BG3 I think I won't be able to complete one of the quests as it involves gathering body parts and I may have accidentally dropped it somewhere during some inventory cleaning. Wish there's a warning implemented for this, if it is so. Of the main quests, finished two of them with one left which I'm going to leave alone and focus on the companion quests. Shadowheart, Gale, Asterion are done. Lae'zel is progressing. Wyll and Karlach's quests are more or less tied together so leaving them alone for now. Halsin's quest was long done in act 1. I don't think Minthara has any. Right now, I'm doing Jaheira's. Picked up a beaut longbow. The light armors are ok. Nothing exceptional. Everyone's got the best I can find. For the PC, I settled on the blue tier Drow light armour after trying a few others. I used the ocean dye on it. I didn't bother downloading any armour mods because I didn't find any interesting types. The rest are mainly putting the characters in skimpy or zero clothing which is hardly immersive. I decided not to bother with weapons either. Same for cosmetics / varied faces etc. Larian Studios did a great job with this game and I'm happy with what I find in the game.

Assassins Creed MirageSo realize there is really nothing spoiler even in any of the story stuff I did tonight so there is that. Figured out how to use Assassins Focus in the game finally, just hold the button isntead of pressing it. And this thing is very awesome, somehow find it a bit more realistic and well balanced then the chain assassination from Odyssey. Afterall each bar does count to just one person dead and it can be used as a means of maniveribility of the battlefield so lot of thought can go through it. First time using it killed one guy on the left, the target, and then one guy standing on the second story by a ladder so I was able to basically get into a good position to escape. Second one bit few too many enemies for my available bars so I thinned the herd by knocking boulders on them then killed the three guards I neeeded to get me close to the objective. On the inventory front they do a new twist on some of the gameplay tropes we have been seeing here, in the trans mog area, sort of, and the...well inventory in general. Just some games does this whole thing where you have 'gear' to upgrade your stats but also costumes/ skins you can collect that are pretty much just to wear with no stats but they look good. Namely Avengers, and Hogwarts Legacy are the two big culprits. In Avengers so gear system was so superfilious to your overall objectives that it really didn't matter at all. You had gear, but it was holographic, it improved your stats and scores, but you just plugged it in as you got it to progress your scores because the skins is what you want. In Legacy, worse Inventory system ever, you had gear to improve stats. You had the costumes but you also had to constantly go in and apply the looks you wanted because it would show you the new stuff whenever you switched. And you were constantly grinding for gear and just adding it to your stuff. But with Mirage it combines the gear from Vahalla and Odyssey, basically to where its pieces are few and far between and you don't have to actually grind for it...and it does not actually change your look when you apply new gear but it does give you a preview in the inventory screen. So you don't have to change it. Only unfortunate thing is I am rocking the Basim costume from ACV which has unfortunate conotations so I want to switch but its the best one I got right now. Though I did see some nice ones when looking at a video on youtube on the subject so there is hope. Didn't get too much done aside from the above and I continued looking into the Order. Nothing really to say accept its interesting that I discovered that I had the 'exploration mode' on...at least for some of the big objectives. I was surprised because I thought I turned it off and figured out which option it was in case it gets long in the tooth...but I'm leaving it on for the moment. Will need a more genuine test of my skills but again always been fascinated at least with the idea of this and want to practice, just in case. On the way though and good for exploration...well I discovered some gear chests aren't tied to the story so it would behoove me to look for it...actually wait I already knew this. Still the gear was the worse puzzle in the game. I knew what to do but since the game didn't let me do it I was paranoid so had to look it up. Basically if you want to jump with an oil canister make sure you press the jump button before advancing. God of War RagnarokActually made a fair bit of progress here and this DLC does have its fun moments. I mean Ragnarok's combat is so satisfying that I suppose it helps and I think this might be the best designed way of doing this mode. Like the devs actually did put some thought in it story wise and in terms of how they balance out the experience. Still grindy. But I did find out who was responsible for inviting me here. Its Tyr. Still this does remain a hell of a grind. So after getting to what I presume is the top and hoping I got it done...Kratos is like 'I'm not worthy' and gets kicked back down. And then you have to go and fight the head boy again when you get to the top every time it seems. And the time trials. Ugh. So that is frustrating. Plus new enemies and new challenges even in the lower reaches and new challanges and things, in this case a good ole trade off. You have to fight with an disadvantage but you get a cool reward at the end! Also worse still there is ways through the mist with the chests now but they are limited over at the shore. Joys. On the bright side I think they did do a fairly good job balancing things because while the challenges are getting ever more tough and finding new ways of drawing them out they are also giving you access to better perks to help you out. Like finally saw both rage perks and health perks. If you die though, of course, you start over from the beginning with the risk that you won't get these perks again. And well other big story moment. How Kratos advanced is he figured he'd put himself in the cage instead of Helios...that worked and got us to Tyr.
And well with Tyr now revealed and Kratos still not being worthy for the final struggle we are going back down this time with interludes from Tyr and getting memories from Kratos. This is going to happen multiple times apparently as even getting back up still not worthy and its one of those 'interesting but kind of cliche' points centering around him accepting what he did at the time of making his initial deal with Ares might have led to tragedy but also kind of was the right thing to do at the time.

