GW2It's April's Fool which means stupid things happens in GW2. Even came with with fake release notes. But the most important is the fashion show, with a tonic on.

Are the Scavanger Contracts difficult or just time consuming? I have one from some dude out in the ass-end of Nowhere, he wants me to collect some such from the giant Turtles....But I haven't found any yet, and I don't feel like going on these massive, tedious fetch quests. I ain't no Go-Fer! I don't play Fetch! Mostly just annoying and time consuming and the rewards I have gotten so far are not very good. There is one to rescue a salvage crew in a tunnel that does get you a lot of Greenshine as you explore. Where the blue icon is bottom centre.

I've onl ydon ethe firs tone so fa rbu t I hav ebeen thinking about whethe rI should be doing som eo fth eothers. I heard somewher you get an armour/outfit if you complete allof them but I don't know becaus eas I said outside th efirs ton ewhen yo ufirs tgo into th earea beyond Barren light he's the only one I've done. Finish all salvage contracts and the end reward is a legendary armour. There are 15 contracts in total given by four contractors. There isn't any request for components from the Shelllsnapper or tortoise machine but you may run into one. Three of the salvage contractors have four contracts each, the last has three which are the easiest imo. The one that's annoying is diving in the ocean for the parts and having to evade Snapmaws or crocodiles.

Knight of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
Still on Dantooine and went to the crystals cave and rescued the ever so delightful Master Vrook. After being chastised by him for rescuing him he went to Khoonda. What I like about the meeting with Atris and Vrook is that when they accuse the the Exile of turning their back on the Order. We can justify our reasons or just agree with the Masters, and yeah yeah Vrook makes a good point about the Mandalorian Wars spawning a more deadlier war. But I've always agreed with Revan and the Exile. So anyway went back to the Ebon Hawk to try out the new crystal I found in the caves and had a duel with Visas. She always nearly kills me. Learned some interesting lore about her species, planet, master, and abilities. Chose to spare her and cause no more harm. Kreia as always was unhappy with my decision. Now I have to go back to Khoonda and get ready for the battle with the mercenaries. Oh and yeah The Disciple is now my err.. disciple. He quickly became a Jedi Consular with crappy stats.

