Are we really psychoanalyzing a silly comic strip just poking fun at some equally silly scenes? Jeez. Would my Shepard actually shoot Addison on sight? No. But I'd be lying if I wasn't taken aback by her animations and horrid makeup.
I always think when I see PB tackle Ryder is that Shep's Squad would never let that slide.
My Shepard wouldn't
If it was me, I would see her coming at me. Step aside and watch her fly by me landing on the ground. As she is wondering how I was able to avoid her, I would look at her wondering what the heck is her problem. Of course I probably would laugh at how stupid she looks with that painted stripe across her eyes
If she did knock me to the ground, I would use the momentum to grab her and fling her over me. She would end up seriously injured. I would get up, walk over and grab her scrawny little neck wondering what-the-**** is her problem.
If I didn't do that, she left herself exposed for serious injury. Her head, neck and mid-section were exposed for me to do some damage. Imagine what would happen if I was to punch her in the throat? Depending on how hard I hit her there, she would be in serious trouble.
If I was one of the squadmates and saw my pathfinder knocked to the ground, I would smash the asari in the face with the butt end of my weapon.
That whole scene was crap. Why does it take 15-20 seconds for an interrupt to pop up for Ryder to throw, if that's what its called? Of course having dumb and and dumber stand there doing nothing didn't help.
Its too bad there's no option to not have her join the squad

Male Ryder has an own long enough Military Service on the Relay 202 ( Acturus ) and there is no idiot stationed. And the Pathfinder need an Man/Woman who can see all sides of an Medal and not only the Military side of it, like Shepard.
If we came to Andromeda to conquer it and wage an war, Shepard would the best for it, but we came here to settle down and get friendly with the inhibitants of it, if they are capable of it and here the Ryder Twins are much more better suited.
EDI and Legion would rip the Archon apart because not affect by the bio-constraints
So basically if Shepard just so happens to bring synthetic allies for that one mission. Fair enough, though if you really want to be nitpicky, if Shepard did take the trip to Andromeda, there would be no EDI, or at least no actual Dr Eva mech, nor would Legion be there. So yeah, Shepard would be fucked.

I get what you are saying but Shep can manage to get the Geth and Quarians living together on their homeworld in peaceful cooperation. I'd say she has a pretty good handle on diplomacy.
Personally I found the Angara to be overly trusting due to plot necessity. Considering what they went through with the Kett I can't imagine them being so open to the Milky Way races. It feels more like it just kinda fell into Ryder's lap than Ryder being such a great diplomat that they actually won over the Angara.
