The suit/mecha looks quite a bit bigger than a person operating it, so it may just be a quirk of the suit that lets this particular setup jump better or something, while the operator may still be human. ???? I'm referring to the creature at 0:16 who looks distinctly fleshy not machine/armoury to me, what are you referring to? Sorry, was thinking of something different. |

The topography in the website image makes me think this isn't Earth (unless it's undergone a serious makeover). So, alien world... in the future. Colony that met with disaster? Tech and magic (or space-magic like biotics/psionics)? Possibly. The character on the right in the website image is clearly "different". I know people are going to make Destiny comparisons, but Space Mage is always going to make me think of playing Adept for my first playthrough of the original ME 10 years ago - which began my chain of always playing mages (or the local equivalent) in every game I play (digital or tabletop), when available. So, if that guy on the right can be described as such, my interest in this game will definitely move from my current "neutral-but-hopeful" to "pretty dang interested" very quickly. |

Are they ditching the minimalistic ME:A marketing cycle or do they have alot more to show than ME:A at the time? That is an excellent question. For a new IP, you have to do more marketing than for a sequel, to get some buzz going. But, as we learned from NMS, it's possible to overhype and set expectations way too high. They'll have to walk a very fine line to get it just right, leaning towards either 100% in-game engine footage for everything but that teaser, or 0% in-game engine footage with a 40-point disclaimer on every frame that it's not gameplay footage. And then keep details vague unless they already have it nailed down beyond all doubt. |

It is a bit disappointing though that EA is demoing their brand-spankin' New IP... at MS's keynote.  I imagine MS rolled up with a dump-truck of money to make this happen (and help promote Scorpio), but EA's conference would have been just that much better if they did it themselves. New platforms often want snazzy new IP to show off and bundle (depending on timing). Absolutely means dump-truck money, but it could also mean some early access to accelerated graphics, HDR, and other platform showcase technology. It will probably be a very short-term exclusive, like 1 or 2 weeks, and a bundle deal. Then goes cross-platform. Been done before. |

This is a good thing that were getting gameplay so early as compared to Andromeda when there was like 3 months left to till release...at least they'll get time for some feedback, because I highly doubt that it's going to hit Spring 2018. Also, BioWare likes to reuse assets and awful lot don't they? I mean, that jetpack on the top right is straight out of Andromeda and the guy on the right is the Kett orb enemy that I can't remember the name, and the font text looks awfully like the opening sequence of Andromeda. |

This might also be a one-up on Destiny, which only has three classes. But in Destiny-speak, the foreground characters sure look like Titan, Hunter and Warlock classes. You could paste those models into Destiny and never notice the difference. I really, really hope it's not a Destiny clone, but everything so far has been straight-up confirmation that it is. We'll see what the MS presser reveals. |

Hoping gameplay tomorrow shows dialogue choices and I hope they reveal that you can make your own character eg. select gender, name, appearance (if you ever actually see under the helmet), etc. I wouldn't expect a cc, just a line that states you can design your character.
