Neverwinter Nights 2
Continued the travels of my girl Rith, who together with Khelgar and Neeshka took out a Bandit camp, managing to persuade the leader to release his captives, and join the forces at the fort as new recruits.
On their way to the town of Highcliff, the group was waylaid by attackers -again- , but saved by the mysterious wood elven druid Elanee, who after some beating around the bush, admitted to having stalked us for some time but offered her aid to get us to Highcliff. You later find out she's basically been watching you since you were a kid. And given that she's actually one of two romance options in this game...that's not creepy at all. Arriving in Highcliff we found out the ships were being attacked by Lizardfolk, so we had to deal with that before we could travel to Neverwinter properly. We even met a friendly Lizardman called Slaan, who we helped save his tribe from undead, and as thanks their leader said they'd stop attacking the human ships (yay!).
So then we traveled to Neverwinter, met with uncle Duncan (yay!), met the local moon elven wizard Sand (I love that guy, he's one of my favorite npc's in this game, he really honors his name by being so dry witted ). Found out from them that we need some sage guy in a cornered off portion of the city to properly examine the silver shards (we have two now, Duncan had another).
Decided to take up Cormick's offer to join the city guard, which went as well as you'd expect. Betrayal, blackmail...some crazy human sorceress named Qara (she reluctantly joined us after trying to torch down the inn we're staying at (smh)
Eventually gained enough clout with the city guards to get an assignment outside of the city, which turned out to be a rescue mission to find a Waterdeep emissary captured by orcs. Along the way we met a rather talkative gnomish bard named Grobnar Gnomehands, who after a long-winding story helped us on our way to Old Owl Well. There we met with their dwarven commander Callum, and held of an attack by orcs.
And now we're hunting down orcs, trying to find the Waterdeep emissary, get him safely back to the city, and also make contact with some guy nicknamed "Katalmach" by the orcs, in order to take out the local orc leadership...easy peasy.
-- You know, Neverwinter Nights 2 really has a diverse cast of characters, only five of them are human (three of which are men)...you have two elves of different species, a dwarf, a gnome, a tiefling, a githzerai and a construct/golem thing! Then in the expansion you have only one human, a hagspawn (technically a cambion apparently (night hags aren't actually hags but a type of fiend (?), but he's called a hagspawn in-game), a celestial akin to Dame Alyn (but less "rage" and more "calm smiting") and potentially either a bear god (and he's an actual bear, not a shapeshifter) or a spirit/wraith with schizophrenia

LadyofNemesis your NWN 2 PT is almost tempting me to play those games again but last time I tried BG1 I only got about an hour in and got frustrated with the Iso play and how damn slow everything proceeds.

Finished up Hogwarts Legacy. Overall I enjoyed it, the main story and side quests were solid. The open world, while it looked great def had a bit too much of the Ubisoft grind to it though.
If they do a sequel I'd love to see companions/npcs get a larger focus and that perhaps they accompany you more throughout the journey. There were a few moments where you got to talk to teachers and fellow students but I felt they could have done a lot more with it. Like some of the teachers you go to class for once or twice and then for the rest of the game they no longer have any interactions.
For exploration they def could cut out a lot of the filler. Like having more Merlin Trials then you get xp for, collection chests that are empty if you've already explored most places. All those loot caves that give worse gear then you already have. I did enjoy the flying though so def wanna see that get some extra goodies in the next one.

I fell off the roof and hurt my hip and back, just before Christmas, so I haven't been playing much since, or doing anything really. I just started Fallout 4 for the first time. Still in character creation and trying to figure out how it works. i.imgur.com/FEwdtfI.jpgA bit much makeup for a wasteland survivor I think. I assume your husband or wife dies, and you get to choose which at some point? I hope you get well soon.

