Resolution Scale is set to 1 and MEA is already FPS Capped at 100 FPS. EDIT I checked this and under program settings in the Nvidia Ctrl Panel MEA is capped at 100 FPS but when I start the game it runs at 100FPS but then for some reason drops to 60 FPS is there something else that would cause that? I have not capped FPS globally in Nvidia? The game does not allow you to set and FPS cap.Bumped the Hz up to 144Hz and there was an initial spike in Fan Speed and the Temp seemed to go up (I could feel the temp. rise and smell it) but it subsided to normal again within a minute. If my FPS is capped at 100 is there any point changing the Hz to 165 which is the max. for my monitor? I will look at installing monitoring software today, I tried MSI but felt like I needed to be a fighter pilot to understand it and I ain't no fighter pilot. I also looked at HWinfo and I cannot figure out what to install there when you hover over the "Free download" there are 4 choices and i don't know what I am choosing. Is there a simpler one? I think I have used Open Hardware before and it seems straight forward to download. If the cap is set to 100 in NVCP, you can set the Hz at 1 000 in game and it won't matter. The global cap will be respected and the game shouldn't go above 100. If it does, then the global cap is not applied properly for some reason and you should look it up in NVCP if it got disabled or changed.
If the MEA frames drop, it's either cutscenes that are capped at 60 or some horribly optimized area like the Tempest bridge near Suvi. Otherwise it should be at or close to the cap of 100. If it stick to 60 all the time, some other frame cap is active somewhere, probably in the MEA settings.
MSI Afterburner is just made to look fancy. It's really easy to use and all options you need should be on the opening screen.
As for HWInfo - just pick the Fast CDN or whatever is first in the download.

Mmmm its strange it just gets stuck at 60 I'll have another look must be something I am missing. EDIT: It seems to have something to do with the Resolution Scale, when I bump that up from 1 to 1.5 the FPS jumped, when I put it down to 1,25 the FPS dropped to 60FPS Capped even though I changed it in the NVCP Program Settings for MEA to 144FPS. I don't understand. Cheers will have a look at MSI again.

GW2
I continued the Living World Season 3 storyline with my Soulbeast. And I discovered a new event for my event Rotation: Twisted Marionette. Nice and creepy and easy gold. I missed that part in the LWS1 story, since for some reason, the game jumped to the next storyline (I think that was LWS2) instead of to the next chapter. I probably will do that part later.
SWTOR
Finally have left Ruhnuk and am doing the new storyline. I'm not really enthusiastic about the game anymore though, so I consider stop playing for now.

ACVTheme of the day Horse GPS sucks taking me through various zones it probably should not have been doing. Like right through the middle of distrust areas, and restricted areas. It was kind of fun though running from a lot of soldiers then jumped off the top of the base to get away from them. On the story front continuing on with hunting down the Children of Danu and dusting off the cobwebs because I remember liking this DLC a lot but I just do not remember it. So Ciara also flirts shamelessly with Eivor 'you drive a woman mad Eivor.' Apparently he does. And well the second Pucara I do not qutie remembering them being that strong. I got a little cocky there. But still managed to get them all done. From there though more Royal Demands which is...quite annoying. It does make sense to force that level of grind in the story once to introduce a gameplay mechanic...but yeah twice is pretty big of a grind deal. But what caught my eye was it mentioned that 'your rewards could double but the Raider tent isn't built yet'. So Raider Tent thinking what's that, doesen't really ring too much of a bell. But that does inspire me to again take one of the trade posts because it mentioned 'raider tent of the region' so figured it might have the tent. And that took awhile but long story short, got another CHild of Danu, and well no tent raider thing...so yeah. Then did a little more, thought 'maybe its in Dublin' so did a few of the contracts and got the renown up to level 2...but no lcuk from there. On the bright side I did do a Royal Plea finally only killed the neccessary people. Made quite liberal youth of the sleep cloud ability thing there.

