Havarl and Voeld I find them both visually appealing even tho yeah voeld is all snow and ice but 'cos I live in a country where winter is like almost half a year long, I found it quite homey. But the thing that did it for me in Voeld was the giant creatures under the ice near one of the Angara outpost. I loooooove whales and their singing and the creatures under the ice were just amazing even tho you can't really see them well but it just did it for me. Went to see them several time and just listen and look at them.

I was kinda trying to get a sense of what folks liked about planet design and interacting with the environment, etc, to see which aspects of open-world design the Bioware folks got right and what folks liked about it. With this criteria, I don't think I can actually vote for any planet. I enjoyed playing through Kadara, because by then I had learned to space the missions in a non-exhausting way and to just ignore enemy spawns unless I really wanted to fight them. Kadara has some good world building and I liked how it was being populated, and I found the main quest arc fun. However, the game doesn't really explain how helping Reyes with his problems helps the main objective, and apparently fixing the vaults early isn't reflected in dialogue so that you still get the water filter quests and water is referred to as toxic (I could be mistaken about this?).

Havarl because it looks beautiful, unique and alien and it doesn`t require the Nomad.

Kadara. It's an incredibly beautiful planet and has at the same time the best storyline. I really liked the dirty business on it together with the nice views. Only problem I have is that I'm as soon as my Ryder is on Kadara I don't want to move on to another planet anymore

Voeld is my favorite because I like ice planets. Also because I like to pretend that the planet's real name is Hoth.
Havarl is my least favorite, mostly because I despise wandering around in the jungle in the dark. The mission to unlock to the vault is mind-bogglingly ridiculous, and I hope whoever designed that level never designs anything in games ever again. "I duno, I just don't think there's enough jumping." And for such a small planet, there's a lot of backtracking. There's getting to the top of that stupid tower, then the Roekaar guy, then the memory, then "meet me here" again, and then, thankfully, because you've been hopping all over the planet for four hours you're left with a blissfully short vault experience, but it's mostly just painful. I'd skip the whole planet if it was possible. I despise Havarl.

I enjoy Eos the most.
Eos has a well developed backstory. We start out exploring Sites 1 and 2, and learning about the early setbacks and losses. Then, every step of the way, I feel like I'm accomplishing something that will help our species (plural) to get a foothold in this new galaxy. I love its topography, with caves, plateaus, hills and valleys. I love its color-palette. I think it's a believable world with great stories. (Some of the side quests really have "feels".)
For the rest of the game, we encounter worlds on which people have already established a foothold. While I love them all, Eos is special. It's the one that was pretty much barren before we arrived.

It looked great and driving around on it was a blast. Drack sounded like he was having fun too.

I loved the story elements and events on Kadara and Eladeen.
I liked Eos and Voeld but not as much as the others.
In future games I would like to see one or two Kadara/Eladeen size maps and then more linear elements like the Exaltation Facility. When exploring random planets would be fun to run into H047C like planets where there are one or two quests, you get to drive around and have fun and then move on.
Aya and Nexus were excellent hub locations. Loved them both.
I love open world elements but they need to be reigned in a bit in future games. More linear story driven areas would be good. I think the bones are there between MEA and ME3 to create a solid hybrid that would be a ton of fun. Though the completionist in me loved this game.

My favorite planet was Voeld because I'm a cold weather creature and a sucker for snowy landscapes. It also had some really nice atmospheric moments like the whales under the ice and the angaran ruins with the AI.
Second place would be Aya, I really liked the angaran stuff and it was both a nice quest hub and a great atmosphere. I loved the first few times there feeling truly alien to everything.
I really liked the story and quests on Havarl and Kadara more than the rest but the exploration of both worlds really really detracted from the experience. With havarl it was the oppressive foliage and being attacked every five feet. On kadara it was the really annoying transition between the port, the slums and finally the explorable map, oh and also getting attacked every 100 feet.
I will say meridian was cool but gave me a weird sense of vertigo if you looked up...which is actually looking down on the other side of the world...it was weird.

Havarl, because of it's contained size and quest pacing. Felt like an old-school BioWare zone, but with a second act. Good to do in two satisfying chunks.
Voeld is nice and expansive but it became my Hinterlands on my first PT.
Eos had potential, but ends up a bit boring. It's atmospheric at the beginning but that clears up too quickly.
Elaaden is the best designed landscape. Lots of varied conditions for the nomad. It's just the narratives feel a bit under-written here.
Kadara looks and feels nicely alien, and contains the best sub-plot in the game, but is somehow annoying.
H047c was pretty fun. Here's hoping we have worlds with different gravity in a sequel or DLC. Be good to change up jet-pack usage in low and high gravity environments.
Edit: Aya, while feeling large enough to represent an Anagram city, suffers from grid syndrome. It's clear it's layout was drawn up on graph paper. Be nice for future cities to have a more organic layout.

