That is smart actually. Release day 1 patch early. Give those of us playing now a chance to find or data to show if fixes are working as intended. If not that is little over a day to correct any possible issues for Friday. That is what Bethesda have been doing with FO76 a while now. Patch is released early for us on PC. Hot-fix minor issues for console patch.

Dopamean @dopameanx Its always seemed to occur for me whenever there were multiple simultaneous loud explosions or sounds. Almost like old surround sound systems would shut off when they over limit. Maybe too many sound files triggering at once?

Like he mentions here, it's been a bug since the first Frostbite games. I haven't run across it too often in Anthem, maybe 3-4 times, but it is annoying. Especially since you have to restart the game to get the audio back. I'm hoping though they can fix the pop-in/pop-out enemies which is far more frequent and annoying.

If you are seeing performance degredation on PC after the patch, take a look at this post: www.reddit.com/r/AnthemTheGame/comments/at0e7h/i_fixed_the_fps_drops_in_anthem/ … YMMV but it may help. I Fixed the FPS drops in Anthem.so after the patch my fps was tanking. as i have seen with many others posting here today. it would be fine then randomly drop to 0 for a second, then maybe 1 or 2 fps, run fine then tank again. it would also crashed once. i was about to roll back my drivers but tried a couple things first, im unsure which one of these specifcaly fixed it but you can try them all or one at a time and see what works for you. in your audio drivers UI or whatever it is you have, change the default format to 24bits 44100hz(studio quality) (edit3 you can drop it to 16bit 44100) mine was previously set to 96000. i had audio stutters during loading and other weird stuff. might also fix audio drop out. had no issue with audio at all since i changed it. in your nvidia geforce control panel (not geforce experience) go to manage 3d settings. program settings tab. choose anthem. texture filtering - trilinear optimization ON. texture filtering quality - PERFORMANCE. texture filtering anisotropic sample optimization ON. power management mode - Prefer maximum performance. (this was wierdly set at optimal power which i think might have been a mess up on nvidia or anthems end leaving it as a default setting? i have never had it on that setting before.) go to control panel>system and security>advanced system settings>performance box [settings]>advanced tab>virtual memory [change] make sure your pagefile is set to your SSD and not ur HDD. mine was set to my old hdd and not my ssd where windows and anthem are installed. ill be posting a few screens to help out and format this a bit better but posting now so some people can fix the game like i have. i really hope this works for everyone or atleast a few people. goodluck freelancers. Edit: just wanted to add that I also completely closed dragon center(manages my laptop functions like RGB keyboard. Overclocking cpu and GPU. Etc) as well as SteelSeries which does other laptop related cosmetic crap. If your anything like that. Close it. Edit2: would also highly recommend changing in the NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL: TEXTURE FILTERING - TRILINEAR OPTIMISATION ON. TEXTURE FILTERING QUALITY HIGH PERFORMANCE. and this one I think makes a massive difference. MAXIMUM PRE-RENDERED FRAMES 2. Now U can try drop it to 1 or 3 or whatever. Maybe test it out. I set mine to 2 and the game is running an infinite amount better than it was this morning before screwing around with this stuff. Just to clarify if you are getting 60 fps down from 80 this stuff probably won't help you. If you ARE getting fps dropping to zero and random 5 fps spikes. Some of this stuff might help. I'm glad a lot of you have fixed the issues with this info.

Yeah, the invisible enemies are definitely part of the pop-in problem. I've run across that too. But I've definitely run into the pop-in problem post-patch.

