ACV
Basically finished up with the Siege of Paris. And there was no way of working things out and Charles was destined to die and Odo was destined to be King. Once more really need to look up the history here. And Toka was destined to become the leader of the Norse too I guess.
Its kind of funny though because the two games that I am kind of was flipping between the two games deal with a lot of the same themes with murder, revenge, and the ties of blood...because Richardis is just like 'how dare you kill my husband who was trying to kill you! You are not the person I thought you are! Murderer!' So that was dissapointing. Understandable though because love and religion does tend to set up a situation where she would be prepared to forgive Charles a lot easier. And I'm with it because I believe in redemption to, just yikes. Also that boss fight sucked but I figured out 'wait he doesen't like fire...I have fire weapons...stab!'
And we get one more awkward cutscene with awkward not!Randvi and that is pretty much it for this run of AC Vahalla.
God of War Ragnarok
So really struggled through a boss fight on the difficulty level above story so that's fun. So my first objective was to upgrade my gear which I did. And the gear system in this is a bit interesting since you level your character by upgrading your gear, not your actual skills, which I normally hate but its kind of interesting its a slow slog to do so. Like a D&D campaign I guess. Not sure that makes it better.
And more puzzle struggle. Got to the first thing with the three runes to open a chest...which couldn't find the third thing so that was fun. More struggles down in the Tyr mine...for lack of a better term...which was fun.

I did battle with the EA App, but lost. Doesn't look like I'll be playing any Mass Effect games any time soon. Fortunately DragonAge Origins is DRM free, so I can still play that. i.imgur.com/BYlVmYB.jpgI can't sign in to my Origin account. Your x#@%In App removed it from my computer! Edit: Strangely enough, I can launch DragonAge 2 and it doesn't even start the EA App (dodged a bullet there.) i.imgur.com/lvVNiPC.jpgMass Effect 2 launched alright... i.imgur.com/bg4DTQ3.jpgEven if it re launched itself after I shut it down. Mass Effect launched after asking for administrator privileges... i.imgur.com/Va7Vk4a.jpgBut the image was so oversized I couldn't select any options, they were off screen. Andromeda started, but I had no saved games. I made a new Ryder, and thought I was taking screenshots of her, but after I exited, all the screenshots just showed Press Alt and F2 to access Ansel. So it looks like it's only ME3 I'm locked out of. (thanks EA for that)

Legends of Heroes Trails of Zero Wrapped up the nightmare run. True boss was Nepenthes G encounter. Armored Hydra gets an honorable mention. Guess the real final bosses first form was also a bit tricky. Ng dungeon boss fight was just silly since I had a drain magic quarts so their stunlock nuke damage ended up just healing Elie. Would've cried without it.
Then wrapped up the last three achivo’s today. Ended up doing a third run on easy with a lot of skipping, since the only save I had where I could nudge Elie into being the bond partner was on the nightmare run and didn’t fancy dealing with that again. Especially since I also had the complete the game at level 40 or less left and underleveled nightmare sounds like a real pain. And then had 3 hours ‘till the 100 hours achivo mark so that was an easy grab this way.
Kinda disappointed they still get drinks if they don’t grab the lemonade, but then again, there is a vending machine by the table so guess it would be dumb to complain about being parched. Also ended up getting the Randy wake up scene again and too lazy to backtrack. Did take Elie to the auction and got her final bonding event, which was very cute.
All in all really enjoyed myself.

After trying to push my playthrough yet again, I decided to give up on Fire Emblem Engage. I'm not really that into the story and while I like some characters, I don't have it in me to push thru boring parts just for those few interactions with them. Especially when I'm not really liking combat either. Sure, it's your pretty much typical FE combat, but I really, really dislike Engage system. I think realising this was the final straw for me So instead I started another playthrough of Persona 5 Strikers. Time to turn Joker into cooking master... again

VtM: Swansong Finished. I think it would have been very good as a 'movie' with just a few tweaks. Didn't hit any progression block, so that was good. Satisfying enough end, although I completely missed the opportunity to uncover the identity of the Court traitor. Just in case; Leysha died before reaching Halsey. Stupid werewolf that Galeb released to clear out the SAD guards did her in.
Emem chose to leave the Camarilla - I was leaning towards the Anarchs until 'the plan' wiped them out, so she was 100% done with the Courts shit. A good time. But niche enjoyment, I think. Not a broad appeal, which is a shame.

