GW2
Necro Kitty already half-way Heart of Thorns. The egg is all safe and sound in Tarir now and she moved into Tangled Depth with her party aka the "How the HELL do I get there?!" map. Well for most people, after multiple adventures on it I know how to go where I need to go...most of the time. Sometimes I take a wrong turn and end up super lost too.
After HoT, it's LS3, then PoF, then LS4 and 5, then EoD...then the stuff post-EoD I haven't done on any characters because I'm too busy make new characters and then the new expac that release next month. So many things...
I might not make it before BG3 release, but I' not complaining. GW2 is easy to pick-back up since it's all so linear.

Legends of Heroes Trails of ZeroWent back on my plan since I started Azure and got hit with FOMO. And I had a bit less free time for a while so mindlessly speeding through Zero feels nice. Figure I’ll use the save from my first run though, just want to unlock the bond options on the clear file. Granted the change will probably be minimal, but it would still bother me. Gave up on the whole plan of taking it slow. Just no attention. Was delightfully surprised that the person with the highest bond wakes Lloyd during that scene. Tio blasting him with ice spells just seemed so natural after the scene they had before. But no way I’m saying no to more Randy content. My time at SandrockRosa’s friend came and went without a party. Kinda disappointed you can’t tell her you’re dating someone if you got someone with a heart knot. Granted I just wanted to hear her go “Nope that’s a horrible idea”. Figure she won't acknowledge a marriage either, but alas. Game on the other hand was thrilled to tell me about the wedding mechanics. Which is hilarious since Rosa is dating the one fellow who won't marry her (since he’s already married to himself and all). Got yeeted by Zeke which is always a trip. Lukas got himself a haircut and a semi date with Mi-an. Or well, she just wanted a discounted meal, but it was only for couples so naturally Lukas is just yes this is my future wife after all. Alas he refuses to behave during the cutscene. So they are sitting at a table but his node thingy is to the side and I can deal with everyone looking away from me (from the camera view) since they are looking at his node (which is beside the table) also adds to the embarrassed vibe, except at the end there is a photo op and since he’s there (and the world revolves around him) Mi-an also get displaced and I end up with this. Freaking dorks. It does fit their attitude though. Figures once I settle on a save Mi-an decides to refuse the heart knot. Alas no one is safe from the power of reloads. So now they are a thing. Kinda mucked up the Duke/Arvio ship. Mostly because there is a “yikes gotta go” and I just couldn’t resist. Did also check out how accepting the dance goes and it didn't really match the vibe I'm getting from Duke but also really want to make a char who does fit that vibe because adorable. They will still be buds I hope. Then the day after a cutscene with Unsuur kicks in and it ends up with him locking himself in his closet. Which is extra awkward when later in the evening Duke is supposed to join him and Justice for a soup dinner. And how will we enjoy soup when the host is locked in his closet?! So had to go bail him out and they two ended up as besties. Or well, said they were besties but so far they're just buds and after watching paint dry together I'll figure they'll just stay that way. Duke also got a rabbit hutch so now there are pink bunnies chilling in the workshop. So that's neat. Would get chickens too but the space the farm critters take is pretty big. Maybe one day.

So Sara had a disappointing chat with Sloane Kelly and eventually broke in and freed Vehn Terev with Reyes assistance. Agreed to investigate some murders and to find Dr, Nakomoto's formula for Oblivion. Drove around ignoring some quest but rescued Remi Tomayo from Cannibals, got the formula from a lying Asari, activated all the Monoliths, found some memory Triggers and some plants and scanned some new minerals. Will activate the vault then do the murder investigations in the port plus investigate who killed some Angaran's. then the follow on quests for Reyes and Sloane and then get the hell out of Kadara. Still want to save Sloane but........ Pic's Scanned this plant not sure I have ever been able to scan any of the Flora on Kadara. Found this Datapad at the place that has the sick guy in the place with the safe water, not sure I have ever noticed it previously. Which ties in nicely with answering their SOS, Sara of course tried some of their "Medicinal Plant" Blowing up a Hydra, all twenty enemies scanned for APEX

Started a career mode yesterda yon Fifa 17. Must admit I almost forgot how good the Martin Tyler and Alan Smith's commentary was. I don't mind Derek Rae but he's not on Martin Tyler's level. I'll probabl ywait until I'v edone a season o r2 of career befoer I start a new Journey run though. But I d oplan on playing career modes and playing the Journe yon all 3 of those Fifa's. Fifa 23 does have much nicer graphics but the commentary is not on the same level.

Necro Kitty defeated Mordremoth! Two dragons down, four to go. Now I got funerals to attend to, because important NPCs died.
I also fought against one Hero Point Champion solo (one I soloed before). It was a close one, but not because of the Champion, it's the trashmobs around his spawn point that respawned in under 2 minutes and all have stupid CCs. I only have on stun breaker on a 30 sec cooldown. Booooo.
And when I got into Dragon's Stand for the last story part, the meta was basically starting and the map was near full, so I did that before the story and I got all the HP there too. If I get bored of Harbinger, I'll switch to Reaper.

