Jedi Fallen Order So it is confirmed after last time, I have actually gotten used to and a lot more used to the holomap...at least in this section of Zeffo Was able to use it to find out where to go more often then not at least pointing me in the right direction and eventually figured out some of the symbols for the map so I was able to figure out the puzzles I needed to do to move on. Biggest developments, got another upgrade for BD, Cal can now do a force pull...and in the least surprising plot development ever Trilla is actually Cere's apprentice. I mean I would like to think that I would see this coming even if I hadn't known after all this is Star Wars and they do this thing...almost as much as the whole SUper Weapon thing. Anyways though it is not really about the plot development thing and basic plot structure but how it is used and fits into the greater whole....so somewhat willing to see how this all goes in context. Though, for good or ill I am getting KOTOR vibes from...this whole game really...but also for good or ill its going to touch on the whole darkside corruption thing which has always been...bit hit and miss on SWs. Had a thought in the middle of the thing though that the combat in the game was fairly basic...but then I realized I was being a bit of an idiot and probably owing speicifically to me playing on the least difficulty...and even then there is plenty of strategy you do have to use to get ahead in the game in several different ways and plenty of bad guys. And for the second game in a row, I have pretty much figured out the whole blocking thing! Yes, easiest of the easy difficulty but still able to pull it off, more or less. Trouble is in this game I am now having at least some trouble dodging! But i may be getting the hang of it...sort of. From here though only had trouble with one basic puzzle. One of those things where you move plates of moss around and climb up to it. Had the thought of using force slow early on but sort of dismissed it but then realized after about ten minutes that was the solution so pressed the button and then slowed it enough for Cal to climb on board for the ride. And now the pulling stuff as well. And the save system...really the game's biggest problem. Like HZD bad. No auto save really, no way to manipulate it like in GR or Farcry 6... so you have to go to the meditation points to save which is a huge non starter.

No auto save really, no way to manipulate it like in GR or Farcry 6... so you have to go to the meditation points to save which is a huge non starter. Yea hthe save system is bad. I would say it's worse than HZD's mainly because in Horizon whilst yes you do have to find a save point there are plent yof them in HZD spread ovre the map and there's usuall yfrom wha tI remembe ra tleas twit hregarding the main quests a save poin tjus toutsid eeach of th emain ques tareas. It's one of the main reasons why I don't mind the system too muc ha tleas tin tha tgam eand wh it' sstil one of my favourite games. |Midnight Suns Finally got Storm on the team after completing her firs tmission. She's prett ybadass so far in this game I'll admit her skillse tseems to be as I suspected a mix of Wanda and Dr Strang estyle moves in tha tshe has her own vresion of winds o fWatoomb an dAOE abilities. She is probabl ymore like Scarlet Witch than Dr Strange though as her skills aer more attac kminded whereas Dr Strange is more defensive. Mus tadmit I really enjoy using evreyon ein this gam e. Only thing I' mregertting atm is waiting so long to recrui teveryon ewhen Icould have recruited Storm an dMorbiu sat the sam etim eas Deadpool as I' malmos tdon ewit hAct 2 and I'd have liked t ohave heard thei rreactions t othe losses o fAvengers tower o r the Sanctum Sanctorum and stuff like that. Still I'm thinking o fdoing another playthroug honce I'm don ewit hME3 asI'm thinking o fdoin gan extra playthroug hwhere I d orecruit Storm an dMorbius earlier as I noticed in a coupl eo fcutscenes they were in the Abbe yye tI hadn' trecruited them yet s ono tsure whether tha twas a bug or what so I think once thei rquests are available I should just get in and recruit them. So at leas twhen the yshow up there i tlooks lik ethey're already part of my team

I'm not a fan of this recent trend for games having limited or no save manual save slots, or no quick save (MEA). Just seems silly, and punishes players for no reason. In a linear game with really only 1 option for everything like JFO it isn't so terrible, but in a game with multiple paths forward it's a terrible design decision.

Jedi Survivor is the same as well though I think God of War Ragnarok allows manual saves. Horizon, no. It's bonfire saves but there are a lot of bonfires on the map.

My time at Sandrock We got Magnesium baby! And the realization that most of my tools need some other item! So that's fun. But got access to the mole cave so figure getting them should be easy. Ish.
Do find my interest waning a tiny bit, despite having a blast with the story. Been peaking at the main story quest list and I'm closing in on the end so feel like I should try and push on before moving on, but guess I'll see. Did spend some time in the character creator for a chuckle. Didn't get inspired to play more but had a lovely time none the less.
Also loaded up Baldur's Gate 3 because I wanted to see Alice for a bit. Trying to hype myself into modding the game for outfits since I figure it'll just be a glorified dress up game for me until it releases proper and what is a pretty face without a pretty outfit? Also I never get far enough into my saves for the cool armors so meh. But had a blast snarking with Ethel and meeting my favorite Gurr. Alas he would not give me his outfit. Granted it was also stained and stinky, but nothing that can't be covered up with a bit of dirt.