BG3 Damn, I think I have to restart. I bypass an audience / coronation quest upon entering the fortress at BG, thinking I can come back to it but everything went to h*ll. I did a search to find out the branch line for this quests. By bypassing this, a series of events are missed, a critical NPC is lost. I don't know how this is going to affect the most important main quest. Likely it will still progress but there's no doubt I messed up some of the companion quests. A post over at Steam warned against bypassing this audience / coronation event. I saw this too late. Edit. Oh, doing this definitely triggered major point of no return events in the city according to the poster. Shucks. I don't have a save for that point and that was what, two three days ago. I tend to overwrite or delete saves because the list is so long. Yup. Looks like I'm restarting. Edit II. Actually, I don't. I found a Act II save in which the party is departing for BG.

Continuing my adventure through Hogwarts. I have gotten all of the map explored and all the instant travel points unlocked. Though at this point almost everything in that coastal area is giving me no xp and many of the collection chests have been empty.. So besides the couple side quests in a few settlements the whole area kinda feels useless at this point. Though I'm assuming I'll be sent back down here for some main missions eventually.

Assassins Creed MirageThis was fun for a bit but then turned into the roughest play sessions I've had in this game. Started off stealthing the crap out of a couple of areas. No real muss. No real fuss. First area was a story area where there was a gear chest, a historical thingy, and it was just this little two story area with the guards on top and the civvies on the bottom. Cleared out most of the people on the top floor on only one side and then risked going down. Got off another of those chain assassination things against a heavy target so I wasn't sure if I could get to it. Then I risked it enough to go down into the bowl, got the clues I needed, which pointed me back up. Killed the target by umping off a chandilier at him. Only trouble I ran into was forgot a couple of guards was stashed out back and so ran around the corner and they were like 'what'. But killed them pretty easily. Then did a couple more contracts. First one had to kill a guy with fire and pretty much no trouble. Second one had to do an 'environmental kill'. No trouble really again except the contractor favor was doing it via an environmental kill. So funny bit was I ran into my target talking to a contact and the contact was like 'don't worry we're professionals here we'll keep an eye out for things.' So I think killed the contact first chance I got. And well there were I guess a couple of environmental ways I could get him...except the guy wouldn't move. So eventually I just gave up and went straight in on the guy. And well I take back all the nice things I've said about the Tales of Baghdad from the last two postings or so. Ran into one and basically gave up on it because pretty much...well wasn't really clear on what I had to do with it. The objective was to help this old man get his treatise on something back, something astronimical. And well no real markings that I saw at least sort of...and the first one which I did get did that AC thing where the wind picked it up and started blowing it around the map. Fortunatley it took pity on me and stopped...buuuut basically couldn't find the last one. By that time I was pressed for time and a bit pissed so I did go in and murder a few people for my last contract when it said not to kill anyone. Also it was back at the story area with Al-ghul so...yeah when it comes to areas I've previously been going to be a lot less keen on just dealing with it. Oh and Enkidu last thing on the night. Enkidu can first off be driven off by marksman bows so you have to eliminate them to clear the area for him to scout. Second thing is...I kind of like what the game is doing with him. In Odyssey Icarus could just see everything. In Vahalla they scalled back...that brid's abilities...but now they are kind of back. Enkidu can mark targets again permenantly. But in this case it still gives you the eagle vison to look around and scout as well. Kind of getting into more of a habbit of using the brid again but both has utility in this case which helps. The DoctorNot much to say but a small and intriguing pattern is emerging.
My guess right now is the Doctor and the Order in general is looking for the avatars of the Isu. Because they mentioned that there are people who have been reacting to artefacts. I think this is how Loki is going to get free too.
And I did have to love the quote from Ahmad who was working with the Hidden Ones. "Its a shame that knowledge often falls into the wrong hands, isn't it Basim?" Poignant.

