Remember to throw all the best equipment you have on Bishop before the fighting starts. Just all of it. Can't be too careful. His job guarding the gate is pretty important and intense compared to everyone else's, and without medium or heavy armor even that Ranger D10 Hit Die is gonna take a beating fast... Have been thinking about going back to NWN2 lately. Craving some sort of wholesome gish warhammer/maul character after watching Violent Night twice this year Christmas, and that's never been my style in these games before. Also considered doing it as a redemption Durge in BG3. For now though: -snip- Heh, I've played this game before...ain't no way Bishop is going to take my best equipment xD I know what happens Plus the ones that die earliest for me are Qara or Sand...or myself (sometimes Elanee or Neeshka too, but they tend to hold out longer then the squishy mages)

Finished up AC Mirage. While it was enjoyable, I really feel like they need to bring in a coherent story again. You do the usual hunt down the order stuff, but there isn't really a great driving force or even bad guys to care about. Its just because your an Assassin and its the job..
Also I felt the ending was pretty rushed. It quickly flips into the ISU stuff and isn't explained very well. I played through Valhalla so I know what happened but if all you played was Mirage, I think you'd kinda be scratching your head.

Neverwinter Nights 2 & Mask of the Betrayer expansion
Kicked the King of Shadows back to whatever hell hole spew it out. And we only lost two companions...not a huge loss though Only Qara and Bishop betrayed the party
But Bishop betrayed Rithralia first, so it's only fair that she killed him for his treachery.
He also may have used Rith in more ways then one (courtesy of a mod that allows you to "romance" him, so he also broke her heart), she really wanted to kill him after that.
As for Qara...if she wants to believe she's more powerful then Rith or Sand, by all means let her try. And try she did...but she also failed, apparently study does come in handy sometimes. Anyway, instead of being allowed to retire in peace, Rithralia was kidnapped and brought to some underground barrow...and trapped there. Thankfully she was rescued by Safiya, a friendly Red Wizard of Thay, who promised to aid her in her travels to find answers.
Because 1) the shard that used to be in Rith's chest is gone (meaning someone managed to cut it out without killing her), and 2) something very strange and very wrong happened inside the barrow. She may have sort of, kinda killed or absorbed a local spirit...I don't think that's healthy.
So now we're in the Rashemi village of Mulsantir, to find a woman called Lienna who's an associate of Safiya's mother, who might be able to tell Rith just what the hells is going on.

Switching genres a bit. Started up the Callisto Protocal today. Def not as great as Dead Space, but still enjoying it so far. Though God damn the amount of crawling through vents or squeezing through tight spaces...trying to hide loading much!?

Finished the Invincible, took me about 10 hours. Essentially its a walking simulator/ interactive movie(book). Main draw for me was - it is based on a novel of the same name by Stanislaw Lem, one of my favorite sci-fi writers. In fact it could be considered a prequel of sorts, depending on what ending you get. While walking sims aren't for everyone I would still recommend trying it out, it has a demo on Steam btw. If not, at least read the novel.

NHL 22Usual problem with franchises with all the drama from yesterday...well had to put the new Bruins in their right jersey numbers for continuity reasons and preference reasons...and also didn't set up the strategies the way I wanted it. Despite that got two more games in. And well my first line is also doing the worse on the team still...I think...pretty much. Or at least second worse with the second line...nah the worse. First game up against the 3-0 Buffalo Sabers with, in previous versions of reality their goalie has given me fits. Their goalie continues to give me fits in this version of realities even with six goals scored. Won 6-3...but I got like 70 + shots on net the entire game...and they blocked like 15 shots on top of that. Hall and Marchand both picked up their first goals on the season at the very least. Debrusk continues his hot streak to start the season with two more goals getting him to four on the season. First one again the rebound special that he has been developping, second one was an Empty Netter. Foligno capped things off with a power play goal...again the exact same way he scored the first one. So to that point I was 2-2 on the powerplay on the season overall. Only trouble is they got only like 14 shots. Second game was a wild one against the SHarks. Jumped out to a 3-0 lead against them in the first period. Got off to one of those oddly beautiful goals that been trying so hard to do yet does not happen so often...a tipped goal in front. Coyle won the face off, got it to Carlo on D, and well just got a weak back handed shot towards the net which Coyle was able to get his stick on deflecting it in. Then Zacha was a one man team for the next shift. Accidental icing but Zacha beat it, went around the net, and put it in. Then a lucky as heck shot from the boards got in with about a minute left. Thing is the Sharks went to town and slowly pushed it back. Two goals in both the second and third period, taking a 4-3 lead. Which sucked, including a power play goal. But then I rallied for two more quick ones. Marchand got a little lucky on a breakway and was able to just sneak it in point blank. Then Debrusk got his 6th for a game winning goal.

