At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

Yeah here we go, I swear this is just a small sidetrack and then it is heading towards the Forest Array after talking with these two Troopers:

saandrig it says 1920-1080 recommended but has the option for 2880/1620 in the display settings is that what I should change it to there is no other option other than lower than 1080? Other option is scale resolution to 125, 150, 175% Oh, yeah, the 2880x1620p is the resolution "unlocked" by the 2.25x option of DLDSR. You should switch to it ingame. If the image gets too sharp or not sharp enough, tweak the "Smoothness" setting for DLDSR in the Nvidia Control Panel. Mind you, it's "Smoothness", not "sharpness", so at 100% it doesn't sharpen the image, while at 0% there is no Smoothness and the image is ultra sharpened. The "resolution scaling" option is usually inferior to the DLDSR image quality, but you can play with it to see if it gets better or worse.

Dual Chroma Demo
Standard fantasy fair, the art is somewhat pretty. Author too obsessed with a blushy MC. There is a fighting mode you can skip by playing story mode which makes it a little abrupt.
"get ready!" ------battle skipped--- "That was crazy!"
They also have only the one love interest, he seems okay. The appeal is apparently having that relationship 8 different ways. Is female led an option? Ruling the throne through my adoring husband king would be a thing I'm into. But don't see that they're letting on about clues like that. Rated 16+
I've been curious about Galen Games for a few months but not pulled the trigger on anything. Maybe this VN will be the start.
I have 'The Arcana" (heavily monetized)and "our life" (free) and "of frost and flowers" demo on my phone. Finding android VN has been great.

After taking a time out yesterday to start a nwe Midnight Suns playthrough I'm back playing Fifa toda yand spending some time wit hthe women's teams. It's been fun playing a little bit with having the girls play for different clubs in the game as I've got Chloe Kelly playingfor Spurs salongside Sara Dabritz and Jordyn Huitema wsa thinking for m ynext season having Le Sommer from Lyonnais join Spurs as well on the game for my next season. I'm really just enjoying seeing some of the girls playing for teams tha tthe ydon't normall ypla yfor in real life given Huitema plays for OL Reign and Chloe Kelly plays for Manchester City. It's jus tbeen fun mixing them al lup and having them all play in different leagues and in some cases jus tdiferen tclubs as on m yNWSL save I'm playing I have Lauren Hemp and Van de Donk bot hplaying for KC Current.
Hoping they add a few moer women's leagues for EA sports FC as the women's leagues have been a fun little side distraction on Fifa 23 for when I want to break away from career mode.
Sounds like we'll be getting some details on EA sports FC next week and it also sounds like they've made moer upgrades to the Hypermotion tech as ther we re a fe snippets of info released today as they've benn rengotiating and updating some of thei rlicenses fo rthe various leagues in the game. Also the beta test is next week stqarts nextewek as well but only on Playstation. I hope the ydo one on Xbox as well as I enjoyed my time Beta testing Fifa 23 even if I spent most o ftha ttime playing around in career mode as the women's teams weren't available in the beta.

So finished Havarl, quick trip to Eos then on to Voeld. Changed my Sara again, not overly happy with her more cosmetic surgery today. Might revert to non-asian Sara. Voeld - game always crashes with MODS loaded when landing. Had to restart the game without MODS then restart with them loaded, added the MOD that removes the environmental hazard, makes Voeld much more fun to explore.

GW2
My Necro Kitty dealt with the Eye, Mouth and Zaithan ability to make an army. Mostly. He has other Eyes and Mouths, but now is the time to invade Orr! I don't have much left to do to finish the core story: 2 missions to invade Orr, 3 missions to deal with the "source of Orr" and then "Victor Or Death" dungeon final.