NHL 22So yes despite things I've continued to play off and on. Sometimes not too much then when I do play its a situation where I get like 10 games in a row in or something, ok bit of an exageration but not much. But the idea was at least with the current franchise with the Bruins I just might push it through to the end of this season. We will definitley see. But the idea since I started playing GR with the wife I don't really feel like playing anything else on the PS5 per se, I actually am tempted to do either another AC7 run or an Andromeda run...but both of those are games that don't have dual sense compatability which I like using so here we are kind of. Also I must say if there is one thing this generation has just been bizarre. Think I've mentioned it before to so hope I don't sound too much like a broken record but this console is a technoligcal marvel. The Dual Sense is a technological marvel. But I still feel like the amount of games and the desire to play it has not been as comesierate. I guess though the big thing that makes it such a marvel is the backwards compatability does contradict it being such a good marvel in other ways. Of course I'm not saying that the games are bad quite enjoyed Far Cry and Vahalla and Mirage and God of War, just keep running into weird backups like this. So yeah here we are. Still playing through hockey... Which the reason these posts tend to be inconsistent is that they are very casual games sports games, I honestly do these reports becuase way back I read you should keep like an entertainment journal if you want to be a writer and since these games are something I do every day figure I should inflict them on you...and as things go also really hard to remember the details that I want to put in since I like writing a lot of text for these posts and get into the gritty details. Maybe I should not care as much and keeping things vague is OK. Or maybe I should just continue to only post when things get interesting like I do now. Like I don't even remember the number of games I played last night. Just that I am up to like 54 wins of the year. And also think I traded for Joe Thorton since the last time I posted. Probably. Even thinking of turning up the difficulty but I do hesitate because I am not doing as good with certain players like they are doing IRL...but others are even doing way better so...*shrugs*. Main things though and the inpsiration for this post is I did discover an interesting niggle in the gameplay recently. See when you are editing lines in the franchise menu the PK and Power play lines are all on the same menu so I always thought the game treated them as 'one.' But always thought it was weird where the game would just swap out the 'D' part of the Power Player/ PK and have seperate forwards. It was odd. Well I finally confirmed it, think more or less by accident. Because when you want to change lines in an actual game 'circle' changes out the forwards and 'square' changes out the D groupings. Well I pressed the square button and it mentioned 'PPD' So like a powerplay D group. So that explains that and well something to keep in mind because I do like having Pasta getting out for the PP a lot when I have one. He has not scored a lot of goals for me in those situations...still annoying and a point of hesitancy for me not wanting to turn up the difficulty that I haven't figured out how to do so many hockey like things but especially a lot of those classic Pastranak one timer slap shots or his Snipe ability. Anyways he does not get a lot of PP goals but he does get a lot of Assists while on the PP so I do want him out there more soaking up minutes something to keep in mind. Speaking of the PP this was a little while ago but James Van Rymsdik actually had a hat trick in the first period all on the Power Play. He is also up to 30 goals now on the season. Last night general commentary and themes...after two years with this team thinking about tweaking and changing the lines more. Something I haven't really done a lot in this franchise because do love this Bruins team. But two things I have noticed that has led to this idea to change it. First off Debrusk has really been struggling this year especially given how well the team is playing on the diffculty he only has like 15 goals. I think this was also dragging down the third line a lot and meanwhile my fourth line also seems to go through bits where they just dissapear. So a recent injury happened and usually when this happened Fredric gets promoted to the 3rd line and just starts really scoring, he did so again and Debrusk had issues though he also got said 15th or 16th goal on the season. But when Krecji came back in a game last night I did decide to leave Fredric on the third line and put Debrusk down to line four. Debrusk hasn't really produced too well but Fredric as continued to prove my faith in him as he has gotten up to 20 goals with a few on the third line even in the wake of KRecji's return and a three assist night. So not only is he doing well but he seems to reinjected energy into the rest of the third line which was really stuggling as again Van Rimsdyk got up to his 30th and Coyle has 33 now. Secondly felt a little bad with Thornton... some buyers remorse, when I tried getting him in the off season his rating was just in the 80s so oooh good but when I got him his rating was only 79 which is worse then pretty much every one on the entire fourth line/ team except it ties Nosek. Yet I love Thornton and I feel bad for trading for the guy then not playing him so tempted to trade out someone on line four and put him in full time especially since depsite his rating a lot of the time he has seemingly added an extra jump to line 4. Like he only had 1 goal when joining me and now has 4 and really is playing well with Nosek. Given his age though and rating it does make sense just keeping him as a depth playing so he can 'rest' and only bringing him on an injury so so