Down to the final battle.
Of the new companions, Kotallo is the best. 👍 This is where the writers did a great job with his character and Aloy's compassionate and empathetic interaction with him.
Alva is bright, clever and eager for knowledge. She's like Sylens but without his icy gruff arrogance. I'm not sure how she is going to survive back with the Quen given that she will run into deep doo doo after tasting the freedom of delving into any data and open discussion with Aloy's group.

I am at 85 hrs and have uncovered about half the map. I think my fiddling around with the console version a year ago may have something to do with my speed because I know the sequence of the main story and almost all of the other quests. Too, I'm on story mode and most of the machine fights are not too difficult. If I were playing on hard or ultra hard, I think I'll take longer to uncover the entire map. Yeah you know what you'er facing already we don't. All we have to g oon is what we ma yor ma ynot hav seen on youtube for example I wa climbbin gth emountain abov em ybase for a ques tamnd got a bit los tas I didn' tknow where i wa ssupposed t ogo doing hte Signal Spik equestbu tI go thtroug hi tin th eend. I heard the leve lcap in this game is 50 and I'm 37 so I think I'm almnost up to the poin twhere Alo yshould be abl et ohandle jus tabout anything tha the enemy might throw at her. That's no tt osa yshe migh tno trecieve an ass kickin gthou ghfrom time t o tim ewit hthose Zeniths having shield tech. I'm guessing w efind a way around tha tlater in th egam ethough especiall ygiven what happened to the lad yon the mountain fighrting the Tenakht in the mission we pick up Beta in. I think my Aloy could use a weapon like that right about now.

FW Finished the main game. Sylens is going to die off screen in the third installment since Lance Reddick has passed away. Unless GG could get someone with a voice that sounds like his and his manner of speaking. There is a glitch regards Kotallo's quest. He'll ask Aloy to do his personal quest but he'll ask her again even though it's completed. It'll also take place somewhere else. I checked at the second place based on what he said because there's no quest marker and this "second" personal quest does not appear in the journal. He's not there. I did a search. Some players said they did it a second time. Most said they did the first one. As long as the first is completed and there is dialogue after regards this, it's considered completed so his second "reminder" can be ignored. Once the Sunwing mount is acquired, it's best to do the connected quest because there's no getting off the mount except for the event of acquiring the Tallneck that can only be reached from the air. Getting on the Sunwing after continues to lock Aloy in the connecting quest. Once completed, Aloy can get off the usual way. I didn't encounter any quest glitches that would cause a quest lock out. DLC next.

Ghost Recon Wildlands
Kind of funny its just some nights you spend hours playing games and don't get anything done and some nights you barely have any time at all and yet are doing missions left and right and getting stuff cleared. Though I do think there is a little bit of a bottle neck of stuff to do potentially when you hit a new region but once you get established again you can do the main story in a region pretty easily.
Anywho loaded in and wifey was already starting a mission so had to go off and do that. Had to go interrupt a convoy which was carrying this Sicario LT for Madre Cocoa named Salazar. It was really neat watching the missles from the wife fly down range as we pursued in a little bird and I was in the side seat. But then when we landed it was just amazing that he survived since all that fire set off like a chain reaction explosions of even his car I think. And then the car next to him exploded and richoched into him...but he somehow lived. Wifey didn't as she fell down, actually it was a weird day with death too...so I got him over to our extraction helicopter and then revived her.
Next mission I think was to find the medal and the SB station. Nice little sniping in here. Kind of fun to because it was one of those situations where I thought wifey blew our cover on the way in but instead they quieted down right as I was starting to snipe them. Lots of neat sniping from both of us, the highlight of which I sniped someone through tree foliage.
Then it became quite hilarious because we triggered the mission where Madre Cocoa betrays us at the negotations and we are forced to kill her. But then right as that was happening I was trying to get a set of skill points on a whim. Well I didn't realize that the two locations were one on the same because I don't think it was even on the map! So the only indication we were doing the mission was when Nomad was all like 'ambush!' And it also curiously enough happened in an opposite direction from what happened before since, what I think is supposed to happen where we drive up with the guy and then she is all like 'muahha' but we were in the air in a helicopter trying to set up recon so we could see into the area and snipe. This triggered the quest anyways but we were on the exact opposite end where I've ever done this before...and right where she usually comes in so I took my MSR got a guard and got her in three shots. But then things got nuts because that played the video and wifey played the video which does not pause the game like she was insisting and something else we confirmed earlier in the game...so left me to fight all the guards on my own effectively. We made it but boy was it fun.

