Being able to biotic combo chain by myself. Jetpack Vetra as LI
Also I liked not having paragon/renegade options. Things were more morally grey.
Not much else to be honest and I would trade it all for a good linear story like ME2. Too many side quests and the "open world exploration" aka endless driving killed the pacing for me and replay value.

I will always, always miss the "Talk = Cutscene" that plagued all of ME3 which they fixed in Andromeda by at least giving us all-cutscene for every companion on board the tempest. I'll miss not being able to holster in ME3.
I just hate ME3, why wasn't that game just a little bit better?

Kallo. Better than Joker, I say. Has free speech gone too far? I don't think it's gone far enough! The crippled neckbeard can annoy me considerably sometimes. I should have mentioned Adams vs. Gil too. To hell with that guy. Maybe it's the voice, or his face. Or something, but he should have taken Pressly's place in the Collector attack on the SR1. I'd gladly just have Gabby, Ken and Tali be my engineering crew.

Everything.
The MET was great, do not misunderstand me. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Shepard, even with the many (MANY) issues I had with the last two games of the OT. But that story is done, I've played through ME1 about 15 times, ME2 at least 5 or 6, and ME3...well, 1 full playthrough and about 4 or 5 aborted runs once I finished the Tuchanka story arc. Just couldn't force myself to keep going in that game.
ME:A? The crew is Ryder's crew, and I wouldn't want ANY of the MET's crew over here. To be fair, I wouldn't bring this crew back to the MET, 'cause that crew was great for that story, but I love this new crew. WAY more interesting after 1 game than the original crew felt after ME1. That crew took 3 games for me to love 'em. This one, I'm hooked from the word go.
Combat in ME:A has spoiled me, completely. I just can't see myself going back to the MET for a combat system that I felt was clunky at the time, much less after playing ME:A.
I could go on and on, but I like Ryder more than I do Shepard, I like the Tempest at least as well as I liked the Normandy(s), I like the crew as much after 1 game as I did the MET's after 3...
ME:A is a game with faults. Some fairly large ones. Some story inconsistencies and instances of poor writing. Technical issues galore. But the OT wasn't immune from these things, either. But overall, it's my favorite Bioware game, just slightly edging out ME1. ME1 had a better overall story, but the difference in gameplay is so massive that it pushes ME:A just over the top, in my opinion.

What I miss when playing the MET right now:
jetpack - so much fun and so fluid and fast combat - ME2 and ME3 have good combat but MEA is the best so far combat system where I can mix and match - this might be the best step forward so far Nomad - I loved this so much more than the mako, but it does need a weapon
Ryder - I do like the male ryder I made. He's not shepard but I love him.
Wow, that's kind of sad. There is nothing in MEA aside from some combat upgrades and a vehicle and my specific male ryder that I miss in MET. I've been replaying MET and am nearing the end of ME2 right now and can say that I am having far more fun with it (and did with ME1) than I had with MEA at any point except at the start when I was excited because it was full of potential before I watched it being squandered at every turn.
They REALLY need to hire better writers. And maybe new composers. The music in MEA is just not good or mostly absent and I'm realizing how much that adds to MET. I always loved the music in MET but now it really stands out so much more. ME2 has great scores for every mission with one really great one for the suicide one. MEA, nothing

Jetpacks and remnant structures (not just the vaults but other structures liked the crashed ship on Elaaden). I like weird alien stuff. Other than that I probably miss more from the trilogy while playing MEA. That is not meant as a knock on MEA the trilogy is mainly more fleshed out.

The loot system. Not having to scan every corner of a room for an upgrade or item you'll otherwise miss. Yeah, that part my OCD work overtime. I must have it all, but damn it... where is it?!?

About everything. That's the reason I am not going to replay MET again any time soon - If ever...
As I said in another topic, I have played the MET just before the release of ME:A, and to my own surprise I had to force myself to play it to the end. I noticed I lost interest and I was completely burned out on that trilogy. I am afraid I simply played it too often and it backfired. Too bad, but it is as it is.

I'll miss being able to choose any power from any of the classes, but I won't miss having only three mapped powers at a time.
I have to ask, what does everyone mean when they say they'll miss the melee? I found that most melee weapons aren't very effective, unlike ME3 where you just melee a standard enemy and they're dead. It's why I went with the cryo gauntlet because that actually is useful because it freezes them solid.

It's why I went with the cryo gauntlet because that actually is useful because it freezes them solid. One of the Kett swords has a fire-based DOT that ticks, and is included in the added shields per second of the Vanguard. Asari Sword has a lock-on and teleport animation that includes invulnerability frames, and makes "aiming" a melee attack in a hectic situation easier. You mentioned the Cryo Gauntlet, so no need to get into that. I believe one of the Angaran daggers has an electric shock on hit that staggers/stuns enemies. There's a pretty good variety of different melee options, plus the jump-melee attack.

It's why I went with the cryo gauntlet because that actually is useful because it freezes them solid. One thing about the melee weapon is that if the player doesn't use it, it can add damage for other weapons. I have a kett sword, it not only has melee damage, but has burn damage as well, with 5 slots filled with 3% weapon damage each. That gives 15% extra damage to pistol, shotgun, smg, sniper rilfe and assault rifle. I still use the sword, but having that extra damage for weapons helps.

Only thing I would miss is HD graphics. I despise having to load all my texmods for the ME2-3. I use MEUITM for ME1 so no long loads.

- Jumpjet and platforming elements - Jumping and dodging during combat - Better squad AI - Picking whatever dang gun I want to use (in ME1 and 2) and what powers I want to use - Banter and the increased squad interaction - The more natural flow of dialogue (I'm cringing at the "I should go" exit of Shepard) - Jaal , Drack and Lexi - Nomad - No major loading times on the ship and other areas - The Angara
