The house next door is a rental, one of the people has a car parked on the back garage pad, every day for at least the past week its car alarm goes off multiple times a day, almost as if it is on a timer. I was ready to put a note on the windshield but it looked like some other person beat me to it. Maybe I'll add a second note, or perhaps take my sledgehammer out and give it a reason to blare its alarm.

I'm alone again. She went to visit her parents again. I need to drop in to my previous job for a couple of days, but that's alright. I'm glad for the excuse. Now I need to go drink a glass of water. I have to keep discipline up, check the clock, let the TV run. I've already found myself peeing tea again. I don't understand how it's so easy for me to forget and get along on minimal fluid. It's not like it's healthy for me either, kidney stone and everything.
I cooked a delicious dinner. Best in a long time. Pity to have to eat alone. Did laundry. ...Now I should get some water...

Woke up super early from smoke and a sound that reminded me of a waterfall. Before I was fully awake I thought I was in a sinking submarine, then realized the smoke and water was very real. Ran to the connection box and turned off power, then I waded through ankle-deep water to the water pump and turned off water supply. Found the culprit right away, the water supply pipe has an overpressure valve just before it feeds into the water pump of my house, and that valve broke making all the water use the path of least resistance. The pump was losing pressure because it was no longer fed any water and it tried desperately to increase pressure. When a pump runs dry it tends to overheat and burn up very quickly. Luckily I turned off power before it was damaged, despite the smoke and it still works like a champ now that the valve has been fixed. That little pump is a stalwart warrior. Getting all the water out was not fun. That was not one of my best mornings, thats for sure but I guess it could have been a lot worse. I could have drowned and burned down at the same time. That would have been a stupid death, killed by a ā¬ 5 valve.

Today I stopped at a drive-thru for breakfast on my way to work. There was a bee chilling out on the edge of the order window, so when the cashier came to take my order, I warned him. Instead of freaking out like I think most people would, he told the bee to scoot over and very gently nudged it away from the window track with his pinky. The bee obliged. Every time he opened and closed the window to take my payment or hand me things, the cashier checked to make sure the bee wasn't in the way. I thought it was cute and wholesome

That is understandable if one happens to be allergic, but otherwise I think it's just a result of bad PR. That said, I wouldn't have poked the bee myself If I were a bee, I'd probably feel threatened by a giant finger trying to tell me what to do. I guess this bee was just especially polite.

Pluto no longer a planet, you do not have to put two spaces after a period, this world is going to hell in hand basket. Of course Pluto is still a planet. š You need to learn to ignore the nonsense of our times. The Astronomers can only decide about if they should call Pluto a planet, around their own table. They have no power over me or you or Pluto. Look, is that not a planet? And it circles the sun and has a moon.

I'm confused and a little bummed out, I mean more confused and bummed out than I usually am- because something annoying happened to me. Again. Just lost a friend.
This is the 5th time I lost a female friend because she got a boyfriend/partner. With ''friend'' I mean a buddy, a non-romantic friendship. We had fun chatting about some hobbies we shared, had pleasant conversations and talked about the world and all kinds of stuff to a degree I'd consider the relationship a friendship. Then suddenly, said person is just gone, absolutely vanished from the face of the earth. Said ''friend'' would then later reveal at some point that shes now in a relationship and would break up contact with me by ignoring me / being suddenly extremely cold and avoidant.
So was I just being used as a temporary replacement or distraction for a boyfriend? Was she romantically interested in me and I did not get it and I kind of friend zoned her? Is said friend concerned her new partner could mistakenly view me as competition?
For the record, this never happened to me with male friends. Not even once. Sure they would have less time when they start a new relationship but that friendship would continue, I would not be dropped like a hot potato.
I consider myself a little inept when it comes to women and friendships/relationships and interactions with other people outside my line of work - even other people say so - so maybe I'm missing something here.

I would assume that the girl with someone new would feel out of courtesy to her new partner or worrying there is a rival threat decides to cool off any male friend kind of thing. The simple fact of our society is sexes react totally different when a new person comes on the scene especially if the friend guy (yourself in this case) is a good looking fellow like yourself.
Either that our it could be the fact you have been wearing the pig butcher outfit all too often lately.

My impression is that the only 'safe' and successful way to have a friend relationship with a woman, is to pretend you're gay. But I also suspect she'll be very angry the day she discovers you're not. But you could kinda "give her the impression" without ever lying about it. š¤ That should leave you an excuse.

It is hot here, 32C at the moment and feel like I am melting when going outside. About 15 km away from my home there is a big festival (Pinkpop) going on, I am happy I am not there in this scorching heat. I love the summer heat, weather forecast has predicted 36cĀ° for this Sunday and I'm super happy! Gonna go for a walk and soak up those sunrays. Come to think of it I like all my things hot - hot food, hot weather, hot fire, hot chocolate, hot women!

Horror. Game build "fixed" was broken so it did not even start, "fixed 2" has regression in framerate and nothing works what I've tried. I need a vacation, thankfully it'll be in few days

I had a productive day, I got soooo much done in the office, I liked the work and felt energetic and motivated. I also had some ideas my boss really liked, I am working on them right now in my free time and I hope they prove useful in the near future.
While I work for money so I continue having a roof over my head and food in my belly its still nice to be productive and useful once in a while. And if its just for securing my job/position. You got to be realistic.

I'm growing teeth. Yeah, you read that right. And not wisdom teeth either, oh no. Wisdom teeth are molars, but mine are either incisors or premolars. I'm a man of science, so I know perfectly what this means: I'm finally getting fangs and becoming a vampire. And I totally accept my fate as an eternal creature of the night. Seriously though, I'm worried, because growing teeth at my age is no joke; new teeth can really mess things up in your jaw. And I'm of course hoping that they are not a sign of something much worse than future dental surgery.