BG3 I found I missed out a couple of stand alone quests. There's a mini one for the dog too. Wonder if there's one for the owlcat. The audience etc went off rather well, I thought. I didn't have Karlach in the party so there was no ruckus. A non-committal answer is always the best option. I feel the exchange between the PC and Wyll regards Mizora is dumb. Come on, what she's up to and what she wants is clear as the sun. What's with this stupid pretension that neither of you know what she wants? I thought I would have problems convincing Wyll to do the right thing. Nope. The dialogue with him that night in camp went off well too. I'm keeping very careful track of the X parts quest. Picked up three. I sent them straight away into the camp chest.

Neverwinter Nights 2
Decided to take a break from Baldur's Gate 3 for a bit (I know! Shocker! ) So I made a new character in one of the first RPG's I've ever played...Neverwinter Nights 2
I've created an Half-elf named Rithralia 'Rith' Eyther, who's a Rogue/Wizard Arcane Trickster
- So far she's won the Harvest Festival with her two friends - Helped put down an attack on her home village, where she lost one of her friends - Ventured into the nearby swamp to find some silver shard alongside the other friend Said silver shard is actually part of a Githyanki sword - Came back where her foster dad send her on her way to meet with his half-brother in the city of Neverwinter out of the blue (his name is Duncan...yay!) - Ventured back into the swamp, came across a dwarf named Khelgar, who she befriended after helping him in a tavern brawl (they also got attacked by the same creatures that attacked her hometown) - Took out a swamp cave with lizard folk alongside said dwarf, saved a merchant, again (she had already saved him at the inn/tavern where she met the dwarf) - Went to a local fort along the road, got mistaken for a bandit (honestly what's with those soldiers), saved the most adorable tiefling this side of the Sword Coast since Karlach named Neeshka. - Teamed up with said tiefling to find some bandit camp, and find the fort's commander. - Found said commander in a graveyard overrun by undead and some wacko of a necromancer - Got back to the fort, the lieutenant tried to kill us...we killed him instead. The commander is happy, so is some old childhood hero/friend from back home who said he'll thank us proper if and when we get to the city.
So...now we gotta take out some bandits...hopefully either kill them or persuade them to better their ways...I'm hoping for the latter, but I fear my diplomacy isn't high enough yet, guess we'll see that tomorrow xD
Oh and to top it all of, some weird lady is stalking Rith...like that's not coming back to bite us later

Diablo III
Gave D3 a spin as it's January which means The Darkening of Tristram event is active. You can play a very simplified version of Diablo in D3. It's fun and can be done in about three hours. To get the most out of it, it's best to start with a fresh level 1 character you'll finish about level 22 by the time you off Diablo or as he's referred to in the anniversary dungeon The Dark Lord.

BG3 I couldn't resist it. I picked up a spell that will make a mob dance for 10 turns so I had Gale cast it on a Githyanki while I take out the two portal casters. Dance Little Lady Dance You know you've only got one chance Come on Dance Dance Dance This time I took it slow and poked into every building when possible. However, if I recognise the building as the destination of another quest, I leave it alone. Came across Mayrina. I'm wondering if I would run across the other someone in the Aunt Ethel incident.

