Does Jacob still hold the title of "most disliked squaddie" or....

i wouldn't say Jacob evoked strong enough emotions for hatred unless you romanced him going into me3. Liam sort of followed this bland template, except he had cooler hair. Other than his loyalty mission & first mission he stayed on tempest for me.

I thought Jacob was very boring but enjoy Liam despite his huge missteps in judgement, at times. Jacob was just a boring snob to me.

Jacob can never reach Liara or EDI levels of disgust with me, and besides, him and his romance are hilarious.

I liked Jacob's romance. I didn't like his loyalty mission though. Every other squadmate had a clear plan on how they wanted to resolve things and Shepard could either let it play out or take an interrupt. With Jacob's mission, Shepard had to decide what to do with his dad. It was his dad! It was inconsistent with the other loyalty missions so I wasn't a fan. But his romance was good. I knew it wasn't the same guy in ME3 though (because his original writer wasn't on the ME3 team). It was like Sarah Chalke showing up in Roseanne to replace the original Becky to keep the role going. All righty then.

Liam is awesome. Love him or hate him, there's a method to his madness and bro has your back even if you don't have his.

That is a good thing though. Means you are feeling something for the character atleast. That is the writers job, to evoke feelings in us. 

On topic - I actually like Liam, quite a lot. He is a bit hard to follow dialogue wise, but his enthusiasm is infectious, in a good way.

I never hate ME squadmate before. Jacob is OK to me, maybe because I don't (or want to) romance him so he cant cheat on me.

Liam... I really like him and want to romance him so bad. I still don't get why someone hate him. He's so friendly and really care about Ryder.

Nope, in ME franchise, that special place is still reserved for Miranda for me.

I came to like Liam very much by the end of the first Andromeda run, and regret romancing Jaal instead for story purposes.

Honestly, trying to pick the most boring squadmate is like trying to pick the blandest glass of water.

No hate for Jacob but he was and still is the most boring character... Liam is not his legacy and Im glad.
