As the title says. I'm not sure and that's why I haven't done it. Does anyone have an official answer?
But I'd like to so long as I'm not risking a ban hammer. I put too much work into this.

yes you can
back in me3mp, there were ban waves every other month for excessive use of exploits.
if you don't want to get banned, then press option and disable the file sharing option. Also, u better wish another person isn't recording
u can still use the exploit, just not excessively

I really wouldn't worry about that. I remember missile glitching being rampant on 360 when platinum came out, like 9/10 people were using the striker.
But even still when the ban waves came there were only about 2000 people on the list. The most likely people to get banned are the speed runners because they have really popular videos of them doing the glitch. If they don't get banned then no one will.
And ammo glitching is only really a problematic thing if you use the piranha/vanquisher/hurricane and triple everyone else's score. All it does is make all the other guns usable.

I remember the ban waves in ME3MP. Never had any of those problems because I was smart and followed the rules.
But I still think it's stupid. Without an official announcement of any sort, on what basis do they have to ban people? For using the mechanics they messed up on? You need to tell the community what is acceptable and what isn't, especially with something this gray. It's just ammo. How much effing time does it take to tweet out "We do not approve of the double ammo exploit. We are aware of it, in the process of working on a fix and will ban excessive offenders from out servers."?
Missile glitching in 3 was a whole other story. It was boring to just watch things die in a lobby with someone glitching and took away from the experience. More importantly is was way more obvious that that was not okay, not even counting official forum platform.

How sad is it that we have to do Bioware's job for them and retrofit unbalanced weapons with an accidental bug if we want them to have any use?

Anyone saying yes, notice no source was given. As hardcoresalmon said, I wouldn't worry about it. Worry about the fact that we have no hecking clue whether it's bannable or not because Bioware won't acknowledge it.

And half the guns are still mediocre, some are even garbage with double damage.

There is no official word about it yet. It doesn't one-shot anything like the missile glitch. It works similarly to the incendiary glitch from ME3, which was never adressed.

They shouldn't be banning people for taking advantage of a glitch that is only in the game due to their incompetence.
This is doubly the case when you consider the fact that most weapons suck. Not to mention, you have quite a bit of plausible deniability when you consider how easy it is to accidentally execute the glitch.
Get your shit together Bioware. Clean this shit up.

People were banned in ME3 MP for missile glitching, and can be banned now for ammo glitching. The stipulations in the TOS regarding use of hacks, exploits and glitches didn't change that much.

I think nobody will be banned. But i find it kinda silly, you will use your ammo boosters in no time and there will be nothing left quite fast.

I tried out with double exp packs which seemed to award indeed both boni. In the long run you'll be better off with a character that is levelled enables you to kill stuff and suits your playstyle.

I would be shocked if it did, if players are using it it does not have a negative effect on my match, the missile glitch thing basically killed everything instantly, pugs still go down using this but not near as often, perhaps sad but many are using it to balance their guns and get through a match to unlock weapons/kits that IMHO should not be N7 to begin with.
Bio has not acknowledged this ability (hesitant to call it a glitch) so is it working as intended or is it an oversight of the extensive testing bioware performed which gave the the confidence to scrap a player test before launch.
If players use it in pugs I could not care less, depending on the kit I am running I can generally match them in score or come close +/- 2,000, that is very different than the missile glitch where I would struggle to find anything to kill.

I bet most people use the glitch without noticing it, you're clearly not meant to have 2 boosters of the same type in general.

Not saying it can't (it probably can), but people exploiting in-game bugs has been going on since time immemorial. Bad companies ban people for using it. Good companies realize it was their mistake, fix it quickly and sometimes even make a joke of it (like Destiny's infamous loot cave).
Not a fan of exploiting, but as long as it's not a competitive game or there are real stakes (like cash prizes) it doesn't bother me.

There's two boosterslots, and it doesn't say anywhere that we can't use both for ammo at once. In that light, I don't see it as different from carrying two pistols for example. I haven't used dual ammo yet though, I rather save that stuff for the characters who would actually benefit from it, for example, because they have 2 detonators but no priming ability or something like that. And a few crashes and disconnects can deplete my stack of ammo pretty fast. Save

Equip two power boosters and it has same visual glitch as two ammo powers, where it appears to unequip the first one. You can't pick and choose which part of the exploit is cheating when it all reacts the same way.

No official word but id assume yes its possible since it violates EAs terms of service.
Bioware is also aware of the glitch, so it should be patched out soon.

According to vegasflash you should probably be executed for using it.
But on a serious note, I can guarantee you there is a 0% chance you will get banned for using this glitch. If you got banned for abusing glitches in ME3, then we'd all have been banned considering the game is a test of how well you can abuse glitches and bugs.

It'd be not entirely unreasonable, but mostly: 1) It's an UI glitch that can happen entirely without the user noticing it. 2) It promotes consumable usage and store turnover. 3) It'll be rather fixed since that is the most reasonable way to deal with it in the big picture.

The main reason they won't bother banning anyone is that it takes two ammo per game to activate the glitch. I think I've been getting an ammo out of about every second or third pack. Meaning, at best, I'm using four ammo for every one I get back. So unless you played hundreds of games before this was discovered (or belong to the PC Haxor Race) it's not sustainable.
