It depends on what the DLC is and the price. If the DLC is to close up most of the dangling plot lines, the price is reasonable, without more time wasting travel animations / toing and froing, and better written dialogues, it would make the story / game better.

The tone was at least slightly more jaunty than I prefer. I really like most of the new crew, as I get to know them better, but I definitely don't need a Citadel 2.0. I think that DLC was needed because of the unique nature of the situation created by ME3's ending, and the need to say goodbye to our long-time companions. A similar DLC for this crew would feel ridiculous and out of place, I think. I don't believe it would be well received, in general. I suspect that it would draw much criticism. I'm not replying to be adversarial. I just wanted to offer a different opinion.

Maybe, we will see... as of right now, they have to fix a TON of bugs first. Then... there is not ONE feature in the game that is not unfinished, everything is missing something, everything could have been done way better. And while some of this features can be fixed, even via patches, some can not and even if yes, they will not change it.

Time to knock Ryder and crew on their butts I'm really not sure how dark I'd want it to get, but I definitely prefer a less jaunty (still the best word, I think) tone. The kett are really well suited to presenting some unsettling situations. These guys are pretty nasty, despite believing they are doing everyone a favor. They destroy other species forever by eviscerating their DNA. That's dark. While everyone talks about how frightening Exaltation is, I'm not sure I feel it outside of the mission that exposed it, and the immediately subsequent conversation with Jaal.

Depends on the DLC. I definitely think a DLC focused on the squad-crew relationships would be very beneficial to the game especially if the squad content was spaced out through out the main game or could be done at any time because I feel like some more bonding moments with the crew/squad is needed. It is so odd to me that there is just not as much dialogue it feels for the squad and crew through out the game when you are on the tempest. But that's probably going to be a final dlc ala citadel. Still I'd enjoy it.
I'd also enjoy any sort of ryder family interaction in dlc too. Maybe something like in DA2 where you did a long mission with your brother/sister? I really liked that dlc as it let my hawke square things away with carver. Since the ryder bro/sis is asleep for like nearly all of the game it'd be a good dlc to have as well.
As for non-character interaction dlcs I'd like to discover more about the remnant or the scourge. Perhaps a mission centered around an explorable new planet with some of its own mysteries. Please no desert and no ice planet. Maybe a grasslands? Or hell I'd even like to return to habit 7 and make it a real settlement. I found that planet so cool and interesting, it sucks you never return to it. That would be a good dlc too now that I think about it. Maybe the dlc could be centered around making a planet a larger settlement which would have you involved in some missions, some political nonsense, and your stereotypical wtf mission when something horrible goes wrong.
Really as long as they add some interesting dlc I'd be happier.

I already consider it to be a good game (better than FO4 in every way,) so any future dlc will merely enhance the experience.

No. No matter how good a DLC is, if the game needs redeeming in your eyes, nothing will manage.
You'll just bitch and moan about some of the new stuff and how it's "horribly bad" as well, and how they made you pay for what undoubtedly, truly must have been cut content that should've shipped with the game and how they're assholes for making you pay extra for it.
So, no. A DLC can't redeem the game, because your kind doesn't want it redeemed.

Where's my option for "ME:A is a damn good game already, DLC would definitely make it better, though?" I don't think Andromeda needs to be "redeemed." Yes, there are issues, but by and large, I've very much enjoyed my time with this game. I personally view it as my favorite Bioware game to date. Are there things that could do with some work? Absolutely. Tighten up some stuff for a sequel. But overall, ME:A is a very good game in my opinion, albeit with some flaws. A few of them fairly glaring, but not enough to dampen my enjoyment. +1

The main thing they need to do is fix the CC. Fed up of seeing every white Ryder looking like my one's identical twin brother.

Can a DLC make the game better and boots its score? Possibly
Can a DLC help me trust Bioware and the quality of their games in the future? Absolutely not.

DLC will not fix the problems only changing and fixing the boring way the weapons are upgraded and all the rest.

Redeemed?
Sorry, can't fix bad writing. This thing is T for teeny. Console game writing at it's worst.
You can turn Goonies into Silence of the Lambs.
All they can do is keep catering to the streamlined-loving simpletons of the world. They'll eat this stuff up. No matter what the DLC is.
It's important to note, though. On the other side of the spectrum, people don't run around saying that Witcher 3 needs redeeming. But that game is highly overrated.
People that rave about Witcher III are your typical Generation Z gamers (Born: 1995-2012). They grew up on this planet with very little gaming experience. They were born with tablets in their hands. They have no patience for hardcore PC games. Or true RPG's like Lotro or D&D.
They set aside their sippy cups and drool over Witcher III as if it's the bees knees of RPG's. But that game is just another bouncy castle, console RPG.
It's a joke to even hear people talk about 'builds' in these types of games. There are no builds in console RPG's. You become a god in a couple of levels and you blow everything up. That's it. It's really that simple. Yet all the kids talk like they have skill and strategy to offer. Pro-tipping their way into oblivion and self-embarrassment over this garbage.
The only thing this game needs is an mature, intelligent writer and better cut scene direction.
But that can't be done now. It's too late for that.
So from there, the only thing you can really do with this game is give these kids more enemy variety, and more cheesy content.
