Your point being? That doesn't suddenly mean Scott can only romance 1 female. As for the amount of content not being equal welcome to every other demographic. Unless you're gonna say Liam and Jaal got equal treatment. I'm not even going to start on that Vivienne comment let's just say we disagree and leave it at that. What I meant is that I'm ok with them making an African-looking female LI in any of their games unless she is the only human female avaliable for romance. Why? We had a game where the only male human LI was black, and no-one complained then. We also had a game where all of the LI's were asian, and plenty where the only female humans were white.

Ultimately, does it matter? I never give a damn about what race the character belongs to, I don't give two turds if they're white, far-eastern, middle-eastern, black, albino, I wouldn't care what colour they are even if they were purple, polka-dot, or luminous lime green. All that matters is that the character is very well-written, is well voice acted, gives us something a bit different so we can see another side of the setting that differs from the present, and makes sense within the lore.
People are too hung up on race, on sexuality, on gender with these games. Care about the characters, about the setting, about the story, not biological issues.
Edit: I get the feeling I'm about to get a lot of hate for my opinion...

Yes. It's annoying. I would like for a black female love interest very much. Maybe I'd have interest in romancing a female human. Until then, I stick with aliens.

They might do once a while black female LI though, it's not like BW can do female LI's for all races for every game.

Ultimately, does it matter? Yes. Representation is important and black women typically get the short end of the stick in that regard. It doesn't help that there a lot of harmful stereotypes about black women, and so it's important to represent demographics in ways which break down these stereotypes. Plus, some people find black women more attractive than white women, so it would be nice for them. We've had plenty of mass effect games with white female LIs.

Heh, I'm neutral on both of them myself, but I think it's perfectly understandable that people who played a femShep who romanced Jacob would hate him considering that he cheats on her and gets the other woman pregnant. It seems like a characterization that begs for hatred in that particular case, don't you think?

You ignored all my other points. I didn't ignore any of your points, they just weren't really relevant. What you said goes without saying. You presented the idea that the race, gender, sexuality etc of a character doesn't matter as long as they're well written, voice acted well etc etc. I presented the idea that representation does matter. When people ask for representation, the most common response is "doesn't matter as long as they're a good character". Those who are asking for representation however, aren't asking for a character of any particular race, gender, sexuality at the expense of the quality of the character's writing. It's clear that they want a character that's developed and characterised well, they just want this character to belong to a particular demographic so as to represent that demographic.

WHY BIOWARE?!! What is so hard about creating black woman that can be romanced by a male? You can easily fix this! I personally believe that they have issues of black women being love interests, and I figured that they wouldn't like they did it with Vivienne. And this made me so happy!!!

At least there have been black characters to romance in the games. Where are characters descended from native indians, from australian aboriginals, amazonian tribes, samoan, inuit...? The list goes on and on, countless possibilities. I'd rather they added characters with more unusual racial backgrounds, to see how the wider universe and technology has affected their cultures.

Dark-skinned Cora with blonde short hair is my favourite. She looks a lot like Zoe Kravitz here. Oh god that would be so good and original and all Current Cora looks soooo friggin weak compared to her concept art.

There has never been a BW game where there was only one female option other than NWN. Andromeda has only one straight female. Even if we ignore sexual orientation, the amount of content with bith women was far from equal. BW had a chance with Viviene, but that gave her bold head, unlikable character traits and no romance option. And by what insane sort math would that make this hypothetical character the only option? To begin with, if you just entirely disqualify bisexual characters as options, that's your own hangup, not something the game is maneuvering you into. More importantly, how on earth did you manage to dodge logic enough to assume this hypothetical romanceable character wouldn't be bi herself?