far am gonna stick with a 4th line of Foligno-Nosek-Debrusk...but then Foligno got hurt so Thornton is back in. For milestone and goal stories. Still find it fun about the first quarter of the season Bergeron just wasn't scoring and I don't care since Bergeron is more of a defensive assist focused player so it wasn't a big deal to me so he had a player meeting with me telling me how dissapointed he was in his play and I was like 'dude your fine.' And even happened again where he had a morale decrease because of his performance...well when this started he had 4 goals. He is up to 38 now. Its funny IRL Marchand is on career goal 399 for like the last few games and just keep waiting. Well in my franchsie he scored goal 400 on like his 32nd of the season...this is last year. Pastranak meanwhile has been up and done this season but still finds himself amongst the league leaders in goals and his 39th of the season is 300 on his career the game after Marchand got his 400th...Pasta has 346 goals on his career but I am still roughly a year behind. Ghost Recon WildlandsSo last night was deeply frustrating at least for the wife though for me too. She really hates Unidad. And really people diss Breakpoint all the live long day but this is the reason I prefer it to Wildlands. Just constant waves of reinforcements especially when dealing with UNidad and their little bounty star system just kept getting us as we had to kill someone in the middle of a unidad base then take a pic of him. Sure Santa Blanca is there but that wasn't giving us a lot of help. Just constant waves of Unidad and us running out of reinforcements. Since this is the first time I have really had it this high I was curious about something, we actually got the Unidad rating to max, all four stars. And just my question was 'what would happen?' because like in Mirage if you get the wanted state up to max an immortal will come after you you kill the immortal and it goes back down. Great system. Obviously something didn't exist this far back but still curious what would happen and my theory ended up being correct. While the wanted status didn't go away unfortunatley they did actually run out of forces. So in the end wifey killed the guy with a mortar strike but we couldn't get close enough to take a pic and on the second wanted level party wiped which was the second time it happened...we voted to put this mission on the back burner. So started to go looking for those really cool scope/ red dot flip sight thingies that you see and that the Ghost ACR automatically had equipped but the base one doesen't...and also the extended 30 round mag for the ACR. Found that in La Cruz in the middle of nowhere and onto Monte Puncu for the EXPS & G3 I believe its called. Far Cry 6Finished FC 6. Just continue to like this game a lot despite all my complaints...but it did strike me as something. FC seems to be a franchise with really cool story and villain beats but not that good gameplay design always or some bad gameplay level set pieces. The penultimate level of the game does not make sense. You have to infiltrate Castillo's island and get in there without being detected or Clara dies. The game then remvoes your inventory, your gadgets, and your amigo. Sure in some ways this might be the game's way of holding the players hand and the justification is that you can't take the equipment in on Juan's small boat. Except the game then gives youa access to all your stuff after the steatlth section including the SUpremo. *sigh*. Would have been really nice that you could swap out your loud supremo for the stealth one, wouldn't probably helped you. But then you just get access to everything later which invaldiates any potential reason for taking it away from you. This stinks. Then you do a massive battle where you lead the assault on Castillo's headquarters to neutralize him and of cours ehe kills Dieog then himself. So yeah this game is really good though from a story perspective and there is a lot subtext and stuff going on here. Namely again the whole truth or lies thing, Castillo's nature, and the nature of revolution and Clara. On the one hand you have Castillo and he betrays a parlay essentially to capture Clara. So a lie? Again probably but a certain point of view thing because we find him sitting and having dinner sort of thing and actually having a parlay...but then he also basically uses the situation to make Dani is general, at least that is the offer. Lot of interesting stuff going on. Then on Dani there is almost an informed character trait versus what is going on which could be bad writing but I do give it some credit because there is a kernal of truth in it and I think it might be some intention behind it. Juan, who is a dispicable SOB at times who makes deals, works with smugglers, offers to let McKay go for his own deal, and threatens to shoot Diego and has no remorse when he dies. This is a character who says that Dani is just like him and is, well ine ffect, a guerilla junky and a violence junky and does not actually have moral objections to what he is doing but just does not want the violence to end. And Castillo calls Dani monster, dictator, all those other things. But yet Dani when she is doing things is pretty consistently portrayed as having a consience, not wanting to kill Diego, not just being in it purely for the violence, and is trying to worry about some of the same stuff Clara is about the long term ramifications of what happens when the revolution ends. And of course Castillo also seems to respect and acknolwedge Dani as being a descent person to at least make the offer to help protect Diego and the reason he kills him probably has more to do with Dani's friends then Dani herself. And well Dani also does like the violence and also gets along with Juan despite how much of a dick he is...and well also she gives Yara over to the rest of her people and does not take it for herself. Lots of little momemts in this game.