Assassins Creed Mirage
More contracts up today though, at least two of them, organizaing thoughts. First contract was to go after this informant that had been captured in the middle of a camp. Setup was funny though as I actually had to hunt down leads to the guy, his cart was being guarded by three guards. Went into the tall brush investigating and planning an ambushing one two of them but the third guy just randomly walked into the brush at me. I was able to get him though but also let out a little laugh because it was pretty funny. THen killed the next two guys in the line, regular assassination, knife. Camp was fun though, focussed assasination with three of them to help out then worked around with the others. Got the guy...and the best thing about this though that said guy was actually connected to previous missions and mentioned the trader who I killed earlier. So there is actually continuity in these things and I think there was some relation to the next one. Had to follow this guy around...he couldn't see me. Which he did three times, second time accidentally whistled instead of eagle visioned and he came to investigate, third time a guard saw me, had to kill the guard, he noticed us. Finally though got to where I needed to go all stealthily and then focussed assain over to the objective which two kills which led me to the objective I needed to swap out. And I got the contractor requests for both.
Next up though had a devil of a time with trying to get a Dervish artefact. Took me like five times, at least, to get the thing and just don't know what was going wrong with it. I thought it was in the ring each time but it just didn't want to work out. So...but I did get him eventually.
Other then that started on the next investigation...not much to report there so far just running around in a teahouse and it was just funny when I talked to a guy and he was cowering and he just leapt up when I talked to him. few other interesting things here and there.

Oh trust me, I get frustrated with NWN2 as well, especially given that I made my character an archer...and she keeps missing targets and thereby wasting arrows xD
But it's still a lot of fun, mostly because of the story and the characters ^^

The Talos Principle 2Completed another hub last night (Desolate Island). They're starting to deviate a little more from the puzzles in TTP1, with body/mind swapping and some fun stacking platform puzzles. I like that they change up the biomes in the game. A lot of cool vistas to take in here, even if the layout of the structures themselves seem haphazard...

Neverwinter Nights 2
Rith continued hunting down orcs to find the Waterdeep emissary, eventually found him with the help of "Katalmach" or as he's more commonly known, the human paladin Casavir (Neeshka said his aura makes her skin itch )
Went back to the city to tell the guard commander the good news, who set us out on a trail of the Luskans...because apparently in the Forgotten Realms no one gets along.
Killed the Luskans, got told there were assassins in the city, they turned out to be githyanki...they be dead now
Eventually got access to the Blacklake district, met with the sage Aldanon who told us the history about the silver shards we carried. He in turn set us on the trail of Ammon Jerro, or rather his descendants since the bloke is dead (figures)
Traveled to the local archives, which were of course overrun by githyanki, killed them...found out about Ammon's last living descendant, a woman named Shandra.
Went to her home near Highcliff, rescued her (she wasn't pleased...though that might've to do with the fact that the gith burned down her home in order to capture her )
Brought Shandra back to the city, and during the night we get ambushed -again- by githyanki who use the confusion to kidnap her. Got the reluctant help from the human ranger Bishop (he's a character you can't help but hate to love...at least imo. I hate him so much ) to find and rescue her. (Managed to impress Bishop a bit with our skills...at least he doesn't think we're dumb...at least not yet anyway, give him time)
We go and rescue her, we find out the githyanki were actually trying to save our realm from the King of Shadows...and that my girl Rith has a silver shard embedded in her chest (why isn't she dead you ask? Magic)
Anyway...everything turned out easy peasy, Shandra is safely back in the city, Bishop decided to keep hanging about (Casavir greatly disapproves), and everything is good.
SIKE!
Turns out the Luskans are now accusing us of mass murdering a town (we did no such thing, we merely traveled through it), and we're slated to be executed. Now, apparently the local leader Lord Nasher says that's a big no no, so he send some guy to tell me to become a squire to some knight so I can be tried by their court of law instead of in Luskan.
Local elven wizard Sand has been tasked to play our lawyer, much to his dismay and that of Qara (those two don't get along at all).
So yeah...now I gotta become a squire, and here I hoped to not get a title for once

Fallout 4
Three days ago I recruited Cait from the Combat Zone. Had trouble figuring out how to raise her affinity. Eventually found out I had to be an alcoholic. Raised her affinity high enough for her to discuss her past and get her quest. Last night I completed her quest and am glad to say she is drug free. Started Nick Valentine's personal quest. Collected all 10 holotapes of Eddie Winter. I did not get to listen to them because I thought the Sole Survivor and Nick would listen to the tapes together. But no my character just handed them over. Found an unremorseful Eddie Winter and let Nick kill him. So I have now maxed out Affinity with Piper (no quest), Nick, Strong, and Cait. Also does anyone know what happened to Dogmeat? The last time I saw him he was tracking Kellog's scent. Since that quest I have not seen him since.

