I learned to stand clear of Jade Armor a long time ago and to deal with their breakbar asap. Also, "counter magic" skill that popup is super important during all Living World 3 (first entry in Ancient Magic mastery, should be unlocked while doing Bloodstone Fen). It's 100% counter Spectral Agony (big damage) from the Jade Armor and can be used in a few story boss fights. But there is way too much knockbacks from enemies/environmental in LS3. Trying to stack some stability helps, but my current build is crap at generating that buff, so I got knocked around like a pinball a lot . I had no issue dealing with that on my Harbinger thought, healing on condition damage is great because condition damage continue ticking when you don't attack. I'm not sure, if my Soulbeast is ideal for the story, she was my first character so I did the story with her. I think my mechanist and harbinger might fare better, but it is as it is now. I took a Soulbeast through everything and part of Path of Fire a few years ago. It's more demanding than the "low intensity" class/espec like Mechanist or the Necros, but it should technically deal more damage. You could look at Lord Hizen solo build videos on Youtube for your Soulbeast, maybe you can tweak your build. I based my last 3 characters on his builds. I'm not making perfect copies, because gear/runes/sigils are sometimes expensive, but even using his build as inspiration usually turn out something quite survivable with great damage.

Thanks for the tip, I look into that. The damage is not bad imo. I use a bit more defensive skills against the bosses. That helps with survivability.

Pillars of Eternity
Finished White March Part 1 & 2 for the first time. I found a post on Reddit that said it's best to do them before the end of act 2 and do them one after the other and I see why (the one after the other part, at least). It really feels like they flow very well from one into the next, to the point where I wonder why they are split and not together in one single DLC. There probably is a reason beyond just "sell thing twice instead of once".
While they each were good experiences, I feel that if they were together in a single DLC it would have worked better. Part 1 feels pretty disjointed because it's setup for what comes later and Part 2 feels very short because it has a laser focused plot. Part 2 also has that strange mine portion that feels like it belongs in Part 1. The Motherplant from Sims 4 took a vacation from Strangerville into the frigid north to mind-control a bunch of anthropomorphic spider people who, in turn, mind-controlled a bunch of miners. In terms of themes and plot threads, this doesn't fit with the Ondra-Abydon-Eyeless mystery of Part 2 and fits more with the Part 1 endeavors of getting Stalwart to become self sufficient.
As for the Eyeless, I'm a bit torn. I wish they were used more as enemies, especially after their reveal in the Raedceran camp, but I'm also happy they weren't overused to trivialize them. I did like I got the chance to stick it to Ondra by telling them to basically become what Abydon meant them to be once more. That watery tart deserves a good punch in the mouth. She screws everything up by interfering, then doesn't lift a finger to undo her mistakes because she's not supposed to interfere so "here mortal, do the thing I'm supposed to be doing and also die along the way to be forgotten because I still need to win". What a piece of work!
Devil of Carroc and Maneha are cool but I don't get Zahua. I didn't get his quest to trigger, might be a bug on my end or I still need to do something, but so far I don't like him. He just talks about getting high and romanticizes suffering like he wants to be a Buddhist but it just comes off a bit tone deaf.

God of War RagnarokReally not much to say here. Probably not fully invested tonight and well discovered that side quests apparently come with their own puzzles and stuff. So yey, joy. Though in this case, kind of weird here sometimes the spoiler or not spoiler thing going on here but there was some neatness here in this section of the game. Since we are in Alfheim well, to put it as unspoilery as possible, we basically saw the return of some of the puzzles including the bell time out puzzle type and the whole Dark Elf over growth stuff that you have to break off with your axe. Fun part too just before I put it away was struggling for awhile on one and then saw a bomb to get through part of it and Artreus was like 'hey that bomb could help' *sigh*. Useful. But did advance a few more inches. The Secrets of GroaSo I thought we were done here but oh no, not by a long shot as it turns out though most of that is my failure with the whole puzzles of course!
But lo and behold we get to fight the Dark Elves again now. This makes a lot of thematic sense given the whole thing and helps reinforce Artreus's lessons and his growing discomfort at things.
And it was also fun since Tyr was all like 'duces' as soon as we got to the Mystic Gateway. WHich is a lot fun too since this game actually branched here, Artreus and Kratos could continue on to explore, find thematic lessons, and pursue the above side quest that I was talking about which is a rather neat gameplay development.