FW San Francisco. A hilarious jaunt in some ways. An extremely annoying one in other ways, regards a NPC. I'll call him the Chief Executive Officer although the people around him don't know what it means. Some of them are not above worshipping Sobeck but won't bat an eye to killing Aloy despite her link with Sobeck. All in the name of ambition and greed. SPOILER!!!! Ted Faro became the monster he is and died a fiery death. How did he feel? Bound to that generator? Planning and plotting as his harem left him? No one could help him. All alone in that room. Mutating continuously for a thousand years. So much for his plans to "guide" the young ones. He didn't even look human at the end. Just a mass of flesh that the devs left to the players' imagination.
Does anyone have this strange phenomenon of Aloy veering to the left when she climb? Or the camera that somehow ended on right?

FW
I'm on the last leg. Just finished Zo's quest. Now started another companion quest. I think another companion will have a quest too or maybe not. There're a couple of NPC quests that need the flying mount so they're the last to be done.
I think maybe another few hours and the main game will be done. The DLC is next.

NHL 22Kind of a weird coincedence in the game session. Avs last IRL so wife suggested I have a 'revenge game'. Well I was thinking of kind of updating the Avs roster to match what they currently have more or less...and then it ended up being the trade deadline in Year 2 in my Bruins franchise so I got a chance to update both my rosters in a weird way. Of course since I don't know how long I will be continuing the franchise before moving on, or maybe buying another game if one of my teams win the Cup, maybe, draft picks don't really matter to me. From there roster construction in these games tend to be a combination of fantasy and getting the guys there that are in the team that you like. And with both the Avs and Bruins the twenty man roster really isn't enough, sacrifices have to be made. Though also ironically despite saying this on the Bruins end of things I still have wheeled and dealed to improve more or less. On the Avs got Sean Walker for Bo Byram kept Eric Johnson. Got Zach Parise for Evan Rodrigues and Casey Middlestadt for Lars Eller. And also picked up Johnathan Drouin...for someone. I do rather like how this game handles the trade deadlines. Probably one of the better modes I have seen since there is an actual deadline that counts down. Starts at 6 AM on the day of and ends at noon with it constantly counting down. Do wish their was some way of pausing it to look at things but I can get the implication to not do so. Its also quite interesting serendipity since the Bruins have a Dman on their current roster named Parker Wortherspoon, I like players with interesting names, he is doing decent for them, and I have excess of players who I was meh about. Tracked him down to the NY Islanders...who since I was playing next I wasn't actually thinking of trading for because that is kind of weird for me to do that. But then the trade deadline happened so I ended up moving Orlov, who is no longer on the Bruins so meh to him, for Wortherspoon. Like Orlov is a rated 10 overall more then Wortherspoon and he only has a 74 rating...in the current game to so there goes that plan...so it was by no means a 'good' trade. But hadn't played Orlov in awhile and again he was someone I wanted. Next up scrolling through it and on the main screen for the trades there is a list of people on the trading block. Well the annoying part is everytime there is a trade it just starts over from the beginning. Well though it worked out for me as noticed that Tyler Seguin was on the block for the Stars and he is another Bruin from a few years back who I liked and was annoyed they got rid of so I was quite eager to pick him up like I did Joe Thornton earlier in the season. So in order to make sure I got him flipped Derek Forebort, a Bruin player still on the team but hasn't been playing in a while and rumoer has it he might be in the doghouse so there is that, and still wanted what I wanted...and gave up a first round draft pick. The message from the Stars GM was all like 'wow my team is going to think I am GM of the year thank you.' I think implying that he really thinks he got away with a steal and there is some context there but jokes on him because again really not trying to do the whole draft thing. Not yet anyways and don't think I ever will get too much into it. So Avs games in exhibition. The Revenge game against the Blue Jackets went pretty well. 5-0. Pretty good note all my offensive/ forward additions had goals in the game...in addition to Mackinon and Rantenen. Middlestadt probably had one of the nicest of the newbies as he did one of those things where he collected the puck on the nearside boards, rushed towards the net, and put it in on the backhand. Then Rantenenen had a great breakway where he put the puck on the net, the goalie saved it...but the rebound came right back to him and he buried it point blank. I do rather like just how much of an Avalanche team this Avalanche team feels like. Parise seems to be the odd man out with how I have the roster constrcuted since he is not a Center...but is now my fourth line center. He did win some faceoffs and obviously got a goal so good start. But this team is fast. MacKinnon is one of the fastest players in the game but Drouin and Parise was also just consistently getting into the open ice on breakaways even though they didn't always score they did put pressure on. Then on a lark played a random game and turned up the difficulty. It was against a pretty descent team to in the Capitals to so All Star Difficulty against a high flying offense...gulp. And I won 4-1. Middlestadt had his second goal in two games for me, Landeskog had two goals, including an empty net, MacKinnon I believe had another. Just quite a game and its kind of fun just the higher the difficulty the mroe realistic it feels in general. I actually had some neutral zone puck battles and just wasn't able to get into the zone a lot of the time. They also got a lot of shots on net but Gieorgiev stood well, 32 saves on 33 shots. I had like 40 something. Still kind of what bothers me about this is this can also happen during even pro difficulty. Like in the Bruins franchise despite everything else my goalies have suddenly developed a leak. Though realize first game, against the Blue Jackets, did quite well on, second game though they kept nipping at my heals for like a 7-4 game. Game against the Blues they started off quick getting a 2-0 lead, I would pull within one at the end of the first then I believe the tying goal early in the second had a neat exchange where Seguin fired the puck, it bounced off the goalie and then Riemsdyk battled at it and it ended up in the net, initially they ruled it not a goal but then changed their minds I guess because the goal stood. Soon after like very next play Coyle picked up his 35th on a breakway. Other goal notes Pasta had a 2 A game in one of them then the next game picked up his 42nd, Zacha had a crucial goal to get to 47. Bergeron is up to 41 as well and as far as the newbies Wortherspoon picked up an A on a play as he was filling in for the still injured Shattenkirk and so far Seguin has had 2 G and an A in the two games he has been with us...weirdly enough his first two goals of the season. So right now rolling with 3rd line of Van Riemsdyk-Coyle-Seguin and fourth line of Debrusk-Thornton-Fredric...when Foligno gets back from his injurying going to once mroe have to decide what to do with things but right now as it stands going over Thornton over Nosek and may roll though Foligno-Fredric-Debrusk when he returns. Ghost Recon Wildlands Picked up my red dot/ scope and off to Tabacal we went. The one with Madre Cocoa. On the mission where we had to protect the union guy put a grenade launcher on my ACR so I could lob grenades at the vehicles I knew would be coming. ANd the mission glitched so they guy got killed. Next time keeping it in mind decided to stay more in the little compound he was working at, it still gltiched but I let the Cartel come to us and still launched more grenades and we held. Off to do some random adventures and missions. Hmm no actually it was on the way to the wiping out all the Sicarios harassing this town. We did so but a fun little thing happened on the way. One of the rebels actually got in the helicopter with us. Wifey was quite tickled by that. And we killed all the sicarios. Next little thing another unique set piece which has rarely happened. Hunting for an SB LT in an area at night and we discovered that everyone was asleep so we snuck in. Killed the first two guards sleeping with precise coordinated shots, just standing over them and whispered shots. Then with the LT couldn't kill him but we rushed in, killed his guard then I rushed in and grabbed him as he woke up...what a wake up call. Finished off with us blowing up the cocoa stocks in the area. Nice little sniper's paradise, first genuine one I had in awhile. This time the wife was a little eager to rush in but had a nice sniper perch and a good rifle so still engaged. Still I think i was the one who caused them to get all antsy and aggressive with a missed shot on a sniper...so they charged in though. And again still had a hundred plus meter shots of pretty open ground to provide support to wifey and thin the crowd. Things got intense when Unidad showed up of course, no patrol this time we killed them, but when they show up it always causes a little rush so I was already down advancing on the objective to rejoin with the wife by the time I realized the area was still secure. Still blowed up the cocoa and had a few neat gun battles. Plus in the end took out the final sniper in the base with a precise ACR shot and not MSR shot for once.

