Does Jacob still hold the title of "most disliked squaddie" or....

Yeah, alluring in the way that Shepard was with Vega in the Citadel DLC. Who knew a bad-ass space marine could turn into a walking sexual harassment case?

I really hated what they did to Jacob's character, but I didn't hate him. Never romanced him though. And Liam is nothing like Jacob, thank gawd.

That's crazy talk right there.

I mean you could make the case that out of all the squadmates, the most passionate levels of hate might be reserved for her but most disliked in terms of number of people? 

Nah, she's the #1 most romanced character in the OT (which maybe it's a little unfair since anyone can romance her) but still there's a ton of fans (maybe not on the BSN so much) that adore her. 

No one adores Jacob.

I'm not actually calling you crazy, but there's plenty of people that like Liara (and yes hate) but not enough to be the "most" disliked companion. 

The #1 romance comment is just highlighting again that plenty of people like her..so much so that again she was the most popular. Most popular romance =/= most disliked.

And no one adores Jacob is a bit of an exaggeration/just trying to be light-hearted, but you're seriously one of the first people I've heard say anything positive about the character on this forum. 

Go checkout his romance thread. There are folks that find him to be ok

I'm very meh about Jacob, but I really like Liam. It annoyed me that just asking Jacob questions turned into flirting with him. Like no really, just seeing how you're doing. But back to Liam, I like how he tries to do good. He messes up, has anger issues, but he cares. Plus my Ryder loved getting into stupidly dangerous situations with him. I'm gonna romance him with my second Ryder.

Yeah, true, it was even shorter. I mean, I do admit it always kind of amused me that it was Female Hawke('s voice actress) who took Shepard's man, but the whole situation just seemed skeevy. I've seen people say they like that Jacob has enough agency to not just be Shepard's hanger-on, but to me, there's really no defending this one. Even in RL, someone who has been through way less than Jacob and Shepard have done together might at least shoot you an e-mail to break up and not just tell you randomly in front of the new chick. Especially since I thought one of the traits you could somehow pull from his lackluster characterisation in ME2 was that he was pretty straight-forward. Doesn't seem like the kind of guy who'd chicken out of telling Shepard as soon as possible.

It also didn't help that another one of F!Shep's male romances dies and is thus also cut short, although that was at least telegraphed in ME2. In comparison to straight M!Shep, she got screwed. I guess realism wasn't so important for M!Shep's relationships?

It's almost impossibile to be as bad as Jacob... at least Liam have some funny moments.

Same, but I figured I was doing him a favor  He was ok in ME2.  Not terribly interesting, but loyal, stable, and sane on a ship full of crazies.  I appreciated that enough to let him go out in a blaze of glory.  It seemed a kinder fate than character assassination.

I think Liam's a great pal but sometimes when I'm burnt out on planet missions and I do my rounds of Tempest hellos? His needling about needing more outposts bums me out big time and I just wanna bust out with "I'M DOING MY BEST LIAM. JEEZ." Wish they threw in more friendly dialogue in between.

He shares my big brother's name though, so I can't get all that mad at the guy.

Tbh, I remember my least favorite being Vega and even he grew on me. I'm a softy for my teams every time.