Yeah in HZD you d ousually find one close to most of your objectives in the game so I don't mind it too much in Horizon. The gam eis also pretty accessible too so isn't a hard game. Only time I find it an issue is when explorin the cauldrons really as ther are one or 2 longe rones but there is a pretty short one to so I guess it balances itself out a bit.Fo rme it's more the difficulty of th egames as a whol etha tmakes the JFO/Survivo rgames awkward as it feels a lot like they pulled everything except the wall running from Tomb Raider. Whilst I do think it does work ther I don't think I found the reboot's quite as hard as the Jed igames

BG 3
Decided to drop in on this to see what's new. I picked the bard class as I played barbarian when it was introduced months ago. Decided to play a human male. Gave him a nice short hairstyle and a short beard. He looks spiffy. 😄
There's a new console by Shadowheart's pod. PC can't open it of course. The chest nearby still has loot but a new item, a rune, to open Shadowheart's pod. Have to pass a dice roll to open the pod however.
Then off to the helm. Before, it's hell imps the party has to fight but now hell boars are added in. Nice. 😄 Fought to the helm and linked the tentacles.
Ooo, the cutscenes have improved greatly. The sequence is coming together very nicely and beautifully.
PC landed on the beach. Shadowheart isn't far from him. They made their way along the beach and came across Astarion. I chose to send him to the camp as I know Mr Wizard and Miss Gith will pop up soon.
When the game launches in August, it'll be a treat! 😄

GW2
I deleted my Revenant, a Norn, and remade her as Asura - they are just my favorite. I wanted to do teh Heart of Thorns storyline with my Sylvari Soulbeast Liya, but I was a bit lost and was too tired to try to find teh way, so I decided to play my little Revenant Lynna . Revenant is really nice to play imo. Lynna is level 17 now and did map stuff like hearts and events and is now in her storyline. I picked something, I hadn't before for her, college of stoic and VOED and have a new storyline now, which is nice.
This is Lynna
I have 5 Asura now and 2 Sylvari. I tried the other races, but they didn't hold my interest. Maybe one day.

When the game launches in August, it'll be a treat! 😄 I found Mr Astarion and Mr Wizard after I already cleared about half the map with my team of 4. Apparently I ran away from the crash site a bit too fast and didn't think of going back to explore it for quite a while. Then I went to clear some map fog and bam, Astarion. Took two steps to the left and bam, Wizard.

ACV
We come to it at last.
But first some epicness and running around. Asking refugees where the supplies are...then raiding the latest monastary on the way. Probably the easiest monastary to hit in the game so far. Bit of a fun advantage here though since this game I have been almost entirely hitting these things from the land and not the sea so the hut was like right there so was just able to sneak in there and get it.
Off to the quarry in question and finds this a bit odd that this is considered a distrust area...all things considered. But then this became the best action sequence of the game so far. I was just in such a zone with my hunter bow. Knocking people out from across the quarry, perfect draws, and then hitting people even when they were on the move. Just pretty good stuff.
Off to the sack of Wesberie which does leave me with a bad taste in my mouth. Eivor did go after and prick Ivarr a little bit telling him to go away basically and wondering if he was satisfied. Because this really was all his fault. Still went fishing with arrows this time and it didn't take as long as I was thinking it was going to take as long as it did...but still shooting with arrows... nice. Also found it intereting that what's his face wasn't a full on boss encounter. Huh.

My SI is now cleansed, the ritual of mind-healing worked. I also did a few other things and got the last companion (who is totally forgettable, poor Xalek). But double XP is over *sniff*. I didn't manage to hit level 80, I'm just 76.

Must admit looking forward to next week and the launch of Star Trek Resurgence. No tsure how long it is thoug hgiven it's just 16gb but I remembe rit's only like £30 or something so a modest price tag. Will probabl yhold back on playing until after my next Midnight Suns run though as I am keen to do a second playthrough already bu will do m ynex trun after I finish ME3 given I am at the tail end of that and haven't got much left to go there.

Read the spoiler at your own risk. Though it wasn't goblins that did it. It was Rookwood but then we don't find that out till the end of the game.

