So Kass finished off Messara and Pephka yesterday and then headed to the Obsidian Islands to flush out the last cultist that isn't tied to the story. Pephka was fun, did the Minotaur tour and Pre-Minotaur Trials but Kass was laughed at every time she mentioned she had already killed it. Malakas!!!! Wondered why there was a main Fort I had not got a quest for and discovered I hadn't done the quest with the guy threatening to kill himself, couldn't be bothered doing it so just cleared out the fort anyway. I am not sure why but that fort always has Mercenaries turn up even if you are undetected and the signal has not gone off??? Just more to add to the kill count. At the Obsidian Islands I had done everything before but not done the Conquest battle to draw the cultist out so just walked into a fort and started killing guards and the leader and BINGO conquest battle was available. Fought for Athens as it was easier and this one it does not matter who you fight for, it's also a sea battle and I had a bit of a tough time of it TBH. Next will head off to see Xenia and start Isle of Misfortune to get the story going again. Pic's Still a bit of a chuckle on the tour even knowing how it goes down Survived the three trials Defeated the mighty Minotaur AGAIN!!!! Reunited a family

DA II
Did Merrill's quest. Wasn't going to give her the knife she wanted but since the guide stated that it made no difference, that she will use her blood on the mirror, I gave it to her to get the rest of the friendship points.
I don't often bring Varric and Isabela along, it's one or the other, but I noticed that the banter gets more funny and illuminating if I bring Aveline as well because Isabela will poke and pry at Aveline's relationship with Dommick. If it's Merril, she's clueless on what's going on in the beginning but she's starting to catch on.
Aliens Dark Descent. This title is for release today / tomorrow depending on region. I watched some gameplay and it looks ok. It has that Alien vibe and not like some other failed Alien title (Colonial Marines). Might get it or wait for a sale.

The Other Worlds
Finally made it to Monarch and that reminded me that I find the game start to get longwinded once you reach that place even if it doesn't take that much time to get there. It's too much like the starting area, but with Raptidons and Manti-queen/pillars. All super annoying beasties. Saying that, I'm having a way easier time with this character than when I first played the game. But I also got 100 in long gun skills.
I installed Persona 5 Royal. I might dabble in that a bit.

Dragon Age II Went on a ghost hunt with Varric. Turned out the heavy stomping and growl came from a golem though I'm pretty sure it wasn't floating things through the air. 😄 Some Antivan Crows were on the hunt for someone. Hawke agreed to help but ended up letting a smooth talking elf go though not before Isabela had some fun with him. Aveline was annoyed with a templar breathing down her neck over her supposedly lack of discipline among the Guard so she dragged Hawke with her for Patrol inspection. In the process, she discovered who was really behind the harassment and dealt with him. Isabela pulled Hawke to get to Castelion and ended up negotiating a deal with him. She got his ship and a promise he would not bother her again. Merril asked Hawke tp help her find the demon who had promised to help her restore the Eluvian. It ended in tragedy. The Dalish clan would have killed Merril if Hawke hadn't stepped in and promised to take responsibility for Merril. Things between Orsino and Meredith came to a point where Orisno went to the Chantry to try to get the Grand Cleric to settle the problem once and for all but before he could do so, Anders showed up, vengeful, vowing there would be no peace. The Chantry blew up, killing the Grand Cleric and the people inside. Anders claimed responsibility. Forced to take a side, Hawke declared for the Mages. Before she left for the Gallows to meet up with Orsino, Hawke killed Anders. Good riddance. The city was in chaos with mages and templars going for each other. At the Gallows, there was one last attempt to mediate but Meredith was adamant all mages had to die. Hawke spoke privately to each companion and before battle began, addressed them all and assigned tasks. Orsino gave in to despair and resorted to blood magic, putting his surviving flock in danger. Hawke had to kill him before leaving the Gallows where Meredith wanted her killed. However, Cullen disagreed and rebelled when Meredith insisted on killing the Champion. When Meredith drew her sword, Hawke and Varric recognised it as the Red Lyrium and came to the realisation that it had driven Meredith insane. Meredith was defeated and was turned into red lyrium when she attempted to draw more power from it. Recognising that he could / would not arrest Hawke, Cullen withdrew, allowing Hawke and her companions to leave Kirkwall. I think I'll do a DAI PT based on this present DAO -> DA II run. The Inq will be a human female. I've zero interest in playing the other races (since the story branching paths of the two races are shallow and mirror a human protag), except for the elf which I have already done for the last PTs. The male elf PT isn't complete though. Will leave it for a future date.