Yesterday I completed a lot of Voeld including the random quests and activating the monoliths but not the vault yet but did do the Kett Command Centre which is always fun.Voeld is very beautiful with the new PC and Upscaled Resolution etc. I hope people didn't mind me posting about the settings etc. I thought it might help others as I had no idea about that stuff. Thanks saandrig A few pic,s I have reverted to the first version of my Sara for this PT, the others just didn't work for me visually or feel wise. Voeld is a hard planet to capture good shots and especially to show how beautiful the lighting and enhance effects etc are. Armour detail is amazing although this is not that great a shot. A bit easier to see the Yvara if you know what you are looking for The Creepy AI and the lighting is beautiful - killed it. Lighting, detail and colour again Sara Yeah the base shootouts are always fun in this game. They're some of my favourite side quests tbh.As I like the Eos one and the scavenger flophouse too.

FDev, pls. Recalled my ship (this auto lands it close to where I am), and it just plunks it down. Right on top of a big ass rock. Right where the cargo bay door is to get my SRV (the Mako, but worse) into the ship. For some reason, when I re-save the hi-res shot (because file is too big) it borks it up

I don't understand. Ha, that's weird. But it sounds like an option like "Variable Refresh rate" or "Dynamic Resolution Scaling" is being active. Check to see MEA's settings for something like that. If there isn't, then probably such an option it hidden and tied to a certain Resolution Scaling setting.
Does it get stuck to 60 FPS at 1.0 Resolution Scaling? I can't recall right now, but can you completely turn off Resolution Scaling in MEA? That might be the best approach to fix the FPS issue.

Assassin's Creed: Valhalla is on sale at Steam. It has mixed reviews. DO you think the game is worth purchasing? Reading dazk and melbella playthrough of Odyssey makes me want to try it. I am a big fan of classical history and I did play a bit and enjoyed AC: Origins. Timeline wise Odyssey takes place before Origins. Anyway is Valhalla worth the discount?

Blackwater in Pathfinder WotR, playing an Azata Vivisectionist, lets just say that 65AC Kalavakus Marauders and Succubi are really over-the-top on Unfair in act 3, even with a team that pretty much insta-gibbed the Nabasu boss and Staunton in act 2, and the village boss in Wintersun after I figured out that the best strategy is to rush him.

Miasma Chronicles
I realized this game only has 3 difficulty settings and I'm actually playing on Normal, not easy, lol.
I saved up all my money to buy the best weapon in the game but I only have a key yet and actually still need to unlock the map where I can claim it. I keep reading how buying guns is a waste (except for the most powerful one, that's why I bought it) and you get better weapons all the time but I haven't found a better gun in hours. They do nowhere near as much damage ad the level 3 guns in the shop.
It's OK though. The game is a lot easier now. It's almost boring because it doesn't seem to matter what skills I unlock and utilize. The gameplay is supposed to be about the miasma powes, yet I barely use them and don't need them apparently. It's only about stealth killing as many enemies as possible. And the 2-4 ones left that you can't insta kill you can finish off without much tactical thinking at all. Maybe on hard you actually need to think about your build.
I enjoy the game for the art style and vibe and I'm fine with not very complex gameplay. So I'm having fun. But combat isn't that great imo once you understand how it works. Then it becomes very simple and repetitive. But it's a good simple training wheels refresher on cRPGs for BG3. I'm sure I'll be super overwhelmed with the complexity anyway because complex Miasma Chronicles is NOT.

Nutz: a free indie visual novel
I didn't like it 😔 I thought the trigger warnings were for if you picked that guy to romance. I'm not into horror. And then it's not even as horrifying as it could be if they hadn't made the guys absurd characters I didn't want to smooch at all in the first place. The only one that seemed like effort was put in was Ackerman. But there are some paths I didn't select my first way through that I may try later to see if it redeems it.

It tells a better story than Odyssey (in my opinion, others may disagree, of course) and has a lot of "hol' up a minute" distractions from said story. The world is huge and beautifully done. Eivor (only played female) isn't the God-tier protagonist that Kassandra is, but she's definitely not bad. Just a little edge-lordy, I think. I've only played the Ireland (Druids) and Paris DLCs. They were both "fine" - Druids was the better of the two - but both of them were little more than 'everything you liked and didn't like from the main game in new locations'. Haven't played Ragnarok, because it is a full priced version of the part of the base game that I hate the most. TL/DR - in my opinion, yes - worth it on a discount.

