If Shepard and his squadmates went to Andromeda Instead of Ryder

I don't get it. When were Shepard or Garrus near-sighted sociopaths? When was Shepard a crusty old white dude? Why is Peebee drawn like a Garbage Pail Kid? Pre-patch Addison seems spot on.

Because being a mindless and violent sociopath makes one cooler? I don't know. I saw these comics as the idiotic nonsense they were but some have latched onto them in their obsessive hatred.

I always think when I see PB tackle Ryder is that Shep's Squad would never let that slide.

That's asinine. Someone with a gun on them, in a hostile environment jumps on you, knocks you down and shooting them or defending yourself is sociopathic? Your character in that game, for pure stupidity, deserves to die. At the very least, is no Pathfinder. Certainly no Shepard (not even a paragon one).

Besides, it's fun to think about what Shepard and crew would or might do - in Andromeda situations.

I can see Shep taking one look at the Ryder's and saying. 'What's these little wets doing out of school?'
Then receiving the reply 'They snuck out to play Shep the space hero'
Shep would then bend down giving the Ryder's that stare that makes Krogan shit themselves and say 'Keep going sprogs and one day you might get to clean my boots. Now git before I get reckless with this here shotgun.'
The Ryder.s would then run back to their kindergarten crying and wetting themselves.

Archon would try the same shit, but the moment he'd encounter Shepard on that ship, he'd say "Ok, fine, do whatever, just PLEAAASE don't kill me?" and run to mommy.


I like to think they'd, as basically military, have a perimeter set, and Peebee would never be able to get close enough to tackle. Ashley would be straight up "HANDS UP, PAL." Liara would probably just lock her up in a biotic bubble. Kaidan likely the same.

Meanwhile, what do we get? Don't get me wrong - the characters are ok, but we can have Cora, Liam and Vetra - any combination thereof. Liam is basically the guy who shows up to solve bullshit after the fighting is done. Vetra never was in the military (left before she entered Boot Camp). Cora is former Alliance and trained with Asari Huntresses, the only one with really serious, Shepard's squad-grade military background.

Let's recall: Shepard - November 7, you know what that means.
Kaidan - Special Forces, highly experienced officer. Potential Second Human SPECTRE
Ashley - Alliance Infantry, exceptional scores all around. Also a potential Second Human SPECTRE.
Garrus - Boot camp, C-SEC, Archangel. He's got experience doing it the military way, the police way, and the guerilla way.
Tali - fine, she's one of the civilians of the group. But Quarians are supposed to get some semblance of training before their Pilgrimage, right. And she gets attached to Reegar's SF squad during Haestrom debacle.
Liara - the other civilian of the original crew, but again, limited combat training and eventually the Shadow Broker.
Wrex - I don't need to comment. He has a few centuries doing this shit.

That's the original SR-1 crew, because few are worthwhile later on. This is family.

Let's compare.
Ryder - Infantry - peacekeeping or guardian a Mass Relay.
Liam - former cop, went to Crisis Response. That's no military. In fact, far as I found, they're not even combat trained.
Cora - Alliance Military, Asari Huntress - there, she's your go-to military person on the Tempest.
Vetra - smuggler, never got to Boot Camp.
Peebee - just an explorer, a civilian. Curiosity isn't military training or proper combat experience.
Jaal - Resistance, but does he even have any proper combat training? It doesn't look like it.
Drack - if Wrex was a badass, Drack takes that to a new level, because where Wrex has centuries of combat, Drack goes for the millenium's worth.

So yes. You have ONE experienced military where Shepard would have four or five at the same time in the universe (2185, that's when they left). Come to think of it, that's good. Kind of was the point, wasn't it.