NHL 22So apparently its national spaghetti day...or at least was. And since I found it out pretty late and already had dinner not a chance to eat said pasta...so I decided to play Hockey instead. Boston Bruins. David Pastranak. Pasta. Get it. So they lost IRL so I decided to try out and do a 'revenge game'. WHich also didn't work out well since I also ended up loosing 2-1 to the Pitsburgh Penguins in OT. Kind of a nonsense bit though but at least I managed to get to OT after my sort of self inflicted BS. End of the first period just trying to bleed the riest of the clock and well I went and pressed the pass button and had the stick all the way to the right to put it into the corner. But it popped on Crosby's stick for an easy goal. Grr. Now it might've been a stupid move in general given that I don't think there was anyone in that corner so maybe could have gotten it and scored but feel a bit robbed. Rest of the game proceeded at pace as per usual. Got a ton of shots on goal of course but their goalie just was standing on his head and getting very, very, lucky, several pucks looked like he had trouble with only to coral it at the last minute. So this game went right to the wire with like a minute left in the game, pulled the goalie, and it actually worked out. Marchand pulled it and flew around the back of the net and buried a back hander. So that sucked though that lost in Overtime after having a Power Play to. Still. Happy I wiped out that goal. Next up though to get revenge on my revenge game since I don't like leaving out on a loss...took on the Coyotes. And same frakin deal that is becoming such a common thing for me it seems. Need to figure out how to generate better offense. Because had like 60 shots again. This time I did prevail 4-1. First goal was a nifty little move in the second period. Off the face off, fourth line, Nosek won the draw and got it to the D-man Lindholm who shot it...the Coyote goalie made the save because of course but the rebound went back to Nosek who buried it to make it 1-0...it was fun to since Nosek was hurt in the Pitsburgh game. They got that one back not too long later to make it 1-1. And then Taylor Hall took over in the third period with a Hat trick all in the same period. First goal I believe was his first little rebound thing on a breakaway with Zacha. Second one another rebound I think but from behind the net. And the third one just a nifty little empty netter after I got him to the puck. It was funny because he passed the goalie on the way to shooting but he got it. Nice storyline from this game though is I actually beat them on passing efficiency so maybe I am figuring that out...unlikely though! 93 percent. One nice sequence was with Marchand, Bergeron, and Pasta rushing up the ice and just noticed the passing line was green so went for it...and didn't work out. And on national Pasta day...Pasta didn't even have a point. Best laid plans of mice and men. Probably back to AC tommorow!.

Yeah I'm temptedt og oback to Fifa bu tbecause I spent a lo to flas tyea rplaying it I'm trying t oresist fornow as I real ywantto get on wih m yRPG games. I d owantto continu em ycareers but I promised mysel fI'd focu smore on my RPG's thi swinter and less on my sports games especiall ygiven Forbidden West i scoming to PC ver ysoon and i wantt osqueeze in a tleas tone run o fHZD in befoe ri tdoes. Going t oeither tr yagain on Bordrelands 1 o rgo back and finish m yAndromeda playthrough after I'm finished with m ylates tBG 3attempt mayb epla ysome o fmy Midnight Suns run too.. After I'm finished Andromeda though that's likel ywhen I will play HZD. Afte rI play that and mayb eForbidden West if it's ou tby then I may pla y a mix o fth eME rtilogy and th eBorderlands games an dmaybe continue my Hogwarts playthrough too if I don't get back to it befoer then. I may also throw in anoth rego a tForspoken given I haven't yet played the DLC. I'm no trulin gou tsqueezing a season o r2 of Fifa here an dther because I jus tdon't know atm. As it's likely I'll do a season whil edownloading Forbidden West. I'm just not making it my top priority atm.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

Just playing a Civ 6 game with expansions. Playing Frederick on King difficulty, I'm running away with the game, of course. No records, though, since with no Science CSs in the game I can't tech as fast as I'd like. (Spies don't help since I've outteched everyone.I've just got them stealing artworks because there's nothing else to do.)
What makes this game significant is that this is the very first time I've ever played anything from the Epic store that I actually paid for, since the expansion collection was part of the Christmas sale Everything else has been one of the giveaways.
Speaking of which, just picked up Guardians of the Galaxy.

BG3 Picked up a new piece of armour. Things are landing well for Wyll but I'm not sure I want to do the other one of his quest because I found out what it is. I told a NPC who also wants the same thing that the party can handle it so I'm not going to do this particular quest. PC had a roll in the hay with Halsin so I guess this relationship is for keeps.

I fell off the roof and hurt my hip and back, just before Christmas, so I haven't been playing much since, or doing anything really. I just started Fallout 4 for the first time. Still in character creation and trying to figure out how it works. i.imgur.com/FEwdtfI.jpgA bit much makeup for a wasteland survivor I think. I assume your husband or wife dies, and you get to choose which at some point?