You do need t oget each character up to friendship level 5 in order to unlock their Legendary card abilities o their ultimates as I call them. Basicall ythey aer abilities such as Hunter's Bladestorm which are like extra powerful and can come in really handy especially if a boss shows up. Some it'l b equick and easy to do and some will take more work it reall ydepends on how much you end up using each character throughout your run. I tend to try to us ethe Hunter whenever I can. I only tend to drop them if they'e rinjured or the mission doesn' t have them such as the quest whereyou pick Morbius up wher it tells you to use Blade and Spiderman instead. I was wondering about that mechanic. I was tempted by Bladestorm because it was so easy to acquire, but apparently you can only use one Legendary card in a deck, and I am committed to using Charlie. I think I just reached friendship level 4 with Morbius, so I should be seeing his card soon.

I presonally prefer Bladestorm as it's an awesome AOE ability. Useful if yo uhave a larg ecrowd o fenemies t odeal wit hand need t oclear them. Quite often it's good fo rkilling 2 or 3 enemies in one go using it. Granted Charlie is good but she's no tthe mos tpowerful so genreall yI don' ttend t ouse her outsied of the missions she's with you.

Marvel's Midnight Suns
It's been exciting to see the aged Johnny Blaze in action during some recent story segments. I am glad the developers incorporated his character.
Unfortunately, my paragon Hunter hasn't been getting along with Magick and Nico recently. Neither of them appreciate the honesty and integrity at all costs persona, but my Hunter will stay true to herself.
I just completed the third Blood Trial, and explored the final area of the Abbey grounds. I was able to gather the components for the final mystery/trial right away, so I tried out the last test, but the enemies were 2 levels above Charlie and I, so I am going to come back when we hit level 16.

Posted this in the Skyrim thread but I don't think many people are still reading it, so reposting here for more visibility. I want to do another Skyrim run over the summer to shorten the time till Starfield comes out. I last played it in earnest when it released in 2011 so I have never played any of the DLCs. For this reason, my little project over the last week was to mod the game visually but maintaining an overall vanilla experience. I mainly used this modding guide, which I found extremely well written and easy to follow. I also added some extra stuff (mainly some lore friendly extra weapons and armor to increase variety and some small QoL improvements). So now, counting updates and everything, I am at over 500 mods for this build. Haven't really started my playthrough yet, just did some performance testing but so far so good. The game runs consistently with 60 FPS and I think it looks rather nice now. Some screenshots from my performance tests below: Riften - One of the most FPS demanding areas in the game and therefore a must for testing - and it looks nice. Whitrun streets - Note the dude talking to the smith, wearing an imperial cloak thanks to "Cloaks of Skyrim". Interior lighting check at the Companion's hall. The standard FPS testing view over the tundra outside of Whiterun. Whiterun, view over the city Stormy weather in the tundra. From my short test, i can already tell that the atmosphere with the lightning and thunder is fantastic. A sunny day in the northern mountains. Time to go adventuring!

The world ends with you final remix. Started and finished it over the weekend. Was a mixture of loving it and wanting to hurl my joycon through the screen. Figure it's obvious which won out.
Glad I wrapped up Neo first since the vibes from that carried me through the first third of the game. Granted the twists kinda fell flat as a result but they were still well done. The title also hit a bit more this time around. Like I got it the last time but now I really got it. And it's sweet.
Played docked with one joycon since my bird brain can't handle two and my bird fingers are too big to finely maneuverer the touch screen. So the last third was a blast because the partner really shines with you waving your arm like mad. Don't think I would've made it on the ds.
Music was so good. No bird in the hand but some really good remixes. So much bopping to the beats. Amazing.
Missed the voice acting. The snippets were not enough but the characters were still a blast. Math man is still best man. ♡
Am skipping tin slammer because I just don't get it and what I get I can't pull off so, just, no thanks. Outside of that it is hilarious and might try it sometime later because there is a chapter based on it and outside the game itself the start was hilarious.
So all in all had a blast. A frustrating blast but blast nonetheless.