Well - Of course I dived into my favorite series, with the last installment released a short while ago. I am talking about The Legend Of Heroes - Trails Into Reverie...
I am not going to say too much about it, because a lot of people still have to play this game. I bought the game on GOG, where I use to buy all my Falcom games(*). I can only say the game runs perfectly on my system (Ryzen 5 5600X, RTX4070, SSD harddisk(s) and Asus Prime X570-P motherboard). Right off the bat you team up with a whole bunch of familiar faces in Crossbell. I won't go into detail, because of spoilers, but it really starts off in a great way. I am not that far in, and I will take my time, because it's the last installment of the "Trails" series and a wrap-up of them. After that we start a whole new chapter of games playing in Calvard with tho Kuro series, that still have to be translated to English.
Anyway - I have a great time now, and because I will take my time I still have a big part ahead of me. Of course there are other games I will play, and one of them is Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg that will be released within a little more than a day. Of course there is the Cyberpunk expansion on the horizon, Baldurs Gate 3, and my hope for a great Fallout4/Skyrim crossover called Starfield. I can't wait to play that game and if it is as moddable as the previous games. If so I am sure I will have a great time with it in the years to come...
(*) Indeed - I have all the Falcom games on GOG. Those include the full Legend Of Heroes series (Trails In The Sky Fc, SC, 3th, Trails From Zero, Trails To azure, Trails Of Cold Steel I to IV and now Trails Into Reverie), all the Ys games, all the Zwei games, Xanadu Next, Tokyo Xanadu eX+ and Gurumin).

VTM: Swansong
The pace of the scenes/episodes/chapters has increased noticeably. Where a scene could easily take 90 minutes if I was taking my time, now they're going by in 25-30, if that.
The protagonists have all arrived at the SAD base - by one means or another - and are moving through. It is exciting to see the events unfold, but I feel like these Kindred are seriously underpowered - physically - from what I played to death in Bloodlines 1. I'm completely unfamiliar with WoD beyond these two games - are vampires not "much, much" stronger than humans in the lore? That aside - I'm enjoying it still.
I keep thinking about the reviews that said 'if you didn't take a particular skill, you're locked out of progressing', and wondering if I haven't hit that point yet, if I've passed it and simply chose the skill naturally or if the reviews were focused on an optional skill check that I missed or saw that I didn't meet so just moved on.

Yeah I heard Deadpool was pretty famous for that. Morbius is fun too in the way he's kind of a mix between Huinter and Captain Marvel. By that I mean he has both quick an dstandard attacks like Hunter but mixed in thei rhe ha shis Bloodlust ability which allows him to do Bleed damage each time he strikes which is kind of similar to when Captain Marvel goes Binary to boost her damage output.Mus t admit allth echaractres have thei rfunny moments though which is one of the things I ral ylike about thi sgame. Yes sometimes the yrile each other up nbut it's all in good fun. For example I like ribbing Ironman/Tony about his fear of the ghosts around the Abbey.

I played the game blind and only referred to a guide when I was really stuck. But even blind I never ran into any progression problems. The game has multiple paths, so you're encouraged to replay the game. As for feeling underpowered remember even in Bloodlines Bertram Tung says to fear vampire hunters. That is basically what SAD is soldiers working for the church. Also remember the fledgling in Bloodlines was being fed vampire blood by possibly Caine. Augmenting the fledgling's power.

