Had deadlift training today and couldn't find my lifting straps (that go around the wrists and the bar and help the fingers holding the weight) and my chalk, so I had to do 5 sets of 6 repetitions 200kg/440lbs deadlifts without any help for my fingers at all. I can hardly uncurl my fingers now. Great grip training but I don't want to do that again anytime soon. Please don't do that. If you damage your joints you are more likely to develop arthritis. Always do your utmost to protect your fingers. You are going to need them for decades to come.
Right, I'm beginning to sound like the attending here. Please tell me if you are getting tired of it. I'll tone down. The only thing I'm worried about is that I get shortened tendons in my fingers from holding very heavy stuff all the time. A friend of mine got that condition from focusing really hard on deadlifts for years, he could not open his hands all the way and had to undergo surgery on every single finger. I have to do more finger stretching I guess, do reverse movements with rubber bands.

And the inability to zip your fly, or use tools that require fine motor skills. All I'm saying is, don't over strain your hands and give them time to rest between exercises. (Yeah, there may be a joke somewhere over there )

I had been playing Civ V, continuously for 13 hours! Completely crazy. That's not so much crazy as it is normal for a gamer. Unfortunately it is the cause of your water balance problems. The valves in your veins need muscle activity to work and that activity is pretty minimal while playing. This is a simplified version, but basically water accumulates into your extremities and new water won't be taken in. So, no movement > veins won't return water > no thirst. This can be dangerous in the long run, as it promotes blood clots and kidney and bladder stones. I've been thinking about getting a standing desk, that would solve a lot of problems I have. I appreciate your response, and I'm going to try taking something from it. But you understand the situation wrong. I don't really identify as a "gamer", though I've played computer games now and then for decades. But there are other things, other "identities" that are more important for how I perceive myself. And gaming is not my first hobby, or even my second. I did do an 18 hour and then even a 20 hour game session once, when I was young, but that was a long time ago. Anyway, the day of 13 hours of Civ V, was the day I hydrated as I described (and hydrating resulted in more urine, and eventually lighter urine, as it should). Also, what I didn't mention, as late night approached, I began feeling weirdly sick in my stomach. That was the moment I realized that I hadn't eaten anything. Drinking water had kept my stomach satisfied. No, I've been living alone for many long periods previously in my life, but that was while working, and I think that gave me enough structure. Now, I occasionally get the feeling of living in a half dream. I woke up this Saturday, wondering if it was Wednesday or Thursday, thinking this week has passed quickly. I was quite shocked to read "SAT" on my watch. For a second I even considered the watch might be wrong. But no, it's a quality piece. But anyway, not drinking enough has been going on for the whole week, probably longer. I just don't seem to feel thirst as much as I should. I remember a different thing, not last summer, but the summer before, there was a very hot period and everybody complained. But I felt completely fine. I remember walking with one of my nieces' husband, him a young man and suffering and complaining, drenched in sweat. I was like, I'm fine, this is comfortable, the warmth feels good. I have become a camel. I'm trying to take a more conscious control of how I spend my days, now. And get more structure and routine into it. And awareness. Now I'm going to have a drink of water, because my pee is beginning to get darker again. P.S. And just to avoid another misunderstanding, I don't drink. I've hated being drunk all my life. I've never taken any drug for recreational purpose, and I've never been addicted to any drug, except maybe danger and adrenaline (which is a bit like heroin).

There's one thing that explains everything that you wrote down, but there's a problem. We are now entering into the realm of guesswork, and it would be totally unethical to give any actual medical advice. So what I tell you mustn't be taken as such.
It would appear, that there's something going on in your hypothalamus. The symptoms are textbook stuff, so much so in fact, that I was beginning to think this was some kind of test. The next course of action would be to actually see a doctor and get tests done. And don't tell them a guy on the internet told you so.

I'm done with that now. I'm submitting myself to daily routines now, for the rest of the time I'm alone. And me being a camel, with water and heat, I think that's just a residual of an acclimatization.

