Thank you for the advice dazk. As for stopping after romancing Cassandra and picking a prestige class (which I didn't get to do) by that point I was so worn out from doing every quest that I drew the line when I had to catch a Halla for some elves. So how long do you think I should spend in the Hinterlands? As for mods yes the game like Mass Effect: Andromeda is moddable via Frosty Tools although I use the old DAIToolsSuite mod manager since it's less buggy.

Just do the main quest stuff in The Hinterlands, speak to Sister whatever her name is and I think you may have to speak to The Horse Master but what he asks you to do can wait I believe. I too have not played for probably three years I think and my memory is terrible, might be worth using a guide.

I bought the game on release since my girlfriend at the time who is/was from Sydney like you was a big Dragon Age fan, and she pretty much pressured me to buy it lol. Anyway if It wasn't for her I would had never played Dragon Age 2 (which I enjoyed) as preparation for Inquisition.

The hinterlands literally killed my interest in replaying DA:I. It was also, combined with ME:A, what convinced me that Bioware can't do open worlds and they shouldn't try xD
Chalk me up as another person who advises everyone to get out of the Hinterlands early

If not I would highly recommend doing so and get recommendations from this thread from the very knowledgeable people with better memories than me as to modding it even though I played it for probably the 20+ time last year. Do a trilogy run since you like DA2 so much (it is one of my favourites too) but DAO was groundbreaking for the time and I feel whole heartedly that you'll probably replay it many times due to the different start/story options at the beginning. Definitely do this before DAI, there are things in DAO (and DA2) that tie into DAI as well. olnorton was a great help to me with modding DAO and DA2 and this thread is the place to post or here of course bsn.boards.net/thread/31/today-da-spoilers?page=638

I played it back when it first released and still play it once or twice a year since. My favorite Origins are Human Noble, Human Mage, and Dwarven Noble. I still have not tried Elven Mage, Elven commoner, and Dwarven commoner. Morrigan renewed my crush on Claudia Black who I had previously known her from Farscape and Stargate SG-1 and she even came in an episode of Xena. To this day I can't pick a canon romance between Morrigan and Leliana. My canon character is Cousland either male or female does not matter. Hated Teyrn Loghain for getting Duncan killed. Still can't believe what happened to Ser Jory during the Joining Ritual. As you can see unlike Inquisition I still remember the story and characters.

That's the same reason why I decided to try Inquisition again. I pretty much have Origin's memorized aside from the poor dwarf and elf origins and mage origin. DA2 I completely memorized I can never forget how horrific Meredith's death was in that game, and how Anders screwed over the mages by blowing up the Chantry. I know nothing about Dreadwolf save that it has to do with Solas.

The Hinterlands killed my enthusiasm for the rest of the game. I never found the Hinterlands difficult other than the devs should have put in a few more shortcuts so I didn't have to run the long way so many times. After I started using mods in the later PTs, if the character is on a height and the bottom isn't too far, I'll try jumping off than run the long way. The mini SQs are wayside filler annoyances. I have no expectations they would do any better for the next DA.

SWTOR
JK has made it to the last map to kick the Imps out of Corellia. Core story almost done on this character.
Lots of dead Imps already. The JK story is basically kill 100 Imps on every maps, that's not even counting the side quests stuff. But they are for peace you know.

Call of the SeaChapter 5 is pretty puzzle-lite compared to the previous chapters. There are a few scattered about, but they're all pretty easy. There are some odd tone shifts in this game though. It starts off pretty light in tone in Ch.1, shifting to a darker tone in Ch.3. And at this point, I expected the game to descend into full-on horror. But it doesn't... In fact, by the time we reach Ch.5, it's swung all the way back around to light again (tonally & visually). So yeah, it's basically... Norah the Explorer now. Only...

Dragon Age: Inquisition
Chose to recreate my old character. He is a male Qunari who wields a greatsword. Finished the prologue the inquisition has been reborn. I ran into a bug right before entering the Temple of Sacred Ashes and after meeting Cullen, a small rift would appear and when getting close the party would get killed over and over again. I fixed it by going back to a previous save before I entered the area. Is this game known to be buggy?

So I was trying to figure out why of the four Queens; Urraca, Eslonza, Eva, Eslonza II, Eva is the only one to wear the crown without a wimple. Their dress is decided automatically although I can change their clothes, their hairstyles and the hair colour. I left it alone because I don't see anything wrong with their raiment, etc.
However, this oddity stood out as I was looking back at forebears. The reasons I can think of is; the dominant faith is Catholicism which does not approve of sex outside of marriage. Urraca, Eslonza, Eslonza II all have affairs and bore children outside of marriage. Eva is the only one who did not. So the wimple is likely a sign of penance / pardon from their sins?
I'm guessing since the wimple was originally worn as a chin veil for modesty.