As I've said before (sorry for the repetition), in SP games, using the Frostbite engine, complete game sound loss rarely hits. Less than 5 times across 8 runs in DAI SP. It existed in DAIMP, I didn't play it, so can't comment from experience. In MEA SP, complete game sound loss less than 10 times across 14 runs. But in MEAMP … it can be streaky, it can leave you alone for weeks at a time, but it can hit three times in the same match (with friends, reboot, rejoin match, rinse, repeat, rinse, repeat). Any map, any faction, running with any character or weapon combination. Lesser instances of the bug are far more frequent … loss of the announcer/narrator or the announcer/narrator dialog getting stuck, unlocking at the end of a wave or some event (like completion of the objective).
BioWare was aware of the bug in MEA. Their response, paraphrased: looking into it, Dice as Frostbite guys, will have to fix it.
Never got fixed, no priority was given to fixing it … so here we are ... Anthem, mostly multi-player. Bug hits hard. The worst case lose all game sound, have to reboot. Somewhat rare and streaky. Can happen anywhere. In necropolis, in free play, no one else there with me, no shooting … lost all sound.
But … the "partial" bug happens a lot … just like in MEAMP. How many times does the announcer (typically Owen, but could be Faye, Brin, whomever) go silent? You are in a world event, but none of the narrator sounds are playing. Other times … like in MEAMP, the narrator sounds get stuck … to all of a sudden rush in, out of context, once an activity is complete … this doesn't have to be the completion of the world event, it can be a way point progression item.
Again, this has been known, literally for years. It should have been fixed in previous games. It wasn't. Now, it is biting them in the ass, because they couldn't have been arsed to fix it when it was first discovered. If not for MEA and DAI, then fix it so you don't have to deal with it in Anthem.
Self-inflicted wound. This is no mystery. This is not unexpected. I have harped on this very bug for a year, WRT Anthem … and much longer, with respect to MEA. If you'd done the right thing with Andromeda, this wouldn't be an issue today, BioWare. Sympathy low light on and steady.

Ive never had sound issues yet that ive noticed. I remember it happening a few times (in hundreds of hours) in MEA. Sound would just stop playing for a few moments and then it would come back. But i never had to restart the game because of it.
DICE should have fixed this long ago since they create the engine.

I Fixed the FPS drops in Anthem.so after the patch my fps was tanking. as i have seen with many others posting here today. it would be fine then randomly drop to 0 for a second, then maybe 1 or 2 fps, run fine then tank again. it would also crashed once. i was about to roll back my drivers but tried a couple things first, im unsure which one of these specifcaly fixed it but you can try them all or one at a time and see what works for you. in your audio drivers UI or whatever it is you have, change the default format to 24bits 44100hz(studio quality) (edit3 you can drop it to 16bit 44100) mine was previously set to 96000. i had audio stutters during loading and other weird stuff. might also fix audio drop out. had no issue with audio at all since i changed it. in your nvidia geforce control panel (not geforce experience) go to manage 3d settings. program settings tab. choose anthem. texture filtering - trilinear optimization ON. texture filtering quality - PERFORMANCE. texture filtering anisotropic sample optimization ON. power management mode - Prefer maximum performance. (this was wierdly set at optimal power which i think might have been a mess up on nvidia or anthems end leaving it as a default setting? i have never had it on that setting before.) go to control panel>system and security>advanced system settings>performance box [settings]>advanced tab>virtual memory [change] make sure your pagefile is set to your SSD and not ur HDD. mine was set to my old hdd and not my ssd where windows and anthem are installed. ill be posting a few screens to help out and format this a bit better but posting now so some people can fix the game like i have. i really hope this works for everyone or atleast a few people. goodluck freelancers. Edit: just wanted to add that I also completely closed dragon center(manages my laptop functions like RGB keyboard. Overclocking cpu and GPU. Etc) as well as SteelSeries which does other laptop related cosmetic crap. If your anything like that. Close it. Edit2: would also highly recommend changing in the NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL: TEXTURE FILTERING - TRILINEAR OPTIMISATION ON. TEXTURE FILTERING QUALITY HIGH PERFORMANCE. and this one I think makes a massive difference. MAXIMUM PRE-RENDERED FRAMES 2. Now U can try drop it to 1 or 3 or whatever. Maybe test it out. I set mine to 2 and the game is running an infinite amount better than it was this morning before screwing around with this stuff. Just to clarify if you are getting 60 fps down from 80 this stuff probably won't help you. If you ARE getting fps dropping to zero and random 5 fps spikes. Some of this stuff might help. I'm glad a lot of you have fixed the issues with this info. The better advice is uninstall GeForce Experience. I did that long ago and never looked back.

in SP games, using the Frostbite engine, complete game sound loss rarely hits. Less than 5 times across 8 runs in DAI SP. Happened way more for me in DAI SP. Maybe every 10 to 20 hours, so several times a run. Was a PITA when recording vids for YT. On the other hand, I don’t recall it happening even once for MEA SP. Go figure.