Time to go adventuring! 500 MODS It looks very pretty, did the MODS come in bundles and I can't even remember is there an installer that loads and puts them in the right order? How long has it taken to get everything set up? My problem with the last three maybe four Skyrim starts is that I finally get everything set up and get to the first town after escaping and lose interest. But I really do want to do another PT it was the first game after DAO that I really obsessed over, like 1,300+ hours and multiple PT's without stopping to play another game. Just not sure after I go to all the trouble with MODS and some cheating via the console I will make myself play through it all.

So Kass started the day fighting a Cultist Ship battle, will upload video when You Tube pulls it's finger out and finishes uploading it, it's really slow for some reason. Battle was a success and sank all his/her Pirate friends. Sailed to a port and cleared several "?" in various parts. Then decided to do the quest for Phydias FT all over the place to get the clues for the Scitale. After deciphering them Kass returned to the Ancient Fortress on Lemnos (?) to unlock the previously unlockable room. Finally came across my favourite Mercenary Klymene the Beautiful Justice and manged to successfully knock her out and recruit her for the Adrestia. Pictures of her and other Lieutenants Then headed to Phokis and got a Legendary sail I didn't have from Sargon (the Abstergo one) and then headed off to do The Daughters of Lalaia Lost Tale. Rescued a woman and have to return to the village. Other Pic's Whose the fairer?

DAI
I made two attempts to make a human Inq. I wasn't happy with the hairstyle and face when I ran the first attempt through the beginning so I restarted. The second was so so but acceptable. Tried to download a hair mod but got annoyed with the difference in mod managers; DAImod and Frosty. I ran both and they're about the same, the latter though was an earlier version. I couldn't download the latest Frosty mod manager as the webpage was deemed invalid and nothing showed up.
No idea the modders couldn't stick to one type of mod version. Having two is problematic.
Tomb Raider
I'm likely to give the next TR a miss after hearing Crystal Dynamics is working with Amazon and Waller for this title. Waller messed up the Indiana Jones movie, Amazon messed up their LOTR tv series. No confidence these two jokers could turn out a solid TR game. It's more likely to be bent out of shape with an unrecognizable Lara Croft.
Starfield
This title is available for pre-purchase but release date is September. I'll wait and see if there are any more game play releases before deciding whether I want to get it.
Star Wars Outlaws
Saw some brief game play and cutscene, the latter of which made me 🤣 and shake my head. Ummm, it's a Ubisoft title. I'll need more game play releases before deciding whether this one is worth buying or wait for a sale.

I'll wait and see if there are any more game play releases before deciding whether I want to get it. Star Wars Outlaws Saw some brief game play and cutscene, the latter of which made me 🤣 and shake my head. Ummm, it's a Ubisoft title. I'll need more game play releases before deciding whether this one is worth buying or wait for a sale. Yeah I just usually use DAImod for modding DAI not Frosty really as I have enough DAI mods that I'm satisfied with what I have for playing the game and DAI mods install and run pretty easil yanyway for when I want to play it. I'm tempted by Star Wars Outlaws it was on eof the few games that looked good to me as a lot of the Summer showcases wer e rubbish. Also I'm not interested in Starfield as I don' t tend to get on with Bethesda's games so it's a game I'll be giving a miss but I can see it doing well for Bethesda though despite the vocal PS fanboys. As for TR I've no tseen anything to make m ehtink I'll like o rdislike the new one yet. Until I see the game itself I'll keep an open mind. Personall yright now I' mjus twaitin on moe rdetails on EA sports FC(the new name for Fifa) and seeing what changes if any are comin gto that game. Because fo rthe res tof this year thre's nothing particular I've go tm yeye on ou5tside of that and Forza. Thankfully I d ohave a backlog of games so I can retreat to that if necessary. I'm jus tstickin gwit hmy Fifa's an d F1' s and my comfort games atm as that's what I want to play.