ACV
Got through and started the battle of Paris.
Which was kind of a tough little battle to get through emotionally. Nice set piece but the main emotional weight of it was Sigfried killing of the innocents of the church, women and children, basic war crime kind of stuff. He doesen't really pay for it but it is good background for a lot of what happens later on in the DLC. So, Eivor decides to go off and try ONE MORE TRY at peace. This time trying to get Odo to surrender. Odo doesen't go for it and fights me, Eivor beats him within an inch of his life, and he relents when Charles shows up to discuss peace.
From here there is a lot of interesting RP nuggets to have and a lot of difficult decisions to have which does make this DLC very worth it. See like last time I actually really like both the DLC for AC Vahalla, probably more overall then the DLC packs for Odyssey which were kind of crap except for the few moments with the Persians and also the one with Hades. But here the main packs before we got to the weirndness with the Odin stuff does hit really well. Kind of messes up the RP potential at times, but I guess more on that.
So first off Charles comes in and offers peace 'I make you lord, I give you silver, you call me king, we have peace.' You get the RP choice here to give Sigfried advice on what to do and I say that I don't trust Charles and Eivor rightly points out that Charles could just stab him in the back which is true because Charles will likely stab everyone in the back. Toka does point out we don't have the forces to take on all of Frankia anyways so Sigfried decides to accept the deal which is fine since other characters should make their own decisions anyways...although later. But then Charles now wants Bernard who is safe in Viking custody at this point. Well I tell him to go pound sand knowing full well this could torpedo the peace, but as I have made very clear at this point in time I do NOT trust Charles and at this point he is a disgustign human being.
THough we get back to camp and Sigfriend ends up being the problem because despite saying how tired and listless he is feeling over all of this stuff he kind of gives inot the temptation for war lust and everything else which does kind of make sense but he is continuing to be a problem. So again the choice comes up on whether or not to kill him or not and this is another defining moment in RP history for my characters, though again with a lot of help from the auto dialogue. This Eivor has been fairly murder lusty then the last one at this point but given what he saw in 'Vahalla' and given what he said to Odo that he doubts that this is the best way to die and how everyone was screaming for their mommies. So, yeah, basically does decide to spare Sigfried and let him go off, sure its what I did last time but it does really work though chagrinned by the auto dialogue aspects. Still really liking the Eivor I am playing now because he is actually a pretty complicated character, I THINK, in comparison to the last one as I keep harping about but this confirmed it since I am pretty sure that Fem Eivor decided pretty early on that she wasn't into the whole murder pride thing so had a lot more of a flatter arc. Bit chagrinned that again my second playthrough ends up being the more 'canon' one. Though we'll see how alternative play throughs work out if I run through the game again.
All this is interesting set up though for the last two RP choices to discuss in the game. Number 1 Odo calls me and says Richardis is probably in trouble and that Eivor should investigate. But he then sweetens the pot by saying 'you know Eivor Charles is a threat, you should kill him, and when I get the throne because of killing him then you will have a friend who won't bother you in England.' Now I remembered this choice from the previous game but keeping in mind the above still went through 'not going to make any promises' which Eivor of course goes much harder on that option then he should've...but he raises a point. Odo can't make that promise per se. And this does expose him as a political schemer rather then a man of honor. So I get to saving Richardis from being burned at the stake and now she pleads with me to spare Charles, that she can keep him at a priest hood until Bernard is ready to assume the throne. Now keeping the above in mind and the fact that I do NOT trust Charles this was a tough 'choice' to make, though if memory serves you do get the actual choice later, but I did tell her I would spare him. Afterall Eivor really hasn't been out for blood this time and while I do kind of like Odo I think France would be more stable under Richardis and Bernard and I kind of pissed Odo off to so...Odo may remember that. At least if this were a proper RPG and not a fictional recreation of history.
God of War Ragnarok
Something a bit ironic happened today. As I have mentioned I tend to get lost easily on stuff when games don't give clear directions all the time. And this game is especially bad about this so far since it didn't have a mini map or any real way of telling where objectives were. Well ironically I got to a point in the game where it gave me a 'compass' and now have objectives and directions at the top of the screen. Odd design choice making something like that discoverable.
So did get lost twice esentially. First time ran around in circles around this little village area in the city. Atreus kept on saying 'there is something here' or 'I see something' but didn't really point it out. Finally figured out his new sonic arrows could blow up the cart which was blocking a path. Second, went out the wrong door essentially when I met Durlin was supposed to leave through the *back* of his ship.
Other then tried turning but the difficulty. That lasted exactly like one major fight though. Forgot how much the disparity was in level one and level two characters in this game.

In ancient times every nation was brutal upon their enemies. Even the civilized ancient Romans committed genocide on the Carthaginians and various Germanic tribes. As for the Viking Siegfried, in real life there was another Viking who was ridiculed and named Child Lover by his comrades because he refused to kill babies.

This kind of stuff is fascinating as all hell for me. I am/ was a mega history buff and I keep on thinking to myself 'I need to look into the real world history of these games and see what I can learn' Of course I haven't really gotten around it but the socialogly and the history of these games has always been fascinating to me.

I'm completely unfamiliar with WoD beyond these two games - are vampires not "much, much" stronger than humans in the lore? In WoD the strength of the vampire depends on how many generations that vampire is distanced from Cain. If the generations are too much (not sure the number, but was it 14-15), then the vampire is hardly different in strength than an average human. Those are the thin bloods you met on the beach in Bloodlines.
The first few generations are essentially gods in terms of power. The next few generation are also incredibly powerful, but I think it starts slowing down around the 6th or 7th gen, who are among the last that retain some glimpses of feeling like super vampires. The top of the food chain vampire that we are used to (Dracula, etc) has the power of probably the 6th generation.
Leysha and Emem are 12th generation, which is close to the bottom of the power chain. Galeb is 10th generation, so he is significantly more powerful than the other two protagonists, but not exactly a top dog.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

So after surviving those desert ruins and a night in a cave, we get to where Cere is alongside a special guest oh, we then head towards another section of Jedha:

Basedof fthe recent cover it sounds ;like they'll be dading the German and Spanish women's leagues to go alongside the WSL,NWSL and Arkema they gave us in Fifa 23 which is good. That'll be good as that'l lmean I'll be able to use Georgia Stanway this year in my women's club saves given she plays in German yfor Bayern Munich. I've often found her useful when playin gwith the Lionesses/England team.
