I disagree with that quite a bit. A three round burst can get a neck-head-head shot with the Harrier if you're out of cover at medium/long range. The Hurricane just can't do that at all, even if you're firing short bursts. Now in cover the Harrier is a whole different beast, but that's cause it's bugged rather significantly. My Drelldept often uses the Harrier as he's fast enough to hit up multiple ammo boxes easily on Plat and needs to restock his 'nades anyways. *** I'll quote myself from BSN Prime in regards to weighing in on the Talon though... "But the Talon is still better than either of em. Or any of em. It's just better at everything than everything else. It's the thing everything else is trying to be better than. It's even better than this argument I'm making about why it's better. It's that better."Meh. I'll take Hurricane over either every day all day and every day next week, all next month, and for the rest of recorded history. Harrier hits a little harder, and is a little more accurate. Yes. It also eats ammo like a hog and is heavier. The Talon takes too much discipline, and I like sniping. For solo play, I will die more with Talon than either H weapon. Talon is fantastic. So is Harrier. You probably have better aim than I do, and can Alquinn all over the map with it. Don't get me wrong... If it is down to these three guns, I wouldn't be surprised or disappointed. Also, Claymore. For me, on console, it's the Harrier 6 days a week and twice on Sunday (and it's not that close on the GI, Hurricane vs. Harrier). Harrier's more accurate (especially at distance), less recoil, better sounding than the Hurricane. I don't care what on paper DPS says, in my experience Harrier GI>Hurricane GI. Although Raider GI is best GI. |

2* Arc Pistol vs Typhoon, there's what I feel is a hard choice. Both great weapons in very different ways and in varied different hands. I love Arc Pistol Tsent but Typhoon with Turian Marksman or Volus Engineer-Slowing/+Dmg Recon Mine is fantastic.

When I started a zero manifest, Gold-only profile, the Mantis gave me a way to punch through the inherent enemy armor (with a little help from Warp). It was there from the beginning, and it was invaluable to my vanilla human casters. The CSMG is a very effective weapon, but it won't be indispensable by the time you get it to a workable level, because there are other very good weapons (and a full set of mods) in your inventory. The Mantis isn't obviated by the uncommon tier, due to the lack of heavy hitters to overcome that Gold-tier armor. Eventually, the mods and rare weapons will outstrip the Mantis, but the role it plays in building an early manifest makes it irreplaceable. |

When starting out, it is by far your strongest weapon, then it becomes strong AND light. It takes quite a while for a manifest to surpass it, where most URs have to be "grown into", Common vs UR, Mantis is the only one that isn't terrible by comparison, sure, Javelin hits harder, Black widow has more shots, and both have innate penetration, but vs the majority of enemies (Anything with a decent Headshot multiplier), it takes basically the same amount of shots to kill, it's only stuff like Banshees that really start absorbing the shots. Anyway, this round is BS. I hated a lot of these choices, this pairing system is evil, and I suspect it will only get harder. Also, go Lancer. |

What I learned from this Poll (that hubby alerted me to for round 3, votes for lancer), is that I have clearly been in a gun rut; had to ask which one was which again in some cases. (And I'm not talking about Claymore  ...*runs*) And, that I seriously need to play more again - managed a few games last week at least. Amazingly, rust wasn't so real this time. |
