I have always been a restless player who used to run around the whole place - probably way too much because I'd actually like to have more team synergy and strategy.
But now I am in Andromeda anyway!! a game where enemies shoot over and through cover like its nothing. A game where you constantly have 1-2 dogs in your face. Hell, Berserkers don't even seem to have a cooldown on their shit grenade launchers!
So what other options do I have but to run around like crazy?
I just feel sorry for those who were looking forward to the Multiplayer being a cover based RPG shooter. People who like to play a little more carefully and/or strategic.
Of course I understand what Bioware was trying to do - like what they did with the Bombers and Dragoons. But they clearly overdid it. And not even barricade protects you from the Berserker grenades and the other shit although its a power. This isn't fun.

It's not supposed to be a walk in the park, you know. If it's too difficult you may want to try Bronze or Silver.

Aside from the over-cover grabs is there anything completely different from the cover system itself?
If you're in cover, regular enemies still can't hit you.
The fact that Bioware disencourages camping behind cover by having a multitude of really annoying cover busters doesn't mean that there's anything inherently wrong with the cover system itself.

Well, I do miss the feeling that cover actually benefits me. A lot of time, I still feel as though I'm being bombarded.
It's not that I want a cover-based shoooter per se, as I do like to move around quite a bit, but I would like to feel that cover is adequate when I do need to use it.

I miss sticky cover and grabs, would happily trade jetpacks for ME3's various dodges too, but of all the things BioWare chose to do differently in MEA, it's one they managed not to mess up... too much.

l2position? ah I understand. so once I've learned that the Berserkers etc. can't shoot over cover anymore? It's not supposed to be a walk in the park, you know. If it's too difficult you may want to try Bronze or Silver. Do I really want to react to this? Ok, I have played more than 2500 hours on gold or platinum. but probably you are right, I should go to bronze then. Aside from the fact that I wasn't even saying it's too difficult. Because it's not. I was just trying to say that I know people who expected cover to actually do something and therefore have less fun playing Andromeda when they are constantly being shot at, no matter where they go. I am running around anyway.

you must be really mean people and where did I say its too difficult?? I am talking about that it's annoying and less fun to play - especially for those who like to use cover. There are just too many enemies who ignore cover - Bioware just overdid it here. Which enemies in particular are you referring to? The ones that I can think of off the top of my head are the ascendant's orange shockwaves, the Nullifier and the Krogan's projectiles. I agree that these enemies are annoying with respect to their attacks bypassing cover, but you should be well protected from other enemy attacks in general. I have found that if I still get hit while in cover, it's usually from an enemy that is not in your field of vision (if looking directly forward from the cover) and located to your far left or right or one of the enemies that I mentioned before. If that happens, you'll definitely want to make a dash for some better cover. If you're in doubt, don't be afraid of retreating, especially if you're taking on multiple krogan berserkers for example. I believe in safety in numbers and like to stick around and help out teammates and work with them to take on the tougher enemies. There definitely seems to be a real emphasis on discouraging camping and if you're someone who liked to camp in cover a lot in ME3MP, then it will take time to adjust in MEAMP. Taking cover is still important, but you'll need to constantly adjust your positioning since enemies will keep spawning and coming from different directions, so you'll often need to move between different covers. The radar is very useful for roughly working out where all the enemies are located. You can then use this information to position yourself in the best way you see fit for taking on the enemy forces.

ME3 had its fair share of anti-cover measures too, with Praetorian beams, Scion grenade spam, Dragoons and Geth Bombers. Here it's just day one stuff.
Come to think of it, this might be one of the precious few areas where they actually build upon lessons learned in ME3MP, instead of trying to fix what wasn't broken.

At Upload objectives out in the open (thanks, Magma)it's really annoying, that you're getting hit from all directions, - horizontal and vertical - other than that, I'm fine with softcover.

*sigh* this game doesn't punish you for using cover. it punishes you for camping one spot for too long. next time, try fighting from behind cover and then repositioning to a different spot when you get overwhelmed. don't just stand your ground, get killed, then immediately alt tab to the BSN forums to complain about it.
the game's got issues, but this is not one of them.

I find they are usually the most annoying (and effective?) when everyone on the team is setup for sniping, but are all scattered around individually trying to kite. I find they are the least effective when the team has a really good close combat member (or members) that ties them up while the team's snipers go HAM on them. If you really hate them though and are lucky enough to have the Asari Duelist, she destroys them head to head - no cover needed.

Ooooh! Fun game! Here's 5 random hates (how will I choose just 5?), in no particular order. I hate: - yard maintenance/lawncare. Within that large rubric is a particularly intense dislike for leaf blowers and "Round-Up".
- the idea that the short-fingered, reality-TV guy gets to think he's really somebody due to his recent promotion. This hatred is in addition to the hate I may or may not also feel for almost everything he says, tweets, believes, etc., as well as his recent hires, most of his friends and many of his family members.
- pickup trucks that don't ever get used as trucks -- i.e. never haul anything - a load of mulch or fill-dirt or whatever - because such use might scratch the paint in the bed.
- pineapple on pizza...or anywhere in proximity to cheesy, tomato-y goodness for that matter.
- the multi-page printouts you receive at the pharmacy that come with your filled prescriptions. The first time is great - I'm all for being informed and I always read it (even though they are vague, filled with cheap boilerplate and aren't very informative), but then every time you refill the same medicine, they print it out again...and again. I've asked if they would stop. I've offered to sign away any future legal claims that could possibly result from discontinuing the practice. Alas, the printouts keep coming.

And now you are missing I said "of course I understand what Bioware is trying to do with these types of enemies - but that they overdid it"Like I mentioned: ME3 later had Dragoons and Bombers for this very reason and it was ok. But Andromeda is not as well balanced. You say I don't understand the purpose of units but instead you should start reading before replying! let me quote you: "hello" ???