The Talos Principle 2Completed two more hubs today, with a fun little robot Easter Egg(?) toward the end. There were so many deer running around that last hub. I was having flashbacks of constantly getting skewered in AC: Valhalla and getting a bit twitchy whenever one was behind me... (I'm sure dazk can empathize... ) And it looks like our new robo-humans are a bit on the tall side...

After 135h with Cyberpunk, a soul crushing storytelling masterpiece, I needed something cute and innocent to wash away the trauma, lol. So I finished Trine 4. Came out years ago without me noticing. Last I heard was the studio went bankrupt after Trine 3. Now there's even Trine 5! Suuuper relaxing beautiful physics based puzzle side scroller. Loved it. Except for 2 checkpoints where I got stumped and had to look up how to do it, it was easy but a nice entertaining kind of easy. Took me about 12h, smarter people can perhaps breeze through it in half the time. Did not bother with finding all hidden items. More pics:

BG3 So I arrived at a most interesting part; House of Hope and a certain event. I had to do this four times because I was trying to figure out the right way without having to make a big ruckus. I did a search, looking for clues as to how to proceed because I was thinking; surely not??? The PC will break it off somewhere in the middle right? Unfortunately, the only guide I found was not detailed. It only specified steps. So I reloaded four times and on the fifth I figured I had to let the event played through to the end because that's what the NPC is after. One thing I can say for certain. A lot of fanfics will be written about this. BG3 once again pulled a fast one. I've to wonder though. Where were the rest of the party? I doubt they were crass to hang around though I wouldn't put it past Astarion to have a smirk on his face if he were in the party and he wasn't. The fight at the portal is interesting. The music makes me think of a musical.

Neverwinter Nights 2
So we managed to proof our innocence in the trial against us, but the Luskan ambassador decided to throw a wrench in that plan too and called for a trial by combat. Outraged by the fact Khelgar requested to fight in our stead, so my squishy archer/mage decided that was a good idea and Khelgar wiped the floor with the Luskan champion.
After that we briefly traveled back home to West Harbor, then traveled back to the city for yet another task.
The Sage Aldanon had been kidnapped, to god knows where...but we were required by Nasher to look after another Lord who's in possession of a silver shard and needed protection since he might be on the list to get shanked next.
So we saved the noble, but turns out he had handed the shard to someone else, who of course ended up killed so now the shard is in someone else's possession *sigh*
Of course our troubles didn't end there, the new Luskan ambassador told us that some guy named Black Garius (who calls himself that anyway?) was attempting some oogie boogie ritual somewhere in order to attack Neverwinter.
We decided to knock down the door, disrupt his ritual and kill him.
...As a reward we now have a title, and a castle...because why the heck not?
So now we're rebuilding said castle, because naturally Garius had left it in disrepair, there goes all the coin I earned...but I wouldn't spend it otherwise so meh
Oh and we have a new friend, a githzerai cleric by the name of Zhjaeve, who tells us we're destined to defeat the King of Shadows...who's apparently back. She wants us to go to some ancient ruin for some ritual so we can boost ourselves for this fated battle...should be fun no?

The Talos Principle IIWith those last two hubs cleared, it was back (briefly) to the (still impressive) Megastructure. They introduced some gravity-changing navigation here that gave me flashbacks to the hidden chateau in DAI: Trespasser. And yes... I fell through the world. Again. Narratively, things took a turn here, and so we wound up heading back to the city. I took the opportunity to... dip a toe or two out-of-bounds.