I think I'd say Elaaden is my favorite. I just like the environment. I like driving around it.
Havarl is a pretty planet, though I somehow have managed to accidentally neglect it and it's the planet I've visited the least. I think someone said they didn't really like walking around and shooting the wildlife there? I actually liked that part, funny enough. Other places it's like,'Oh, there's that stupid bug thing again. Go away.' Maybe odd of me to like, but there you go.
But anyway, there's just something about walking through this dark, rainy jungle-like environment with your gun up that feels adventurous.
Kadara might be one of the planets I like the least environment-wise. Well, not when it comes to the port or the slums or the bar. Walking into a seedy bar with water dripping down from the ceiling? Nice. I actually like those parts of Kadara. They stand out.
I just find that when I get out there with the Nomad, the words that come to mind for me are "ugly hellhole"... which I guess is not necessarily a bad thing? And I do feel a little bit like Jaal. 'God, I hate Kadara.'
I guess Kadara is a mixed bag in general to me. The quests don't really interest me. But at the same time, it has stuff like Reyes' quests (and interacting with him surprisingly turned out to be one of the most enjoyable parts of the game) so there you go.
Voeld is one of my favorites... Not really sure why Aya is included but of course it's great. Eos being the first planet you visit after Habitat 7 seems boring to me once I get everything else unlocked because it's the beginner planet, but I wouldn't say it's bad. Habitat 7 itself has that nice alien feel to it and H-047c is a nice change of pace.

What's interesting is that many of the planet's we visited might look very different in the sequel. Imagine actually going to a beach on Eos with the crew.
I would be more interested in thawed out Voeld. The intro to the planet mentions that in its pre-scourge state it was oceans, so I imagine archipelagos and rivers, and waterfalls, and just glorious fluid water world, with nomad going amphibious. Amphibious monsters, diving into underwater grottos, yeah, would be awesome...

I chose Kadara because it had the best mission chain and writing in my opinion. Intrigue, romance (if you choose), shady dealings and morally dubious characters that kept you guessing. It was very noirish - with my Sara playing the idealistic gumshoe detective out of her depth and Reyes as our femme fatale . I also dug the dystopian wild frontier vibe. The port was cool too. Though I wish it were bigger - or at least had quests where we explored otherwise inaccessible areas to make it feel like we're only seeing a part of it (like Omega in ME2). Honorable mentions are Havarl (beautiful, mysterious, alien - and I did like the 'main' quest there). Habitat 7 was my favorite visually (reminds me of a Salvador Dali painting), though I wish we could've returned to explore other parts of it later in the game.

Now that would bring back those KOTOR days on Manaan with the Selkath. There's plenty of thing BioWare could do with a world like that.

It's hard to pick just one... but for me the most mindblowing was Aya. Similar feelings like arriving at the Citadel for the first time.
Aya - most interesting Havarl - most beautiful Voeld/Elaaden - best for long drives H047c - most fun to drive
Would love to have more time on Meridian, though. That planet/station has so much potencial!

Interesting how varied the responses are....shows how these forums are so hotly debated at times. I hated Havarl, but mostly because I hated the Angarans. I thought H-047c was the best, wish there was more to do there. Eos, Voeld, Eladaan, Kadara all felt pretty similar, not bad, but nothing to make one stand out above the others.

I loved Meridian. It was highly enjoyable driving in a pretty straight line, occasionally accelerating, to arrive at my first shootout. The scenery looked nice. Next thing I knew, I walked five feet and I discovered a vault! Easy peasy. That was just about the right amount of exploration. After that, I killed everything once I went inside. No side quests to do, or anything. Loved that. And I really enjoyed the squad mate banter, I must say. So, of course I voted for Meridi- oh.

Speaking of interesting planets, I just scanned Netiquur. It has large plant growth linked together like a single organism. Can't help but wonder if this isn't another Thorian.

