Why did you romance your LI?

My male Ryder almost ended up with no one because flirting with Cora, Peebee and Gil was too much in your face for my tastes.
Then he got swept off his feet when meeting Reyes, with natural playful flirting and good pacing. He's the most interesting character for me in the entire game. Morally grey, manipulative, mysterious, but also caring. His layers fascinated me especially considering the short amount of screen time he had and his writer did a really good job. Reyes and Ryder have a great chemistry.

Yeah, but that was mainly because Liam seemed to be the most prominent squadmember and also because of how relaxed, easygoing, and likeable he was with Ryder (in other words, he just clicked so well with her).

Well I kind of liked Liam too but he started to get on my bad side when he gave Vetra a hard time about Sid, there are just some thing you don't say and some things you just don't stick your nose in.

Because...Asari I don't need another reason. Also Christine Laikin's voice is fucking awesome

Liam grow on me since he waits for you to wake up, love his personality and how he cares about Ryder. I like so much that he is the only one that believes in you from the beginning, saying that you will do it just fine as a Pathfinder when you're not sure about it. I'm just in love with his romance arc friends to lovers plus he always makes my Sara smile or laugh and I've never seen that in a romance, simply adorable .

Lesse, the mysterious, tall,dark and handsome space rogue with charm and a sexy accent( :yara:). Or Pinky and Lack-of-Brain. No brainer for me!
I'd complain he was a stereotypical Zorro/Don Juan rip off straight out of a cheesy romance novel if i wasn't such a sucker for it, so here we are.

My new Sara is more down to earth and has no time for his shennanigans tho, will probably give Vetra or Suvi a spin.

It's dead cheap for emails to to be added to a game compared to the cost of recording lines. Especially when you start getting localization into the mix (so painful). So, it's good mileage for what it costs to add, and can be tweaked more easily later in the development cycle. They're a good way to smooth out spots that feel rough or empty even after the lines are recorded, and just have translation costs (not translation AND recording for multiple languages, which I *think* Bioware does in a few languages although don't quote me on that, I have a lot less insight to their localization than I do to some other places), not to mention that anything voiced needs to be worked into the dialogue wheel, facial animations need to be at least somewhat verified, and the timing of lines in regards to any motions also needs to be worked out. Now, I don't think they leveraged it as much as they could to level out those spots, but I think that's the intent.

I'm in the process of romancing Liam. I liked that he was approachable, seemed to really ground my Ryder, always there and making sure she's okay. It was a pretty close call (Vetra was a huge temptation like whoa) but I chose Liam because he just seemed to hit it off well with my Ryder. I like his accent, I thought he was adorable, and from the moment he waved at Ryder after waking up I thought that I should keep an eye on this one. So far no regrets, although I still have a ways to go.

Jaal has an emotional personality and is so kind, it was terribly cute and I think I just needed something like this and damn, his wonderful eyes *_*
I should try vetra when I'll replay the game, because lovely character + turian.
Oh Kandros... I wish you were a romance option...

The ironic thing is my current Sara is mostly logical/professional, but she kind of turns into an awkward puddle of goo around Jaal.   Although, she did get in his face during the Moshae rescue, telling him they couldn't be distracted from their mission (this was after they discovered there were other angara that could be rescued). She ended up rescuing them anyway but only because the Moshae was already safe.

I was back and forth with cora and peebee for awhile but although I liked cora, I found her to be kinda boring tbh. So, I ended up romancing peebee because she's cute, fun, and she fit my ryder's personality perfectly. I love how you can play it like a friends with benefits thing which grows into something more. Plus I really enjoyed her romance plot and found it to be one of the most interesting in the game imo. Also Im a sucker for quirky witty types so I knew I was gonna love her from the start.

Reyes, because he's got a bit of danger about him.  

First run - flirted around, chose Suvi with a not-completed side of Keri. That Ryder was feeling a bit disconnected after losing Dad and brother in a coma, and Suvi felt safe to her.

Current run - going for Peebs, cuz she's unpredictable and keeps her on her toes. Also, this Ryder shares her passion for rem tech archaeology.

Next: probably Vetra. Will decide when I get to it.