So right after completing things in that Lunar Outpost (story related) we go and seek to acquire things we missed. Then we had towards Jedha and explore the desert for items as we head towards an objective:

GW2I fought inside a volcano and inside an ancient reliquary. LS2 episodes are done, I can start Path of Fire now...and get my fur singed more. I almost died in the last boss fight, I forgot about the "barrage" attack and rushed right into it. I'm too used to Necromancer Shroud eating damage, but it's not the case on Harbinger. I have to wonder the wisdom of the Shining Blades, the protector of the human Queen, taking a Charr into their upmost ranks too. I'm also thinking of switching to Reaper, because I have a bad habit of backwalking while attacking with Harby and it's not good for my hand/wrist. I'm feeling the discomfort, if it gets more painful I'll have to stop playing for a while. BG3 being turn-based + mouse click based won't cause issues thought (thanks the Gods!). I need to keep in mind that I have to face-thank and play melee despite using a pistol.

Diablo 4
Finished Act 2 of the main story, still working on side quests in the area before moving on to Act 3. I definitely won't be through the whole campaign before Season 1 starts on 7/20. If the rest of the acts are as big as 1 and 2 I'll be lucky to finish by the end of the month.

Just continuing p;laying Fifa 23 and keeping an eye out for more FC24 news given that's what the game is going to be called now. I did hear a rumour the commentar yteam mqa ybe changin but I don't know if it's jus tfor the Ultimate Team stuff or the whole game as I heard the yma ybe bringing Guy Mowbray from BBC's Match of the Day on alongside Sue Smith a female commentator. That would b e a step up on Dere kRae though as before he showed up on Fifa in Fifa 19 I'd never heard of him. Whereas all the other commentators Fifa has had I'd heard before they got involved with Fifa. As I knew John Motson who wa stheir firs tas he was one of Match of the Day's most well known commentators Clive Tyldsley worked for both BBC on MOTD and did Champion's League commentary for ITV as well and Martin Tyler I knew from Sk ySports as he used to cover a lot of their Super Sunda ymatches but I'd never heard of Derek Rae befoe rhe cam eto Fifa apparentl yh eworked somewhere on radio reports and suc hbut tha twas all I was able to find ou tabout him. He's an OK commentato rbut no ton the sam elevel as those wh ocame befoer him. So if it's true I'm gla dthey're replacing him.

GW2I changed my gear to go Power!, because Reaper is more setup for power damage over conditions...and I've been running around with Harbinger in power gear/spec to see how well it goes. It works better for open world mobs than the condi version, but it's a lot more action per minutes than Reaper still. I started Path of Fire, inspecting Forged's camps right now.

Triss has her charms, but like you say she is very young compared to Geralt, whereas Yen is much closer to his age (maybe even older...?Ā Not sure, but closer definitely). At the end of the books, Triss would be at least 100, so older than Geralt, who was about 85, and Yennefer 10 to 16 years older than Triss, but no more. Their relationship is a bit messed up - inherent power imbalances will do that fairly often - but, in the games at least, the mere fact that she went to the effort of finding out if what they had was real means that she's a genuine partner for him. Yes, by Witcher 3 she clearly loved him, but for the previous 30 years they had known each other, she was just using him. I think the important part of all this is that he loved her anyway. He knew exactly what she was and he loved her anyway. He was complicit in his own use. I can't forgive Triss for trying to steal his affections while he had memory lapse. Triss used him but Geralt was consenting to that use while not knowing himself or his history- but she did know his history of loving Yenn and still she did it. Maybe it's because in the games, I play as Geralt so "I'm" the one being used and take it more personally. UNRELATED:I took a break from romantic visual novels to binge two romantic animes - one of which is getting a romantic visual novel sequel where you can actually put her together with one of her harem. I feel like the anime thus far only sees Keith, Nicol and Prince Geordo as real options for her as much as these shows try not to pick favorites. They waffle on whether Sofia loves her as just a best friend or sexually. Maria seems practically asexual but romantically into her. Mary is full Sappho. And Prince Ian is the forgotten male love interest who seems to be fine with being forgotten. It's be hard to pick 1 of the 3. I think she's always found Nicol attractive, which is saying a lot for her denseness if interest in romance for herself. But the Prince has made the most moves, since they've been engaged since childhood and feels safe to do so. But she's said multiple times that she isn't royalty material and she would find being prince consort to be stifling so I just feel like those concerns are valid. #2, Keith is her precious "brother". They are very distantly related cousins. In her mind, she's not even from this game world so she's not related to anyone. I don't mind the "blood relation" but I do mind them being raised together. At least from her perspective, it does seem that she absolutely sees him as a brother but he never saw her that way. But she seems in one episode to apparently seek him out for all validation of her activities, to me this is not a sibling thing to do. Her actions don't bely what few thoughts she has on the Matter (she has so little contemplation of romance in any of her monologues.) do get a bit frustrated in the second season with how the equivalent of a 25 year old woman in a 17+ lady's body who reads as many romance novels as she does is so naive but š¤·š»āāļø anyway, the least problematic seems to be Nicol- she doesn't have to act like royalty and she has always found him beautiful which is the closest to attraction I've seen her have. But it will be a video game so I'll get to pair her up with a couple folks and see who I like best.