H-047c & Havarl
H-047c is interesting in my opinion because it basically acts like a counterpoint to the locations you've seen so far. That combined with the the whole experience of driving around in your Nomad in reduced gravity and its surroundings gave it a feeling of being unique.
Havarl was my second choice because it felt much more compact than the other 'golden worlds' and that made it much more fun to walk through then let's say Eos. Combined with the bio-luminescent tropical forests and dinosaur like animals gave it a very 'Avatar' like vibe.
Finally, I'd really love it if Bioware would expand on several planets in the Heleus cluster by creating several smaller maps/environments like those two above in a future DLC. Several of those planets contain exotic conditions and even lifeforms which would be awesome to discover. It could even give a little true 'exploration' feeling to the game instead of retracing paths already taken by the Initiative/Exiles/Angara.
Maybe combine that with adding content/missions for characters like your non-squadmates (Lexi, Suvi, Gil & Kallo) on the Tempest or with the other Pathfinders you find along the way.

Kadara - My favourite planet mostly because I already dubbed it as the "New Omega". The environment was visually appealing for me (although some of those mountains are annoying to climb) and I love the story arc regarding the exiles. Kadara Port is probably one of my favourite places in Andromeda (Like I said, "New Omega").
Habitat 7 - It was okay for me, nothing too exciting. The floating rocks and glowing korus looked cool though.
Eos - Visually, it's not the most intriguing one out of all the planets we get to explore. However, some of the story and areas are pretty cool. The outpost certainly feels homey and August Bradley is pretty awesome.
Eladaan - Although I'm not a huge fan of dessert planets, I actually didn't find the planet that bad. The giant Remnant ship reminds me so much of Jakku from Star Wars. Also, the krogans are here! (and most of them are chilling next to a giant pit)
Voeld - I think this might be the best-looking planet for me, maybe even just a bit more so than Kadara. The scenery is breath-taking, and when I finally activated the vault, that was probably the turning point for when Voeld looked even better than Kadara.
Aya - The city looks nice and lively, and it was interesting doing some of the side-quests here. It'd be great if we could explore the planet more though.
H047c - Damn, this is also a nice-looking planet location. The scenery was definitely breath-taking. I've only just recently started my 2nd playthrough, but I feel as though I should go back to my original Ryder and just explore H047c further, since the only time I went there was for Vetra's loyalty mission.
Havarl - This is a 50/50 for me. I wasn't a big fan of how compact & small it is, and the wildlife certainly annoyed me that I can never seem to take a peaceful stroll anywhere. However, the views can be gorgeous, especially at Mithrava or during Jaal's loyalty mission.

I appreciated that Havarl had lots of stuff in a smaller area after going to planet after planet of big and sparse.
I though H047c was nicely designed, and it was definitely visually impressive, but because it was so limited it's a little tedious to revisit. That first impression though was excellent.

Voled:Nice, cold, and atmospheric. I just love how beautiful it is and it probably has the best and most interesting of the planetary plots and plus the rescuing of the Moshae takes place on Voled, and honestly there are a lot of cool side quests on it. Eos: For the opening planet of the game this one was a vast improvement over the Hinterlands. It was clearly built along the same idea, 'introduce people to the game and its mechanics', but it had a really nice through story with the Vault and the first real main quest of the game. However, it is a bit odd that after you open the vault Eos becomes kind of listless and it does not have that good of a secondary plot. Kadara: The last of the planets that I really loved. It had very much of a rough and rugged Yellowstone vibe that I really liked, and while it was a bit of a slow burn its planetary plot and side plots became really interesting and it was kind of a good contrast with more of an idealist Ryder. Probably made me the most uncomfortable playing it, but for good reasons. Elaadan: Beatiful, had an interesting main plot, and felt very Krogan....but it had its fair share of issues and as the only planet with no connection to the main story. Havarl: I hated Havarl. Its stupid claustraphobia with a constant Roekar/ Angry beast presence made this planet super annoying to go through. Plus its color scheme. Plus the planetary plot was pretty dull compared to the rest of them. Plus only the flimsiest connection to the main plot. Ugh.

Habitat 7: Proper exploration of a weird world, with unknown aliens and dangerous atmosphere. The only planet i felt was "alien" enough, you could investigate different parts and try to figure things on your own - WITHOUT SAM. After that every planet you explore SAM is handfeeding you all info, Ryder just nods and plays along.
Kadara: It combined a good story arc with a settlement + explorable area, i found the little hidden bases added to the story. It was a bit plain in topography but it remembered me the most of ME1 worlds, with bases lying around and encounters with npcs inside (usually cinematic). It felt like a semi-livable world were the issues were more with the population than the environment, it was refreshing to not be constantly under hazardous conditions. I also really liked the sulphur springs.