Took a break from MELE after finishing ME3, but I still had cravings for some Bioware-style adventures, and since I didn't feel like playing Dragon Age: Origins again for the umpteeth time, I got to playing SWTOR again, and then purchased a 30-day sub.
Seems like there's quite a bit of update since I last played, but I decided to create a new Sith Warrior again just to relive the story. "Theatrix" the Sith is pretty much like Ruth Shepard, a dark side warrior loyal to the cause but will turn to the light side after the Oasis mission on Tatooine.
Might share my character on the SWTOR thread in the future, but right now, I'm not even sure if my stay at SWTOR will be for the long term since I've only played it for a couple months last time I subbed.
Other than that, my real life situation is doing better. I've kinda gotten over the loss of my friends (told you I'd get over it) with this new escape into SWTOR. Give me a couple more months and things will return back to normal as if my issues with my ex-friends never happened.

Not so hot today after an unpleasant experience on SWTOR. I got kicked out of a FP group after refusing to skip the cutscene because it was my first time watching it.
See, this is why I hate MMOs. It's all so rushed and people are just mindlessly grinding through these missions without caring about the story. It's understandable that they've probably seen the same cutscene a dozen times, so it's not their fault, but that's why I prefer single players where I could enjoy the story at my own pace. I didn't play SWTOR for the socializing, only for the Bioware-style storytelling. Doesn't help that my "guild" wasn't really sympathetic to my humiliation, being kicked out like that for something like that. I think I'm gonna just leave the guild.
I think I might as well just give up on FPs altogether if other groups are like that. I was having a blast enjoying my class storyline until this FP group soured my experience. It was a mistake. I played this game to get away from BS drama like that, to escape from my stress, not to add more of it to my life. Man, reminds me why I hate people sometimes. Hard to get along with them.
I wish there's at least an option to experience the FP missions solo like with heroics. I tried doing it solo, but man, compared to heroics, FPs are on another level.

I wish there's at least an option to experience the FP missions solo like with heroics. I tried doing it solo, but man, compared to heroics, FPs are on another level. That's why I have historically disliked the traditional form of MP games, because aside from the mass confusion on the battlefield where everyone is shooting at everyone and I don't know what the hell I'm doing-- always get shot before I know what hit me. No fun. There is your issue, having other group players ruin your experience and 'not playing nicely'. I have always much prefered an Single Player story-based game where I can play the game on my own terms and spend time enjoying the story, watching the cutscenes (especially if it is a first time experience seeing them.....Of course you want to watch them, take everything in. I totally get that, I'm the same way). But then to have others try to dictate which scenes can and cannot be watched or enjoyed by other players is.....just not right. That was initially why I was turned off by the CO-OP play style of ANTHEM before I understood its purpose and how it functioned within the game, as well as having that split of when inside Fort Tarsis, this is YOUR single player story that you experience and enjoy on your terms. I liked that split, I actually really grew to like how they handled the mix of Co-op play 'on the field of battle, out int he world' with a single player POV inside the 'home base'. I have toyed with the idea over the years of getting into SWTOR....But hearing your experiences, only confirms for me that I should stay away.

I totally get that, I'm the same way). I think it's worse for me because I have an attention deficiency. Sometimes, I can't catch what an NPC has said and had to replay it again just to understand the context. That kind of short attention span isn't exactly ideal for fast-paced grouping... Sometimes, even when playing alone, I'd get confused easily and wouldn't know where to go or what to do next, and that's something some groups don't tolerate because they expect the group to move fast and finish fast. I have toyed with the idea over the years of getting into SWTOR....But hearing your experiences, only confirms for me that I should stay away. Actually, there's enough single player content to justify at least one playthrough, especially when you include the expansion packs (comes for free when you subscribe monthly). Also, considering there are eight class storylines (four for Republic, four for Imperial), plus the fact that you could play different alien species per class, it's actually a lot of content even if you don't group up with others... which I probably won't for the foreseeable future. Considering how much I've enjoyed Mass Effect though, SWTOR is a nice extension to my Bioware addiction as it also has a dialogue wheel and a "Paragon" and a "Renegade" option (but in terms of "Light" and "Dark" side). These Bioware style conversations and character roleplay are also some of the biggest reasons I'm interested in playing and paying. It even has companions and romances just like Mass Effect! Subscription is optional, but I think you'll have to pay for the expansion packs if you play for free.

