After buying some basic packs to get common stuff, I went with strictly expert packs for rare items. All rares are level ten now, so I switched to advanced packs for uncommons. I keep getting packs with 5 blue consumable cards and no uncommon card that is "guaranteed" to be in an advanced pack. Same thing if I buy expert packs--5 blue cards, and none of them level 4. I think when the RNG rolls a rare for the advanced pack instead of the uncommon it defaults to a blue card since all rares are maxed. This is STUPID!! It should give at least one uncommon! Someone at Bioware needs their ass kicked for this. A person using real money on these advanced packs could sue for fraud, since the packs are not delivering what they promise. Four advanced packs so far today and only one with an uncommon card--guess I'll go for premium packs and ultra rares since the uncommons won't come.
update--started buying premium packs 1st had 5 consumables--only one tier 3 2nd had 4 consumables (no tier 3 or better) and ONE uncommon 3rd had 5 consumables--one tier 3 and crap
this is ridiculous

Haha yeah the exact same thing happened to me, maxed out my rares before my uncommons and ended up getting trolled hard by the store. Kept getting packs with nothing but consumables.

You definitely can sue for fraud, and you can win. However, a class action lawsuit seems more likely to have success. I have been waiting for class action in the video game world. Biower, you may dun fukd up.

I was sure someone else said it was better to max out Rs and URs before going for Cs and UCs. Glad I didn't take that advice. After buying some basic packs to get common stuff, I went with strictly expert packs for rare items. All rares are level ten now, so I switched to advanced packs for uncommons. Biower, you may dun fukd up. It's not just Bioware, it's pretty much every game that heavily relies on microtransactions (especially mobile games). It's pretty appalling how some game developers get away with some of things they do.

Too late Can corfirm you are not guaranteed uncommons in Veteran Advanced packs, especially if you only have weapon attachments left.

This is happening to me too. The only way I get the missing uncommon weapon mods is in Premium packs.

Wonder if I should hold off on the expert packs now so I don't end up in the same boat. This is just crazy

I think you are supposed to be getting a rare consumable when your characters, weapons and mods are maxed and you are awarded a rare.

Wonder if I should hold off on the expert packs now so I don't end up in the same boat. This is just crazy Expert packs seem fine. I never didn't get at least one rare or ultra-rare. Even when only the damage barrels were left I always got at least one. They have a decent enough chance for ultra-rares too.

If you get "lucky" and roll a rare for your guaranteed uncommon, it would make sense for you to get a rare consumable. But that's not what's happening?

Am I getting something wrong here, or is the problem really that you get consumables instead of an uncommon item in about 1/10 advanced packs (when you would get a rare item otherwise)? Cry me a river.

um lvl 2 consumables are uncommon items
you could have zero rares /ur's and still open a dozen packs with nothing but lvl 2/3 consumables in them ....... which I might have done when the store was trolling me .....
I actually got more rares out of the advanced packs than I did uncommon items to start with (lvl 3 consumables are rare items....)

Are you not getting any uncommons *at all* from Advanced Packs anymore, or just noticed a massive increase in lvl 3 consumables on those rolls where you suspect a rare would've been rolled? If you're not getting any Uncommons *at all*, then that's definitely a bug the developers should investigate. If you're just getting more consumables on rolls you suspect were rare rolls, then that's by design. lvl 3 Consumables are considered Rares as well. We're *not* getting a downgrade replacement for these rare rolls.

The classic formula applies, doesn't it? - Basic packs until Common items maxed (done)
- Advanced packs until Uncommon items maxed (working on this one)
- Expert packs until Rares maxed
- Premium packs thereafter

Well you do get boosters in every pack already but they don't replace an item. If I open an advanced pack it wil give at least one uncommon weapon/character/mod unless it turns out to be a rare instead, the other four items are the boosters and crap.

Latest large scale testing suggests that we keep buying expert packs even after getting all rares, as the drop chance of a UR is the same in both packs (10% per rare - with premium having two such "shots"), and so you get more consumables just going with expert packs.

Found this out in ME3 MP. Buy basic packs, max out commons, then buy the next pack up and max out uncommons, then the next pack up to max out rares, then on to the top pack for ultra rares.
It's slow and the really good stuff (ha ha) is the last stuff you'll get, but it keeps the RNG trolling to a minimum.

Now interested in only one uncommon; AR magazine. Out of 20 or so still at low level

The language of the pack's description is misleading. Currently, that is due to a bug (sure) that can probably be repaired by competent programmers.
Small potatoes for each individual, massive profit for BW, and they assume because they are a big corporations and they have sold gamers on the idea that as a class they are "entitled" that said gamers out of shame will not pursue the issue.
They are right. This is how the big bully corporation works. But if a group were to get serious, make notes, and work together... This could change the industry.
It. Will. Never. Happen. Because you are indoctrinated, and I have a Ruzad vs the Reapers.
