Why do some people who play multiplayer get so lost in their own egos that they aren't capable of holding a conversation without constantly harping on how they're better than everyone?

Well, this is easy... a handful of typos converted "artistic, inspired" into "autistic infected." Score one for the "good guy thesis."



Aha, see, all those posts about being the best and how unfair it is to be outplayed (in a contest no one was in but you) were disguising the more obvious point about fairness for everyone. By "everyone" I mean, of course, the "artistic, inspired" people.



Only an amateur would interpret this as a super-creepy and condescending come-on. Smart people can clearly read this as an example of friendliness, the very friendliness that (I'm told) women really love! Extra points if the friendliness comes with the assumption that a woman wouldn't know how to play the game.

I would keep looking for more evidence, but it would be a waste of time, really, the conclusions are already inescapable. These are not examples of hyperbolic confirmation bias, but rather the template for the übermensch.
