This is something I think we're pretty interested in - we're still working out a lot of the details but I'll make sure I bring this up in our next sync. 😊

Many devs have struggled with providing actual challenge, rather than tedium in boss and mob design in online PvE games. It's certainly a discussion to have, a problem to be solved in any of numerous ways - but which? Giving enemies better AI and evironmental awareness, allowing them proper mobility and abilities, that's a start. Not resorting to cheap mechanics like one shots and immunities without providing proper counter play is something to be mindful of. I think of mobs and bosses in games as puzzles, the good ones can be solved in different ways, provided different tools are applied. The best games make me think, "how best to approach this situation? What to use? What might it do in response?" rather than, "how many times will I have to shoot this thing before I get bored of it?"

There's also a real discussion to be had about enemies that can one shot you too. Playing a vanguard against enemies that magnetically one shot you if you get in melee range is a different experience than playing a sniper against that same enemy. Those examples are, mind you, different than an encounter involving a one shot that's avoidable by the entire party, simply by hiding behind pillars when a boss does it's massive one shot aoe.

There's a lot to think about, a lot they may or may not do. Time will tell.