Today I helped someone move and carried a 75kg gun safe down and up two stories. I didn't think it would be that hard, its not that much weight and I'm fairly strong, but it was HARD because of the bulky awkward shape of that thing and the stairs. I sweat like a raincloud. Also carried lots of furniture and other heavy stuff, I'm totally winded now.

I dont think I have touched it since, it was momentary crave for some SW universe but the GUI was super confusing with info overload at the beginning... maybe I'll test it someday again.

You had to say that the day I discovered a patch of silvery hair on both of my temples. I know eh..... Earler this year when I had grown a beard I noticed a small clump of gray hairs on the bottom-right corner of my chin, and then another small handeful of tiny short (about 1/2 inch long gray hairs) spread out across the right side of my head. Then I looked down at my chest....ad there were 3 ridiculuosly loooooong gray hairs that stuck way out. I immediately had this compulsion to yank them out! But when I shave my head smooth like Mr. Clean....you can't see my grays, which is good.

Not so hot today after an unpleasant experience on SWTOR. I got kicked out of a FP group after refusing to skip the cutscene because it was my first time watching it. See, this is why I hate MMOs. It's all so rushed and people are just mindlessly grinding through these missions without caring about the story. I have to confess, I have tried SWTOR but was so confused when I got into the game I didnt know what to do there. I dont think I have touched it since, it was momentary crave for some SW universe but the GUI was super confusing with info overload at the beginning... maybe I'll test it someday again. Yeah, I know what you mean. There was a lot to take in at the beginning, lots of "gear" and gear parts and currencies to keep track of (and I haven't even brought up Starfighter, which is where you get to pilot a ship in a pvp dogfight). But largely, you could ignore these unless you're interested in the group missions like Operations and Flashpoints (as these require decent gear). For the single player storylines, any decent gear would do. I've learned to kinda just ignore the stuff I didn't understand and went along with the story. There's also tutorial popups if you get confused about the interface as these will teach you the basics. Anyway, my day today at SWtOR isn't any better. Came off from another bad grouping experience when I messed up too often that a guy got fed up and left the group, having lost his patience because I made one too many mistakes. That's why I always get nervous grouping with people in MMOs because I have to constantly worry not messing up or risk pissing people off. Does wonders for my anxiety attacks. But guess this is just one of those days when I got too dumb to function. He basically blew up in my face and got all pissy. He's like, "CAN YOU STOP DOING SHIT ON YOUR OWN?" I think I'm definitely never grouping again in this game. I thought, why the hell not, give it another shot, and I guess I'm just not alert and reflexive to function in a fast-paced group where you constantly have to know what you are doing or risk the wrath of other members. Sigh. It's solo all the way from now on. Thank god there's enough solo content. People always wonder why I never got into multiplayers even though multiplayer games like Overwatch and Fortnite are so popular around the world. This, my friends, this is why. It's also why ME3 losing its multiplayer content in LE is no skin off my nose. I'm better off for it, not fearing of missing out.

1. Lockdown lifted today
2. Got the call I don't need to use crutches any more for getting around.
3. Went in to pick up a game pre-order, and got told I could pick up the ps5 I had on order as well.

My days have gotten better since I decided to solo it on SWtOR. So, as I predicted, there's definitely enough solo content to keep any Bioware/Star Wars/KotOR fans satisfied. Shadow of Revan has a really cool boss battle at the end that I won't spoil why it's so awesome, but it has quite a ME3 feeling to it, as in you get to feel how far your character has come. The Sith Warrior character in particular is a pretty fun character to roleplay for this storyline since there's a redemption mission to it early on in her class story where you get to choose the Light Side over the Dark one, so Shadow of Revan pretty much feels like "Look how heroic your character has become since choosing not to be a sadistic edgelord dark side Sith." lol Very tempted to spoil why this expansion pack is awesome for KotOR fans, but I'll just let you find out for yourself.
And then and then... it gets even better with "Knights of the Fallen Empire". Man, the fun just never ends with the solo content. So yeah, don't worry about what I said about the problems with grouping with people in this game. You don't really have to to enjoy the game.
