More Skyrim, keep forgetting to take screenshots as I usually too busy trying to remember or figure out what to do. Did Meridia's quest, that was long and boring and took me some effort to remember the door to start it was just down and to the right. Of course I went in every other direction, the quest marker (s) are often no help. Dawnbreaker is worth it though. Retrieved Nettlebane for Danica Pure Springs and then went to the Eldergleam tree? forgot there was a way to do it that meant Astra didn't die so did it again and took Danica back a Sapling. Did some digging around for Fralia Grey Mane and found out the Thalmor were holding her son, went to do the rescue and tried four times to do it peacefully then decided I didn't care and killed lots of guards rescued whatever his name is then went back in and killed the rest of the guards. Did a few other things I came across. Back in Whiterun found my adopted kids (all three) wandering the streets which was cool so rewarded them at home with various sweet treats. Wandering the Wilderness with Lydia and Illia they are a good combo for combat Selfies

So her we are, we managed to tear up the Bounty Hunters standing in our way on Jedha (and they were a good number of them) and then acquire the last of the missing fishes so stay tuned:

Skyrim: Progressing through the Dawnguard questline. I hadn't played this before and I love how it gives me new environments to discover and explore. I just did the soul cairn stuff but my favorite was before, when I was discovering Blackreach. Love that massive cavern with the giant luminescent mushroom forest:

Baldurs Gate 3
Sorry, I ahven't posted here more. I played BG3 the last week and I really love the game. It is one of the best games, I ever played so far. I'm still in teh first act, but have a blast.
My character is a halfling lore bard/tomelock - full caster mode. I'm doing a good playthrough with her and she romances Shadowheart.
This is Mirabelle Layne: She did most of the Act 1 stuff, grabbed all companions and one later companion. Plus Scratch the dog and the owlbear baby are raising the cuteness facto rin my camp. ANd yes, she took Mintharas armor, because she looks much betetr in it (and Minthara has no need of it anymore anyway )

Fall out New Vegas (PC)One of the best introductions and openings in gaming. Does a great job of establishing mood, setting, all the factions you will be vieing for in there, and what you are doing. On that note to interesting that they also have so many people in Goodsprings already talking about basically the end game struggle at Hoover Dam, good world building and foreshadowing there. Didn't get too far into things, only as far as the beginning of Good Springs and about to face off against the Powder Gangers. I'm Courier Raylan, going to try playing him like his name sake , and was able to get most of the support I need. The gunplay, like in all FOs, is going to take a lot to get used to...or VATS. We'll just have to see.

The Expanse Episodes 1 and 2: - Decent representation of the series. Despite the minimalist visuals that we all know from Telltale games, one can definitely recognize the aesthetic of the series, even some set pieces. They also got some actors to voice their characters, which is cool. Also lot's of little nods to series characters in little things you can find (as is to be expected, I guess). - Good voice acting over all, decent characters and some interesting story so far.
On the negative side: - Both episodes were very short. You can do the first one in an hour, easy and the second one isn't much longer then that. - Gameplay: I didn't expect much of it from a telltale game but it's really very minimalist and most of the second episode is basically a repetition of the first with one little addition towards the end. Also, the exploration in zero-G is ok at best. There would have been lot's of potential for gun fights or the like but the game mostly is happy to remain a "floating simulator" with some QTEs and dialogue.
All in all, I am not super thrilled but at least the story is somewhat interesting, so that's good. Will wait until I am through every episode before I give a final verdict. Just, if you go for this, play it just for the story and be aware, it's short.

More Skyrim, got quite a few hours in yesterday but what is wearing me down is with every quest completed I seem to have picked up another 5. My journal now is almost as long as Tolkien's LoTR's!!!! And books I forgot how many damn books there are to read and you dare not not read them because they may boost your skills. Still not many pictures, one damn Draugr filled tomb looks much like another. Spent a fair bit of time fixing Annekke Crag-Jumper and her daughter Sylgia's quest and also Janessa the mercenary's quest and finished those and they have been my constant companions since. Even when I tell them to leave they don't. I have a MOD installed that allows to have multiple followers and unique created followers in various places can be recruited including some quest associated NPC's whom you can also romance and make marriable and bring on quests. talyn82 do you use the Follower Framework MOD? I cannot seem to get rid of them, that is I tell them we need to part ways and they say yep come find me if you need me but then they still keep following me around. Two of them I recruited I told them to stay in Breezehome but now they won't leave to follow me? Finally remembered to go see the Greybeards, I always have a problem with the running through the gate. I was excited to find a toy I could give to one of my adopted children and travelled a long way back to Whiterun to give it to one of them but couldn't find any of them anywhere!!!! Some pic's Another Word found Finally got some lessons I love you to Janessa Scenery on the way up the 7,000 steps

I will have a look at the set up guide I found and see what is happening a but a brief search showed it was not an uncommon issue. Not everyone's Skyrim is the same. I've never experienced that bug but there are many that do. Sometimes I'll experience a bug that is completely unique to me, and no knows what I'm talking about. This is due to the unpredictability of mods. In fact you never truly experienced Skyrim if you never ran into a bug. I remember when Skyrim first released and dragons flew backwards and mammoths fell from the sky lol. I'm just saying we all have our own unique experiences.

dazk I looked at your the mods listed in the collection you downloaded and it doesn't state it uses any follower management mod. Who are the followers affected by this bug? If everything fails try using console commands.