Must admit one other thing I'll b elooking forward to on the nwe game plus run on Midnight Suns will be having Hulk from the beginning. When I do it that is as he does d oa lo to fdamage and I d olike his Worldbreaker abilty. I thin khaving him and Venom on the same team will be quite good fun too. I hav edone a new gam eplus run befoer but not with the DLC characters so that'll be fun after I do my Dark Hunter run.

You know the rule - modding Skyrim always takes longer than actually playing Skyrim afterwards.

Genreall yspeaking though I don' ttend t ohave more thasn a couple o fmods installed on a game at an ytime whenever I do mod.

500 MODS It looks very pretty, did the MODS come in bundles and I can't even remember is there an installer that loads and puts them in the right order? You can look into Wabbajack (https://www.wabbajack.org/) for a mod list installer (look at the gallery set to Skyrim for pack options). Not what AnDromedary used thought, he just followed STEP: stepmodifications.org/wiki/SkyrimSE:2.2.0. And added some more item mods on top. I personally just never uninstall my Skyrim installation and I try to keep it minimal these days. I save time from pass time of "modding Skyrim".

Tales of Vesperia After 8 months I have finally reached the end credits. Granted it was 70 hours spread over 8 months, but details details. Might have gone for a year if the guide I was following hadn't been deleted. Thankfully the wayback machine had a copy, but navigating between the chapters is a pain so decided to just speed things along. Granted there are other guides, but this one was so delightfully mindful of spoilers, gorgeously set up and not to heavy in the fluff department. And playing blind seems like the more reasonable option but the FOMO was killing me. And navigating the areas makes my head hurt. And I don't like the combat. I didn't mind it with the guide since once combat was over I could just check what the heck I was doing before and where to go next, but without it it's just what direction was I even facing. And as the timing suggest there were long periods between sessions, so would be even more lost. And it's like, did you even enjoy the game? Enjoy it? I had a blast. The way a simple retrieval mission snowballed into what ever the heck was going on by the end was fascinating. Loved the characters arcs. Found Yuri an absolutely fascinating protagonist, specially with Flynn being on the other end of the spectrum. Estelle was such a precious bean. So were Rita and Karol. Did not dig Judy at first but she grew on me pretty fast. Raven was hilarious and so was Patty. And can't forget Repede, he such a dapper dog. The skits were my favourite bits and would've been so peeved to miss out on some of the sidequest dialog the guide pointed me to. And the costumes. The areas were really pretty, even keeping track of the names was kind of a pain. Did like how many of the sidequests intertwined, like oh good thing I helped this guy out since he's saving my bacon now. So that was neat. Don't know if I'll replay the game, since while it was fun it also felt so freaking long. But am glad I played it. Also been itching to try out the other games in the series, but also kinda worried they'll hit me with the FOMO. But it was very fun.

Still trying games on Gamepass...and not sticking to any. I wasn't too in the mood for the "daily" structure of Persona 5, so I dropped that after 2 hours. I tried a few "game preview" stuff that were not that great. I tried High on Life and the devs were certainly high when they made that. Too vulgar for me. Chained Echoes reminds me of the old Trail of Legend games, but you don't play as one character so its weird to me. I might play it a bit more thought. I decided to go through the Halo Master Chief storyline (via the Master Chief Collection). Currently playing the Reach on like mission 3 I think. I went and re-specced in The Outer Worlds, moved back too a 2-handed melee character and I think I'm just bored because it's too easy now, but also because Monarch is just too much travelling around.

So Kass finished the daughters of Lalaia Lost Tale, I quite like that one and Kass got more than friendly with Thyia and for the first time asked her to join the crew but regret it as she is only a blue so useless. Should have let her stay with her village. Spoiler melbella Had forgotten if you have taken control of the Daughters of Artemis you can get them to help the villagers. Then started the Lost Tale for Barnabas "A Friend Worth Dying for". Had already done the Syren's part (which I had forgotten ) then did the Cyclops Part and then the Witch. All worked out fine which was a relief as this one has glitched for me before. I forgot how to get the option to recruit the Witch so replayed that part a few times before finding what I needed. Again she is not much use but better to keep her under supervision. Pic's
