I don't mind the Ascendants' sync kill. Except on laggy hosts. But normally, there are several warning signs when they make their move, so I just need to pay attention. Fiends however are terribly broken and need to be fixed. Remove their sync-kill ability and turn it into a kill-animation or something, until it no longer teleports and gets fixed with proper warning signs.

I ran into a fun variation on kett unfairness today - I joined a kett mission in progress and ... you know how when you join a mission in progress the wave often seems messed up?
Well, this time the ascendant had no orb. I had to rely on my teammates to do anything useful there (which, ok, they did - but if this had gone into squad wipe territory, I am not sure how I would have dealt with that thing).

Just happened to me an hour ago. Yup trought the F*cking roof. PLZ Bioware get rid of that Sandstorm seems a bad map for this and recently I noticed the Remnant clip through the scenery an awful lot on that map as well. Could be a nice combination of lag, Fiend teleporting and the walls in Sandstorm being rather flimsy.

I'm ok with the Ascendant and its sync kill. it's dodge-able and you can break allies out of it if you can smash the orb in time. My only issues with them are that their teleport either needs a better tell/sound or reduced range and they should take a second or two longer to reform their orb. If you have to solo an ascendant it's a exercise in patience having to repeatedly take down the orb to burn him down bit by bit.
Fiends are just a broken mess. Nothing about them works right, their movement is glitchy their sync kills are glitchy and they just have a stupid amount of health. Among my friends we have a rule that fiends get cobra-ed down on sight. Kett are actually rather palatable without those aberrations breaking the match with their mere presence.

Does anyone know of any response at all from Bioware about Fiends? Not on BSN obviously, but at least twitter or something? I mean this is clearly unacceptable, surely they know this? Have they acknowledged at all how broken this currently is?

Honestly, if I encounter a Fiend off-host nowadays, I book it to the other side of the map and snipe it from a very long way off. I'll let the other pugs get wall grabbed.

From what I've read, if you destroy the orb, the countdown to respawn it only starts after you damage the Ascendant. Don't know if true as I haven't tested it out, but if you break the orb and stop firing as soon as it does, you can reload and not have to worry about it coming back before you finish.

Forced to play the Kett because of the Gold Apex missions ... I know it's been said before but the sync-kills are just ridiculous. The Ascendant orb has a warning animation and a warning sound but why?? I watched my friend dodge 2-3 times INSIDE this orb (after I had been eaten by a Fiend of course) but he could not escape. The Fiend is a copycat and teleports around the map like his Ascendant buddy, despite the fact that he is 2x bigger than a Brute, and gives absolutely zero sync-kill warning. Suddenly you are just in his mouth. I think these two sync-kills are actually the reason the Kett can be insanely difficult. Otherwise we were doing fine. But you are constantly forced to remain 50 miles away from any boss in case they get friendly and grab you with their elasti-arms. So either you are insta-dead or you are constantly kiting the map making waves take 10x longer. In ME3 it was usually your own fault if you stumbled into a boss at the wrong moment.
