetic to Seb's case. Which is kind of what I was thinking Honor would say anyways to because I don't think she would be the type of person to be uncaring. So more RP I guess, interesting. Though I also did point out to Seb that his uncle was just trying to do what he thought was right to. But yes, despite things I am more or less on Seb's side in this whole thing, one of the options I chose and one of the maxims of my life I got from Andromeda (the show) and Lord of the Rings, there there is life there is hope. There is nothing wrong with looking for a cure and giving someone hope...though more on that for a minute.
So after meeting with Anne just went with Sebastian to investigate the site where it happened. And it was a neat little moment visiting the area we saw in the Pensieve and dealing with that. I figured it out long before Honor did, but it was still neat. Also saw more of Morganach's notes...
Which then leads to some of the themes which is starting to develop. As I suspected there is a definite theme of 'too much help' or pushing things too far. And there is a definite theme of connecting Seb with Morganach. Which I also recognized his uncle from some of the vids I have seen. But yeah this is something I am a little torn on because A. I accept the basic premise that this kind of stuff can drive you mad or ultimatley do more harm to the person then not but B. As I said I can't help but feel sympathetic to Sebastian's desire to help.

Yeah I quiet often used the Mandrakes to stun ht etrolls on order t oge ta fwe shots in. Read this at you rown risk Colfoley as it could get spoilery but I will put spoiler tags on just in case Yeah my Lucy wanted to help him and Anne out and tried to every way she could without giving in to learning the unforgiveable curses as she knew that was forbidden an dcould end up with her getting expelled fo rit. She recognised hope for a potential cure was a good thing so understood what Seb was trying to do so didn't discourage him as part of her was kind of hoping he might find a way to help his sister as she thought it was good he wanted t ohelp her. But she also knew combinning dark magic with more dark magic wasn't going to work either 2 wrongs do not necessarily make a right and all that. She tried to warn Seb against such magic too becaus eshe knew it would be bad with the potential to backfire not just on Anne but on the 2 of them too and maybe make the situation worse.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

Finished Star Control:Origins last night. The ending came up rather quickly after reaching a certain point. Kinda thought there'd be more to it. There is a DLC add-on I plan to get next time it's on sale. I only explored maybe a quarter of the star systems on the map, maybe not even that many.

Been playing Forspoken an dyea hI can see why some are havin gissues wit hit. Personally I a menjoying it. Granted it's not a grea tgame an dwon' tb ewinning an yGOTY awards but it is an OK game. I d okind of feel a little sorry for the devs though considering what's happened because on the surface when it was first revealed it looked a promising game. Currentl yin Chapter 5 as I've just got in Tanta Sila's castle so my guess is I'm going to be fighting her soon. It's jus ta game tha tlargel yhas been given the MEA treatment. I think most around here can guess as to what I mean by that.

SWTOR
My Consular is done with Taris. Thankfully, I'm so sick of killing Rakgouls, it's 90% of the the consular enemies down on that planet...and they don't have much money on their them either. I make more killing stuff on Coruscant than on Taris...
After that, I finished Amity's first quest. Even if you go to higher planets, you go to safe spots and the enemies are at your level. So that's done.
I also changed my crew skills. I had a plan, well the same plan as on my smuggler, but then I thought if I keep the smuggler I'm just doubling down. So she's back to biochem and once she's maxed I can delete another consular I never finished (not that I use biochem production that often).

Bold of you to assume I have any experience with not having to redo entire sections because of persistent and embarrassing rates of death. Well, if you play on the easiest setting (and don’t die much) I would have thought about the 30 hour mark…. It really is hard to judge, though. Even if combat is a foregone conclusion, you’ll still have to figure out the holo map and contend with the Ice Slides of Death. I am in my 2nd run and making quick progress (because I have experience with the combat and can remember a lot of the paths through the areas). I am at around 65 hours total, and started this run at about 56 hours. So yes, 56 hours for the first run, buuuuuuut….I stubbornly stuck with a higher combat difficulty level than I was really suited for. I died a lot. It’s a good game, though. And I am definitely going to grab Survivor in the first week of release (subject to no news of ‘unplayable on PC’ etc).
