If there's banging, it won't be in first person. Whether that's the only time you're not in first person outside your suit remains to be seen. Haha, that's true! I was thinking possibly you are first person walking around but third person for cutscenes. Which wouldn't be horrible but I'd definitely prefer the option to be third person all the time. I'm thinking what we could get is side mission conversations done in first person (to cut down on animation costs and only animate one character) while big story cutscenes are done in third person. I could live with that. |

As interested as I am in Anthem, I'm a little disappointed that the Beyond Good and Evil prequel doesn't seem to be getting much attention... (Yes, it looks like a totally different kind of game, but honestly, I kind of expected that from Michel Ancel. He doesn't seem to like following a formula, if he can avoid it). Maybe I just haven't been paying enough attention.

Sorry, I'm being off-topic...First up, BGE2 was my favorite trailer of E3.  It has gotten some attention in the gaming media, but since it was just a cinematic trailer (and still early in development) it wasn't going to make any of the "Best of Show" lists. Of the games we did see gameplay for, Anthem was definitely in the running for BoS, along with a couple of other games. |

Well I'd be certainly hoping that the co-op/multiplayer aspects of this game didn't include the romances, that'd just be awkward. What counts as explicit banging? I've never liked those awkward gyrating scenes they had in Origins or Mass Effect. Always have been a fade to black girl myself. |

Man, I love when people deep dive into game engines. The last time I worked on a 3D renderer was during my math degree (and obviously it was much simpler than what games use), but it was one of the most enjoyable classes I took. It's such a crazy thing we've done as a species. We've constructed machines that convert a bunch of linear algebra into images of plants and animals and people. All we have to do is feed them a bunch of of numbers, and they'll conjure up any world we imagine. |

I really want that game to do well. BGE2, Anthem, and The Last Night are the stand outs to me. Oh, and Assassin's Creed. I've only played the first two, and this new one seems more like those. (Also, Ooblets, but I've already known about that game for a while, so I'm not sure if it counts). I probably wouldn't have given Anthem a second thought if it wasn't for the fact that it's from BioWare. I'm super curious about how it will turn out! |

Just when I made peace with the fact that this game wasn't for me, you make me all exited with the Imperial Agent storyline writer also involved in Anthem! Ironically while I quite happy with many of the writers being on Anthem, learning the Imperial Agent writer was involved was a huge turn off for me. Ugh. |
