Sorry if this thread has already been done before, but I am curious.
Which planet did you enjoy the most. Why? Was it the scenery? The missions? Which planets did Bioware do right? Which needed major work? Etc.
Please be sure to follow spoiler guidelines when appropriate!

☆ Havarl
The only planet that has a very unique feel to it besides 7. The rest feel too empty and Earth like.
I love Havarl because it feels truly alien and it had this wow factor. The rest just felt boring and didn't give me the wow factor.
But i also expected more variety in alien lifeforms among all planets.
Tired of the same reskinned life...😂
Lesson for MEA 2.😊

Havarl for three reasons. It looks alien. It isn't too big. It doesn't feel grindy as the questing is engaging and I never feel like I am doing filler content. The second and third reasons are obviously related.

Havarl has the best flow in its quest line as well as a good mix of somewhat open and narrow areas. You can get it to 100% viability without having to spend too much time on busywork and without much backtracking. It's basically the anti-Kadara.

The snowy one. Can't mind its name. Voeld. That's my favorite too. A lot of people complain about the temperature stuff, but that's mainly when you first get there. Everything on Voeld is beautiful. I think I just like snow planets because Noveria was one of my favorite planets in ME1. I love driving around on Voeld. Havarl was too cluttered and dark for me.

It had good side missions, I liked working with the Angara, and I liked driving in the snow!

Elaaden. I felt like this was the one that had world design over functionality. The others were too 'packed' with stuff, too MMO'ish.

Havarl is great and reminded me of the Frostback Basin in DAI: JOH, but once we restore Voeld, that aurora just captures my heart!

Eos It was my favorite vault as well. Havarl seems to be running away with it but it was one of my least favorite. Two things that bugged me about it. No Nomad, and I hate not being able to see past the end of my nose. Don't get me wrong it is a well done environment, I just never cared for being out in it.

Havarl was about the right length I think planets should be in a Mass Effect game. Would rather they have a handful of smaller more interesting planets than three or four large but mostly lacking in life planets.
Plus I felt like the environment could kill me in Havarl and I couldn't avoid it by standing in the shade or next to a heat lamp.
Kadara was the worst for me if for no other reason than constantly having to go to the docks, access a terminal, then go to the exploration map, and then go back to another terminal to enter the hub...so many missions have you coming and going and I got really sick of having to take that elevator up and down.

By the way if you are going to include Aya, which is just a city you should have included the Nexues as a choice.

Agreed! I prolly would have liked Kadara the best of not for the bad traveling mechanics. It was the most interesting landscape/terrain by far, and I liked dealing with the water because it was challenging until it was fixed (I got killed so many times in that damned water!). It also has some interesting side missions. I liked the length of Havarl, but I am a sucker for driving around in the Nomad. Plus...I found it difficult to see anything that was happening in the jungle. I felt like I was constantly under attack! I realize that is the point, but it made me feel very claustrophobic.

Liked Eos the most, it captured an "arid world" feeling quite well (mind, not desert, but arid) and had the best background story... site 1, site 2, research, the monoliths and vaul, remnant sites, random kett encounters. Past that, everything is just carbon copy.. though Voeld resistance cave was ok. Never liked Havarl, never liked to shoot wildlife and Roekaar every 5 steps and this overgrown stuff does not make it any more alien and Andromeda like then anything else.

Voeld is really nice, especially after the Vault is activated. Think I just enjoyed the atmosphere of the place, and how mysterious the structures seemed.
Elaaden is my second favorite because the buried Remnant ship created the best one of the best openings for the planets. The sense of danger was also a nice touch, because it seemed like I couldn't trust anyone living there.

By the way if you are going to include Aya, which is just a city you should have included the Nexues as a choice. Yeah...I considered that (as well as Meridian, which is a planet). But I axed Nexus for not being a planet (and I wanted to stay away from Arks, the Tempest, etc). I axed Meridian because I don't consider what we did there in any way equivalent to the other locations. There is always the screwed up 1st option (this was...ahem...obviously my first poll). We can just consider that "OTHER"

Havarl hands down.
Only two places that made me feel like I was in another galaxy, Havarl and Habitat 7. Havarl had different looking trees, plants, had the animals flying in the sky. It also was nighttime, so my suit lights were on, and it was raining. It had open marsh type areas, where you were going through water.
IMHO the planets should have been a mix of areas, some that you could rive through in the Nomad, and others that you could enter on foot. Subterranean caverns, jungles, marshes, better caves than what we saw. This would have added some diversity the worlds that were just sand and ice, which I really didn't enjoy.
I say this because I think the reason they didn't have full planets like Havarl is because they probably couldn't be rendered fast enough given the speed of the Nomad. It's probably why your mount was so slow in DA:I. But having different areas would have allowed you to see different things on each world.

I felt pretty much the same, which is part of why I liked it so much. Definitely wouldn't want to feel that way all the time with every planet otherwise I'd have to take a lot of breaks and just go get fresh air...but the fact the planet made me feel something was what was so great.

Earth. Why? Its the best looking planet in the universe. excellent. Eos. A lot of beachfront property can be built there. Get in some surfing, grow some palm trees. Have a few golf courses. Dune buggy races. And for my Ryder, the kett stronghold will be used as a base of operations and residence

Probably because the Nexus is not a planet. Well yea but Aya is nothing but a city, you can't actually explore the planet. Haha yeah but it's a planet, so I was looking at it literally, though exploring it might have been fun! Except those tornado things freak me out a bit... and this talk of fresh air with all that volcanic coverage makes me scratch my head in confusion.