If everything fails try using console commands. It's Nethers Follower Framework Janessa and Annekke Crag Jumper cannot be dismissed. They say they'll go home or whatever but keep following me, I read his Guide to the MOD and it says it can be buggy, good thing I don't mind those two NPC's. I think there is a Console Command I can use but I am wary that it may cause more problems: Set PlayerFollowerCount to 0 So many glitches today and nothing to do with the MODS, Fast Travelled to Riverwood and everyone attacked as somehow, I had a 20,000 dollar fine?????? Then Delphine would not come to the room, had to reload 3 times for her to come see the Dragonborn in the room and a few others.

dazk don't know why you're experiencing so many bugs. Most mods now depend on the Unofficial Patch so it has to be apart of your collection, and I assume the creator of the collection tested the mod build before uploading it? Oh I think you said you bought the full Anniversary Edition? If so download the unofficial patch for the creation mods added. www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/18975

Skyrim: Finished the Dawnguard DLC. I really liked it. So many varied environments. I really like how they send you into these smaller world spaces. Ok, the soul cairn was a little drab but the valley of the vale was great. With the grasslands, frozen river and lake and the ravines. That much variety packed into a smaller little world made it almost feel like one of the old Gothic games. Great stuff. Some pics: Soul Cairn: Oh, forgot to mention, I also found the Aetherium Forge with Katria. Also a nice quest, I just read that this was apparently also added by Dawguard. First look at the valley of Auriel's vale: The icy river: The ravines with Falmer building their huts into it and connecting them with bridges: A glacial fissure hides an ice cave: And finally, we get a view of the Grand Sanctuary of Auriel: All in all, lot's of fun.

Pillars of Eternity: Deadfire
Finished the "Seeker, Slayer, Survivor" DLC last night and this was the first time I thought Pillars of Eternity wasted my time. A combat centric DLC but with lackluster fights and lackluster story to tie it all together.
There wasn't enough to differentiate the gimmick of each Face for their respective challenges (traps/wards, straightforward and horde mode were mostly lip service, with the fights still ending up the same way with mostly the same strategy after the first few "turns") and the scavenger hunting for the extra artifacts that unlock extra challenges was just a holding pattern that led to more of the same fights. The only fight that really felt different was the one in which I protected a wizard's notes from imps and nagas, that one required a slightly different strategy to keep the mobs' attention away from the tables and on my party.
Story wise, the most interesting thing about the DLC is how it starts, finding a head in a box on the ship and talking to Muātu's spirit but anything after is disappointing. Humaire and Engari are glorified extras with barely any personality and the story that ties the Watcher's ascension from challenger to contender to champion is bare bones. The decision of what to do with the soul essence after I completed each block of challenges felt blind not in a good sense because at least half of the options came out of nowhere and their implication was not explained properly or at all. Then, talking to the Faces and deciding what to do with them, was one of the worst designed conversations I've seen, requiring me to go between 3 NPCs located at an unnecessary distance from each other along a winding path, in a very specific order, exhausting the dialogue for some but not for others to even get to see skill checks to attempt. There was no logic presented in the order to talk to these NPCs beyond the first investigation and there was no explanation that with one I needed to exhaust the dialogue options, then go to another but not exhaust their options, then go to the third one and exhaust their options, then come back to the second one, exhaust their options, then pick an option I had already picked before but this time, when they responded, I should pick another option in relation to it and that's how I got to unlock a hidden skill check to attempt. I have never been so confused and annoyed navigating a conversation in a very long time.
As for the overall impact on the game story, I don't see any. Galawain is still not going to do anything against Eothas and the people on Kazuwari haven't even acknowledged his existence, let alone express concern about him; it's like they live in a pocket dimension, completely separated from the rest of the archipelago.
I was hoping this would be the over the top tournament arc in an anime but it just made me want to get the past two days back.