Legends of Heroes Trails of ZeroTried it with a controller over the weekend. So much better. Why I no done sooner. Did the interlude and I think a huge chunk of chapter 4. Turns out there is also a chapter 5, so still got a while to go. Have decided to pick Tio in all the bonding sessions. Because Tio is adorable and while I love Randy more he just doesn’t feel the same about me. But that’s more reason to replay the game so, not mad. Took a small break and continued today. Wrapped up chapter 4. Having a blast with chapter 5, but realized I’m not going to get the low level achivo and the chest you opened don’t carry over to NG+ so going to have to open them all again for the achivo since I missed a decent chunk of them. Booo. So spent the last part of the session mulling over if I even want all the achivos. I do. But also lazy. And game is long. Still want to reiterate that most of chapter 5 has been an utter blast. Watching cars aggressively side sweep is just the greatest. Am semi in the final stretch and the end game fatigue is hitting me. So leaving the boss that just trounced me for later, since he's nowhere near the final one. My Time at SandrockPablo got back to town so Duke got a new doo. Not sure if it’s supposed to be dreads or curls or candy rolls but I really like it on him. Looks very cute. Which granted is going a bit against his original vibe, but I’m a sucker for cute. Has made friends with Grace now. Arvio and Owen are also close to the friend point and Justice and Vivi tailing close behind. Captain is still an associate and so is Nemo, but he’ll charm them yet. Have unlocked Arvio’s romance quest so wondering if they’ll end up together. On the other hand he hasn’t got a tailoring machine and there is a four day time limit… Rosa unlocked the Sandrunner minigame and is expecting a visit from a friend while she waits for the next Fire Side. Been looking into the party mechanic, have purchased the table and actually have room for it, but haven’t got any food yet. Figure I’ll cheese it with the Wiki since she’s not schmoozing Owen nor Mabel and nobody else knows how to cook. Figure it might be fitting to throw a small party while the friend is in town. To be a good host and all. Burgess is being criminally cute, saying he found a magazine with a “Are we just friends?” poll and when he filled it out for Rosa he aced it. Unless I’m reading it wrong and they are in fact, just friends. Still, he's a little cutie. Precious little bean. Hope he gets some cute content when the game updates next.

Diablo 4
Cleaning up Fractured Peaks (Act 1 area) quests. The stronghold I couldn't beat before was actually part of a quest line I hadn't discovered yet. So, followed the quest line and had to take out all the baddies again. Died again vs the boss but beat it on the second attempt. Once the stronghold was recovered I could finish the quest. A follow up quest with the clan chief bugged out but I reloaded after a while and it worked properly. Had to clear the area again, of course. There is another stronghold available in this area (and actually a third I haven't located) but I'm not sure I want to do it or just move on with the main story.
AC Odyssey
Just spinning my wheels here, not sure what to do next. Nothing is jumping out as super important/interesting or main story related other than Cultist hunting, which is slow going. I roamed Attika looking for a mine but the only one I can find is the one I already cleared. I did find a marble quarry though. Still no idea where Achaia is supposed to be - it's not showing up on the map. The other clue I have is a fort polemarch but I'm really not in the mood to take on a fort.

Here's the world map, Achaia is in the very north west guides.gamepressure.com/assassins-creed-odyssey/guide.asp?ID=46912The Silver Mine I think you are looking for is in the south of Attika, if you want to get the Cultist you have to do all Sokrates (in particular) and Alkibiades quests in Athens. Sokrates also has one in Delos but not sure you need to do it it is relevant to Mykonos and Kyra. If you are unsure what to do just go round clearing the map by lowest levels doing the Black and Gold ! quests. But you should always have a main quest of some sort in your journal in particular finding mum.

In MEA itself it has a Resolution Scale setting from 0 to 2.0, I adjusted that to 2,0 and my PC went into take off mode during gameplay!!!! Dropped it to 1.5 and it seems happier I can feel a bit more heat but the fans are running quiet but do I even need to bother with that? Not sure I can see a difference but I am on Voeld and its all white and snowy.

Been adventuring around Riften for a while, enjoying the Indian Summer. I don't recognize this house. Is it one you modded in, or one I modded out? Anyway... I gave Dungeons of Naheulbeuk another go. This time without the tutorial enabled. There's probably a lot I'm missing, but I've made it to chapter 3. I decided to keep the Paladin. I would have liked to be able to dump the Dwarf for the Priestess, but I'll see how it goes.

