We don't know how the games will review yet, and 'Days Gone' has PVP? I'm not convinced that will be a draw.

According to historical Bio corp speak, the dialogue wheel with multiple choices were designed to support their "deep characters".... remember?
If the future DA4 game comes out with just binary choices, real or otherwise, the word count for these main NPCs cannot compare to the classical DA or ME games... Somehow, developing these NPCs with such a system will result in superficial characters. I bet "great story telling" and "deep characters" won't be in Bio's vocabulary when they will market that game.
Sorry, but at this point, this is a complete and utterly unsubstantiated conjecture.
Come, come. ... it's a shooter 1st. Monetization does not come from the story telling. Rather the combat world is key. Relaxing in a hub is of secondary importance (especially for the solo player) when the game was designed. All you need to do is read between the lines. What Bio is throwing at us with that personal narrative is just a bone to placate the criticism about Bio no longer creating wonderful stories. I'd rather hear Bio say it's a shooter with some story elements ... They are going after new blood anyway and that is the studio's main objective. Add Jon's "evolution in story telling" confirms this. Is it a "smoking gun"? ... no of course not. But. I see it a corroborating evidence.
Pax West is tomorrow, I think... We will know more.....
Morpheus: "know what happened happened and that it could not have happened in any other way".
I just mentioned those 2 things just to say that those 2 things can take away Anthem's hype. Days Gone is a single player post Apocalyptic game.
Aha, for sure. Anthem doesn't have PVP either, so no concerns there.

Dragon Age is a shooter 1st? You were speculating about the future of DA and this is what I referred to.
Monetization does not come from the story telling. Rather the combat world is key.
The key is the longevity of the title - and we already know that in the world of live service game this isn't necessarily or exclusively combat. FFXV is a live service game and they keep expanding game's longevity by a multitude of updates, including story content. We already know that Anthem plans to do the same.
And in case of games like DA4 - and who knows, probably Anthem too - the word you're looking for is, I'm fairly sure, replayability. Something that makes players come back. Which - incidentally - has been baked into games like DA or ME from the very start and has little to do with combat.

You can 'read between the lines' as much as you want, but even if we assume that you're right about Anthem you can't yet stretch your assumptions on any future game coming after it.
Also - don't misrepresent Jon's "evolution of storytelling" into something that it isn't. Because as much as any future game that follows Anthem will utilize things they learned when creating Anthem and apply it where it's appropriate (as it was the case with any other title before it or including Anthem itself) that is a loooooong way away from saying that all their future games will basically follow some sort of blueprint set by Anthem. Again: that is an unsubstantiated conjecture.

“The cosmos is within us. We are made of star-stuff. We are a way for the universe to know itself.”
I don't know - we will probably be trying to guess who in Bioware just pretends to be human and in reality is a spider???
Hmmm, they do have a thing for spiders, don't they...

Don't they indeed? I bet they've been sending subliminal messages in their games to mush our brains and prepare Earth for easy overtake by Spider Overlords.

Ryne Anderson @thefatwizard Before submitting changes to Anthem, developers are encouraged to play through a mission to test those changes. Each time I play this mission I see new things and frequently get caught up in exploring the world around me. #AnthemGame

Allan Schumacher allanschumacher Was playing some Anthem today and saw oodles of super cute critters at one point of the map.
Dare I say I Fennecquisition 2.0?
Mary Kirby @biomarykirby Were they grabbits? Grabbits are the best.
Allan Schumacher allanschumacher I think they might have been! I wasn't 100% sure what they're called but I'll have to confirm!
Chris Anderson🏳️🌈 @postmodernlocke I think I know the part you're talking about - can confirm, they're super cute! ...I still wouldn't try to pet them, though.
Allan Schumacher allanschumacher Seems they ARE Grabbits. I wouldn't try to pet them, no... Maybe feed and clothe an army though! 😏
Mary Kirby @biomarykirby I'm not saying that @bbattye has been raising an army of grabbits to help her conquer the world. But... those grabbits probably already have military training.
Anthem @anthemgame There's still time to ask @biomarkdarrah and @gamblemike almost anything about Anthem. Use #AMAAAA and tune in tomorrow to see if your questions are answered! #AnthemGame
But, but, but, without unsubstantiated conjecture, what would we have left to post?
*snicker*
LOL...
This however, is interesting from a Bio interview (VG247)
(1)
"We’re focusing less on a massively branching story"
(2)
“Without revealing too many details, Anthem, at its heart, is about the progression of your javelin, your powers, and chasing rare loot. That’s a primary horizon that I think will last for a good long time.... "

"We’re focusing less on a massively branching story" =/= "superficial characters" or "lack of great storytelling" (especially in their future titles)
The fact that you take this little excerpt and misconstrue it as meaning something that it doesn't... well, I think it speaks more of your attitude towards Bioware rather than Bioware itself.

To be honest a less branching story could be good for a stable narrative. Don’t want to have too many branching choices to the point where it’ll be tough to track them all especially in a multiplayer centric game.
The stream is running but the pre-panel content is a bit ropey...