Far Cry New Vegas
Starting to push out into the wilds. After I reloaded twice since I may have gotten most of the town's folk of goodsprings killed. Note to self seems the Mercenary Grenade Launcher has hell of a lot of health damage because I am interrpreting it that every time you get an 'x character has got their thing crippled' you were the one who did the crippling of their things. So went through it pistols. Note 2 seems the 10 MM is more powerful then the .357 magnum which is interesting and of course kind of trying to go for the whole 'cowboy' thing with Raylan. Note three think for him I chose the fast fire rate but loss of accuracy perk...that might come back to bite me.
So yes, after that pushing out into the wilds. Now all the time I have played FO NV and FO in general, though quite sure the latest game's work different, but I knew that your own weapons would really not work against certain armor but didn't really get the confirmation until today that could work for you. Think its because of the DLC gear...maybe...but even bullets and things weren't doing any damage at all at times and the little armor shield symbol appeared in the bottom left corner of the health bar or wherever it is. As good as these games can be I have always really disliked their 'mini map'.
And last but not least...my game crashed. Yes, we're off to a great start. At least got it for free.
Final Fantasy 7
Traccked down Wedge to the middle of a Shinra underground facility so somehow he survived being crushed by falling debris and like being forced through the ground. Though since there is actual walkways and stuff still down there then it does make sense but...basically giving the game some grief. But then we also discovered that Shinra is now engaging in human experimentation, I mean kinda duh given the Soldier thing but now there are mutant monsters down there. Though also most of this forced us to play in Barret's perspective which he is a fine character from a gameplay standpoint, the gun arm actually is a fair bit of fun, but from a character perspective...oi. But yey we kicked the crap out of the mutants *thumbs up*. Also we then get kicked out of there by the ghostly creature things.
From there back to Aerith's home, we got a dream message from her we think, got off and promised to rescue her. Shinra and their sexy reporters are blaming Avalanche for things and the people are buying it hook line and sinker and blaming us for the plate falling and all their problems. Which usual thing to Barret is belligerent, Tifa is like *calm down*.
And well this does seem to be setting up an end game scenario going to rescue Aerith which is...interesting. But then they also dumped all these new side quests on us. Continuing on with the side plot of the 'angel of the slums' is my main focus for now, more or less. Plot wise involves us going back to Don Corneo to get more information and resources to get in to Aerith. He also sent men to Aeirth's home for Barret which, toughest fight of the game, they had this little thing with them which just could insta kill you and do this stasis thing. But fortunatley I was able to plod along with Phoenix down's.
Bit dissapointing thing I got it confirmed that fighting in the arena for Materia was only specific to that one chapter. This game is so on rails.

Fallout 4 Survivor mode permadeath run. - Run 1 ended with the Molerat under Red Rocket (embarrassing)
- Run 2 ended with Ack-Act at Olivia.
- Run 3 ended with a grenade in the face trying to take Hangman's Alley.
- Run 4 ended with a Ghoul at Sunshine Tidings (oops).
- Run 5 ended with a Mirelurk King near Quincy.
- Run 6 I thought would be the winner, but no, a Legendary Tankbot finished me in the Mechanist's Lair.
- Run 7 ended with a one bite kill from a Mutant Hound near the Drive-In.
- Run 8 ended with a Yao Guai near Abernathy Farm.
- Run 9 ended with a different Ghoul at Sunshine Tidings (sigh). Runs 7-9 ended pretty early and early levels are harder to survive.
So run #10, so far so good, prioritised getting good Explosive Shielded Power Armor and with Ballistic Weave achieved, now on with the main plot.

Pillars of Eternity: Deadfire – Beast of Winter DLC
I’ve been playing only for a few hours and already I’m enjoying it a lot more than “Seeker, Slayer, Survivor”. Never thought a death cult could be so lively. Had a right chuckle when, even though they welcomed my Watcher with open arms because of the death and chaos that follows in her wake, the Harbingers started crying that she ruined everything after killing the dragon. You kill one messenger of death and everyone calls you a monster, and not in a fun, feast-worthy way. I like Vatnir a lot, he’s a precious, anxiety ridden sucker. I haven’t used any of the sidekicks in my party, even though I recruited them all, but I am using him in this DLC. It helps that he’s also a priest, so I could switch out Xoti for him and not feel anxious myself about lacking enough healing. I almost wish now that you could make a full Godlike party in this game and traipse across the Deadfire, telling the gods they can suck it. Speaking of the gods, I don’t like the way most of them are depicted in the main game in Deadfire, ripping any mystique and awe they had in POE1 (excluding Ondra’s dumb ass in White March Part 2) and turning them into infighting idiots that say and do things that don't make sense. After what Woedica did in POE1 I am still confused why in Deadfire the gods are chummy with her, after Ondra actively interfered in the mortal world by wiping out multiple societies in a cycle of "being forgotten" I'm still confused why they constantly say they don't interfere in the mortal realm and I can't call them out on it. Galawain I still have a bit of respect for left because he’s badass and has already sent a kraken and a giant crocodilian after me because I did something he didn’t like, but Rymrgand is the one I not only still respect but also kind of fear. When I got flung into his realm by the Vailian animancers in Neketaka, I was genuinely worried for my Watcher’s well being. Now, in "Beast of Winter", that respect and fear were reinforced by me fucking around and finding out. I’m close to the end of the main game and I get the feeling that my Watcher will not come out alive at the end of this Eothas business, so I thought that, if I’m going down and the gods will likely go down with me, I may as well sass to my heart’s content. Sassing Rymrgand did not go over well. I had 2 injuries before interacting with the Vytmadh and decided to rest, thinking it would transport me directly to the White Void. Instead, I got to talking to Rymrgand and sassed him, and he froze me, giving me 2 more injuries. If I hadn’t rested beforehand, I think I would have died right after the scripted conversation with him ended. I was in stitches laughing at my dumb luck, it was great.