I'm playing Spiritfarer, a very relaxing crafting game on a boat. Make spirits happy building individual homes and run errands so that they become ready to go to the beyond. I'm loving the art style. This is more of a mobile game (Switch) that you play in short sessions. (On a big screen on PC the graphics are a little blurry but it's fine and it has native ultra wide support which surprised me.) OR something to play while you're sick (which I am right now AGAIN). Because it's so chill and slow paced it's perfect for when you're too tired for action games. It's surprisingly long. Im about 14h in and sitting at around 30% completed. I did waste hours farming stuff though I didn't need and getting stuck for a while not realizing what I had to do to unlock a new region because I'm dumb.

Neverwinter Nights 2
Continued on Rithralia's journey, we went to Mulsantir's theater to find Leanna, but quickly found some colleagues of Safiya had been ransacking the place and had killed the poor woman. So no answers there, as we left the place we were accosted by the local authority. And apparently we have an even bigger problem, as the Bear God in who's burrow we awoke has come knocking on our door.
As a show of good faith, the local authorities allow us to look for allies, and our first ally we found in the local prison, a hagspawn named Gannayev (aka. Gann, aka. Gann-of-Dreams). (I love Gann's reasoning when you ask him why he's in jail Gann: " My crime? It is a serious one -- you see, I am too handsome to look upon." (yes you are, but no need to rub it in)
Our second ally we found in a rather unusual place, a pair of celestials asked us to find their sister in a place called Shadow Mulsantir...which is apparently some sort of shadowy mirror place to regular Mulsantir.
Anyway, we found her in the old Myrkul temple (yes that Myrkul...he plays a role in this game) and she introduced herself as Kaelyn the Dove.
Together with Gann and Kaelyn, Rith and Safiya went to fight Bear God Okku, and handily kicked his ass. As he begged us to kill him the weird power from before reawoke but we suppressed it from killing Okku. So as thanks he went with us to help fight this spirit-eater curse instead.
Finding a cure of course sends us all over the place, Shadow Mulsantir, a blighted forest (which we saved (yay!) and some other random places as well.
Presently we're at hag central, or rather near it...according to some gargoyles (that kidnapped Rith, don't ask) the hags in that coven might have some answers...I'm guessing we'll have to either gently persuade them or scramble them in order to tell us...should be fun.
Oh and Rith is forming a crush on Gann...I mean, who can blame her? At least he's already treating her better then her previous lover (but then, that bar wasn't very high to begin with )

So pretty much binged through Callisto Protocol and the story dlc. Overall it was a decent story, and left open enough to still have somewhere to go if a sequel eventually gets made. All the voice actors did a great job and the graphics were very impressive. Hopefully they will tweak the combat a bit more for the next one. Could have used some gadgets as well as a combat quick spin because you move like a tank. I also really don't like the extremely limited inventory space. You can get a decent selection of guns but ammo takes up so much space since noting stacks very well. Lastly, NO MORE VENTS!
Not sure what I'm going to start up next.

AC MirageGot one target done but also got another Shard which is the key objective. Actually for the shard first just really spending a lot of time looking for the next one...parts of two game play sessions...and poof...just in the middle of one of the areas I was looking in. Wop wop. The next Order target kind of thought it was in the middle of an area I've already been to so I decided to be a little aggressive in going about killing them all. But I used the poison trap maker in combat for the first time. On the bad news it didn't actually kill the guy but on the other side the noise from dropping it actually attracted them in one group...then they scattered to look for me which let me get the weak one with a knife kill. Then that gave me enough focus to take out the target and his other guard that was with him. Random exploring did help me get to two rounds of Lost Tales of Baghdad...or whatever. Both of them were actually pretty good in terms of some food for that and stories to tell. The sound design in the first one was really cool as it involved diving in the middle of a flooded building. But it was all unstable and collapsing and you could really hear it in the headphones. But: Lost Treasures (Tales of Baghdad)So while this one was a little bit more story focused and thus good in that much at least...it did strike a weird note.
The lady wanted me to go and rescue from tressure for her. The treassure was in the middle of a vase. Now I went in there and I was thinking to all be careful about the vase...I even carried it out of there because I didn't want to damage the thing. But then Basim said that there was no way he could get into the tressure without breaking the vase. So I dropped it on the floor...
and got bitched at by the lady for doing so who deducted the fee from my reward. Da frak.
Like AC Mirage is not that kind of game and this really wasn't presented that way but the reaction is making it seem like I actually had a choice in how I should've dealt with this situation. Was just frickin bizarre.

