There's so many different ways you can spec this character that's viable on gold... Predominantly melee or power focused, which suits you more?

I have heard many times she is the perfect melee character but I like doing explosions.
A build my friend told me about:
Ignore cooldowns and go for rank 6 Lance that uses shields. You can spam it all day with 1 point in throw for emergencies when your shield is gone.
Annihilation go for radius/20% debuff/shield return.
The passives have another 20% debuff for Annihilation. Also I took the emergency shield when your health drops under 25% which works great if you are toe to toe with a tough enemy and you are about to drop. Suddenly you can Lance all day again.

My current build, combining roughly equal amounts of biotics, melee and gunplay. Nothing really surprising there. Built mine the same. Melee/gunplay/biotics equally. Although I use a scorpion pistol on my asari adept. I love doing combos like jumping to a shielded enemy, shoot(scorpion)+lance or throw mid-air(enemy is already within annihilation field so it gets detonated)+ aerial melee strike = dead enemy, or almost. That's all in the space of one jump. That's three 'splosions' including the aerial melee strike. Seems complicated but it isn't. Sure i could just duck behind cover and snipe with a vanquisher or whatever, but personally that bores me.

the only decision you have to make is whether to go vortex or drain on annihilation. i just switched to vortex and im loving it right now. therefore, i agree with lemurs build.
slap on a light gun with a meele mod (equalizer, talon ..) and you are good to go

Lance is such a shit power.
It's shit, but if you can spam it 10 times in a row in BEs, it might seem like it does the same damage as a regular Warp-Throw combo in ME3.

She does both, and extra power ranking in Lance don't make the explosions better. Prime, explode, punch punch dodge-reprime explode again, punch punch This little chain will erase anything. She's the number two character behind the ghetto phantom, and said chain is why, in addition to DR and reshielding on demand.

Biotic/Melee playstyle: melee mod Biotic/Gunnery playstyle: barrel and stock mods And yes, you can equip 2 pistols if you want to go the Gunnery path, and make the most out of the pistol consumable. If there's any character that goes well with pistols, it's the Asari Adept. She's a short-range character because of the annihilation field, so short range pistols like the Equalizer are perfectly suitable. If a target is out of range, you shouldn't snipe, but close in. Any character can snipe, but dirty dancing around an enemy is exactly what the AA does best. Save

Hands down, this is best build for asari adept,if you ask me.
Also, what I find most satisfing is that the build itself rewards your good play... and well, punishes when you miss (to a point).
I usually top score on gold with this one, its just one lance, one talon shot and mook is dead. Just repeat for stronger mobs. If you miss lances, or shots, you wont kill, if you dont kill you dont get your shield back. Well, you do, every 10 seconds. I can usually get in the heat of things, downing them one by one. Anyways, its good build and fun to play.
I went for another 20% debuff instead of +30% combo damage. Feels a bit better, but its a close call.
Also, if you have Piranha or something stronger then Talon - try it.

Hi folks, thank you. I think I will try the first one and see how it goes. Though speaking of ammo, I have a stockpile of cryo, so I will do a techie character before that, I suppose. I am mostly looking for something that allows me to do as much as I can between having to shoot a weapon, because my weapons will take some time, and I am into space magic anyway. I'm trying to do more melee too, seeing the game is fought in close quarters a fair bit more. :)

Max AF with area debuff and shield drain, max barrier with punch-barrier and probably saving, shield powered lance. Whatever you have left in the other passive with debuff.

Domi dono, good to see you branching into MP One of the main reasons we end up punching stuff is because at present the weapons we have are basically pea shooters. Sadly space magic biosplosions and techsplosions are only a shadow of what it was in ME3.
