I would wait and see. If MEA doesn't do well, EA might have the trilogy remastered.

Sucks if they don't wind up doing it. I was as hyped for a remaster as a new game.

Those missing DLCs are the problem it would have made it fresh to playthrough with them. *sigh*

I'm not sure I would have bought it without a revamp, not just a remaster. Like cut content, regulating gameplay and weapons across all games. Graphics wise though, it still doesn't look bad. I don't need much improvement there.

No loss for us PC players, we've been able to mod (with some difficulty) high res textures in for quite some time, pity though that console players won't get nice looking Mass Effects. Those lazy recycled textures that pop into vanilla ME2 and ME3 are so damned ugly that it jars horribly with the otherwise ok looking games.

It's no big deal. ME2 and 3 are fine, graphics wise, and if you really get hung up on graphics, you can get texture mods on PC anyway.

I think Me3 is the only title that would only truly benefit. Because it's not entirely the game even the developers wanted to make. And 1 and 2 weren't rushed. Especially 2, which is pretty thorough.
But at the same time, the person who wanted an extension and meant more with some parts is Casey Hudson and he's gone. I'm not sure anyone left there knows or even cares what he was thinking.

You have to wonder at the laziness sometimes. One of the worst examples in ME3 are the councilors with their minecraft inspired textures. How could that get by quality control? Didn't one tester call out the gfx department with a 'WTF guys?'. It would be trivial to update the texture to the same moderate res of the rest of the game but they allow it in the final product, along with gimped animations, missing glasses for toasts, etc the litany of laziness never ends. I hope Andromeda is held to a higher standard in terms of production values.

Hmmm... The closure of BSN Prime, the cancellation of the remastered version - the last nail in BW's coffin?

Calling the remastered trilogy cancelled might be a bit on the premature side considering we do not know if they were actually in production. Sounds like a case of people reading way too much into a statement of somebody at EA. And it sounds like someone at EA was just really confused and the left hand did not know what the right was doing. Oh well, life is moving on. Hmmm... The closure of BSN Prime, the cancellation of the remastered version - the last nail in BW's coffin? Oh woe! Oh Woe! Oh Woe again!

I hope Andromeda is held to a higher standard in terms of production values. Not sure if it's laziness or simply time pressure. I have seen quite a few cases of devs not fixing anything pointed out simply because the schedule is tight and they set their priorities elsewhere. I can't say how the process was for Bioware of course, but I work as a game tester and we've had cases where even some critical bugs weren't fixed because there was no time, no resources, or they were too close to the scheduled end of the project. I'm not trying to defend anything, but we cannot look behind the scenes to see what's going on there, and even if I don't understand some decisions that devs make about their projects, there must be some reason for it. Hmmm... The closure of BSN Prime, the cancellation of the remastered version - the last nail in BW's coffin? Last I saw they were hiring new people on Twitter, don't think that spells the end of BW I'm a little bit sad if that's the final word. I would've loved to play the trilogy on my PS4, but it's not the end of the world and it wasn't confirmed it's coming either. I'm always careful with rumours.

Hmmm... The closure of BSN Prime, the cancellation of the remastered version - the last nail in BW's coffin? I don't think CBSN or the cancellation of a remaster is the final nail in the coffin. It might be the last nail depending on how well Andromeda does, but than Bioware, or rather EA, still has a few options they can do to keep ME around

I'm not trying to defend anything, but we cannot look behind the scenes to see what's going on there, and even if I don't understand some decisions that devs make about their projects, there must be some reason for it. DAI had been given an extra 6 weeeks to fix any problems the game had. It was still released with numerous bugs. I read posts from folks who would've preferred if Bioware released the game 6 months later so they could have the time to fix those bugs. Others posted that they would've waited until all patches were released before buying the game just because some of the bugs were really bad Not the end of Bioware, but maybe ME. But I believe that's more of how well Andromeda sells. Even so, I don't believe that would cause ME to end Its possible that if Andromeda does poorly, a remaster might happen. Don't know. I know I like to have a remaster

Do people actually complain about BioWare's bugs? Mind is quite blown. I've only really experienced two really bad bugs in my time playing BioWare games the hundreds or so hours I have sunk into them. Compare that with Bethesda who seems to have game breaking, or near game breaking bugs almost every time you turn the game on.

It's no big deal. ME2 and 3 are fine, graphics wise, and if you really get hung up on graphics, you can get texture mods on PC anyway. It's not just graphics quality at issue. I have to suffer through all characters turning into black boxes on Noveria and Ilos. A remaster would almost certainly fix this problem.

I think it could be AMD or ATI related? Like the gear is too new for the older lighting in ME1. But yeah, a remaster probably would fix it. There's a temporary console command to fix it, I think.

If I could replay any section of ME1 with improved graphics and combat, it would be the fight vs. the Amatures and Rocket Troopers on the old Prothean skyway on Feros. That was some epic stuff.

Thought they were somehow hiding behind crates or something and couldn't figure out how that worked.