Ugh...I hate vampyres...damnable things Where's the sunlight and holy water when you need it?
Aside from the whole fiasco...I did get a few new things done...but if the game is about fighting Lilith, how come we're mostly just fighting Hydra and vampyres...this game makes my head hurt (and I'm even playing on the lowest difficulty, so why is it still so hard? )

GW2 My Sylvari ranger defeated Caudecus and that fight nearly broke me. That was a hard one to be sure. After that, she had to mourn another loss. After that, she visited Taimi in her lab to see how the plan to draw out the dragons goes. We had a visitor and - surprise - it was the fucking God of War. Other than that, I'm desperately refreshing the BG3 forum for news atm. Tehre is so much new stuff and I can't wait until August 3rd.

But yea hthe vamps are tough given they do bleed damage every time they strike. The best method of dealing wit hthem is use AOE abilties like Bladestorm. Storm has a AOE ability as well whicfh I thin kis called V|ortex which is quite useful. also if possible take ou tthose Hemaliscs as that'll stop the vamps from regenerating. But yeah the DLC levels are tougher thab the main game quests My advice is wait until you at least reach Act 2 and give yoursel ftim eto level up befoer doing parts 2 and 3 of each of the DLC as I think the second and 3rd parts were designed to be played latre in the game based on how hard they are. As part 1 of eac hof the DLC's aren' t too bad it's really 2 and 3 where it really cranks up

I'm completely unfamiliar with WoD beyond these two games - are vampires not "much, much" stronger than humans in the lore? In WoD the strength of the vampire depends on how many generations that vampire is distanced from Cain. If the generations are too much (not sure the number, but was it 14-15), then the vampire is hardly different in strength than an average human. Those are the thin bloods you met on the beach in Bloodlines.
The first few generations are essentially gods in terms of power. The next few generation are also incredibly powerful, but I think it starts slowing down around the 6th or 7th gen, who are among the last that retain some glimpses of feeling like super vampires. The top of the food chain vampire that we are used to (Dracula, etc) has the power of probably the 6th generation.
Leysha and Emem are 12th generation, which is close to the bottom of the power chain. Galeb is 10th generation, so he is significantly more powerful than the other two protagonists, but not exactly a top dog.
This is interesting most of my knowledge comes from the Redemption and Bloodlines games, and the knowledge from those games are based on an old VTM ruleset which is now outdated. The only things I knew for certain was Caine was the first and most powerful vampire. The Antediluvians were his grandchildren and 3rd generation and powerful as heck, since everyone in Bloodlines except Beckett feared them returning, and lastly I know that thin-bloods were the weakest.

Not a broad appeal, which is a shame. Congratulations I had a similar ending to yours my first time and I never found out who the traitor was. Luckily you can redo the levels which is why did so... with Galeb I used Domination on the female Malkavian to help me escape. Of course by doing this I never freed Galeb's childe Berel. In this retry since there was no werewolf Leysha survived and with Emem I joined the Anarchs. I suggest redoing that last mission. What was Galeb's fate in your ending? Both times I was able to break the Priests faith, thus making him lose his power and killing him.

Legends of Heroes Trails to Azure Started the game proper. Was going to be brave and start on hard, but then backtracked with that when I remembered a certain boss. And how he trounced me in the first run. So yeah. Normal it is. Am planning on going in mostly blind and try to accept that I will both miss out of DP points and absolutely mess up the combat. So that’s fun.
Was delighted to see Kevin again. Had been wondering if they’d swept that acid trip of a game under the rug and am pleased to find out that no, that happened. Whatever that was. I just remember the weird dimension, the gist of his trauma and hand crossbows. Kinda sad you couldn’t chill a bit in Altair. Spotted a neat pizza place and an npc I was curious about. Alas, Crossbell it is.
Did have a nice time trekking around Crossbell and saying hi to all the old buddies. Got the cooking book as well and some recipes. This time I’ll feed the statue and am also curious if I start with the nightmare run, if they’ll reference that I fed it good that time.
Was delighted to see Abbas' new portrait. And that smile is just amazing. Less delighted to see Michel’s portrait (always pictured him more feminine) but still, very, very handsome. And that wink is gorgeous.
Ended the session on a rather sour note. I do enjoy perverts in games and find the teasing amusing, but do draw the line at groping and when the victim is genuinely feeling bad. Frustrated can be funny, in tears not so much . Lloyd cut his off fairly quick so it wasn’t that bad but the scene with Elie dragged on way too long. And it ending with her dropping on her knees in tears while the team cracks jokes. Minus points for everyone in the room except Elie.
Still really enjoyed the session outside of that so will pick it up again. If only to give KeA that odd cushion I found.