Forbidden West
Got the ornament that gave me trouble last time then moved on. Cleared another rebel camp and discovered the Prometheus leader's name while foiling more of their plans. I think geographically, I just crossed the Sierra Nevada and made it to the Redwoods. Found another settlement, Cliffside, and after several failed jump attempts, got to the head of the local Tallneck. Now I can see the coast on the map! Had my first encounter with Clamberjaws aka monkey-shaped machines.
After helping a local with some machine hunting, I will probably head towards the next main quest location. I don't think Aloy can put flowers in her hair?
dazk Re the transmog, I kind of did it by accident. I decided I should probably use some better tier armor but wanted to keep the Nora Anointed look. I equipped the Tenakth something or other (Vindicator? the purple one) and then clicked something and it looked like the Nora armor again. At first I thought I had switched back what I was wearing but it just applied the look of the Nora armor instead and now the option says 'remove look' instead of 'apply look'. Maybe you are over-thinking it?

"Back to work, 621."
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon
I finished the game in NG+ (for the ending "The Fires of Raven") and NG++ which is required to get the true ending "Alea Iacta Est". Each replay on the same save file adds alternate missions and some twists to existing ones, and you need to pick a certain path to get the third ending. Loved how the voice in the protagonist's head, Ayre, makes a joke mid-game in NG++ that foreshadows the third ending. Loved the gameplay and while I'm not great at it, I did pat my own shoulder after finishing the final mission without any restarts.
Might as well shoot more robots, right?
Terminator: Resistance
Played through the main campaign, managed to keep all companions alive to the end, whew! This is a fine little AA game that I think fans of the franchise will enjoy. It is set in the apocalyptic future briefly portrayed in the first two Terminator movies where John Connor leads the human resistance against Skynet's advancing machines. They managed to fit the protagonist into the existing story quite nicely, the atmosphere is fittingly grim and you get to meet some likeable people that you want to help and keep alive. You can shoot, sneak, lockpick (Skyrim style) and hack door and turrets to deal with all those fricking terminators (and other things that Skynet has up its sleeve). Off to the DLC campaign!

FW DLC
The main quest is ok but I don't care for the tag along Aloy got for the DLC. The NPC's young, pouty, impatient with the typical Quen and youthful arrogance. She can't take the pressure of disapproval and threatened capital punishment because she broke rules to do what is right. The banter is lame. An effort to build up rapport between the two. Fail, imo.
The other new companions are more mature and respectful.
I've yet to finish the DLC. I'm pushing the main story first because I want to kick the tag along out of the way and then settle down to explore and do the side quest which is a reasonable development regards Quen society. It's hardly surprising and yet encouraging.
If I remember right, the flying mount can be upgraded to dive underwater but I could be mistaken. There's also a new advance weapon. Yes, advance legendary weapon. Also a new machine that's going to annoy because it's like the Geth and their drones that creep up behind you and zaps the hp out of you except this one sprouts a lot of drones, likes to pounce and vomits large streams of acid. I would have said to go for aerial shooting except that I never tried it.

FW DLC Burning Shores One last fight and that's it. The advance weaponry, the Specter Gauntlet is useful but it uses shards and fires 10 shots before it heats up. There's only one upgrade for it. Picked up another side quest so I think there are about two in total. I saw a ruin and I don't think there's anything else to get except stuff locked away by firegleam etc. The Sunwing is changed to Waterwing. It's not an upgrade but a new flying mount found at Burning Shores. It can dive into the water and swim a bit but it's not a underwater machine so it's not meant for underwater traversal.