Dropped it to 1.5 and it seems happier I can feel a bit more heat but the fans are running quiet but do I even need to bother with that? Not sure I can see a difference but I am on Voeld and its all white and snowy. You can keep the desktop resolution at 1620p if you like, but you can always go back to 1080p if it bothers you. As long as the game options have the 1620p "unlocked" and available, you can be at 1080p on the desktop and only change the ingame resolution to 1620p through the ingame options. Changing the desktop resolution is required only if the game hides the 1620p option from you and wants the desktop to match it. That's why I am on a 1440p desktop resolution (my native), but in most games like HZD, Spiderman, CP2077, Odyssey, etc, I have manually set the ingame resolution to 4k due to the 2.25x DLDSR. MEA's Resolution scaling is a much more basic tool than DLDSR. DLDSR does some AI magic on the entire image, tightens it up, cleans the edges and makes it look more pixel rich. MEA's Resolution scaling just brute forces a higher resolution and the best expected effect is some minor polish on the aliasing (jagged edgies). It's expected the PC to heat up if you switch to DLDSR or Resolution Scaling. You ask it to work at a twice higher resolution or more. The 4070Ti is very efficient, so at 1080p it probably barely hits 150 watts at highest loads and is still cool and quiet (your 1070ti most likely used its max 180w at the same load and was heating up a lot with the fans starting to roar). When you increase the resolution, the card increases the power consumption. It has a ceiling of 285w and that heat starts to be felt. You should see how hot my case gets when my 4090 goes up to 450w, lol. The GPU fans also increase speed to cool the card and dump the extra heat out. It's all normal. The card was not made to snooze after all. We want shiny graphics! You can put a power limit on the card if you want it to not hit the max of 285w - through MSI Afterburner. A 80% Power Limit (it's a simple slider that you put at 80% and hit Apply below) usually works almost as stock performance, but at better thermals. At each 1620p DLDSR and 2.0 Resolution Scaling you are doubling the pixel count and thus the GPU load. You can even set the resolution at 1620p and then ALSO use 2.0 Resolution Scaling on top of it. Theoretically that will give you the best possible image on your monitor, but you will be rendering a resolution that's slightly above even the regular 4k. Your card will feel it, lol. Hell, my card will feel it too. I'd recommend sticking to the 1620p of DLDSR. Only up the Resolution Scaling above 1.0 for testing or screenshots.

I'll drop the Resolution Scaling to 1.0 as I didn't notice any difference with that at 1.5 TBH. Thanks as always for your help. EDIT: saandrig so now I am a bit confused again as I went into the game to drop the Resolution Scale setting but discovered this "Full Screen Resolution" I am sure it wasn't there before???: I mucked around with raising that and the PC got a bit excited when I bumped it up to 2880 (it gave me a choice of Hz) so I assume that that is unnecessary as the PC's Display setting has already been set to 2880/1620? Is that correct? So I put it back to 1080p anyway. So should the Resolution scaling being 1.5 instead of 1.0 make a big difference?

dazk How do you get mods to work with Andromeda? I am using the Frosty Mod Manager, but I can't get the mods to work. I never had this problem before. I am using the latest FMM.

Just been playing MEA with 1620 Display Resolution setting, 2.25 DSR and 30% Smoothness with MEA's Resolution Scale at 1.5 and didn't have any dramas that I was aware of and even recording video. Yeah, if you changed the ingame resolution option from the default 1080p to 1620p (just to repeat again - that's how one activates DLDSR to work in a game, not just by setting it to 2.25x at NVCP) and then Res Scaling at 2.0, you were hitting the maximum loads of 4k+ rendering. No wonder your GPU wanted to fly, lol. But now you know it can handle it well enough, albeit with some noise and heat. The good news is that many newer games have DLSS. So you can use DLSS at Quality setting with DLDSR too. That will give you the same great image, but significantly reduce the GPU load and thus less heat.

dazk How do you get mods to work with Andromeda? I am using the Frosty Mod Manager, but I can't get the mods to work. I never had this problem before. I am using the latest FMM. You've used FMM before yes? Just need to know if I need to start from the beginning, if you have you probably have to open FMM and go into Tools then Options on the top Menu Bar and choose Launch Options and under general choose Platform Launching Enabled and choose the EADesktop - that is tick it. It should then work, you may need to be patient, like 5 minutes patient for the game to launch from FMM is my experience. Sometimes if it doesn't launch in a minute or so shut the window that says it is waiting for the game to launch and click Launch again. Make sure the EA App and FMM are set to run as administrator.

Keep the Resolution Scaling at 1.0 for starters. You can tweak it later to see if it has any effect. I don't think it would improve the image much, but will give a big load on the GPU.
Set that "Full Screen Resolution" in the MEA options at 2880x1620 and the highest Hz option it allows - should be 165Hz.
Turn off V-sync in the game if you have it to "On" globally in the Nvidia Control Panel.

When I did this the PC went nuts except at the lower Hz setting (I think 59Hz). I put it back to 1080p 165Hz In Global Settings of the Nvidia Ctrl Panel I have now turned-on Vertical Sync and will tomorrow turn it off in game. Should I then try changing the "Full Screen Resolution" in game up to 2880/1620 having done that or is it unnecessary if the PC's Display Setting is already set to that? Sorry to be a pain.

dazk I have used FMM before, and I did set FMM to launch the game through EaAPP. I tried it with a simple mod that changed Cora's eyes to blue, but they are still brown in game. Anyway the mod I really need is the 1000 Remnant Keys mod.