Geralt went to talk to Emyhr about sending his troops to help protect Ciri from the Hunt, but they agreed to disagree on the best way to keep her safe. Then it was off to Spikeroog to help Cerys cure Udalryk of his curse. Having done this at least 3 times before, I was tempted to not trick the Hym, but fight it instead, but I want Cerys to be queen, and I think using the trick is one of the requirements..? Afterwards, went off to find Hjalmar and help him with the giant. Usually when I do this, I just follow the blood trail from the town and find Hjalmar and that's that. This time, I went back to find his camp. There was a blood trail leading away from the camp, which I followed (assuming it would link up with the one from the town). It didn't, and, for the first time since I don't know when - I experienced new (to me) content in TW3.... This guy was getting cooked by trolls, and Geralt had to win a battle of wits to free him. He seems very sensible...which is not a common trait among Skelligans.

Cleared the map on Elaaden now to deal with Overlord Morda and her clans stupid requests. Looking forward to the epic fight scene though between Morda and ... Helped Nora get her Thruster back and noticed she inherits Sara's features if you look closely enough: Sara are more intense due to the MOD for the face that I use but you can see the same freckles, eyebrows etc. Got the bug fighting Axius to get the Thruster/Catalyst where everyone except him is friendly even the Adhi!!! Hello aren't you supposed to be shooting at me?? Pet Adhi? Poor old Axius didn't even get a chance to finish speaking Don't drink the home brew. Did Drack's LM, didn't let Aroane fall

I think the important part of all this is that he loved her anyway. He knew exactly what she was and he loved her anyway. He was complicit in his own use. Perhaps... or perhaps he just thought he did, because of the Djinn's magic? I can't forgive Triss for trying to steal his affections while he had memory lapse. Triss used him but Geralt was consenting to that use while not knowing himself or his history- but she did know his history of loving Yenn and still she did it. She was using Geralt to help her form alliances with Leuvarden and the Merchants Guild.( Something the former neutral Geralt wouldn't have done. ) But she wasn't using him for sex. Geralt clearly loved Triss before she charmed him at Kaer Morhen. His conversation with her, when he met her again after thinking she had died in Soddon shows that. Second, by the time Geralt lost his memory, Triss believed as everyone else did, that Yennefer had died two years earlier. Should he be left celibate forever? This is Geralt we're talking about, after all

Marvel's Spiderman Remastered
I put the difficulty on story. Controls are definitely meant for a controller. It's a little awkward on the KB but not horribly so I'm going to stick to MKB.
Combat is ok. I wish Spidey could web pull distant mobs. The only thing he can web pull are items to swing and throw at mobs. That he can crawl everywhere helps. š
The combos are going to be a little confusing and difficult to remember. At least plenty of time are given for QTEs.
Swinging around the city is fun. š
Spidey put Fisk away and is off to his next assignment.