Yes even at full price it was worth it but it has a completely different feel to Odyssey. Eivor is more Brooding where Kass is snarky and funny. Combat is not as much fun but my take was you are a Viking so just go berserk, Axes flailing. Story is a bit up and down in quality IMO, building your settlement is enjoyable.

It's inferior to Odyssey in my eyes. But at a discount, sure. There is a lot of game in there. And you will most likely get 50-60 hours out of it before it starts to feel tedious. Same stance here; Odyssey is way better than Valhalla. Story for Valhalla is pretty thin. Their version of Viking mythos mumbo jumbo is mixed up with the Isu back story, taking up quite a chunk of Eivor's personal story that I didn't get much satisfaction with her journey. One the DLCs on this mythos doesn't add much to the overall narrative, a complete waste of time and $$. Imo, they would have done better not to kickstart Eivor as a shield maiden. It's AC right? Start her right off as not a warrior, but as a member of the tribe. Not too low, not too high in rank but still playing a significant role. She wouldn't have any skills with a sword or shield but she would know how to use knives, daggers, etc and know how to stay out of sight when needed. But they want their razzle dazzle trailer and run the usual trope of the Viking warrior. Odyssey gel with most players because of the timeline; the Ancient Greek world. It's a world filled with the mythos of the Greek gods, the heroes who rise and fall, the legendary cities of the Greeks. Who has not read of their stories? Of their prowess? Is it surprising the devs decided to go with the mythos and created the demigod / PC, Kassandra. It help the story is not terrible, Kassandra is voiced by an excellent actress, the Greek cities are beautifully created and the skills and abilities befit those of a demigod. I have the most fun with Odyssey because I enjoyed the combat more than the usual AC system of stealth and assassination. It's the rogue among the AC titles and die hard AC fans hate it. Me? I enjoyed being a demigod. 😄

You'll have to do the horse thief Sokrates quest to get the Cultist to appear at that Silver Mine in southern Attika, it is right down near the tip. If you sail down the eastern side of Attika you should be able to see a Fast Travel Icon on the bar at the top as you look landwards. It's right near there. Hmm, I've done that quest, and that mine is the one I already cleared out. So now it's full up again with a cultist there?!

Last night I installed Odyssey because that's the only way I continue my AC3 Remastered playthrough. Seeing as how Odyssey is so radically different from the older AC games. I was thinking of playing both AC games simultaneously. But that's after ME3, MEA, and Marvel's Midnight Suns.

Do you actually need to go into the mine to complete the cultist quest, you can just kill him if you want the quest is a choice one just so Sokrates can ask you a question but it otherwise meaningless from memory, I just killed the cultist this time through.

Yes, the ancient Greek world is what drew me into the game. I love classical history and grew up reading the Greek myths. I was thinking of starting a male character since there is so much love for Kassandra and none for the male. So I wanted to see how bad he is. But whenever I get to play it I'll pick Kassandra, since like I said she gets a lot of love from the AC community. She gets so much love that she is the canon character of that game.

Kassandra is the canon character and it's not due to the affections of the AC Community. There's a AC book on Kassandra, based on her current timeline. Eivor of Valhalla is the devs / publishers wanting to have their cake and eat it which is why they and some AC players keep insisting canon Eivor can be male or female because of the way the CC is designed but Eivor Varinsdottir is a woman's name as it meant Eivor daughter of Varin. I agree with an analysis of the Valhalla game design by a game YTuber; the devs and publisher want to please everyone and end up pleasing no one. What would their next title be like? Scratch that. I know the next title is about dinky Basim of whom I have no interest in so skipping that one. The next title after is code name Red or something. Would it be like Valhalla? It's another nail in the coffin if it is.

Yep, I just killed him after telling him to get stuffed about the favor he wanted. Then I took out Nyx, so one sage down and many more to go.
Then fast traveled to upgrade the spear again, and I just need 1 more token for the next level. Next stop was Keos to meet the pirate queen Xenia. Paid her a ton of drachmae to tell me, yeah, Mom's not here, sorry. Cleared out the fort, stole lots of loot, set myself on fire a couple of times, and then went back to town to see all the new quest icons that popped up.