Assassins Creed MirageLightning round set pieces, contracts, and tales since I was playing for a fair bit. First contract I did was the one I had been putting off for awhile called the 'Botanist'. And it turned out there was a good reason. This one took awhile and I really was getting World Events/ Tales of Baghdad flashbacks because it didn't seem like anything was being obvious and I was just running around getting frustrated, got detected which cancelled out the bonus. But turns out it was me. After awhile I just decided to recheck the objective...and it hit me it mentioned the Botanist specifically...which meant I had to pick pocket the guy. And I knew where he was. Took me about ten seconds after I figured it out. Next Tale of Baghdad was kind of interesting. Junior Asassin wanted my help dealing with an armored target and his cronies. More bad guys showed up though at the end and got into a little bit of fisticuffs with them. But got it done without too much muss and fuss and I encouraged the guy to continue along the path. in a later story mission something curious did happen which is making me like the noteriety system even more. Was kind of out in the outskirts of Baghdad away from the center, tripped the three tier immortal alarm. Just no immortals. I think that since I am on the outskirts the logic was it would take them awhile for them to get to me. So if true that is a very nice gameplay twist. I mean they can be dealt with to but they are a bit...annoying. Trouble with the exploration mode or whatever you wanted to call it. One of the objectives was that x location was to the north of such and such place and so spent awhile looking for it. Gave up. Did a few other things. Came back to it. Still couldn't find a single place on the map that was that location. So I just looked and made an educated guess where it had to be or close enough. And traveled to a fast travel location...which ended up being the start of the journey...right there. Still not on the map though. Which admittedly random exploration is difficult enough if you don't actually give people a way of figuring it out. So a definite down point on this and if this kind of things continue I just might switch to 'guided' mode. Really liking the focus assassination thing though. Its kind of a situation where sure its OP as heck in certain ways like the Odyssey one. But A. its range lmitation is really nice and sort of makes some sense. Like the Inquisition tactical camera just would get hung up on the terrain which made no sense because it wasn't actually there in the game. But this tracks out Basim's place and the range limit is enough to limit to where you still have to be careful and a lot of times that targets, even if you can see them, it won't let you target them because Basim can't get at them. So its a very nice system. The HunterNothing much happened here on any of the major plot developments that I have been following. Just more stuff with the rebels.
Always kind of an ominious note in a game when a main quest has you picking flowers for someone. Also it did repeat the same note from before with me having to free another batch of rebels from captivity before moving onto the objective. Including someone's specific kid whose mother was worried about him (the person I am picking the flowers for).
But from there probably the most anticlimactic assassination of the entire game as I had to go charing in with all the rebels as they assaulted his estate. Including the Order member came out to play so I just killed him. In a mad rush. So that was that.
Meanwhile the game is trying to do...something...with the rebel leader Ali. Came in to find him beating a guard of the Order then later came in to find that he killed said guard in his interrogation. Not much to say on it though. I guess it just feels like a box to tick off rather then an actual point they are trying to make although given whatevre Basim will be going through throughout the game it does make me wonder if this will become sort of a minor plotpoint. The Forty ThievesBit of a fun 'DLC'.
Not really that much to say. Ali baba's daughter hired Basim to look for her father who was going off to meet with the Forty Thieves for trade. By the time we got there he was dead.
So had to go back and they marked an x on the side of the door. Basim had the bright idea to mark the rest of the doors on the square...on the door itself. This was enough to appatently confuse the thieves. Objective was to go around and kill the rest of them. Thing is after I did a group of them apparently got through and was dueling with the daughter.
Basim once more volunteered to go and finish the fight by taking out the Forty Thieves leader. Nice little set piece but that was pretty much it. The CallingThe mission where I got lost in other words.
Main story mission. It occurs to me I hope there is more to it then just that but now we have found the use for all the shards I've been collecting. Good news is I am already 70 percent of the way there, 7 out of 10. Bad news is I am curious enough about the rewards to actually track the rest of them down.
So follow the clues and it leads to an underground Isu lair. Got shades of Odyssey and the area on that one island where you can run into Deimos and get the spear upgrades, some minor shades of the hunt for Excalibur just far less annoying. One descent dagger and one descent Isu looking piece of armor...whom I forgot their bonuses. Oh yeah I don't think the dagger had a great bonus but the armor apparently does a flash of light on an air assassination which could have interesing implications if it can block out people from seeing me for noteriety purposes. Oh last but not least found new cosmetic from the Forty Thieves DLC. No hood on it which is a bit hinky but it looks better and also is not the Basim outfit for ACV so that is a delightful bonus.

BG3 After further consideration, I decided to redo the House of Hope event. That particular event. I went with battle instead. Then onwards! To the Final Battle. Of course someone was very unhappy with my choices but he's pretty stupid, imo. Rather, he's more concern for himself than anyone else. So I'm a little puzzled with the ending with Halsin. I forgot to speak to everyone before setting off for the final battle. I did a search. I doubt whether the PC talk to him or not would make any difference. Still, after all the BOOMs and what nots, there are affectionate choices so I have to be satisfied with that. And so, my PT with a female elf ranger has ended. The next will be a guy. I think I'll make him a warrior. I'll try to be more imaginative. Some of the BG3 vids I found says that anything is possible. Larian Studios have made it so. Hence, go do crazy stuff!
