I've just read it, pretty good review. My score would be lower because dialogue\narrative part is the most important for me and it was really disappointing in MEA. Companions may not be perfect, but conversations with NPC's like Tann, Addison and Morda were especially bad. It felt like they were never finished and VA's had no clue what are they saying and why are they doing it.

This poll is way too limited, at minimum you need a 'Meh' option. This, you need an average, alright, indifferent, something just right in the middle.

I've never regretted a BioWare purchase, even if sometimes the execution isn't the best. MEA is a very good game and I enjoyed my 100+ hours experiencing it. I certainly got my money's worth.

Needs an 'yeah, it's alright I guess, could be better but it's not bad' option. Though that might be a bit long.

Honestly I LOVE Mass Effect: Andromeda more than I thought.
It has it is flaws bugs/glitches no manual save during main quests, some quests that feel unfinished or go nowhere (the whole Ryder Family Secrets/Mysterious Benefactor/the Death of Garson being a real stand-out), clunky UI, and the Archon is easily most one-dimensional villain in BioWare's history. But when I contrast them to the great characters, more intriguing stories that are hinted at (Primus, the Scourge, the kett empire, the remnant builders, the lost quarian ark, etc) , beautiful level designs and graphics, finally BioWare get the vehicle/ride right with the Nomad, a great crafting system, a really fun combat system (and I generally don't like most combat systems in many video games), great voice acting, a wild climax, and the different worlds. I just want to keeping losing myself in this game.
ME:A is damn good game that just barely misses being great but with some strong story based DLC and some patches it might be a really great game. I give it 4 out of 5.

But I loved it more than I hated it for sure, so I guess I voted for that.

You need more choices, I certainly don't love it and I do NOT hate it. It is a fun game to play but 'nothing to write home about.'

It seems that 'generic' is the common denominator amongst almost all those who have played it. So i guess that Bioware can join the line of developers, who are dropping the ball lately, when it comes to sequels.

I'm not gonna choose either option because I didn't love it, but at the same time, I didn't hate it. It's not a dumpster fire like some would have you believe, but the game's overall quality is definitely not as high as I would have liked and I think, in some ways, it's a step backward from the OT. There are just so many issues, ranging from small annoyances to pretty big problems, that prevented me from really enjoying the game. Each of these issues, on their own, really wouldn't bring the game down too much, but there's just so many and they start to add up. Andromeda has potential, I'm waiting to see what kind of DLC they come out with and I'm hoping whatever sequel Bioware makes will be greatly improved (no more steps backward, Bioware).

Love it for sure. It's like ME3 in how I feel like everything I saw was the "default" versions until I started browsing online and realized how much variation there is in the game after all so it's definitely worth a replay. It just sucks the story wasn't better but for what it's worth it still had some realized potential here and there.

Finished it late last night, but still have movie night and Peebee's final loyalty mission left as post-ending content. Flawed but good, like any individual ME game from the Milky Way trilogy imo. One thing it certainly does better than the previous games are the epilogue bits. Good balance of closure with teasing the future and subplots left untied. Looking forward to story DLC (and I hope they take post-end playthroughs into account, even if it's just a couple references, because they emphasized the whole "... and the adventure continues..." thing so well).
Also looking forward to when they're done with patches and DLC support so I can play all over again and formulate my final verdict.

The game feels like the real sequel to Mass Effect 1, everything that was there in ME it's back in Andromeda but bigger and better. On the other hand a lot of things that where taken out of ME2 where so for a reason and having them back feels like a regression of sorts. Even though I love the game I certainly dont enjoy driving around on the Mako 2.0 for 10 minutes to reach a generic structure and kill some generic enemies to get a generic textbox/line of dialogue which completes the generic quest.
Still the gameplay is I think the best in the series. It even plays laggy AF in my PC just like ME1 did in my old PC back in the day.

If I had to rate it with those options only I would rate it in stages then. At first and for my first run I loved it though there were issues I felt. I still loved it. My second run, I still enjoyed it but the issues became more obvious as I was facing them a second time. By the third run I realize I might be on my last run probably for a very long time and I am bummed at the reality that most every game I buy gives me many runs. ME1 along gave me more game runs than I can count. I spent a while playing it and replaying it. So many different characters. But this one is kind of done for me, and that is sort of sad. I hoped it would be so much more than what it was, be replayable because of different choices that were worth replaying it just to see like ME1 or for a story that really roped me in where I could play it more than a few times and love it each time because of that....

It's not always that black and white.
No Doubt.
I couldn't possibly tell people that I love this game.
Nor could I say that I hate it.
There are so many garbage pail games coming out every year that deserve our hatred. Andromeda is not one of them.
Love is a strong word. I've only been able to use the word love on one game in my life. I still play it after 7 years. Which is a record for the longest I've ever played a single video game.
That record will likely never be broken. Not even a flawless Cyberpunk 2077 could top that.
It's hard, with any game, to finish it, and then restart it again, from the beginning. Especially a RPG.
For one, you have to have no life.
They suck up some serious hours.

I love it so far. I've just landed on Voeld and I'm really enjoying the game so far. I've thought that the characters of your crew are utilized better than ME1 did at the start of the franchise so you get to know them a bit better. I enjoy the scaled back focus on combat so far as well. The original ME had a lot of exploration and discovery, much like MEA, where you can go long bouts without a firefight, and when you do they are brutal and fast paced and then over quickly.
Is the story perfect? Absolutely not. Was the story perfect in the original game? Absolutely not. A lot of people hail ME2 as the greatest in the franchise, but besides the great characters (all of which are sidelined heavily for the final game in the trilogy) the story of the game was pretty weak and extremely disjointed from the overall story the trilogy told. Obviously that was due to ME3 scrapping a lot of the ideas of the game, but now that the trilogy is fully realized, ME2 is left having a disjointed story that fits very inconsistently and awkwardly in the middle of the overall story of ME1 and ME3. You could almost cut out the entire game and just take the story of ME1 directly in to ME3 and miss nothing from a story perspective, other than missing the introduction of the Illusive Man. Obviously you would miss out on a lot (the characters, the Suicide Mission, Harbinger etc.) but as far as the Trilogy's story, you don't miss a thing.
That being said, I LOVE the original trilogy. I'm just trying to say I think there must be a number of people that hate Andromeda because they have rose-colored glasses of the OT and just don't like change.
I enjoy having Ryder as the main character. I love Shepard, but I like having a new story with a new character who is a very different personality. I'm not very far in the game, but I do hope Bioware continues with this storyline and with Ryder.

It's got some warts, for sure, but I am on my 3rd playthrough currently with over 200 hours of playtime....so I had to pick the "love" option.
It's leagues better than DAI (to me) so it's definitely a good game, even with some flaws.