So finished Kadar almost in totality yesterday only have to go back for part of PB's LM. Let Sloane live and yes I regretted it immediately due to her dialogue and chatting to her afterwards. I am sure it is the wrong decision, post saving her there are so many comments from NPC's re the Collective having been a positive influence, even Drack thinks saving Sloane was a mistake. Vetra whoever you save basically says watch your back. I have let Sloane live before but have never shot Reyes in the back before, felt bad about that and got guilted out by his email. Christmas Tate didn't seem to happy about the situation either but told me his Shotgun was loaded. Then off to The Nexus, Night lived and Alain got a job with Dr. Aridana etc. Checked some memories, chased down Jien's murder, picked up Contagion and Ruth took a bullet couldn't have that stuff spreading plus she's a whiner. Got a distress call from Eos and answered said distress and kicked Akksul's butt. Found PB's rem tech. Installed MSI Afterburner for GPU monitoring etc. and am using that for Screenshots and video now as it and FRAPS were not playing nice together sharing space on my screen, one or the other kept disappearing!!! Pic's Peek a boo So much info. Sorry Ruthy

Well after much reading of similar complaints, I finally got ME3 working by deleting the C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EA Services\License folder. Of course by then it was 1am and I didn't feel like playing. i.imgur.com/esBtjtF.jpg

Two LS3 episodes done. I dealt with an exploding Bloodstone in the jungle and avoided a lavatatroph on Ember Bay.
I can already tell I'm not going to be pass LS5 before BG3 release on PC. I don't really mind, but I'm getting distracted trying to find all the news on BG3 and just waiting for it to release.

God of War Ragnarok.I do so love the Dwarf brothers in this game. Probably the best characters. Level design was a bit hinky to start off with since me jumping off an area just looped around to the beginning. And I guess it didn't even start out in that direction was to like 'get out' either as in some systems. Though I think it may've bene a situation where turning one way led me to the next part where I needed to go. Also looked up a solution with the PS Hints for one of the puzzles which didn't help out too much but it did help out enough where I was able to solve it. I guess just building up the puzzle mechanics we have been learning from the beginning, making it gradually more complicated. Combat wise ran into a dragur boss down in the mines which got me a couple of times. I think I need to learn how to parry more then dodge at times, as long as I don't get it too bad, considering though learning the mechanics over time and again trying to keep in mind all the contextual abilities which I guess is thing number 2 to keep in mind because some of them do actually do a lot of damage. Fun tactic though using the axe to freeze one guy then whipping out the blades of chaos to pummel another guy. Tactics tactics. The game also introduced a new enemy type with new abilities. Bifrost attack. Apparently it hits you but then it can make you explode somehow for damage. Don't think I got exploded so I didn't see any effects of that. The Search for TyrSo found Tyr!
First level interesting again seeing comparisons between this and Vahalla since in that game Tyr was always portrayed as a Odin loyalist even despite loosing his arm. I guess we didn't get fully into the Ragnarok thing but in this he is in prison...despite still having his arm.
And it was some of the most intense sequences of the game to this point, as well as funniest, because Tyr didn't exactly believe we were here to do him any favors because he knew Kratos, if only by reputation. And then when he whipped out the decapitated head of Mimir he assumed we did said decapitation and killed him because he thinks he is hearing things and has gone insane. So was seperated from Artreus as he went after him and Kratos was swarmed so had to cut my way through a lot of bad guys.
Caught up with Tyr and as Mimir put it later, man is broken unfortanatley. Which is sad. Because he really does not want to lead a war against Odin and fight. Which there is a lot of great commentary on war in this game so far and Kratos eluding to how strength does not really win a war and is not what judges you.
Of course us setting Tyr free also got the attention of Odin's forces so they landed in force in Svalterheim which forced us to flee which was interesting because I still had side quests and chests to guess...wonder if I can go back? Old FriendsI got to play as Atreus! This was really cool! Combat! And I got to see Jormangandur again!
Neat.
I guess not a lot to talk about but Jormandandur is still amazing and powerful on screen. He mentioned something about Ironwood. And even though this quest started off by us looking for Freya we headed back home afterwards so, not really a surprise, but Freya later. And its always like dog perking up everytime Artreus says Loki and asking these people about it, but even in the snake language.
But the main draw of the above which I suppose will spoil some of it but not too much... Artreus's combat is a really nice change of pace and this game's combat has really now gone up to like eleven for me. There was something always a little hinky with the Kratos bit of the combat which was hard to put my finger on it. Maybe a little try hard, maybe focus on weak spots though even then just realized not much, some tactics there. But Artreus uses a bow...and everyone knows how much I like my bows. Speicifically though he does that Arrow thing where he can bash people over the head with the bow with his melee light and heavy attacks and the stun finishers like Kratos has his axe...Artreus has his bow. Hope we get more of this to because there is this neat move which I'm not sure just happens or something I need to do where Artreus knocks them down and then fires an arrow shot point blank range. Oh and also light and strong arrow shots when you are aiming down with 'L2'. But then thinking about this for Dreadwolf since in the back of my head just wondering how they will handle rogue/ archer melee combat. Because ideally it'd work like Odyssey/ Vahalla but given how DA has worked that might not be much of a possibility. In DA 2 archer rogues pulled out the 'murder knife' and engaged in close range combat with kicks and flips for supplement and Inquisiton the Inquisitor was stuck using their bow and no melee combat at all. So just thinking if you can't switch weapons like in Origins or the Assassins Creed games how it would look and work like with the parry function to and I think I now have a potential baseline for that. Trouble is given things...well no I guess its possible they did look at Ragnarok since the game is almost a year old now...