Ghost Recon Wildlands.
Sometimes you are in the zone and sometimes you aren't. Kind of difficult though too because when it comes to using a suppressor in this game with the extra bullet drop that it adds does make one want to take it off but there is two problems A. I am not one hundred percent sure where the line is and what constitutes 'the line' in this game and B. I also don't want to explain every time to wifey the different especially if I do end up being wrong that would be annoying.
Off to Remanzo to start going after El Gato. Again in this case it was weird on didn't get too much done, at least it didifn't feel that way but I guess when you throw in the convoys that would help.
By far the most by the book but also the mission...hmm no we had Unidad troubles in the first part. But going after the evil SB doctors was really relatively a sinch aside from Unidad. We were able to sneak in I think this time from the opposite end of the town/ building they were in. Just sniped a couple guys in a building across the street and that opened up the path to them. So got into the building and just put them down as easy as you cna please, fun fact though they did actually pull out pistols and start shooting at us but we were able to put them down virtually no problem with us going in there.
Next up one of my favorite missions of the game going after the chemist in the church or something the one that can quite easily rabit. Yeah this is the guy that I shot at the alarm but was quite surprised that someone actually heard it, then I missed that someone so he indeed started rabitting. And well as Obi-Wan says this is where the fun begins because I always get a viseral thrill shooting at his cars jsut before he gets in them so he has to keep on running around. This time though he actually managed it on the third vehicle and despite me putting two rounds into the engine block for some reason it didn't stop him. Fortunatley wifey was there and with her quick thinking and following on from the last mission something like this happened tore off after him on the ground. I followed along on foot trying to help if it was needed and it wasn't. So she request a helicopter and I just found it hilarious with this context just how exausted Nomad stopped running. Got in the helo and extracted them.
Then the good ole bullet drop and the issues I mentioned at the top screwed me over. Once more was just so confident in my shot and I did compensate slightly for bullet drop but I could've sworn, like last time, that 246 meters with an MSR shouldn't have caused too much issue. And I guess I was close...but I did miss...and kept missing. Out of disgust I ripped off my suppressor and then the bullet hit him with very extreme predidice. While that was going on though the wife was forced to engage and I was distracted that a lot of the sicarios came out to play. Started laying in MSR fire on them as they came in and the two of us swept through the perimeter. Which again is the reason I don't mind missing always because sometimes, as usual, it actually speeds things along. The mission was capped off when vehicle reinforcements came in and we both tossed grenades in blowing it up before they could even deploy and wifey made a comment about how much she loves blowing things up.
Funny moment of the play session after getting all the intel a SB LT car went flying by. I actually blew the tires because on a whim we engaged. Then the wife grabbed the guy for reasonsk, stuffed him in the back of the jeep so he'd drive with us...then blew him up with C4 after we abandoned the Jeep on the way to the mission of the chemist.

FW Burning Shores Glad to kick the tag along. The writing, imo, has gone down because Burning Shores feel rushed. Whoever wrote Kotallo did great because of the way this character developed after a traumatic event, that he come to accept himself. His interactions, exchanges and little quips with Aloy brings Whoever wrote the tag along didn't do that great because she has no endearing traits, unlike the other new companions. Her remarks made me and she comes across as uninteresting and irritating. Their exchanges are cringey at times. I was going; WTF? I chose the negative answer at the end because realistically, Aloy has too much on her plate in the coming days. She has just reached the point where she is forming stronger relationships, to trust and have confidence in her friends. Additionally, she has suffered a deep blow. She wouldn't have any inclination for anything else. The last two final fights are NUTS!!! I died several times, getting whacked left and right, getting electrified and zapped from all directions. I lost my bearings and was stomped as well. I want to stomp the mob corpse at the end and yelled; Die you SOB!!! Anyway, going to explore Burning Shores, get the side quests done and then off to an epilogue conversation with Sylens and final dialogues with all the companions.

Yeah I think ew're all starting to move towards the end game now as I read that the game is kin dof divided into 3 parts. The first part being the sectoin up to an dsecuring your base of operations .The second part being putting Gaia back together with her subordinates and the 3rd part being everything else after that. I stil have to retrieve Demeter but I have the other 2 but once I' mdone there I know I'm in the end game. Hoping to retrieve Demeter today but I want to do a couple of other quests first, like Talanah's so no t100% sure I'll get round to it given a coupl eof other sidequests down south hav eshown up as well. It really depends on how quick I work through them. I am level 40 now though so hopeful I shouldn' trun into anything I can' thandle for the rest of the game.

Banishers has been fun so far. I'm enjoying the atmosphere and the hauntings I've done so far have been solid little stories.
Only real complaint would be the combat camera is zoomed in a bit too much for how many enemies they sometimes throw at you. Kinda making it artificially more difficult just cause you can't see much around you.
Also pretty cool detail, is it seems to be in the same universe as their previous game Vampyr. Has some references to a few groups from that game so far.

Persona 5 TacticaDefeated the second hardest boss so far, Lord Yoshiro. The fight took me 5 days, since I got struck by a fever half way through the second phase and was rendered useless for 5 days, only now mustering the strength to pick the game back up and whack him back into the pit from which he came from. And yes I blame him since surely the overload he did on my brain caused this, not some common cold. Alas the game did not count the time into my playtime. The break did end up being a boon since I stopped constantly running into the reinforcement cameras (sometimes twice in the same turn ) and was generally more clever on how I did things. May also have switched team members and upgraded the equipment. Either way then he made me cry over combat, now he made me weep for the feels. Good times. The most hard boss was picking a name btw. It really should've been a non issue since I have so far not remembered any of the Persona/SMT protags custom names and frankly I've already forgotten what I picked for this one, but it still took me like a month to just settle upon some random name. So that's fun. So far been having a blast. The art style is really cute and the dialog is funny as usual. The tactics stuff hasn't been too bad so far but like that might be changing. I am digging the story and having fun trying to guess the twists with limited success. Or well, just two successes and many many failures. But that's fun too. Now here's hoping the next ruler is a bit less bad for my health.

Dragon's DogmaThey could have put more stuff into some of the main quests. I had more complex side quests than any main quests so far. I'm also picking allies and high affinity people way too easily. GW2
Unlocked the new weapon sets. The steps to acquirement them looked daunting, but then I saw that if you did the meta you were basically done with the hardest part (gaining map currency) and well the meta was on its last few events when I joined. I just didn't realize it at the beginning since I've never been there. But the events I was doing (one of the story step is just to do events) was right next to where the final map event take place (big boss) so I joined it once I realized it. Then I tried Ele pistol and it sucks at low levels (I had no elementalist character so I had to make one), then I tried hammer and it was better, but I think Ele just isn't for me. Too much element switching. So I decided to make a Warrior to try the staff on it and that's been fun. It's a support weapon, but it hits hard so it feels great. I tried the Necro sword on one of my Reapers and that was weird. The are ranged weapons, but I was trying to use them in melee. lol. I might try to level a new Necro using them. Necro will remains my fav I suspect. I didn't try the others, yet. Pistol on Guardian was basically the only other that was interesting me anyway.

FW Burning Shores There's a cauldron on the island. Additionally there are five figurines to pick up but I'm not sure I want to bother with them. A new type of trade item called the Brimshine is needed to buy some of the legendary weapons. I'd say buy them for NG+. Aloy also ran into an old friend at the Ruin. Brought a smile when I saw him. He brought cheer and noise to an otherwise usual jaunt. I didn't go the races in the main game but I suspect they lead to another familiar face. I know he's in the game but I didn't run into him so it has to be races that would lead to his appearance. I'm using the flying mount to explore than the boat because you can whistle up the mount at any time while the boat is at fixed points. Edit. Oh. This is unexpected. The old friend became part of the group. I think he's going to be very helpful in the third installment if Aloy gives him a focus. This means that she might pull in the guy behind the races. I think I'll do the races after Burning Shores. Now I'm wondering if the end NPC after the melee pits would play a part too in the third game. But as the old friend is someone Aloy met in the first game, she knows him better, including the guy behind the races so end melee pit boss might not be made part of the gang. I chose the braniac answer for the old friend, make him think and realise something rather than keep him in the dark. It's better for him to understand people better, imo.
