could be calculated off base weapon damage. need to compare 3.125 * 2 * 5 = 31.25 with the carniflex's base damage .. (what level carniflex was used in test ? other damage bonuses ?) What is listed on the ammo's card ? Then fire two bullets and see if the DOT total damage matches .. Level X no passives or buffs, base damage 225.5 By that formula it would be 22.55 if it scaled with base damage EDIT: when I say stacking I don't mean when I shoot more than once and the DOT does more damage, I mean that the base damage does not affect the DOT at all. Avenger: 47 - 1 stack 3.1 Carnifex: 225.5 - 1 stack 3.1 doesn't scale

I'm assuming that you're taking in both the Avenger and Carni in the same match and testing them both? Is there a chance that cryo isn't properly applying to a second weapon? Was the carni chilling enemies? That could be the case. What's strange is that incendiary applied to both weapons.

I'm assuming that you're taking in both the Avenger and Carni in the same match and testing them both? Is there a chance that cryo isn't properly applying to a second weapon? Was the carni chilling enemies? That could be the case. What's strange is that incendiary applied to both weapons. Yeah, I had assumed it worked with the earlier ammo tests, so that makes it extra strange. Not just like it's the Carni that's bugged, or second weapons that are bugged. Maybe Cryo specifically?

I've actually been wanting to jump into the testing stuff with y'all, because right now this looks like more fun than playing the game, but between being out of town and catching up on work since I got back, I haven't had time. I've got a bunch of elemental ammos because I've basically quit using them when I have been playing, hoping for an eventual buff to combos. Haven't really seemed worth using as it stands right now. Maybe Wednesday or Thursday I'll have time if no one has got to it by then.

Maybe fire ammo DOT is totally independent on weapon used ? SCALES ONLY WITH ROF ? 3.125 * 3 = 9.375
two shots .. total damage inflicted (wait for all dot ticks), 3 shots same ..etc . Should scale perfectly linearly if they learned anything from ME3MP.
Also missed opportunity to detonate some combos ..

Maybe it scales by the level of the incendiary rounds. It basically means that there is no point in bringing indendiary rounds if you use a slow firing weapon, unless you just want detonations.

I can't speak for testing the actual % damage boost but I did test and confirmed that it does not give you "free" lingering damage boost with fast ROF weapons the way Tac Cloak does. First round boosted only.

What is known about stealth grid (with and without ambush grid) and avenger strike? Did anyone get around to test this? We are limited by progression and leveling at the moment, I don't have a class with stealth gird or avenger stike leveled up because I never played them before and basically have stopped playing this game other than testing lol. Plus I've been testing other things, there are so many things still to test.

I just remembered something I recorded because it's a funky power/combo interaction. I mean, it's normal for MEA, but it's not what I expected to see. gfycat.com/AmusingAmbitiousBalloonfish 4 hits to the Anarchist - Nova, Charge/Combo, Melee x2. What's weird to me is that I would expect a detonator power to do damage from the power AND from the combo, but it looks there like the second hit is only a single damage tick. I'm going to mess around getting a combat log up tonight, but in the meantime if anyone would like to test that I'd be interested in seeing results. Does anyone recall from ME3MP if both the detonator and combo applied individual damage ticks?

So I used AutoHotKey a bit with a little script to automate charge length and also one to automate intervals between clicks (use a sleep function).
Still variation though. Thinking this might be from frame times. But I think it will end up being good enough.
Also I tried the omni-blade to see if I could get weakpoint hits. Didn't see a single one against an Assembler, but I think their hitbox sucks anyway.

Zalkin Charge Test
I used a simple script for AutoHotKey to automatically hold the mouse button for a set number of milliseconds. There was some confounding variation though that meant that I ended up with more a distribution of charged shots based on set hold time.
Summary
-Zalkin has uncharged and a single charged state. -Uncharged state is semi-automatic mode dealing base damage to health and armor. -Charged state is three round burst mode dealing 1.5x base damage per round. -Charged state usually reached after holding trigger for >500ms. No uncharged shots observed when set to 525ms, and no charged shots were seen when set to 450ms. Blame my sad computer for frame time variation or input lag or whathaveyou. -Zalkin has 1.65x weak point multiplier to humanoids.

Base Cloak Bonus Duration Test - Round 2Summary - Weapon damage bonus duration did not appear to be more than ~500ms, similar to previous test.
-Incinerate will get Cloak 1 bonus for impact and three DOT ticks. -Incinerate can only get cloak bonus during the 500ms window after stealth is broken, retested in 1.07. Possible to miss window entirely. See here. -Melee breaking cloak and one additional omni-blade melee received the cloak bonus. -Only the attack breaking cloak received the bonus from rank 1 Cloak, for a duration consistent with above. -As Sticky Grenades could not break cloak, they were not observed to benefit from rank 1 Cloak.
AutoHotKey was used in an attempt to generate shots at specific intervals, although the observed spacing was not exactly what was set.
Update 7 May 2017 -Tactical Cloak melee bonus is not applied to aerial / jump melee.
Update 22 May 2017 - Incinerate no longer has 3 tick bonus duration under base cloak. Tested in 1.07.

Omni-Blade Weakpoint Test AttemptGoing to keep this short and to the point: I did not observe any weak point bonus with the omni-blade on the Human Infiltrator. It was hard to aim for weak points due to the way the swing goes, but no bonus damage appeared. Tested against the bronze Assembler, Nullifier, and tutorial Khett chosen. Does the Zalkin's bonus weak point damage apply from game enemies to players? Do players even have weak points? I imagine it would be almost impossible to balance enemy damage that way, I would be extremely suprised if we did.

could be calculated off base weapon damage. need to compare 3.125 * 2 * 5 = 31.25 with the carniflex's base damage .. (what level carniflex was used in test ? other damage bonuses ?) What is listed on the ammo's card ? Then fire two bullets and see if the DOT total damage matches .. Level X no passives or buffs, base damage 225.5carniflex X's base damage is 220 so incendiary did provide the 2.5% additive damage bosus 220 * (1 + 0.025) = 225.5 Always be weary of Weapon I and Weapon X base damage not being an integer (to my recollection, they never did that )

Something to keep an eye out for when getting around to shotguns and/or Talon, I'm not sure that they bypass shieldgate anymore (at least on Gold). Played several rounds with the Talon tonight, and multiple times on Sharpshooters I broke shield with a shot, and saw no damage pass through, even with very few shields left before hitting. I haven't payed a lot of attention with shotguns to see if they do or not.
It's always possible that I was missing with a few pellets or something, but given the generally poor performance of shotguns, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if they took that advantage way from them.

I'd like to test more ammo mechanics, such as if stacking will increase will different levels of ammo but it requires a lot of rng to get ammo in this game. I'll test ammo more when I have a lot more spare. I'll try and test the rest of the weapons against armor later.