But I'm hoping at some poin tthis year I will. But yeah I remember controls hav ealways been a bit awkward in Spiderman games eve nbefoer Insomniac. Spidreman games despite being fun to swing around in have never really had easy controls.Yuri at leas tin the Midnight Suns game does a great job voicing him at least. Speaking of Fifa 23. Rihgt now I can preorder FC24 for 10% off because I own Fifa 23 and after hearing about som eof the changes they're making I'm seriously tempted to take that up as that would save me Ā£10. Payin gĀ£10 less and getting a weeks head start on my first career would be really nice considering how expensive th egame is at full price. But I heard that offer expires at some point in August so will need t omake my call fairl yquick if I'm going to go for it. Will probabl ydecide after the key reveals I do know they plan on doing gamepla yand career reveals befoer the end o fthe month and given career is the mode I invest most time in that's what I want to know most about. I believe they're releasin gth gamepla yone on their youtube channel tomorrow which I guess means career wil l be next week as they've said both are being released in July. So while we are in the zone we go into a temple on Jedha currently under siege by the Empire. We acquire a gardener (who is heading to Koboh) and then we continue the prospect of cleaning the place over and boy is it big here:

GW2
I made it to the Desert Highland in Path of Fire. I'm also playing around my builds. Power Harbinger was super squishy, so as to keep inventory management to a minimum, I suited up for condi Reaper instead of power. I basically only need to swap the elite spec and weapon to switch between my Harby and Reaper condi build now. Not the most optimized, but I think it will do.

Hi. Never post here, only check up on here every several months, but this is what I'm up to.
Honkai: Star Rail - Keeping up with the game about the most that sub+battlepass players can. I'll have 8+ maxed characters/light cones this summer, and I'm very advanced in clearing endgame, just not obsessed over meta clearing. Only thing I'm really not especially focusing on is the relic (gear) grind, though maybe that's my Fall job as I start having 12 to 16ish strong characters that I might start caring about maxing out.
Genshin Impact - 3.8 has me on a bit of a break, and at this rate, I won't be buying the battle pass. However, I'll be trying hard to complete the gist of the summertime-exclusive event map, as usual. I've never actually 100%ed these events, but always did the story and a lot of the side content and exploration. In 2021 I had a friend help me out a lot with that, and 2022 I did almost everything on my own/with guides but ran out of time on the final weekend. But I'm too occupied/overwhelmed IRL this summer to believe I should be focused on this game overall.
Divinity: Original Sin - Yet again, I ..started the game recently then paused. Lets see if I can actually advance this game on my own, since I've kept trying in the past through co-op with a friend and that always stopped early. Maybe single player will go better. I'm not touching Baldur's Gate 3 until its past all its updates, and I've done at least one playthrough of BG1-2 and DOS 1-2 (and maybe older Divinity games) soo..
Final Fantasy IX + Moguri Mod - Yes! I think I'm into this. Going to try to do a near 100% of the game through guides (and tricks like an autoclicker - curse you jumprope minigame), then do the Excalibur II speedrun if I really want every achievement, then see if I want to clear up any missing bits or just do a lazier third run after (or both, depending on the missing achievements). Currently reaching the Ice Cave on 'Disk 1/4'. Mod makes things nice, and I've turned on 100% steal rate but that kinda breaks the game too much with some common enemies that drop Pheonix Pinions early on (well thank you for the revive + full HP/MP item, geez). Wish I could turn it on only for bosses. FFIX remake rumors triggered me to give this game a final shot (I've beat it at least a few times on Playstation, its my personal fav of the series).
I have other games on the phone that I'm down to mostly just logging in now, but I don't want to drop: Another Eden, Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent, Last Cloudia (the latter is mostly for the dopamine from free gacha pulls; no clue when I'll try to advance story and I've given up on events). Looking forward to Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis though.
Other games on PC, more on standby: Disciples Liberation, Marvel's Avengers (campaigns), Outriders (at least campaign), Remnant From the Ashes (w/friends), Dragon Age: Origins (w/mods, I'm past Ostagar), Dragon Quest XI demo (if I like it, I'll buy full on a SquareEnix sale), and I downloaded Ghostwire and Outer Worlds just to see.

Good to know though, thanks!

Marvel's Spiderman Remastered I put the difficulty on story. Controls are definitely meant for a controller. It's a little awkward on the KB but not horribly so I'm going to stick to MKB. Combat is ok. I wish Spidey could web pull distant mobs. The only thing he can web pull are items to swing and throw at mobs. That he can crawl everywhere helps. š The combos are going to be a little confusing and difficult to remember. At least plenty of time are given for QTEs. Swinging around the city is fun. š Spidey put Fisk away and is off to his next assignment. Enjoy - I really liked this one. They absolutely nailed the web swinging. Traversal isn't meant to be that much fun, but it was. The gadgets/web shooter upgrades are useful - and fun - once you're able to purchase them. The main story is really, really good, and well acted.