Sims 4
So...here's the thing, I have this female sim who's married and has a kid...and then suddenly some guy she'd hardly friends with calls her up and says "hey I really like you, let's go on a date!" However, said guy is also married...so yeah, drama...it's hilarious (I wonder how long I can keep it up until either his wife or my sim's husband finds out )

My time at Sandrock Well that went from a 0 to a 100 real quick. Loved every second of it btw. Even if I kinda panicked over the prospect of having to be clever. Cuz I'm not. Thankfully it worked out. Put a heart knot on Qi because he's so darn precious. If the mystery man hadn't left I'd probably have helped him in the wish of wanting to "Level up as a boyfriend", but figure it would probably be nice to wait until the next update if they have some extra romance stuff for him. Or any stuff. I'm not picky. Got a massive kick out of the relationship moving into the "Soulmates" level after saying to him "You had me at "cannon"". Mostly because I'm not playing Kelly as terribly smart, but she's very game for cooking up some space/robot stuff for him so that's where the chemistry comes from. Robots. But had such a blast playing. Really happy I powered through to the end because I almost stopped juuust before things got really, really good. Really itching to start another run but just know I'm not going to make it. But maybe a little toe dip?

So Kass headed back to the West of Messara to the coast and started doing quests headed East. Cleared a beautiful big temple, may have caused a bit of mess with the blood of several guards but got some good loot. Got to Pephka and stopped. Selfie Headed to a nearby village/town and sorted out some corruption and killed a cultist, it was also a mercenary hub and it became twon of the dead mercenary at least 4 but maybe 6. Dead Mercenary Pictures Then spent a lot of time sailing and clearing the rest of the map and setting up some more FT points clearing the occasional site: The Adrestia Lieutenants Charon and Athena Artemis Aya

Well after several restarts, my team finally made it out of Fort Joy, only to be attacked on the high seas. i.imgur.com/CsBzA3H.jpgI ended up settling for just Lohse and I, we skipped a few quests on the Nameless Isle, and are now inside the Academy. i.imgur.com/NRfadW7.jpg

Jus tcompleted all the Midnight Suns DLC must admit it was aprett ycool fina lmissoin t ofollow on from Storms 3 quests. Must admit I'm thinking I might spread them out a bit more on my next playthrough. As I'm thinkin gdo eac par tin each of th e 3 diffrent Midnight Suns acts as in the firs tpar tof eac hone in Act 1 th esecond in Act 2 and so on. Except fo rVenom's of course as I can't recruit Venom until Act 2 But certainly that's how I'm thinking of handling the other 3. The 4 DLC characters ae rreall ygood fun t opla ywit hthough and I'm enjoying using them in the main game too. Thou ghit kind of feels weird bu tweird in a good way having Venom on m ysid econsidering m yfirs tfwe playthroyugh's were all about me fighting him. I still had t ofight him in the firs tact but it's cool he's on my team as of Act 2 now.

Interesting. AC Odyssey had some screen time in a Polish detective series, Signs.
I would have thought the producers would have chosen The Witcher. 😄

ACVSo Ceolbert died at the hands of Ivarr though we didn't know it. Must say they did at least a somewhat descent job of not giving the game away. More if you are aware of the tropes involved with the whole him saying his name but...well... not a direct smoking gun. Told Ivarr he got the war he wanted. And some weirdness did indeed follow. Castle siege and the gimmick here was to light a cart with explosives on fire. But they didn't do a good job of explaining how exactly. Tried an explosive arrow, didn't work, tried to throw torches at it, didn't work and thought I kept missing so kept trying. You actually had to interact with the thing to do so. Which it was also funny because I actually climbed up all the way on top of the turret with the archers to take out the archers and then it was all like, blow up cart. Which then trying to open up the final door I fell off the castle to a chasm but lived. Then when Ivarr was letting me know about the whole taking Rodhri to a place I think it glitched out, so I reloaded. Also tried to put Rodhri out of his misery midway...which didn't work. The boss fight with Ivarr is pretty impressive without the ability for full cheesing. Man flopped around like a fish and did a few body slams. Felt like a good proper boss fight. Also deflected a lot of arrows. Used Chewy on a few occasionals, explosive shot, and Fate of the Nornir. But the best moment came towards the end when I was starting to run a little low on supplies, but so was he, I was able to knock him into an explosive arrow I missed with earlier. Chose again to not give him his axe but did tell Ubba about it. All things considered he wasn't too upset which I suppose isn't that unexpected...but it was off putting given the previous choices to hear Eivor celebrating at his funeral and essentially telling the gods to welcome him in Vahalla. *sigh*. Last but not least though decided to get busy with Randvi again and well they decided the war room would be good enough for their escapades so wifey comes in the room and said something to the effect of 'damn they're going to knock over Scripeshire after they just got it.' This romance is full of laughter.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

Ok, back to conducting side quests and that includes: discovering all fast travel points, collection the required number of Demiurge statues to trigger the end of that quest and some conversations with our co conspirator of the whole dragon debacle:
