Ghostwire Tokyo Gives me massive Cyberpunk 2077 vibes (which is good in my book, I really enjoyed that game as well). Granted it's probably mostly the area design, lots of Neon signs and stuff. Absolutely gorgeous. Any you got a little Johnny Silverhand with you, except he's not as much of a jerk and is actually helping you (well so far. He could be evil and I wouldn't blame him a bit). So far also had some really trippy areas. Like there is a bit where you are running through an apartment building and have to enter some of the apartments and they just go bonkers, the rooms are rotated, you have to crawl through tiny ventilation holes and platform on floating furniture, the corridors are being swallowed by black goo. Like a proper nightmare apartment. And it was just so freaking neat. Or that time when we visited a hoarder house and almost got claimed by the trash. That was fun. So far it hasn't been too spooky. Except for the scissor lady, she's spooky as heck and I do not like. Had a fun fight with her where we died at the same time but the respawn function favored me and I did not need to repeat the fight. But now I get so freaking antsy when cleansing the gates since she grabs you while your doing it and just no, this is supposed to be a safe act. It's been very unnerving but I (so far) feel like I've got a fighting chance so it's nice. Thankfully there aren't that many enemies either. Which makes the game feel a bit empty but I don't mind too much. Granted this could change and I'll have to chicken out. Been enjoying the demons so far. There are a bunch of sidequests where you have to deal with different ones. I'm familiar with some and having a blast learning about the others. And the merchants are Nekomatas, aka floating cats with two tails who speak in cat puns and I'm living for it. Game is also delightfully sassy in it's descriptions. Like the main char can wear armor on his hands but the selection for unarmored hands is "Akito's hands. He's had them ever since he was born." And I just love that. Also the description for a cursed VHS tape mentions that the curse can also reside in written things and the whole entry might in fact be cursed. Also enjoying the fact that my computer can (so far) handle the game. Which surprises me because the game is gorgeous and my computer is getting up there in age. Did try it on Playstation which was very pretty but aiming with Joysticks is really not my thing, so happy I can play with the mouse instead. So been enjoying myself more than I expected I would. Been mostly just clearing up the map, doing side quests and collecting souls and feeling slightly guilty over dragging my feet with the main quest but this is also important or something. Now just need to hope scissor lady stays out of my dreams tonight. Or at least that she'll be on her best behavior.

So to starting the story proper, Kass headed to Athens and to the Pnyx in particular to meet Herodotos and to get introduced to Perikles. After meeting Perikles on the promise of getting an invitation to his Symposium she set off to do 3 tasks for him but was waylaid by Kleon and given a task to cause chaos in the Spartan camps to the North. Kass rescued one of Perikles friends from some snakes and dealt with the snake dealer. Then broke in and out of a leaders house to steal some vote tokens to have another of Perikles friends exiled. Lastly she rescued Phidias and sailed him to an island to get him out of Athens. Back to Athens and Kass cleared the camps North of Athens with minimal fuss and returned to Kleon and was assigned another task. Kass then headed to Perikles Symposium where she had lots of fun singing and then partying with Alkibiades. Pic's Was nearby at one point so killed the Hind of Keryneia

Midnight Suns
In ac t3 now andstarting to push towards theend of the game again now. Managed to unlock Deadpools ultimate ability called Burning Sensation though I haven't used it in combat yet. I am thinking o fpushin gtowards theend now thoug hgiven I hav eunlocked quite a fwe of the ultimate cards now. No tall of them but most of the ones that I tend to use. Will finish off ME3 before I do another run though but I am hopin gtha tby recruiting Storm and Morbius earlier next time b ydoing par t1 of their DLC' s alongside Deadpool I'll have more time to level them up. I twas fun kickin gDracula's ass in the DLC's though s oI don' tmind. I'm hoping tha tby saving the 3rd part o feach DLC unti lI hit Act 3 will make those fina lpar ts easier as eac ho fthe fina lparts of those DLC's I've found to be tricky almost as if you need to be quite high levelled before taking them on. So my next run will be about testing that a bit and giving myself a better chance t oknow the DLC characters.

Well now there are buried chests to dig out. Same as Divinity Original Sins II. DOS II has a lizard race so if he's the PC or companion, he can dig out the chest. No shovel is needed.
However, as I'm playing a human male, he won't dig so I had to buy a shovel. Things is, there is already a free shovel stuck on top of a sand mound with an unburied chest nearby. I didn't discover it until I visited the Grove and bought the shovel. I gave it to a companion. A second shovel can come in handy if say, the party is separated for some reason and there's a chest to be unburied.
The songstress segment went off quickly since the PC is a bard. The song sounds a little better this time. There's definitely more polish in this EA version and it's noticeable. Dialogue animations are revised and better too.

ACVOff to start Cent. Which also means I was getting pecked at by Dag for not looking for Sigurd. I do not remember how long it took me to get to this point in my first playthrough...hmm. Nah pretty sure I probably did a lot of side stuff so yes, it does lose some of its bite since I am doing a lot more of an even keeled job of just beelining through the main quest. Though still going to collect wealth. And the game does force you to wait on Basim finding out the information before going to Cent so it does still work, just not *as* much. Like its only been two or three days this time I swear. Still though there is a lot of logical pitfalls in his argument here. He berates me for not going out looking for Sigurd...and then he berates me for not being on hand for the clan...then he says he is going to stay behind which is kind of fine without the atittude but keeping the other things in mind its like what, do you want me to stay or do you want you to go? Make up your mind. Still it works because this is the argument you can make when you have that much of a hate boner for someone. And also keep in mind Sigurd hasn't spent one day in Ravensthorpe since we left so Eivor is doing far more to stay in the settlement then he. Hmm, just realized that he didn't mention me...aggressively kissing...Sigurd's woman. Dissapointing. So yeah from there all I had the chance to do was the quest for the Dover Fort. Did take the time to clear out the gear and stuff from there and despite no blood shed desire from Eivor in game I ended up killing a lot of guys...mostly in stealth though. Including the courier. Again wish there was consequences for that, so far no. And realized I probably could've did a thorn of slumber on him which does make me wanna consider doing the different loadouts things.

I loaded up a very old Skyrim save from two computers ago. Took three steps and found myself in a dragon fight. My Imperial is rethinking this whole 'side with the Nords' thing.

Finally got back to playing last night. I did go back to the Zeus statue a couple days ago so Kass could note there were certain places she shouldn't be climbing... then just continued from there.
First up was heading for the ship Cyclops had used to take Barnabas' cargo and get it back for him. Managed to take out the ship after figuring out how to fire (not just aim) arrows and rammed it to bits.
Then went looking for an archer B claimed to know of. The clues provided did not help at all because the place I needed to go didn't meet any of the criteria listed. More on that later. First stop was Forgotten Island where I got stuck in an underwater cave for a while before finding the way out. Did find all the chests though. Then went to another island inhabited by pirates and killed them all.
Back to mainland Phokis for some sync locations. Picked up a bunch of quests/bounties off a notice board. Killed some Spartan soldiers who were not very aware their numbers were slowly decreasing. Found some leader's house - I guess he's one from the 'kill the leaders' bounty? Left that for later. Helped a couple of hetaerans(sp?) which mostly involved lots of running around. For one I needed to kill a couple of level 11 lions (I'm level 9) so that took a few tries. Finally killed one of them and then the second one seemed to disappear as the quest told me to head back to the quest-giver. I had the option to say things didn't go as planned, which I assume means the guy died? but I said he was safe thanks to me, which didn't sound all that truthful. But, I got paid and that's the important thing.
Scavenged several sea wrecks and fought off 2 pairs of sharks. I love how just wildly swinging the spear around in the water kills them - eventually. I apparently need several tons of resources to upgrade the ship in any way. So far I just added a lion head that I found somewhere.
So, back to finding the archer guy. I finally gave up looking for it myself so Googled where to go. The place is not an island on the map, just a peninsula, and it isn't south OF the Land of Apollo, but rather it's southern-most point. Also, no shipwreck nearby, which was the third clue. Left off there and will tackle that next time.

Well what was it a few weeks ago that I beat Stronghold 1. Well in that time since I have beaten Stronghold Crusader 1 and now just finished Stronghold 2. Stronghold 2 had some... evil missions -in terms of game play but I created maze walls to help with overbearing AI: Of all the games so far played Stronghold 1 is still my favorite.

With the sharks if you are patient you can shoot them from the deck of the Adrestia with your bow or when you are in the water if you are on the surface you can also shoot them with your bow. Not sure if I will be playing for a bit, One Drive asked me to do a back up and I said yes but instead of moving my documents it moved everything on my PC to One Drive. I didn't realise as I went out and came home to a completely altered Desktop and now I have turned the back up off (it refused to revert to the day before) nearly everything on my desktop has disappeared. What a nightmare.

Spent most of the day in Megaris. Cleared the area pretty well, did all the grunt work for Stentor. Kass did not mention that she was Wolf's daughter though gave some cryptic hints about it. How nice of the guy to replace his real kids with one who would do exactly what he wanted. Can't wait for the family reunion but that will have to wait for next time.
Didn't kill the folks who stole food but did go after the mercenary who helped them. Also didn't kill the leader of Megaris but recruited him for the ship instead. Hey, it still counts as removing him from office.
Met up with Odessa again and added her to the ship. I have way too many LT options and only 2 spots available. I finally did some ship upgrading thanks to looting several tons of wood. Took out my first fort and leader for the bounties (well, and the questline). Once I'm done here I'll probably head back to Phokis and clear that fort.
Met the blind Persian guy and told him all about the statue of Zeus.

I reinstalled Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines with the Clan Quest Mod. I am playing as a Tremere who plans to join the Sabbat. I want to see how the diablerie mechanic works and see if we get more powerful as we should according to lore. Also I installed the mod without the Companion, Camarilla, and Arsenal mods. Currently in Santa Monica and got beat down by Gimble. Went tp peacefully deal with the thugs at the beach house. Got the Astrolite for free and Mercurio's money back.

Putting Jedi Survivor to one side for a bit. Cal can mop up the rest of the Galaxy another day.
Back to Far Cry 6. Very different type of game for me. It's actually quite fun.
I've never played a Far Cry game before, so don't know if it is considered a 'good' FC game, but I'm having a blast. The story missions are interesting and varied, and the characters are the same.

Best of the three I've played though A. I feel like this opinion is probably out of the norm given that Far Cry 4 is considered so beloved by the fanbase, I think, but the gameplay just didn't jive with me at all and B. since Far Cry 5 felt like a thinly veiled MP game in a SP skin, iwth a lot of really weird story beats and gameplay decisions, that one hardly counts I feel. But yeah despite that Far Cry 6 was really great and does give me some hope for the franchise if they make another one. *** ACVBit of a comedy of errors, and a comedy of comedies. Though on the top level I did give the thorn of slumber another shot...kind of by neccessity more then anything but I did find it interesting that I was able to do the 'go to sleep' and then kill random mook trick. Just with a mook. Trying to sneak around and get 'Tedmund' and it didn't go too well, namely because I was also trying to get the ingot in the area as we... no it was gear. But yeah. Assassinated a first guy. But the second one kind of caught me and then that started a chain reaction where I had to fight a good amount of the village. Except this did include Tedmund so he bolted and took off and this led to a long standing foot chase which I didn't want to get my horse because I thought it would've been counter productive...but my patience gave out so I did eventually and did mount my horse and made him go to sleep with a thorn of slumber. One of my favorite moments of the game. First with Tedmund trying to fake out the guards 'and kill them...I mean leave them for Wolves and crows'. Plus got that conversation with Basim and I think the first time I did this I had already done the first few quests in the dream realm or something so I was a little bit clued in. Still, interesting conversation as he essentially called Odin a highly valued friend. Not sure I ever got that relationship. It is also kind of curious since the Loki character archetype has become such a fascinating one for me and its one that is a bit of a surprise, kind of, that it took me this long to get clued into it because I have always been fascinated by characters who exhibit 'gray morality'. Which does fit this archetype to a t because whether its Q or Solas you really don't know which way they are going to jump and they might be doing this to teach you a lesson or for some greater purpose as they navigate their way through this complex morality. I say this though because Basim as it stands in Vahalla right now presents as the most evil of the archetype that I probably know of...next to only Loki in the MCU mayyyyybbbbbbeeee. But while he is doing his thing he is also very much out to renact a vendetta that stretches back to when all of the participants weren't not only technically different people, but different species...and the new hosts for a bonus does not even remember it...yet. Now this is fine I still quite enjoy the Basim character and am kind of curious to see what they do with it in Mirage...and there is some evidence where he could get a bit more gray in the present timeline and sort of what he is going to do with the modern assassins. Next up on the list did the whole clearing of the river blockade and just charged in, thought I was alone, someone was there, saw me...but not a serious alarm was raised. So proceeded to slaughter everyone. And I did forget that the real Tedmund dies from being poisoned apparently.

Hello, here we are unlocking a great transmog uniform from the House of Ravenclaw after getting all the special disks from the Dandelion keys: Nice those robes are m yfavourite in the game. Granted the keys ae ra nuisanc etrying t ofind all 15/16 of them but I feel it's worth it. Especiall ya smost of them you can find jus tdoin g all the othe rquests so it's not too bad. Midnight Suns Hopefully should be finished with this playthrough today given my next main quest is save Hulk from Lillith and bring him round to our side. My Sylvari Soulbeast Liya finished Heart of Thorns and dealt with Mordremoth. I was glad, I had some guildies with me, that fight was the hardest, I encountered so far. There was some supposedly sad ending, which I didn't find that sad, because I didn't care for the characters, that didn't make it.
Liya started Living World Season 3 now and is jumping around some kind of asteroid thingy. A bit annoying tbh.
And I made a second ranger , an Asura this time. I'm currently collecting pets with her in the different starting areas. At the momentshe walks around with a giant spider named Arachne, a hommage to my favorite character from the Alex Verus books. I just love ranger and wanted to have a second one.

Far Cry 6 - the word the protagonist says a lot - yeah. Bought for PS5, seems to be not so good port after AC:V, some Vsync problems (whaaat!). Anyway, been enjoying this crazyness again. Its a Far Cry. I think I might be half way in but you never know about these games, they may end after waiting for 15 minutes

Its a Far Cry. I think I might be half way in but you never know about these games, they may end after waiting for 15 minutes There is some fuckery with the cutscenes. It seems to be pulling a DAI, where 4K RT/Ultra runs at 60, then the cutscenes drop to 30-ish (not that DAI had RT, just meaning 'maxed out'). Forgivable with DAI running on 5 platforms across 2 generations in the first game with a new engine. Not so much here. Anyway - it's a minor. I almost had one of those 'end of the game, now???' moments last night. We can assassinate Gus Fring! That can't be right. Have I accidentally started a mission that is too high level? Anyway, everything worked out - and it wasn't the end of the game - but it was a sudden handbrake turn after the story to that point.

My time at Sandrock Can’t walk away ♪ Played a bit of Kelly since she was 2 days from having been in Sandrock for a year and even if I missed the opportunity of calling the last post “My year in Sandrock” I still wanted to cross that milestone. Then played some of Rosa, who is supposed to be my builder who befriends the church people. And have gotten kinda attached to Mort with her too, which is very welcome. Was planning with hooking her up with Miguel but Burgess is such a cutie. Got a line from Pen that he could yeet the builder pretty far and yes ♥. Please. Yeet me off a cliff. Do want to romance him at some point because I have soft spot for braggards but not with Rosa. Ghostwire Tokyo So scissor lady did not visit me in my dreams but made a few appearances this session. First was very unwelcome since 1. I was in a spooky underground tunnel. 2. My powers were temporarily unavailable. 3. She’s spooky as heck. Thankfully the game was kind and I never needed to go near her but the snip snip sound was still just no. In the other appearance I had to fight her and had that satisfying feeling where you pretty much empty the clip in a scary foe face so they die before they have a chance to be scary. Was going to do a round two with the next but game said “Nope. This is a you’re stuck in a barrier with an evil scissor lady chasing you and you’ll just have to deal with her being immortal.” But had a bunch of stun talisman and stuff so, it wasn’t too bad. Round four and she was wearing red and I learned that I can quick kill enemies being affected by the stun talisman. Which was quite the relief since I kinda was running empty on spirit ammo and she was very spooky. Otherwise moved on with the main story. Which involved sneaking through the subway, hoofing it back and forth around the map for reasons, another fun apartment trip and lots and lots of cats. Got to hear the baddies reasonings and it left me more confused than ever. So that’s fun. But I’m enjoying the ride none the less. Figure the next session will be clearing the map up and having fun avoiding the main quest for a while.

AC Odyssey
So, there is A LOT to do in this game. I'm having flashbacks to Skyrim where a new quest popped up every time I turned around and I just got overwhelmed by it, not knowing what do next or even where to begin. This isn't quite that bad, since there is actually a main character with their own story to discover, but it would be nice if just once I could look at the map to see where I need to go and NOT have several new quest icons appear. This is what leads to me getting nothing done that I plan to and then forgetting what I was trying to do in the first place.
And there's so much backtracking! I cleared out a fort because it was there, and 2 hours later when I'm somewhere else I come across a new side quest that .... leads me back to the fort I just cleared out, that is no longer empty. So, what really was the point?
Storywise, did the Megaris battle and surprise! Sparta won. Got to talk to Nikolaos only to learn he's not Kass' real daddy dearest after all. OK, that was unexpected, sort of. Left him alive to go find himself and turned the helmet in to Elpenor aka Snake Guy. He of course sicced his goons on Kass and ran away in typical coward fashion. She tracked him down and killed him, then headed for the Oracle at Delphi to hopefully get some answers. Only more questions there, like who the hell is this Cult of Kosmos and what do they want with her and her mother? Oh, and she met Herodotus.
After the Megaris fight I finally made a solid attempt at merchant ship hunting. Since I didn't know what they looked like until I got one, I pretty much tore up anything that would float until I got the right boat ID'd. That was fun! I'm sure everyone else on the water thinks Kass is stark raving mad.
Also gained a wolf companion with the Tame ability. It didn't work first time I tried it but I think it's because I was in a red/yellow camp zone. Out in the wild it was fine, until I accidentally "untamed" and it went running off. Oops? I managed to get another one and so far haven't hit the ALT button at the wrong time.
Kass is now parked outside the Pythia's home so she can hopefully talk to her without annoying guards interrupting.
What's the deal with the timed bounties? Are they part of the game game, or just extra online BS?

melbella my tips are avoid doing any quests except the ones with the black and gold icons and story quests, don't do the notice board ones unless you are in a rush to accumulate XP or resources but resources can be gathered roaming. Don't do the big forts especially as nearly all of them are part of main quests or related to the black and gold icons. Story quests give the most XP and Money I think. Conquest battles are also good for rewards. Getting in to talk to the Pythia without being spotted may take some patience. Shadow of Nyx (I think it is called) is useful for this quest and other sneak in undetected quests. The tame animal thing IMO is a waste of ability points. I think there is a daily bounty and a weekly one from the notice boards, they just expire in either 24 hours or in a week. They are worth doing to get XP, Money, Resources and orichalcum IIRC. The notice board should tell you how long till the quest has to be completed.