Managed to win both the Swedish league and cup in m ydebut season and in fact managed to go the whole season winning every game so picked up the max 90 points. Probabl ygoing t ocrank the difficultyup fo rnext season even though next season will bemoer of a challenge given I'll have European football to contend with. I plan to do another couple of seasons in Sweden before I move on though and try to find something moer challenging.

Beckett is a bit weird in the setting as he plays the role of a reverse "tinfoil hat" guy. He is a 7th gen vampire, meaning one of the most powerful that still roam openly. He has witnessed plenty of magic and supernatural, but insists that all the lore, prophecies and legends should be explained logically and as if there never were vampires and magic. And just about everything that Becket denies turns out to be real. Caine exists, the Antediluvians exist and either wake up or have been secretly among us, etc.

Marvel's Midnight Suns
Ugh...I hate vampyres...damnable things Where's the sunlight and holy water when you need it?
Aside from the whole fiasco...I did get a few new things done...but if the game is about fighting Lilith, how come we're mostly just fighting Hydra and vampyres...this game makes my head hurt (and I'm even playing on the lowest difficulty, so why is it still so hard? ) Well Hydra are actuall yworking wit hLillith as for the Vampyre infestation you'll find out why that's hapening as you work through the DLC missions as it's a secondary story. As part 1 of eac hof the DLC's aren' t too bad it's really 2 and 3 where it really cranks up Thanks for the advice...I really hate those things
Think I'll wait 'till Act 2 then to get to those missions

Not a lot revealed in the EA sports FC reveal outside of what was already rumoured but they did confirm that both the German Women's Bundesliga and the Spanish Womens League are coming to this years game and that if you order the Ultimate Edition you'll get a weeks worth of early access. If I get selected for Beta testing and I like it lke I di dlast yea rthen I ma yge tthe more expensive version but we'll see. I think the first deep dive goes up tomorrow on the new gam es owe'll see. I like the fact the 're ading a couple more womens leagues as the womens leagues make for a nice distraction when I wantt otake a break from career mode but I'll admit I was hoping for more details but I guess they're saving those for the deep dives. I'll be picking i tup on the Xbox either way it's just a question of whic hversion atm for me atm i tlooks like the deep dives will likely decide that.

GW2I'm at the point in the story where I want to punch Braham...and it's going to last for, hmm, a long time. But I also won't see much of him for...a long time. Two more episodes in LS3 before starting Path of Fire. I guess I'll get to do that this weekend, now sure I have enough time to finish PoF this weekend thought, I got RL stuff to do. Something a bit weird too, I finished the Bitterfrost episode and then started the next one and my female Charr sounded a bit different, but she technically doesn't change VO until LS4 War Eternal episode. So I'm confused right now. Maybe the voice actress had a cold that day or something.

Beckett is one of the most interesting characters in Bloodlines, and one of the most trustworthy according to the thin-blood Rosa. But yeah for all of his trying to disprove that an antediluvian was in LA, he fell into the paranoia that was going around the kindred.

So did Jaal's LM on Havarl as I was there to pick up another PB Rem Tech piece. Did Cora's LM kept all the stuff re Sarissa a secret, hopefully locked in Cora's romance Sarissa threw this guy out the airlock, Jaavik would have approved Did Liam's LM and played it mostly serious and gave Liam a hard time, makes me feel bad and isn't as funny Went to Voeld and did the Angaran Heskaarl trials and kicked ass.

I made a new Solona Amell. She's going to make the ultimate sacrifice, so I can try out a new mod that carries over the dead warden's world state, with a new Orlesian warden. i.imgur.com/U8WPv5r.jpgAnd here she is, ready to face the harrowing. i.imgur.com/q375f1I.jpg