At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

We are here, right back on this planet but this time on the cold zones where we are going to make some great use of the knowledge we got from the first game and move forward big time, button seems we forgot to be stingy with the oxygen supply:

Had to put WotR on hold for now. I think I hit a point where mods are conflicting and causing issues. And unfortunately they get baked into the saves so I'd have to start from scratch...so I'm just gonna wait for the last dlc to hit at this point.
So I started up Banishers for now. It seems like its going to be good. I like the atmosphere and characters so far, so here's hoping it stays interesting.

GW2So about a month ago GW2 added new weapons to all classes, but unlocking those require getting an achievement in an episode in SOTO. And you can only access that episode if you completed episode 6 of SOTO. I'm at #5 now, but so much busy work just to access some weapons. People starting the game needs to do like 100 hours of storyline to get there (it requires SOTO expec but there was no reasons to lock that behind an episode). Not sure it was the best design decision. Dragon's Dogma 2Game: go on pleasant jaunt with a companion. Also Game: make sure it's a downpour all the way. It even stopped raining once the escort mission was done. Oh and I started to work on the main storyline now, 50 hours doing side stuff is plenty, even if I didn't do everything.

Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
Reactivated HK-47 and forgot how talkative HK droids are. The HK-50 droid on Peragus talked my ear off. It's funny if you read the data pads and watched all of the holo vids everyone speaks about how much the Hk-50 droid talks, and their predecessor HK-47 is no different. We had a long conversation and his sense of humor seemed to be intact. That's all i did yesterday by the time HK-47 stopped talking I was sleepy and went to bed lol.

I am at 85 hrs and have uncovered about half the map.
No time to play today but yesterday I ran into an animation glitch and had to reload. I tried fast-traveling first but that didn't fix it. After reloading, I had to fight a machine mob again and the mass of cars I had been looting before the glitch happened had hardly any loot in them the second time around. Most of my time was spent around the lake in the north central part of the map. I spent probably 30 minutes chasing salmon in the lake for bones and skin, and then waiting for more to spawn (haha, pun intended ). Then I traveled to Salt Flat (I think that's what it's called) to do the cook quest there. Had to go find some bird meat and goose eggs on the islands in the nearby lake. Of course the eggs were guarded by a Widemaw, and after the Widemaw was taken care of, Glinthawks came calling for their share of the salvage.
I finished up getting stuck on a stupid crate puzzle for one of the ornament relics. Watched a video of how to solve it so will do that next time. I feel like they took some inspiration from the Talos Principle with these crate puzzles.

I am at 85 hrs and have uncovered about half the map. I think my fiddling around with the console version a year ago may have something to do with my speed because I know the sequence of the main story and almost all of the other quests. Too, I'm on story mode and most of the machine fights are not too difficult. If I were playing on hard or ultra hard, I think I'll take longer to uncover the entire map.

FW I've started the final stretch of the main quest so I'll be getting a flying mount soon after the present dialogue, more talking, grabbing an item and more fighting. I'll definitely finish the main game by today. For NG+, Aloy will have the flying mount but she will not have access to it until after the Embassy event.

I for the love of god cannot get the Transmog to work.
I have an outfit equipped, go to another in the inventory and hit "F" to apply look and it does nothing. What am I doing wrong? Do you have to do it at the Workbench I don't think I saw the option for that.

I don't think a workbench is needed because I did it after the San Francisco event and Aloy was standing out in the open. Try standing at the workbench and see if it works? Otherwise, I don't know what's wrong.