I fixed it by going back to a previous save before I entered the area. Is this game known to be buggy? There are some bugs and glitches. Nothing truly gamebreaking, but they can be annoying or amusing, depending on your mood. One thing I'd look out for is characters getting stuck in one place during combat. I.e. sometimes characters you don't control stop moving altogether during combat, imitating statues. My way of dealing with it was switching to said character and jumping. That unstucks them. It's not fun if it happens in prologue when you can't control companions. Been there...

Oh yeah I ran into this problem immediately after I first got control of my character in the beginning of the game. Both my Qunari and Cassandra were like statues I don't know how I fixed it. When I first played this game 10 years ago I did not experience any bugs. Can the problem be the three mods I am using?

I had the same problem in my unmodded playthroughs as well. Iirc, this particular bug was introduced in one of the patches and never got fixed. So if you played during one of early patches, it might simply not existed at the time.

Saints Row
Things are getting both tedious and not that tedious. Like any...well ideal business arrangement...I think I have reached a level of critical mass with the Saint's business ventures. I am making a lot of money and so much money I actually was able to upgrade all my gear that I really wanted to which provided some nice advantages since I am heading for the end game. I am quite sure. At least of the main story. On the other hand the frustrating thing about this game...a lot of the higher end ventures that give you lots of money seem to be very tedious busy work. Taking pictures, towing things, etc.
On the story front though things took a turn for the bizarre. I mean Saints Row but not sure in a good way. Granted I am not a lawyer so not sure how much I understand of the legalize involved in this situation per se and it kind of fits maybe, but also not really. The Saints start preparing for their party...until a laywer for Marshall comes in and informs us since there is a non compete clause in the contract we signed when we were emplyed by Marshal...we are not owned by Marshall. My character shoots him dead in response. From there we start a war with Marshal to get things back. Thing is though this makes no absolute sense what so ever since we are A. no longer an employee (the bit I am not one hundred percent sure) and B. a criminal organization. Its not like Marshal should actually be able to own us and us going to war with him instantly proves it.
On the other hand though this does start perhaps an interesting moral-of-the-story type situation in the game because our character is quite gun happy, this has been established many times throughout the game but Eli starts pointing out that this is a situation we may not be able to shoot our way out of. I kind of agree with my character though since, again, criminals and we seem to be going right for the head. But then Atticus points out that apparently he has a lot of relatives. So...that may not work. One of his board of directors points out that we can get him off the board, install her as President...if we hack an AI tank and go on a rampage. This does work and long story short we do get Atticus off the board.
But then this also creates an issue because the board decides to be split on the vote. And well we are revealed to be the tie breaker. Good news this does give us a choice to shoot him or not and given the themes of the game recently I vote the 'not' option. But this does make me wonder how we can pull this off because here we are, not even an employee, owned by Marshall...and somehow we are the deciding vote? This annoys me.
plague tale requiuem.
Speaking of annoyances. Its actually funny since Dragon's Dogma has been getting some controversy over having just one save slot which is overwrote constantly per character. Now given this is how DD 1 operated I am not exactly sure this is a bad thing per se. But now we have ample proof of just how wrong this can go because I am pretty sure I have hard locked myself out of further content, or well the game did.
So continuing on and rapidly got into some trouble. At first I thought I screwed up. The game was tutorializing rather deliberatley on continuing to use the new salt peter mechanic to douse flames and now you can spread a large amount of it to douse multiple flames. Cue two guards and a lot of rats. I thought I messed up and was supposed to get both guards doused so the rats could eat them and be distracted, yes that is a thing, but before I could one noticed me and started coming up. Thought I had really messed up...and was about to give up till I noticed another bit of meat just hanging down in the distance. Well I got it down and the rats feasted. Thought I was in the clear...
But nope. The next objective is to raise the portculis to get out of the area. Clearly a job for two people. Yes Lucas is nowhere to be found. Reloading the game and still no Lucas. Eventually I remember something and...sure enough...his moddle fell through the map and some stairs where just his head is sticking out and he can't move past it despite running to try and catch up. And sure enough since this game only has one save file at a time, I checked I'd have to go all the way back to the beginning, then well I would have to go back to the beginning of the chapter. Something I am not exactly in the mood for which makes this horrible game design. And the second time a promising philosophical game torpedoed itself with a really horrendous bug. RIP BioShock Infinite.

Dragon Age: InquisitionChose to recreate my old character. Not really it's always been pretty bug free for me. The only issue I've ever faced is sometimes when targettin gsomething and using a power the character doesn't move and yo uhav et opress the jump button o rsomething t owake them up and go again but other tha ntha tI'v ealways found it pretty bug free.

GoG Galaxy wouldn't load for some reason, so I couldn't play BG3 - so I played some Far Cry 6, instead. Dani stormed a military fort with a 60 year old tank and 5 guerilla fighters. But she didn't need the tank or the 5 guerilla fighters
