So I've been seeing speculations that there could be a Kassandra crossover with Origins. The thing is, I'm not overly fond of Origins and didn't finish the PT. Gee, if there is a crossover, I'll probably have no choice but to finish the PT. 😄 I liked Origins but I didn't like the combat or the fact you were forced to switch between Aya and Bayek like you were Evie and Jacob in Syndicate. The story was good and the setting was great but I also did not like the DLC, although to be fari the first one would not launch the several times I tried it it would just crash the game and then eventually broke the game so I abandoned ever playing it. The second DLC I didn't even try because I watched what it was about and the combat was all I hate in combat. It's worth finishing the story I think.

That Witcher 2 scene with Geralt saying "They''ll never learn" combined with the setting encouraged me to play my first AC game AC3.

The second DLC I didn't even try because I watched what it was about and the combat was all I hate in combat. It's worth finishing the story I think. That is correct. The combat isn't as versatile as Odyssey and Valhalla. I rely almost 99% on range, unlike Odyssey and Valhalla where I enjoy going melee as well. Additionally, the skill tree is bad and a joke. It certainly doesn't promote the feeling of advancement when no new skills are learned and that you're just enabling the ability to earn more xps when using a certain skill. It should have been the default feature in the first place. I felt I was wasting my time when I saw the skill tree. I'll eventually get around to finishing the story (after Valhalla) at least though I'm not very impressed with what I've experienced so far. It could be due to watching many Kdramas / Cdramas where losing family members and getting revenge is more or less the starting point / back story. Bayek and Aya don't stand out to me. Yet. Since I typically progressed slow in the main story and usually focus on opening up the map.

Quite a few games have been remastered in recent years. I'm wondering if Ubi would go for a remaster of the first and second AC game. Improve the combat too.

AC2 had a bit of a remaster once already with the Ezio Collection, and AC1 is too old for a remaster. It needs a remake.

My nightmare run for Origins is done. I think it's stronger for being shorter than Odyssey, even if Odyssey is the better overall game. The Witcher influence is evident in the quest design, way more than Odyssey imo. And the side quests are better than those in Odyssey, not to mention Valhalla. I finished at level 38 which is kinda low given the difficulty. My only beef with the game is it focusing on Aya at the end. You even face the last boss with her which is bullshit. I've been building Bayek up for 30 hours, don't make me switch to someone else. I know some at the company wanted her to be the main character so I suspect influence there, of shoe horning her in. I hope Ubi will return to this kind of reactive environment in the next game because England is lifeless compared to Egypt. For some stupid reason they removed many open world systems and replaced them with endless environmental puzzles.

This is just about the AC comics to be released this year, with new characters in China and guesses that if Ubi set up the next AC, it would be in China.
If there's a new AC, I doubt it'll be out this year. Maybe in another two years.
Edit. There's a lot of Chinese mythological animals, etc so if they do, they have many to choose from to play as adversaries, like in Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla where players fight against mythical figures.

What he's hoping for regarding items in Reda's shop isn't going to happen. It's going to be tattoos, more tattoos, decos and other stuff before armour and weapons. The changes for Reda's shop located at the Ragnarok regions sound troublesome.

It was my first AC Game and I liked every part of it even Connor/Ratonhnhaké:ton AC Rogue AC Ezio AC Syndicate would have been ahead of Ezio games but "personality goes a long way" Samuel L Jackson Pulp Fiction EDIT: Lest out Origins AC Valhalla AC Unity AC Liberation

It's Odyssey. 😄 Origins started it first but the division that made Odyssey added lines in.

"Smaller in scope" is all relative, especially when you can get over 80hrs+ and Ragnarok is 40, assuming you know what you're doing.

I mean...if they're telling me Basim is popular, I guess I believe them. Unless they think they can reverse engineering positive public opinion for the character, it doesn't seem like there is a huge incentive to lie. And hey, I've extremely disliked popular characters before (and the reverse is true as well), but this seems odd. I wish them good luck, and bid them farewell

Really who is making these decisions?????? Definitely a fence sitter at this stage, have no real interest in Ragnarok at least Origins, Odyssey were rooted in reality whith some "Fantasy" mythological bits but a full on Fantasy expedition with regards to Ragnarok just isn't what I am looking for in an AC game or any game for that matter. Basim was a fairly ordinary NPC in Valhalla and his ascent into Loki was interesting but very little interest in a game based on him. As slimgrin727 said some really stupid choices or at least really weird ones.

Definitely a fence sitter at this stage I'm not even sitting on the fence. The fence is some way in the distance, obscured by things I actually want. And even things I don't know I want. Baghdad is a cool idea, but beyond that - hard pass.

It was originally planned as an expansion so I'd expect an area maybe like Ireland or smaller. The time period is likely before he met Eivor so his goals would be looking for you-know-who, Hidden Ones targets and other minor stuff.
Play as Basim is not on my cards. I heartily dislike him. I don't care if he's supposedly "Loki". He's not. He's Isu. Skipping this one.

Baghdad is a cool idea, but beyond that - hard pass. If the game play reverts to a more traditional AC game in terms of stealth and actually being an Assassin that will at least get me interested. If Basim is played as Basim not straight up Loki and is played as Basim the Assassin with maybe some minor stuff that has him being corrupted by Loki's personality or whatever and exploring some Isu stuff again I may be interested but I am definitely more not interested than I am interested definitely at this early stage.