Neverwinter Nights 2
Gonna make it short since I'm pretty tired
Rithralia took out an entire hag coven (with some help), confessed her love for Gannayev (he accepted it) Honestly, the text in the feat you get when he becomes your lover is so good Did some side quests in order to tie up some loose ends
Went to Thay, met up Ammon Jerro (he had his soul taken, but we took it back) who told us the fate of our companions, met with Myrkul and granted him eternal peace (which we know isn't canon given BG3 and all that, but who cares )
Now we're going to search for the person who put the spirit eater thing inside us, get them to help us kick some ass and take down the Wall of the Faithless in a crusade, easy peasy

Played through a Galactic Conquest as the Empire in the OG Star Wars Battlefront. Each planet has two combat areas, you need to control both to take the planet. There's two different presets for each faction when starting a Galactic Conquest. One that starts out even, and one where your faction is on its last legs. I went with the latter and started out with full control of Bespin, and that's it. The Empire's conquest started on Rhen Var, taking both battle arenas easy-peasy, and then that's where the trouble started. Haha. The wilds of Kashyyyk, Naboo, Yavin 4, and the Mos Eisley settlement, all battles that ended in defeat. And not even close to be honest. The way the game works is after a faction earns four victories they can take out a planet, the Empire has the Death Star, and the Rebels can blockade a planet to take control of it. And with the scene set, and on the sand dunes of Tatooine, the Empire would make one heroic stand after another.
Again and again! And again and again and again! The Rebels faced slaughter on those very sand dunes, they never stood a chance. First, the Death Star obliterated Yavin 4, and then it was Kashyyyk, and eventually even Tatooine itself, thus is the lengths the Empire will go for victory. (Yeah, I really couldn't capture Mos Eisley. LOL.) When the Rebels had the chance to blockade either Bespin or Rhen Var did they? No, of course not. As all things lead to the contested planet of Tatooine. (I guess this is how AI is programmed, seemed kinda weird, but also pretty funny. They really wanted Tatooine! Haha.) The Empire eventually established a foothold on Naboo, and the end of the Rebels was at hand. The Rebels made a brief last stand at there stronghold on Hoth, and thus the Empire achieved total victory. Yeah, the desert combat arena on Tatooine so heavily favors the Empire, as the Rebels spend half there troops fighting Tusken Raiders. Really, you could go make a sandwich a probably come back to a victory. It was both annoying and hilarious how badly the Rebels wanted this planet. As I said before, the AI must be programmed to resolve contested planets first.

I've been eyeing it since I looked into relaxing games to play while sick, which I was recently (btw, I hope you feel better soon!). Your post and current 75% off were the last push I needed. Let me know how you like it. I'm having a great time with it. And it was so cheap too. A total steal. The music is great too. It's a very charming game. Has satisfying progression like Subnautica. The open world is divided into sections that need to be unlocked by upgrading the boat, which in turn is tied to story progression. I find it all very satisfying. The writing is very tongue in cheek. Enjoy!

BG3
I wasn't sure if sleeping around would mess up the relationship the male Paladin PC would have with Shadowheart so when Minthara wanted to jump his bones, I decided not to accept.
Of course I did read on this matter a bit and most discussions seem to agree that it's pretty fine to sleep around. Then there would the few that contradicted this and said so and so companion, example, Minthara, would be upset and so would Shadowheart. Rather than see my efforts go to waste, a no to everyone else who tried to entice the PC is the safer bet.
Act II is done. Going to Act III.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

Working on my Jurassic World Canada and this time we work on the big herbivore enclosure and run into an issue that was resolved even before we got there:
